Muslim girls are the victims of "honor killings" for bringing shame upon their families for being too westernized or for displaying what a Muslim man claims is "immoral" behavior, which could be something as simple as being alone with a man.

Because of political correctness, those who have the power and ability to bring this horrific practice out into the limelight have chosen to remain silent. It is absolutely outrageous that the American Pravda, as well as the foreign press, can discuss these killings and mention everything but the one common thread that exists between the murders: Islam. As far as I am concerned, the corrupt Muslim-worshiping media is an accomplice to these crimes.

"Last Sunday, a landmark case in Canada came to its conclusion: Mohammad Shafia, his wife Tooba Yahya and their son Hamed Shafia were all found guilty of the Islamic honor killings of Hamed’s three teenage sisters and the polygamous Mohammad Shafia’s other wife. The verdict came despite the mainstream media’s best efforts to whitewash and cover up the motive for this mass honor killing.

Shariah did not prevail; justice was served. Yet the media’s malevolent enthusiasm to self-enforce the blasphemy laws under the Shariah ('do not offend Islam') has extinguished whatever humanity they might have had. Islamic gendercide is epidemic in Muslim countries and an increasing problem in the West as Muslim populations grow. Muslims are responsible for 91 percent of honor killings worldwide. Islamic law stipulates no penalty for a parent who kills his child.

Instead of expressing repulsion and outrage at the systematic murder of girls yearning to be free and shining a light on this monstrous religious slaughter, the media have gone to irrational (even criminal) lengths to deny the connection of this honor killing, and every honor killing, to Islamic law. We see this time and time again.

Such is the case in a column published in the Toronto Star on the morning of the day the verdict was announced. The dishonesty and dhimmitude of the Canadian columnist, Rosie DiManno, was particularly galling. She was almost cheerleading the murderers and absolutely whitewashing honor killings.

The honor murderers in the Shafia case were quite clear that the three Shafia daughters had disrespected Islam, and that’s why they were murdered. Mohammad Shafia expressed no regret, saying: 'I would do it again 100 times.' He made it clear that he did it because he thought his daughters were violating Islamic norms: 'May the devil s–t on their graves. Is that what a daughter should be? Would a daughter be such a whore?' He also said: 'God’s curse on them for generations. … They betrayed Islam.'

And yet Rosie DiManno wrote that honor killing had nothing to do with Afghan traditions (the Shafias are from Afghanistan) and hence nothing to do with Islamic traditions, either. DiManno comes across as a confused apologist desperately wanting to believe that the Shafia honor killing had nothing to do with Islam – but then she’s confronted with reality.   On the one hand, DiManno insists that 'there is nothing in being Afghan that can remotely rationalize or contextualize the crime of which they, with son Hamed, stand accused.' But then she quotes Tooba’s sister Soraya, who lives in Kabul, saying yes, that she would kill for honor. Soraya’s husband then adds: 'If any of (my) daughters dishonored me, I would put them in a bag and eliminate them so no one would ever find their traces in Afghanistan.'

And as for 'contextualizing the crime,' Islamic scholar Robert Spencer has pointed out the context time and time again:

'A manual of Islamic law certified as a reliable guide to Sunni orthodoxy by Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, says that “retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right.” However, “not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2). In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law.'

Also, several Muslim countries prescribe lenient sentences for honor murder.

But DiManno knows nothing about all this. She doesn’t even see what’s right in front of her face. She says in the same sentence that 'the Shafia family was not particularly religious,' but then adds that 'they did pray five times a day.' I kid you not.

DiManno’s observations about life in Afghanistan are completely anecdotal and do not reflect reality. On the one hand she writes, 'women are worth less than cattle and sheep. Daughters, sisters, wives are an extension of their menfolk. Creepy old men marry 10-year-old girls,' and then goes on to say that 'though honor killings are hardly atypical,' this one is just outside the limits of their barbarism. Tell it to all of the dead girls, Rosie.

DiManno’s entire column was a pathetic attempt to whitewash the motive of this mass honor killing, thereby paving the way for more of these murders.

CNN was no better last week, when it ran an entire report on the Shafia honor killings, noting that 'interrogations of the family never uncovered a motive.' What about Mohammad Shafia’s clear statements about how his daughters’ betrayal of Islam was his motive?

These are the lengths the dhimmedia will go to in its self-enforcement of Shariah. The deceit of CNN, the Crescent New Network, and Rosie DiManno’s whitewashing, on the motive of the Shafia murderers is a crime against women and humanity. The drowned Shafia girls deserved better."

Barack Obama is at war with the Catholic Church and its pro-life belief system. The most radical pro-abortion president in the history of our nation has mandated through his ObamaCare legislation that health insurance policies provide contraception, which is a violation of Catholic teachings. Most people, even many Catholics, may not be outraged by that requirement, but abortion drugs are also included in the legislation.

I seem to remember a certain president assuring Americans that abortion would not be covered in his healthcare plan.

Excuse me, but abortion drugs fall into the category of "abortion". It is time that all decent, moral Americans rise up and take a stand against this abuse of power from our president.

You and I know full well that if there were a requirement in a piece of legislation that offended Muslims, they would be given a option to reject that aspect of the bill. But, if Christians are offended, so be it. In fact, I would venture to guess that Obama gets quite a lot of pleasure in getting under our skin.

And to think that he had the gall to call himself a "committed Christian" when running for the presidency in 2008. By their fruits you will know them. Obama's fruits are, oh, so obvious to anyone who takes the time to examine them.

It’s impossible to overstate just how unjust the Obama administration’s decision in this matter actually is. Catholics and non-Catholics alike recognize it. Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson captures the magnitude of its meaning:

'Obama chose to substantially burden a religious belief, by the most intrusive means, for a less-than-compelling state purpose — a marginal increase in access to contraceptives that are easily available elsewhere. The religious exemption granted by Obamacare is narrower than anywhere else in federal law — essentially covering the delivery of homilies and the distribution of sacraments. Serving the poor and healing the sick are regarded as secular pursuits — a determination that would have surprised Christianity’s founder.

Both radicalism and maliciousness are at work in Obama’s decision — an edict delivered with a sneer. It is the most transparently anti-Catholic maneuver by the federal government since the Blaine Amendment was proposed in 1875 — a measure designed to diminish public tolerance of Romanism, then regarded as foreign, authoritarian and illiberal. Modern liberalism has progressed to the point of adopting the attitudes and methods of 19th-century Republican nativists. …

The implications of Obama’s power grab go further than contraception and will provoke opposition beyond Catholicism. Christian colleges and universities of various denominations will resist providing insurance coverage for abortifacients. And the astounding ambition of this federal precedent will soon be apparent to every religious institution. Obama is claiming the executive authority to determine which missions of believers are religious and which are not — and then to aggressively regulate institutions the government declares to be secular. It is a view of religious liberty so narrow and privatized that it barely covers the space between a believer’s ears.'

Why would Obama betray the religious leaders whose concerns he pretended to hear in this way? Shortly after the president met with the head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic bishops, Obama supporters expressed concern that any concession to Catholic leaders might cost him the votes of some liberal women in 2012. One of the readiest explanations for the president’s insistence on this is his unremitting desire to please his base, to retain votes, to win reelection.

Fortunately, Catholic bishops across the country have said they will not comply with this unjust law — and, now, Marco Rubio, too, has taken up the cause of religious liberty. His bill would expand the Obamacare religious exemption, which presently is so narrow as to exclude religiously-affiliated hospitals, schools, charities and businesses. It would ensure that no religious employer would be required to offer coverage in contradiction of the religious tenets the employer espouses. This bill undoubtedly faces an uphill battle in the Senate, but this is too important an issue to not address by every available means. My gratitude to Sen. Rubio for his prompt action on the matter."

It wasn't all that long ago that Egypt was a popular tourist attraction with the pyramids drawing people from all over the world to the land of the Nile.

In early 2011, Egyptian youths began demonstrating in the streets of Cairo leading to the Arab Spring and the end of the rule of Hosni Mubarak. Yes, Mubarak was a villain, but he was an ally to America, and he did maintain peace with Israel and did keep the Muslim Brotherhood under control.

America should have learned a lesson from the disastrous Carter foreign policy decision to not stand with loyal American ally, the Shah of Iran. His overthrow led to the Islamic Revolution and the horrors we see coming out of Iran today. Just as in the case of Egypt, the Shah was a villain, but nowhere near the threat these Islamic nutjobs in Iran are.

Fast forward to the present and we are witnessing a repeat performance of the same foreign policy blunder we saw in Iran take place in Egypt. So, what is the latest on the ground in Egypt? Oh, nothing to be concerned about, they are just discussing "chopping off hands".

(WaPo) — 'Retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin’s scheduled appearance at West Point’s annual prayer breakfaston Feb. 8 triggered protests from religious groups as well as veterans’ organizations.

A statement issued by West Point’s public affairs office Monday evening said that Boykin “has decided to withdraw” and that the academy would search for a replacement.

The outcome underscores the degree of controversy that continues to follow Boykin nearly eight years after he was reprimanded by the Pentagon for violating rules while delivering speeches in uniform that often mocked followers of Islam. In one instance, Boykin, a decorated special forces officer, said he knew that his side would prevail in a fight against a prominent Islamic militant in Somalia because “I knew that my god was bigger than his.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which along with a group calling itself VoteVets.org had asked West Point to retract the invitation to Boykin, welcomed the retired Army officer’s decision.

Boosting Food Stamp Participation

Now, we find out that the Obama regime is seeking to raise those numbers.

"Over the last three years, the number of Americans on food stamps has skyrocketed by two-thirds and stands at a record-high 46 million citizens, or one out of every seven people in the United States. Despite the historic rise in food stamp use, however, the Obama Administration believes not enough people are receiving food stamps who should be and is offering $75,000 grants to groups who devise 'effective strategies' to 'increase program participation' among those who have yet to sign up.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s website singles out Hispanics and elderly Americans as groups who often fail to enroll in the food stamp program (officially known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP) and says that one of the contributing factors that must be overcome to get more people to sign up for SNAP benefits is individual 'pride':

'There are many reasons why eligible people, including seniors and Hispanics, do not participate in the SNAP. These include unawareness of eligibility, confusion about program rules and requirements, a complex application process, and a lack of transportation and pride.'

To reduce these 'barriers' to food stamp enrollment, the Department of Agriculture offers non-profit groups the chance to receive $75,000 grants for projects designed to boost food stamp participation among those who are eligible but have yet to sign up. The Department of Agriculture believes that the SNAP program is 'severely underutilized' and says that 33 percent more Americans who are eligible to receive food stamps have yet to apply, thus the need to offer federal grants to sign more citizens up.

President Obama’s Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack has also argued that food stamps are an effective form of economic stimulus that puts 'people to work' because each time food stamps are used at a grocery store 'someone’s got to stock it, shelve it, package it, process it, ship it–all of those are jobs.'

And indeed, the SNAP Outreach Grant program likewise repeats the claim:

'Communities benefit from the economic impact of food stamp redemption in local stores. Every dollar of new food stamp benefits generates a total of $1.84 in community spending.'

Critics, however, find that line of logic unconvincing and say that is like arguing that car theft provides 'economic stimulus' because it generates work for window repair shops, car radio stores, and police officers.

The Department of Agriculture’s website lists the 2001 through 2009 SNAP Outreach Grant recipients but offers no data for 2010 or 2011. Of the years listed, the highest recorded total grant allocation occurred in 2002 when $5,046,915 in grants were allocated.

Given the historic rise in the number of Americans now receiving food stamps over the last three years, one might assume that a program to enroll more citizens in the SNAP program is no longer needed. However, according to page 27 of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s 2010-2015 Strategic Plan, the Obama Administration lists as one of its goals increasing SNAP participation by 2015 to a target 75 percent of all eligible Americans from the 2007 baseline of 65.8 percent. The strategic plan says it will accomplish the Administration’s goal through 'aggressive and creative outreach, customer service improvements, earned media activities, demonstration projects, and research and analysis to identify reasons for and potential solutions to participation gaps.'

Republicans, however, contend that taxpayer spending on the food stamp program has doubled under President Barack Obama and will reach $89 billion in 2012. Furthermore, they believe the program now suffers from serious fraud, abuse, and a lack of proper oversight.

On January 9th, the Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) sent a letter to Secretary Tom Vilsack requesting a full report on the Agriculture Department’s oversight efforts. And last year, the Wall Street Journal declared that under President Obama a 'food stamp crime wave' was rampant in America.

Still, thus far, the Obama Administration has decided to continue offering cash grants through the SNAP Outreach Grant program and plans to pursue its stated strategic plan of increasing food stamp enrollment through 2015."

AG Holder Caught In Another Fast And Furious Lie

"Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice did a document dump on Operation Fast and Furious to congressional officials late Friday night. One part of this was a series of emails showing Holder was informed of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s murder on the day it happened – December 15, 2010 – and that he was informed the weapons used to kill Terry were from Fast and Furious on the same day.

Let me reiterate. Eric Holder didn't find out about gunwalking and Fast and Furious 'a few weeks' before Congress called him in as he originally said (later amended to 'a few months') before his May 2011 testimony. He knew all about it the very same day:

'An email from one official, whose name has been redacted from the document, to now-former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke reads: “On December 14, 2010, a BORTAC agent working in the Nogales, AZ AOR was shot. The agent was conducting Border Patrol operations 18 miles north of the international boundary when he encountered [redacted word] unidentified subjects. Shots were exchanged resulting in the agent being shot. At this time, the agent is being transported to an area where he can be air lifted to an emergency medical center.”

That email was sent at 2:31 a.m. on the day Terry was shot. One hour later, a follow-up email read: “Our agent has passed away.”

Burke forwarded those two emails to Holder’s then-deputy chief of staff Monty Wilkinson later that morning, adding that the incident was “not good” because it happened “18 miles w/in” the border.

Wilkinson responded to Burke shortly thereafter and said the incident was “tragic.” “I’ve alerted the AG [Holder], the Acting DAG, Lisa, etc.”

Then, later that day, Burke followed up with Wilkinson after Burke discovered from officials whose names are redacted that the guns used to kill Terry were from Fast and Furious. “The guns found in the desert near the murder BP officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about – they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store,” Burke wrote to Wilkinson.

“I’ll call tomorrow,” Wilkinson responded.'

Adding to the paper trail, there already are a series of memos containing the intimate details of Fast and Furious that were sent to Holder throughout 2010 from several of his senior aides. Holder has continued to claim he never read them.

Holder is scheduled to appear before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform next Thursday, February 2. This will be the first time the House oversight committee will have an opportunity to question Holder himself, although Holder has already testified before Congress three times on Fast and Furious — twice before the House Judiciary Committee and once before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Congress needs to grow a spine and impeach this weasel, since the president won't fire him. And the fact that President Obama has had nothing to say about this also leads me to believe that this entire plot, which appears to be mainly directed at pushing a major erosion of Second Amendments rights by sparking violent incidents on the border goes far beyond AG Holder and directly into the White House itself.

Does Congress have the basic integrity to insist on a special prosecutor? I doubt it, but if they do, we might actually be able to get to the bottom of this."

New Bible Versions REMOVE ‘Father’ and ‘Son Of God’ Because It Offends Muslims

"Mainline Christian organizations are changing their holy scripture to avoid offending Muslims. Not only does this violate their scripture, but it also defeats the purpose of their mission--to share the Gospel. If mainline Christian organizations fear Muslims so much that they have to edit what they believe to be the Word of God, how far can they be from submission? Where are the righteous, the outraged, the proud?

It is Islamic authorities who should be excising the quran and hadith of the ideology that calls for jihad, genocide, subjugation and oppression of women, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and all non-Muslims. It is the ummah who should be calling for sharia bans. Instead, the Christians are bastardizing their scripture? The Muslims refer to Christians in their daily prayers as 'those who are led astray' (Muslims curse Christians and Jews multiple times in daily prayers). This madness validates their contempt and supremacism:

'Concerned Christian missionaries, Bible translators, pastors, and national church leaders have come together with a public petition to stop these organizations. They claim a public petition is their last recourse because meetings with these organizations’ leaders, staff resignations over this issue and criticism and appeals from native national Christians concerned about the translations “have failed to persuade these agencies to retain “Father” and “Son” in the text of all their translations.”

Biblical Missiology, a ministry of Boulder, Colorado-based Horizon International, is sponsoring the petition. The main issues of this controversy surround new Arabic and Turkish translations. Here are three examples native speakers give:

First, Wycliffe and SIL have produced Stories of the Prophets, an Arabic Bible that uses an Arabic equivalent of “Lord” instead of “Father” and “Messiah” instead of “Son.”

Second, Frontiers and SIL have produced Meaning of the Gospel of Christ , an Arabic translation which removes “Father” in reference to God and replaces it with “Allah,” and removes or redefines “Son.”

For example, the verse which Christians use to justify going all over the world to make disciples, thus fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) reads, “Cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy Spirit” instead of “baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Rev. Bassam Madany, an Arab American who runs Middle East Resources, terms these organization’s efforts as “a western imperialistic attempt that’s inspired by cultural anthropology, and not by biblical theology.” (more here)

Report: American Bible translators bowdlerize scriptures to avoid offending Muslims: no "Father" and "Son" Jihadwatch

'If this is true, for the parties they are trying not to offend, anything short of Islam -- of professing that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is his messenger -- would be "offensive." This is not making Christianity more palatable. It is de-Christianizing it. It is manufacturing yet another Christian heresy.

Indeed, for many denominations, the validity of baptism depends on the words used: "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." No euphemisms, no nicknames: for example, trial balloons aiming to portray a more gender-neutral God have already been burst: the use of "Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier" in baptism has been rejected by the Catholic Church, if not others.

Those who truly believe they are winning souls for Christ would not risk the validity of baptism, and those who are genuinely convinced that they possess the truth will not apologize or worry it is offensive.

As a technical matter, one wonders how the translators handle the words: "Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son" (1 John 2:22). And "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 10:33).

Wycliffe Bible Translators, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) and Frontiers are under fire for "producing Bibles that remove "Father," "Son" and "Son of God" because these terms are offensive to Muslims." Concerned Christian missionaries, Bible translators, pastors, and national church leaders have come together with a public petition to stop these organizations. They claim a public petition is their last recourse because meetings with these organizations' leaders, staff resignations over this issue and criticism and appeals from native national Christians concerned about the translations "have failed to persuade these agencies to retain "Father" and "Son" in the text of all their translations."'

Clearly, they fail to appreciate the far-reaching ramifications that Christians not only may dare, but are commanded to call on the Creator of the Universe as 'Father.' Second, Frontiers and SIL have produced Meaning of the Gospel of Christ , an Arabic translation which removes "Father" in reference to God and replaces it with "Allah," and removes or redefines "Son." Bassam Madany, an Arab American who runs Middle East Resources, terms these organization's efforts as "a western imperialistic attempt that's inspired by cultural anthropology, and not by biblical theology."

Third, Frontiers and SIL have produced a new Turkish translation of the Gospel of Matthew that uses Turkish equivalents of "guardian" for "Father" and "representative" or "proxy" for "Son." To Turkish church leader Rev. Fikret Böcek, "This translation is 'an all-American idea' with absolutely no respect for the 'sacredness' of Scripture, or even of the growing Turkish church."

SIL has issued a public response stating "all personnel subscribe to a statement of faith which affirms the Trinity, Christ's deity, and the inspiration of Scripture." However, in the same statement, which is similar to Wycliffe's, it claims "word-for-word translation of these titles would communicate an incorrect meaning (i.e. that God had physical, sexual relationships with Mary) [sic]," thus justifying substituting "Father" and "Son" in new translations. Calls and emails to Wycliffe and SIL to clarify their positions were not returned. Frontiers responded to calls with articles that critics have already dismissed as skirting omissions of "Father" and "Son" in new Bible translations.'

The point about sexual connotations is baloney. Many of these countries have, or once had indigenous Christian populations with scriptures in indigenous languages where this was not a problem. If they're coming up with something untoward, they need better translators."

U.K.: Girls as young as nine being forced into marriage

"Nine. There's that number again. Now, everyone knows only the greasiest of greasy Islamophobes retail the notion that the practice of marrying girls as young as nine has something to do with Muhammad marrying Aisha when she was six and consummating the marriage when she was nine, and he was six times her age at fifty-four. So, all of these people continuing the practice in the remotest, most undeveloped areas Afghanistan and Yemen out of Islamic piety must actually be reading American or European blogs, right?

Wrong. For example, there is Sahih Bukhari 7.62.88: 'The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).'

It is Islam's own texts and traditions that cause the practice to persist in places far removed from one another, and to appear where it had previously been unimaginable -- for example, Britain. 'Islington girls forced into marriage at the age of nine,' by Pavan Amara for the Islington Tribune, January 27:

'An alarming number of under-age girls – some as young as nine – are being forced into marriage in Islington, according to a leading campaign group.

The Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) claim that at least 30 girls in the borough were forced into marriage in 2010.

The practice was condemned by the Imam of Finsbury Park Mosque, who said such marriages were against Islam and “unacceptable”.

He pledged to invalidate any marriage which he said were carried out by “back-street Imams”.

IKWRO, which made headlines last month when they revealed there had been almost 3,000 “honour-based” violence cases in 2010, has shown the Tribune records which revealed at least three 11-year-old girls and two nine-year-olds had been forced into marriage with older men within Islington. The oldest girls involved were 16.

They have warned that hundreds of Islington girls could be suffering sexual, emotional and physical scars as a result of the child marriages every year and are calling for teachers, social workers and police to be better trained to spot and manage the abuse.

Information from the Ministry of Justice, following a Freedom of Information request, revealed that 32 Forced Marriage Protection Order applications were made for children under 16 in Britain last year.

Six of these were made for under-16s within Islington at the Royal Courts of Justice, although these were not necessarily made for Islington residents.

At the Islington court, “five or fewer” orders were made to protect children between the ages of 9-11.

The orders are a form of injunction that threaten legal punishment if marriage takes place due to emotional or physical force.

In most cases, the children fear they will be killed if they reveal the truth to anybody, while others believe they will be separated from their families and taken into social services’ care.

Dianna Nammi, director of IKWRO, explained that the girls are married in a mosque’s sharia court. This means they are not legally married according to British law, rendering the Home Office unable to recognise or prove the abuse.

“They are still expected to carry out their wifely duties, though, and that includes sleeping with their husband,” she said.

“They have to cook for them, wash their clothes, everything. They are still attending schools in Islington, struggling to do their primary school homework, and at the same time being practically raped by a middle-aged man regularly and being abused by their families. So they are a wife, but in a primary school uniform.'

That's not being 'practically' raped. The practice will diminish when the law comes after the 'husbands' and families with the force with which they would pursue child molesters and human traffickers. This is rape, and it is human trafficking.

'“The reason it doesn’t get out is because they are too terrified to speak out, and also the control their families have over them is impossible to imagine if you’re not going through it. The way it is covered up is so precise, almost unspeakable.”

Ms Nammi said that one 13-year-old had to sneak out of a maths lesson to contact the group, because she was being monitored so closely by her family.

“Her teacher didn’t notice because she said she’d gone to the toilet, but when she got home that day she was beaten,” she said.

“Her father knew she hadn’t been in maths because he had sent an uncle to spy on who she was talking to through the classroom window.”

Ms Nammi said that the girls are married off to family friends or family members to stop them from losing their virginity to anyone not chosen by their father.'

As young as nine. Heaven knows they're all going to become wild party animals at age 10.

'However, the incentive is also often financial.'

The financial aspect supports the human trafficking angle:

'“The girl automatically becomes her husband’s property, so he takes financial responsibility for her,” said Ms Nammi.

“In fact, often the husband has to start contributing to the girl’s family, so it becomes a way of bringing in another salary.

“Who are girls going to tell? Often they feel like teachers at school won’t understand what their families are like. They will think they’re like Western families, and won’t understand that if they pass on anything at all that they’ve been told to the family, then the girl will be killed. So they just chose not to tell at all.”....'"

For today’s global Islamist movement, the Muslim Brothers are what the Bolsheviks were for the Communist movement of the 1920s – the ideological reference point and organizational core which decisively inspired all the subsequent tendencies and continues so to this day.'

The Brotherhood’s links to the Nazis began during the 1930s and were close during the Second World War, involving agitation against the British, espionage and sabotage, as well as support for terrorist activities orchestrated by Haj Amin el-Hussaini in British Mandate Palestine. This was confirmed by a wide range of declassified documents from the British, American and Nazi governmental archives.

‘Fight to continue until Judgment Day’

Reflecting this connection, the Muslim Brotherhood also widely disseminated Hitler's Mein Kampf and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in Arab translations, further deepening and extend already existing hostile views about Jews and Western societies. The founder of the Muslim Brotherhood Hassan al Banna said, for example:

While Egypt is the Muslim Brotherhood’s home base, the organization has branches in 70 countries, including Bahrain, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. In 1987, the Hamas branch of the Muslim Brotherhood was founded and represents today a bitter threat to Israel on every front.

In October 2011, Dr. Muhammad Abd Al-Rahman Al- Masri wrote that the conflict between Muslims and Israel is, at heart, religious and that jihad must be waged wherever Islamic land is occupied: 'The conflict between the Zionist state and the Muslim ummah is not like the fight between a landowner and a plundering occupier. This fight is, in essence, a struggle of faith...The Koran indicates this fight (will continue) until the Day of Judgment.'

Another writer on the Muslim Brotherhood website said: 'The attack on the Israeli embassy in Cairo is one of the milestones of Egyptian revolution.' Moreover, in a recent MEMRI report on a Muslim Brotherhood website, the researchers documented the worst degree of Holocaust denial and condemnations of the Egyptian Israel peace treaty.

So how bad is the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise for Israel? Despite reassuring words by Brotherhood spokesmen, the movement’s long anti-Jewish track record and its recent entry into Egyptian parliament suggest that difficult days are ahead."

CNN Conceals Motive Behind Canadian Honor Killings

"On June 30, 2009, Mohammad Shafia, with the help of his wife Tuba and his son Hamed, murdered his three daughters and his other wife in Ontario, Canada. The wealthy Shafia family worked quickly to conceal their actions, staging a car accident and weeping for their daughters. The media rushed to support the grieving family, until evidence showed that the girls' deaths were no accident.

Yesterday, CNN posted a video about the murders, noting that 'interrogations of the family never uncovered a motive.' Indeed, the closest CNN comes to identifying a motive in the killings is when the reporter says that the Shafia family comes 'from a very conservative Afghan background.'

Yes, it's the family's Afghan background, rather than some other background, that is most relevant to this case. At no point in the video does CNN use the words 'Islam' or 'Muslim.'

This is all the more disturbing when we consider that Mohammad Shafia himself, in a recorded conversation, identifies his daughters' betrayal of Islam as his motive for the killings. He declares:

'They betrayed kindness. They betrayed Islam. They betrayed our religion and creed. They betrayed our tradition. They betrayed everything.'

Shafia was so confident that his actions were justified, he had absolutely no remorse for killing his daughters:

'"God curse their generation, they were filthy and rotten children."

"To hell with them and their boyfriends, may the devil shit on their grave."

“Even if they come back to life a hundred times, if I have a cleaver in my hand, I will cut (them) in pieces.”'

Yet CNN remains puzzled about Shafia's motive. I assume CNN is also puzzled about why Muslims commit 91 percent of the world's honor killings. But there's a difference between (a) being puzzled due to ignorance of Islamic teachings, and (b) willfully concealing the stated motive of a group of murderers. By deliberately leaving Islam out of the equation, CNN has joined in the cover up."

Undersecretary of State Robert Hormats, part of a U.S. delegation that held unprecedented talks last week with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, said Washington wanted to provide “more immediate benefits” to Egyptians, who earlier this month conducted their first democratic elections in decades.

“During this period, we want to be as supportive as we can. This is an historic moment. Egypt’s a country of enormous importance,” Hormats said.

Under the plan, some non-urgent U.S. aid slated for other countries – he did not name them – would be redirected to Egypt. And funding in the pipeline for long-term programs in Egypt would be shifted to quick-impact projects, he said.'"

Since we are discussing Egypt, let's take a look at how the Egyptian people are faring since the ousting of Mubarak, via Joshua Pundit:

The New Egypt - Bankrupt And Sinking Fast

"All hail the wondrous Arab Spring!

It is one year ago today that the protests in Cairo's Tahrir Square began that ended in the fall of the Mubarak regime. It was fitting that President Obama mentioned it last night, since he had a major role in that 'wave of change', calling for Mubarak's ouster and signalling to the Egyptian military whom now control the country which way to turn. It's well worth examining how things are going.

The parliamentary elections have been held, and the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood and the hard core Salafist al-Nour Party won - surprise!- over 75% of the seats. The FaceBook and Twitter liberals in places like Cairo and Alexandria everyone in the West was so in love with proved to be a negligible political force, and Egypt is likely headed towards an Islamic Republic as soon as the proper arrangements are made with the Army.

The Army originally had ideas of a government that had little civilian control over the military or is it's budget, ala' the old Turkish model. In response, Islamists played their cards quite cleverly, gradually fomenting discontent against military rule and instigating violent riots after Friday prayers over the military's refusal to turn over power to a civilian government. The riots resulted in a harsh series of crack downs that effectively turned the military from the people's heroes during the Revolution into oppressors and the chief villains opposing 'democracy'. Between September and the end of December, something like 100 demonstrators were killed by the Army and police, while hundreds were injured and arrested.

The military junta's tactics also turned the Brotherhood and the Salafis into heroes, and the election results show how effective their tactics were. The Egyptian military will almost certainly have to make the same devil's bargain with the Islamists that the Iranian military did.

So Egypt is likely headed towards Islamist rule, but the country's future is looking increasingly grim. Egypt's economy is essentially collapsing from within.

After the Lara Logan gang rape and the widespread scenes of unrest, most of Egypt's tourism industry is dead, and the rest will likely collapse as soon as the Islamists take power and put sharia law in place to outlaw alcohol, bikinis and mixed bathing on beaches.

Sectarian violence against Egypt's Coptic Christians, who largely supported the Revolution is ensuring that a large group of Egypt's more prosperous and educated citizens are emigrating.

Investors are unwilling to buy Egyptian bonds even at double digit interest rates, which means that Egypt's ability to borrow is being cut to the bone. No one wants the Egyptian pound. The only Egyptian bonds anyone wants to buy are dollar-denominated treasury bills. After the results of the last election, currency flight has become a major problem, as anyone with money is stashing it overseas as fast as they can in euros or dollars, preparing for a relocation out of the country.

Foreign aid is also problematical. Egypt's government has begun negotiations for a $3.2 billion IMF loan and still receives about $1.3 billion annually in military aid from the US but that's not enough for Egypt's needs and won't even begin to replace the amount of money leaving the country. And it's also likely that as things unravel, any of that military aid that isn't directly spent on armaments will likely follow the rest of Egypt's treasury overseas, while foreign nations are unlikely or unwilling to be able to commit large amounts of aid right now. Unlike Libya, there's no significant oil wealth in Egypt to tap.

Any warehoused resources or stocks that can be sold for cash are being liquidated, resulting in shortages of fuel, foodstuffs and even medicines in a number of localities according to numerous reports. Since Egypt has a population of over eighty million it can't support or feed on it's own, food imports are a necessity and there is increasingly less money to do so, or for consumers to buy it even if it were available.

Egypt is heading for some very uneasy times.

Aside from major economic woes, Egypt's political situation looks increasingly bleak from an American standpoint. The best case scenario is an agreement between the military and the Islamists for governing which would at least ensure a certain amount of domestic peace, but would almost certainly be a setback for American strategic objectives in the region - helping to guard the Eastern Mediterranean, cooperating with the US on anti-terrorism efforts, keeping the Suez Canal and its access to the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf functioning and continuing to observe the Camp David Accords. Mubarak was at least a nominal, anti-Islamist ally in these matters, but those days are gone.

The Obama Administration will likely try to appease Egypt's new Islamist rulers, and Deputy Secretary of State William Burns met with Brotherhood leaders earlier this month to begin that process. Given the Brotherhood's hostility toward almost every American policy aim in the Middle East, that will probably end up working as well as President Carter's attempts to appease the Ayatollah Khomeini in Iran did.

In later years, historians will be looking at President Obama's encouragement of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamists in Egypt, Libya and elsewhere the same way way they now see Jimmy Carter's encouragement of the same thing in Iran...as a major foreign policy blunder."

The hypocrisy from the Left is absolutely unbelievable. First, we have Warren Buffett whining that he doesn't pay enough taxes when, in reality, he hasn't paid the taxes that he already owes. It just makes you want to wring his neck for being such a hypocrite. Of course, not one word from the American Pravda on Buffett's outstanding debt to the IRS. That little detail should be blaring across our TV screens.

Now, I find out that the Obama regime, which makes it a point of bombarding us daily with its "the rich need to pay more taxes" rhetoric, is also guilty of not being current with its tax debt -- to the tune of over $800,000. If Obama wants to discuss "fairness", let's call him out on the "unfairness" of his corrupt cronies not paying the taxes they currently owe.

(Well, you heard it a lot; I read the speech and then commenced to have a life on Tuesday night.) Obama made half a dozen references to fairness in relation to taxes in the address, including taking a shot at Congress:

'But in return, we need to change our tax code so that people like me, and an awful lot of members of Congress, pay our fair share of taxes.'

Just like with charity, perhaps fairness should start at home:

,From postal workers to congressional staffers, federal workers failed to pay billions in taxes in 2010. According to records released by the Internal Revenue Service, active and retired federal employees and military personnel combined owed $3,420,168,684 in unpaid taxes for 2010, an increase of more than 3 percent over the previous year.

As has been the case in past years, the agency with employees who owe the most in unpaid taxes is the U.S. Postal Service, where 25,640 employees owe nearly $270 million. Employees in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives owe more the $10 million. Active duty military owe more than $100 million.'

What WTOP doesn’t mention except in a chart is what the White House itself owes. That comes to $833,970, or twice what the President makes in a year. Andrew Malcolm catches that, though, and notes that Obama’s staff can’t exactly claim poverty, either:

'A new report just out from the Internal Revenue Service reveals that 36 of President Obama’s executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. These people working for Mr. Fair Share apparently haven’t paid any share, let alone their fair share.

Previous reports have shown how well-paid Obama’s White House staff is, with 457 aides pulling down more than $37 million last year. That’s up seven workers and nearly $4 million from the Bush administration’s last year.

Nearly one-third of Obama’s aides make more than $100,000 with 21 being paid the top White House salary of $172,200, each.

The IRS’ 2010 delinquent tax revelations come as part of a required annual agency report on federal employees’ tax compliance. Turns out, an awful lot of folks being paid by taxpayers are not paying their own income taxes.'

Divide the amount of delinquency by 36 and it comes to an impressive $23,165. If the average household making $50,000 pays an effective income tax rate of 20%, that comes to more than twice what the average annual household owes per year.

Perhaps Obama should focus less on castigating others for paying exactly what current law says they should, and focus more on getting his own White House in order on paying their current 'fair share.'"

Muslim Children in America are Being Taught to Hate

"In the last five years I have personally visited over 250 Islamic Centers, Mosques, and Islamic Schools throughout America. The goal of my research has been to determine what Islamic leaders are teaching the young and innocent Muslim children. The findings are abhorrent, sad, unbelievable, frightening, and most disturbing is the fact our government is keeping this dangerous fact from the American people. Muslim children attending mosques and Islamic schools are being taught to hate America, our government, our military personnel, and its non Muslim population. In this article I will identify three significant mosques in America that are leading the way in teaching Muslim children to hate and to influence them to commit violent acts inside our country.

In America we have been programmed by the media and political leaders to believe violent teachings of Islam are only being taught to children in Palestine. We have watched the Muslim Palestinian children spew their taught hatred of the Israelis. What Americans are not being shown (due to political correctness) are that Muslim children throughout the world and specifically inside America are being taught violence and hatred in mosques, Islamic schools and Islamic Centers.

Children as young as 7 years old are being taught that to assimilate with America is to disrespect and dishonor Islam. They are being taught our military personnel are the enemies of Islam and it is justifiable to kill anyone who dishonors or oppresses the Islamic ideology.

During my research I have identified numerous mosques that are teaching young Muslim children to hate America and are leading them to commit future violent acts against our country and innocent people. I would like to focus on three such mosques. They are:

1.Dar al Hijrah, Falls Church, VA
2.Al Farooq, Nashville, TN
3.At Taqwa, Brooklyn, NY

Anwar al-Awlaki was an imam at the Dar al Hijrah Mosque from January 2001 until 2002. Three of the 9/11 hijackers, Khalid al-Mihdhar, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Hani Hanjour, attended some of Awlaki’s sermons at this mosque.

My researchers and I spent several weeks at the Dar Al Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA. Almost immediately we were informed to obtain our study material from the Halaco Bookstore which is located nearby the mosque. It was very apparent upon entering the store and reviewing the materials that the bookstore provides materials for the Sunni (Wahhabi) Muslim population across the U.S. and specifically for Dar Al Hijrah. I was able to spend many hours talking with store personnel and was invited to the home of one employee to discuss Islamic issues. There is a large section in the store dedicated to the education of the Muslim children. I discovered materials that are being sent to Islamic schools across America. Much of the material deals with Sharia and Jihad. One of the DVD’s and books I obtained was by an Islamic scholar Ahmad Sakr. Sakr travels the U.S. visiting Islamic schools and educates them in Sharia law. I have watched one of his videos in which he tells the young children our government is evil and not to follow the laws of our country and Americas government leaders will all go to hell.

The material provided by Dar Al Hijrah and their selected Islamic bookstore also was filled with violent Jihad. There were manuals informing the readers how to destroy America and how to kill anyone who oppresses Islam. They are told how to obtain weapons to include weapons of mass destruction. Although all of the above is very disturbing and should (and actually is) against the law, the Muslim leaders of Falls Church, Val are allowed by our government to indoctrinate the Muslim children into future violence against our country. The next mosque (Al Farooq/Nashville, TN) is even more disturbing.

My research team and I spent two weeks at the Al Farooq mosque in Nashville, TN. The mosque was Sunni and had the typical violent books and DVD’s/videos pertaining to the overthrow of any government system that oppresses Islam. They also had numerous teachings from current Islamic leaders operating in America who are teaching the Muslim population to hate our country and its people. Although this should frighten all concerned citizens, there was even sadder and disturbing intelligence collected at this mosque. Lately we have all read about the child brides and forced marriages in Afghanistan and in Saudi Arabia. What most Americans do not realize is that child marriages are occurring throughout our country and specifically in Nashville, TN.

One young 7 year old Muslim girl at Al Farooq talked to our researcher about being beaten (MP3 file) by her Islamic leaders and being married (MP3 file) to a Muslim man. I reported the matter to the Nashville authorities but almost from the beginning they were reluctant to intercede because this was a religious institution and more importantly to them it was Islamic. Senior law enforcement authorities of the Nashville police department informed me they were afraid of being sued by Islamic organizations such as CAIR if they got involved and it would be a political nightmare to get anything done at the mosque. What bothered me most of all is the fact I contacted Islamic organizations to help this innocent Muslim child and they also balked. This reinforced to me that Islamic law (Sharia) is alive and very active inside our country, to include child marriages. The next mosque I am going to discuss is led by an Islamic leader I have previously described as the most dangerous man in America.

At Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, NY is led by an Islamic scholar who is not only a major fundraiser for CAIR (terrorist supporter) but travels throughout the U.S. teaching his violent ideology of Islam. He is Imam Siraj Wahhaj. For those who have never visited the Islamic district of Brooklyn it would come to a surprise to many that the area around At Taqwa is similar to the Wahhabi land of Saudi Arabia. I have previously described Wahhaj as the most dangerous man in America. I have reviewed hundreds of his Friday (Juma) mosque lectures.

In this speech (MP3) he tells his followers that around the world Muslims will wake up and say

'I don’t want to follow the way of the colonial masters any more. I want the Sharia. I want Islam. We want to be ruled by Islam. And all we have to do is go back to that golden generation.'

He routinely called America an evil country and is a strong leader in developing Sharia law inside our country. His violent lectures are available to the adult and child Muslims throughout America.

'Those who struggle for Allah, it doesn't matter what kind of weapons, I'm telling you it doesn't matter! You don't need nuclear weapons or even guns! If you have faith in Allah and a knife!! If Allah wants you to win, you will win! Because Allah is the only one who fights. And when his hand is over your hand. whoever is at war against my friends, I declare war on them.'

Islamic teachings such as this are what led the Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood Murderer, to commit his acts.

Although I have only focused on three mosques that lead the way, introducing Muslim children to violence and hatred, there are hundreds scattered across the U.S. Few states are immune from this growing threat. The violence spewed by these Islamic leaders will ultimately lead to more violence in the name of Islam. I have witnessed firsthand the violence being taught. There are numerous such Islamic centers in NC, FL, VA, NY, and CA.

Unless Muslim parents decry the violent teachings of Islam to their children, there will continue to be more and more Siraj Wahhaj type Islamic leaders in America. The ultimate result will be the suffering of our country as we now see in France, Britain, and Canada."

ObamaCare Provides Free Abortion Drugs

It's time for the Church to stand tall against the godless policies of the "committed Christian", Barack Obama, the same man who seems as if he gets a kick out of seeing how many babies he can snuff out through the brutal practice of abortion.

The latest new law lies within the ObamaCare legislation which requires those with healthcare coverage to provide free birth control, which may not sound so outrageous. But, contrary to what many may think, some birth control methods are a form of abortion because fertilization occurs, though "the pill" prevents an embryo from implanting on the uterine wall. I was on the pill for several years in my early marriage years, and NOBODY ever bothered to tell me this little detail. In all fairness, I was a wacko liberal in those days, so I probably wouldn't have cared, but many women would if they knew the truth.

Another thing to consider: If the Church can somehow stop this requirement, which is unlikely, don't be surprised if it loses its tax exempt status. Obama would love to deal the Church such a punishment for daring to oppose his godless practices.

'Pro-Choice' Obama Forces Religious Institutions to Pay for Abortion Drugs

"President Barack Obama, a lifelong champion of abortion, is hell-bent on forcing religious institutions to pay for birth control and abortion drugs coverage for their employees. New regulations implemented by the Obama administration mandate that sterilization options, abortifacients (abortion drugs), and contraception services must be included in virtually all health plans, including those offered by Christian charities, church-based hospitals, Christian universities, and other faith-based social services agencies. Obama now demands that his anti-life and pro-abortion agenda be supported not only by our tax dollars, but also by the donations of Christians who consider the destruction of human life morally abhorrent and an abomination. Abortion is held in such high regard by President Obama that he is willing to violate the First-Amendment religious rights of millions of Americans in order to impose and fund his agenda.

On January 20, 2012, the Health and Human Services (HHS) department, under the direction and influence of the Obama administration, issued a final rule that requires that health insurance plans, including those of religious institutions, 'cover preventive services for women including recommended contraceptive services without charging a co-pay, co-insurance or a deductible.' HHS's rule further states that plans must cover the 'full range of the Institute of Medicine's recommended preventive services, including all FDA-approved forms of contraception.' The FDA's list of approved methods of contraception includes abortifacients, abortion drugs prescribed to kill life in the womb after conception.

Pro-Abortion Groups Cheer and Praise Obama

Confirmation of the wrongness and immorality of this mandate came directly from the head of NARAL, a militantly pro-abortion organization. Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL, praised the Obama administration for its courage and steadfast support of this government policy. 'The administration stood firm against intensive lobbying efforts from anti-birth-control organizations trying to expand the refusal option even further to allow organizations and corporations to deny their employees contraceptive coverage,' she said. 'As a result, millions will get access to contraception-and they will not have to ask their bosses for permission.'

On its website, NARAL proudly touts its intense pro-abortion lobbying efforts. 'NARAL Pro-Choice America activists sent 135,543 messages to the Obama administration calling on the White House to stand strong in support of no-cost coverage of contraception. This latest activism adds to the list of actions it has taken to make no-cost birth control a reality for all American women.' Clearly, Obama listened and agrees with their stance. As a result, not only do his rules force faith-based organizations to cover these abortion services, but these organizations must also offer said coverage for free, with support from donations and dues from their members, whose religious beliefs and views emphatically oppose abortion.

Catholic Organizations Condemn the Mandate

Reaction from the Catholic Church, its bishops, several Catholic universities, and many other Catholic leaders has been swift and categorical.

Cardinal-designate Timothy M. Dolan, archbishop of New York and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, sharply criticized the president's decision and denounced the rule as unconscionable. 'Never before has the federal government forced individuals and organizations to go out into the marketplace and buy a product that violates their conscience. This shouldn't happen in a land where free exercise of religion ranks first in the Bill of Rights,' Cardinal-designate Dolan said. 'The government should not force Americans to act as if pregnancy is a disease to be prevented at all costs.'

'This is nothing less than a direct attack on religion and First Amendment rights,' said Franciscan Sister Jane Marie Klein, chairperson of the board at Franciscan Alliance, Inc., a system of thirteen Catholic hospitals. 'I have hundreds of employees who will be upset and confused by this edict. I cannot understand it at all.'

Patrick J. Reilly, President of The Cardinal Newman Society, a Catholic university watchdog group, denounced the 'cult of choice' agenda of the Obama administration. 'The White House has sold the First Amendment for a few pennies of political support from the ACLU and the abortion lobby,' he said.

Despite the strong denouncements and intense opposition from Catholic groups, Obama agreed to delay this mandate only until 2013. This transparent 'compromise' is obviously intended to help his re-election efforts and deflect the full effect of the controversy until after the November 2012 elections. Luckily, these political games have little traction with the Catholic Church. 'In effect, the president is saying we have a year to figure out how to violate our consciences,' said Cardinal-designate Timothy M. Dolan. 'The Obama administration has now drawn an unprecedented line in the sand. The Catholic bishops are committed to working with our fellow Americans to reform the law and change this unjust regulation.'

Archbishop Dolan and the Catholic Church understand the seriousness and severity of this latest attack on all faith-based organizations. Obama's mandate sets a dangerous precedent for our democracy and undermines our Constitution. It is a wholesale assault on the specific protections of religious liberties afforded to all Americans by the First Amendment: 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.' If this abomination is allowed to stand, then the religious liberties of all Americans -- not just Christians and Catholics -- will be endangered. Such an unconstitutional and tyrannical policy must be opposed and defeated if liberty is to survive in the 'land of the free and home of the brave.' Silence is not an option, now more than ever."

That comes to 6.1 percent of his gross adjusted income two years before he ran for president.

Obama is overwhelmingly generous compared to Vice President Joe Biden’s charitable donations in 2006.

According to Biden’s 2006 tax return, the couple gave $380 dollars to charity out of his $248,459 adjusted gross income; a percentage of 0.15.'

What Happened to Our Allies in the Middle East?

It just drives me nuts that Obama gets high ratings on foreign policy. If only the average American understood what was taking place around the world, he would be horrified by the damage Obama's policies have brought to the Arab world and as a result to the West. However, with an American Pravda unwilling to reveal the truth and a majority of our citizens unwilling to take the time to dig into what's going on with the Arab Spring, we have an ignorant, uninformed populace.

You and I, on the other hand, are well aware of the harsh consequences of an Obama foreign policy. Let's review some of them again, in case anyone has forgotten them.

Remember that the $6 million question is: Are we witnessing naivete, as during the Carter years, or is this all intentional? I'll leave that to the reader's discretion, but I tend to go with the latter.

'TO UNDERSTAND the depth and breadth of America’s losses, consider that on January 25, 2011, most Arab states were US allies to a greater or lesser degree. Mubarak was a strategic ally. Saleh was willing to collaborate with the US in combating al- Qaida and other jihadist forces in his country.

Gaddafi was a neutered former enemy who had posed no threat to the US since 2004. Iraq was a protectorate. Jordan and Morocco were stable US clients.

One year later, the elements of the US’s alliance structure have either been destroyed or seriously weakened. US allies like Saudi Arabia, which have yet to be seriously threatened by the revolutionary violence, no longer trust the US. As the recently revealed nuclear cooperation between the Saudis and the Chinese makes clear, the Saudis are looking to other global powers to replace the US as their superpower protector.

Perhaps the most amazing aspect to the US’s spectacular loss of influence and power in the Arab world is that most of its strategic collapse has been due to its own actions. In Egypt and Libya the US intervened prominently to bring down a US ally and a dictator who constituted no threat to its interests. Indeed, it went to war to bring Gaddafi down.

Moreover, the US acted to bring about their fall at the same time it knew that they would be replaced by forces inimical to American national security interests. In Egypt, it was clear that the Muslim Brotherhood would emerge as the strongest political force in the country. In Libya, it was clear at the outset of the NATO campaign against Gaddafi that al-Qaida was prominently represented in the antiregime coalition. And just as the Islamists won the Egyptian election, shortly after Gaddafi was overthrown, al-Qaida forces raised their flag over Benghazi’s courthouse.

US actions from Yemen to Bahrain and beyond have followed a similar pattern.

In sharp contrast to his active interventionism against US-allied regimes, President Barack Obama has prominently refused to intervene in Syria, where the fate of a US foe hangs in the balance.

Obama has sat back as Turkey has fashioned a Syrian opposition dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Arab League has intervened in a manner that increases the prospect that Syria will descend into chaos in the event that the Assad regime is overthrown.

Obama continues to speak grandly about his vision for the Middle East and his dedication to America’s regional allies. And his supporters in the media continue to applaud his great success in foreign policy. But outside of their echo chamber, he and the country he leads are looked upon with increasing contempt and disgust throughout the Arab world.

Obama’s behavior since last January 25 has made clear to US friend and foe alike that under Obama, the US is more likely to attack you if you display weakness towards it than if you adopt a confrontational posture against it. As Assad survives to kill another day; as Iran expands its spheres of influence and gallops towards the nuclear bomb; as al- Qaida and its allies rise from the Gulf of Aden to the Suez Canal; and as Mubarak continues to be wheeled into the courtroom on a stretcher, the US’s rapid fall from regional power is everywhere in evidence.'

How About Some Change We Can Believe In, Mr. President?

President Obama rammed his annoying class warfare message down the throats of Americans last night during his SOTU speech. I personally did not watch it; I make a point of not listening to his speechs because they are nothing more than lie after lie after lie, and then some more lies. Details always come out through news reports, so I still get the jist of the speech.

Obama is all-consumed with what he calls "fairness", even if it harms the country and its fragile economic state. So let's throw some fairness back at him. Read this great article from the American Thinker:

You're right Mr. President, We Need More 'Fairness'

"Thank you Mr. President, for bringing up the issue of fairness. I'm sure that's important to many people. One curious thing, though, with regard to the application of 'fairness' it seems that all the recommendations you have, are decided by the government. Who decides what is fair?

Here's some suggestions:

The average Federal employee can be paid no more than the average American employee, currently $42K a yr. Wouldn't that be fair? And the highest amount paid to any retired Federal employee should be no more than the highest Social Security monthly amount. Wouldn't that be fair?

In the past few years, average Americans have lost ten percent of their income. All Federal employees shall receive ten percent pay cuts, and only receive increases when the average American earns more. Isn't that fair? After all, how can the government hope to get more money from taxpayers who are earning less?

Working middle class Americans can't leave a job for months or years, look for a new job, and still get paid. Why should government employees be able to run for any federal office while holding and being paid for another elected office?

No employee in any Federal or state job should receive more than one pension. That sounds fair.

The Senate hasn't passed a budget in 1,000 days. They should lose their paychecks and all fringe benefits until they pass a budget. Isn't that fair?

No one who worked in Congress can ever work as a lobbyist. Including staffers. Sounds fair to me.

Everyone who travels on Air Force One must pay their own way, be they friends of the President, First Lady, or staffers. That's eminently fair. No American flies for free. And they must undergo full scanning and/or patdowns like all Americans. Fair is fair. If they do not pay a full amount to be determined by the CBO, their flight is counted as income and they must pay income tax on that amount, just as everyone else does for gifts. No one who flies on Air Force One can be involved in campaigning, fund raising, or Federal contracts.

The First Lady shouldn't use any tax dollars for personal items such as clothes, 30 personal assistants. She should be limited to two assistants. Any more, they come out of the First Family's paycheck. If she buys clothes or receives them as gifts, those items count, at full retail value, as income. She must pay income tax on that just as all other Americans do. The First Family must stop taking vacations and living lavishly on the taxes of people who lost their jobs and homes. That's only fair.

No government worker at any level, state, Federal, or local should be part of a union with collective bargaining that makes political contributions to politicians who vote on their contracts. SEIU, NEA, AFSCME, and the other unions should not be allowed to contribute to any political campaign or party. These unions take money from taxpayers and use it to pay off politicians to give them pay/benefit raises. That gives them more say than the American taxpayers. Is that fair? It would be illegal for private employees to give money to their boss, in order to persuaded the boss to give them a pay raise. Fair is fair.

Congressional Representatives should not be allowed to invest in any interests for which they have a vote.

The President and politicians can no longer use 'moral extortion' to dodge tax cuts. Such as 'the poor will suffer,' the homeless will suffer, etc. In reality it's the rich Federal workers who will suffer. The taxpayers decide what is politically correct, not the government.

It's only fair: it's change we can believe in. It's only fair that voters decide what changes should be made. The Federal government has demonstrated a complete and reckless disregard for the financial needs of the average American family."

Sunday marked the 39th anniversary of Roe V. Wade. Try to digest the fact that more than 54 million babies have been sacrificed on the altar known as selfishness. And we wonder why America is in the shape it's currently in.

We should be thankful that we have such a merciful God who hasn't snuffed us off the face of the earth for our crimes against humanity. We're no better than the neighbors of the ancient Israelites who sacrificed their children to their false gods. Is that any different than what we are doing in America today?

Just think what an additional 54 million Americans could have done to solve our social security problem.

The CDC relies on figures from state health departments, some of which rely on voluntary reporting — and it hasn’t had data from some states such as California and New Hampshire for more than a decade.

TORONTO – 'A pro-Israel Christian pastor from Uganda is receiving free medical treatment in Israel after being attacked with acid in Kampala on Christmas Eve.

Umar Mulinde, 38, converted to Christianity from Islam when he was in university. Since then, he has openly criticized Islam, and his ministry has included public debates with Muslims. His wife is a popular gospel singer.

The evangelical minister learned about Israel through JerusalemOnlineU.com, which offers online courses about Israel and Judaism. Mulinde went on to teach the courses at his Gospel Life Church International as well as to neighbouring Christian ministers. He also organized a 5,000-person teach-in about Israel in a local stadium.

The acid attack appears to have had religious overtones.

“I was attacked by a man who called out to me shouting ‘Pastor, Pastor’ and I turned to see who he was,” said Mulinde. “Then he poured acid which burnt part of my face. As I turned away from the attacker, another man poured liquid on my back and ran away shouting ‘Allah Akhbar’ (God is greater).”

The acid caused severe burns to Mulinde’s face and torso and damaged his right eye. While in hospital in Kampala, he contacted Andrea Gottlieb, executive director, JerusalemOnlineU.com, and asked whether the school could help him seek more advanced medical treatment in Israel. Gottlieb turned to Professor Zeev Rotstein, director, The Chaim Sheba Medical Center, in Tel Hashomer, Israel. In addition to its global humanitarian work, Sheba has specialized in providing care for eye and burn injuries throughout Africa. Rotstein offered to provide acute and rehabilitative care to Mulinde at no charge.

A JerusalemOnlineU.com board member worked with Israel’s Foreign Ministry to arrange travel visas on short notice and Mulinde arrived in Israel, via India and Jordan, on Jan. 5. He is receiving treatment at the Sheba Burns Unit and the Sheba Eye Institute.

“Pastor Mulinde uses our courses to share his love for Israel with others,” said Gottlieb. “He is a devoted and loyal friend of Israel. We quickly responded to the pastor’s urgent needs and are grateful that he is now receiving the best medical treatment in the world.”

Rotstein added, “Healing is deeply ingrained in Jewish history and tradition. So it was only natural that we agreed to help Pastor Mulinde.... I trust that we can rehabilitate him and perhaps help him regain his eyesight.

The estimated 200,000 to 400,000 Christians in this country must remain deeply underground. An estimated 50,000 to 70,000 Christians are held in ghastly prison camps.

Speaking of Christians being persecuted, our president, the "committed Christian" is nowhere to be seen on this issue. Wouldn't you expect such a devout man to be fighting for the protection of his fellow believers? NOT! Sorry, but there is nothing resembling a Christian to be found in Barack Obama.

What's that Biblical saying? By their fruits, you shall know them. Hmmm, Obama is a huge supporter of abortion on demand, homosexuality, and omitting anything to do with religion from our public places(except, of course, his favorite Middle Eastern religion). He drips with disdain for Israel. He has avoided any association with Christian events, such as the National Day of Prayer and has even stated that America is not a Christian nation. Why The President Should Speak Out Against Religious Persecution

"Yesterday on Christian Solidarity International (via RaymondIbrahim.com), I discussed the many reasons why a president of the United States -- I don't name any, specifically, lest I be accused of great naivety -- should speak up on behalf of the religious minorities being persecuted, cleansed, or merely oppressed under Islam:

'On January 24, during his State of the Union Address, the president of the United States has a chance to expose the plight of religious minorities living in Muslim majority nations. Doing so would not merely shed light on one of the most ignored humanitarian crises of the 21st century; it would help alleviate it.

Why should the president speak up on the oppression of religious minorities? For starters, because it is the right thing to do, and reflects American values and principles.

Iran's Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, whose plight actually made it to the mainstream media, is but one of many people imprisoned and tortured for simply following their conscience and converting to Christianity. However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2). In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law.

Syria in 2009 scrapped a law limiting the length of sentences for honor killings, but "the new law says a man can still benefit from extenuating circumstances in crimes of passion or honour 'provided he serves a prison term of no less than two years in the case of killing.'" And in 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Now Arizona might just focus on state law to ensnare some of Holder’s associates — and perhaps even Holder himself — for violating state gun regulations in their zeal to paint gun dealers as amoral mercenaries profiting by arming the Mexican drug cartels."

I'm Back!!

And it feels great. I spent the last three weeks seeking God to see if He wanted me to continue with this blog; I only want to do it if it's the Lord's will. It takes a significant amount of time to research all the information I post, and my family has to come first. At one point during my break, I felt led to quit. But, then I read two key verses in the Bible that tugged at my heart.

Ezekiel 22:30 says:

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."

Esther 4:14 says:

"For if you altogether hold your peace at this time, then shall relief and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father's house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether you are come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

I don't for a minute mean to imply that my voice is of such importance as those mentioned in these verses, but nevertheless, I believe the Lord has called me to speak out on these issues which are so all-consuming to me.

During this three-week period, I also listened to a John Hagee sermon in which he said the following:

"God's going to hold you accountable if you see evil and look the other way. If you see evil and don't call it evil, that is evil. You can't change what you won't confront."

Yesterday, my pastor preached on serving God and doing what we feel called to do. He asked,

"What is the one thing that is your passion and that you just can't get away from?"

For me that is standing against a certain religion, defending Israel, and fighting for my country's very survival. It was like God was speaking to me alone in that service. Plus, He reminded me that He gave me the ability to write passionately and effectively and of what a poor writer I was in high school and college. So, I think I have my answer. As is so often the case, He waited until the last moment to reveal it to me.

That being said, I am eager to get back to work. Hopefully, I haven't lost too many followers to this blog.

"Say goodbye and good riddance to 2011— another tough year for America. Before we move on to 2012, let us pause to reflect upon the year gone by. Here then, are the Top 10 Lowlights of 2011.

1. Obama’s class warfare: Obama began his re-election bid by attacking bankers, insurance companies, Big Oil, and pharmaceuticals—while raking in campaign cash from the very same. This sophomoric and cynical appeal to inflame class warfare in order to win votes ignores the root of America’s woes: big government, out-of-control spending and massive debt.

2. Occupy Wall Street: This so-called movement of the 99% that arose in 2011, soon disintegrated into local bands of ruffians, homeless squatters, progressive activists, and aimless youngsters. By blocking workers from earning a living, these so-called 'social justice' advocates hurt the very people they claim to represent. Not to mention the public health hazard caused by their filth. Go occupy your parents’ basement for awhile and give us a break.

3. Pipeline politics: For a President who assures the nation that he is all about job creation, Obama’s delay of the Keystone XL pipeline is the height of hypocrisy. Choosing political support from environmentalists over tens of thousands of good paying jobs is an insult to unemployed workers.

4. Fast and Furious: Letting guns 'walk' into the hands of Mexican drug lords was not a good idea in the first place, but the way that Atty. Gen. Eric Holder’s Justice Department is covering up 'who-knew-what when' is equally criminal. With pitbull Rep. Darrell Issa on the investigative trail, new revelations will likely keep this one on next year’s lowlight list.

5. Solyndra goes belly-up: Billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent trying to create 'green jobs' and finding alternative sources of energy. As the bankruptcy of Solyndra proved, those ventures can’t compete in the marketplace even when heavily subsidized. To get real energy jobs, it’s time to allow the real development of U.S. energy resources, opening up coastal oil drilling and tapping the vast deposits of natural gas and shale oil in the heartland.

6. Wisconsin union war: Faced with a rollback of their lucrative taxpayer-funded benefits and pension plans, public employees in Wisconsin protested the cuts, with teachers leaving their classrooms, Democratic legislators fleeing the state and unions flooding the state capital building with boisterous members. How about funding your own 401 (k) like the rest of us?

7. Weiner’s Tweets: Rep. Anthony Weiner (D.-N.Y.) broke new ground in political sleaze, bringing congressional indiscretion into the world of Twitter. Horrified Americans were forced to see a new bulging crotch shot every time they turned on the news, until the humiliation drove Weiner from office. Good luck with your job search, Tony.

8. Media attack on GOP: No matter which Republican running for President rose in the polls, the media was ready to pounce. Bachmann was portrayed as a flake; Perry, a dunce; Cain, a molester; Gingrich, as zany. Interestingly, many of the same reporters now on the attack are the same ones that forgot to vet a certain Democratic candidate in 2008.

9. Do-nothing Senate: The Democratic-led Senate is setting new records for not getting things done. It’s been years since the chamber passed a budget and unless a spending bill has money for a Cowboy Poetry Festival it is unlikely to pass muster with Majority Leader Harry Reid. We say it’s time for the Senate to get to work and a good place to start would be the pile of bills already passed by the House of Representatives.

10. Hollywood shenanigans: We had to save a place for Hollywood on the list. After all, 2011 saw Charlie Sheen go insane, Lindsay Lohan pose for Playboy between court appearances, Kim Kardashian’s nano-second marriage, and Alec Baldwin get tossed from a plane for boorish behavior. Need we go on?"

Canada's Economy Is Soaring

I absolutely LOVE to see Bible prophecy fulfilled. In Genesis 12:3, God warned that He would bless those who bless the Jewish people and curse those who curse them. Too bad our leaders do not abide by God's advice.

We are witnessing the promise made by God, even today. America and Europe in particular have both pressured Israel to give up its God-given land and have defended the enemies of the Jews, and where have such policies led us? We are both in economic ruin and have little hope for the future.

There is one nation which has stood by Israel in recent years, while at the same time, nation after nation has mocked and villified the Jewish nation. That nation is Canada. And while the world's economies are blowing up before our very eyes, what's the situation in Canada?

Amazingly, the Canadians are sitting pretty amidst all this chaos. Sure, a conservative form of government makes a huge difference, but there is more to it than that. The favor of God is upon Canada for its support of Israel, especially when it is probably the only nation to show such support. I certainly can't think of another nation to do so. I hope the Canadian people realize the gem they have in Stephen Harper, the loyal friend to Israel.

There is a lesson to be learned, but don't expect the morally bankrupt and spiritually depraved nations in Europe and America to figure out the secret of Genesis 12:3.

Christians could disappear from Iraq and Afghanistan Christian Post December 30, 2011

'Christianity in Afghanistan and Iraq could be eradicated in our lifetime, partially as a result of the US troop withdrawal, says Leonard Leo, chairman of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).

This is the pattern throughout the Middle Eastern region, Leo said in a video interview with Terry Jeffrey, editor in chief of CNSNews.

“The flight of Christians out of the region is unprecedented and it’s increasing year by year,” Leo said, concluding with a grim prediction that Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan and Egypt.'

They could disappear from Egypt because of the Obama-endorsed ascendancy of the Muslim Brotherhood.

'Since the war began in March 2003, Iraq erupted into sectarian violence, leaving US troops in charge of trying to contain what threatened to become a civil war.

The situation turned out to be catastrophic for the Christian community there, as violence against Christians soared, including an attack on a church in Baghdad in October last year, in which 58 congregants were killed.'

Even the Christian Post doesn't dare name who was responsible for that violence: Islamic jihadists.

'Up to 900,000 Christians have fled the country since, according to a recent study by Minority Rights Group International.

The religious freedom expert echoed many others in accusing the Iraqi government of failing to take adequate steps to protect Christians or prosecute those who attack them.

“One of the big problems from the very beginning was that our country and others were unwilling to acknowledge that the fight in Iraq was largely a sectarian conflict and there wasn’t enough emphasis placed on the flight of Christians and other religious minorities, particularly in the northern part of Iraq,” Leo told CNSNews.com.'"

With all the extensive research that I've done on Islam, I am grieved over the ill treatment that Muslim women receive from their males. But, I find it mind-boggling when some of the abuse directed at these women comes from other women. How can that be? I guess it is similar to cases we hear regarding abused people growing up to become abusers themselves.

In addition they say she had chunks of flesh cut out with pliers.

Sahar Gul was married off to a 30-year-old man around seven months ago, when she was just 14 years old. Her parents contacted police after not being able to see her for several months.'"

According to the report, the fortune of Nasrallah's deputy, Sheikh Naim Qassem, and other senior organization members amounts to as much as $2 billion.

Straw companies

A British security source who worked at the embassies in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon in the 1990s is quoted as saying that the West has figured out Hezbollah's money laundering method.

According to the source, the Shiite organization's common method is setting up straw companies in Arab or African countries, which sell cars or large amounts of goods.'

See also: the recent identification of a ring of over 30 U.S. auto businesses implicated in funneling almost half a billion dollars to Hizballah.

'The organizations also operate small cells of six to 10 people who specialize in stealing cellular phones, personal computers or credit cards, and open fake bank accounts using the victims' details.

By setting up companies, mainly in Eastern European countries and in Soviet republics in central Asia, Hezbollah provides all the financial needs of the organization members in Lebanon.

According to a recent report among many on the organization's financial situation, senior Iranian officials are furious over an internal report pointing to corruption among Hezbollah's highest ranks.

Another report says the Iranians were "amazed" to learn of the flamboyant life led by the organization members, mainly during their visits abroad.'"

"I waited until it had got to 24 hours after [she left] and then I gave it one more hour, and then there was a knock on the door. It was the police.

The two doctors were indicted by a grand jury after a 16-month investigation, police said.

The investigation began in August 2010 after a botched procedure at Brigham’s Elkton clinic. An 18-year-old woman who was 21 weeks pregnant had her uterus ruptured and her bowel injured, and rather than call 911, Brigham and Riley drove her to a nearby hospital, where both were uncooperative and Brigham refused to give his name, authorities said.

A search of the clinic after the botched abortion revealed a freezer with 35 late-term fetuses inside, including one believed to have been aborted at 36 weeks, authorities said.

Brigham, 55, is charged with five counts of first-degree murder, five counts of second-degree murder and one count of conspiracy. Riley, 46, faces one count each of first- and second-degree murder and one conspiracy count.'"

On December 27, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) released its latest Annual Report for 2009-2010. The report indicates PPFA had a total budget of $1.04 billion and an excess of revenue over expenses of 18.5 million dollars — a net profit.

The abortion business reports $513 million in current assets and $570 million in property, equipment and an endowment while showing $184 million in liabilities for buildings and other debts.

The new report also reveals 46 percent of the total PPFA budget comes from taxpayer dollars in the form of government funding. At the same time, just 21 percent of the income the abortion business brings in comes from private donors (it lists 528,000 active donors) while 31 percent of its revenue is derived from abortions “non-government health services revenue.”'

Report: Radical Sheikh a Key Mediator in U.S.-Taliban Talks IPT News December 28, 2011

'Radical Islamist cleric and longtime Muslim Brotherhood spiritual guide Yusuf al-Qaradawi serves as a "key mediator in secret talks between the U.S. and the Taliban," according to unnamed government sources referenced in a report published late Wednesday in The Hindu.

In early December, the report said, "Qaradawi helped draw a road map for a deal between the Taliban and the United States, aimed at giving the superpower a face-saving political settlement ahead of its planned withdrawal from Afghanistan." The United States is expected to begin pulling out of Afghanistan in 2014.

The Qaradawi-brokered deal calls for significant American commitments, including "the release of prisoners still held by the United States at Guantanamo Bay, the lifting of United Nations sanctions on its leadership and its recognition as a legitimate political group." In return, the Hindu's sources say, the Taliban would be "expected to sever its links to transnational organisations like al-Qaeda, end violence and eventually share power with the Afghan government."

If true, the report raises significant questions about American strategy in the talks and the enhancement of a radical cleric's stature.

Qaradawi repeatedly has lashed out against Jews, glorifying violence against them and calling for Allah to "count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one." In 2009, he prayed for the chance to kill a Jew before dying. He has readily encouraged suicide bombing as "the greatest of all sorts of Jihad in the Cause of Allah." And, perhaps most troubling when considering the nature of the talks, Qaradawi actively supported the killing of U.S. servicemen and women, writing in 2003:

"Those killed fighting the American forces are martyrs given their good intentions since they consider these invading troops an enemy within their territories but without their will…Although they are seen by some as being wrong, those defending against attempts to control Islamic countries have the intention of Jihad and bear a spirit of the defense of their homeland."

None of this should come as a surprise to U.S. officials. In September, Wikileaks released U.S. diplomatic cables showing, among other things, the government's awareness of the Doha-based cleric's support for "martyrdom operations" and the Iraqi insurgency.'"

WASHINGTON (Reuters) — 'The Obama administration is considering transferring to Afghan custody a senior Taliban official suspected of major human rights abuses as part of a long-shot bid to improve the prospects of a peace deal in Afghanistan, Reuters has learned.

The potential hand-over of Mohammed Fazl, a ‘high-risk detainee’ held at the Guantanamo Bay military prison since early 2002, has set off alarms on Capitol Hill and among some U.S. intelligence officials.

As a senior commander of the Taliban army, Fazl is alleged to be responsible for the killing of thousands of Afghanistan’s minority Shi’ite Muslims between 1998 and 2001.

According to U.S. military documents made public by WikiLeaks, he was also on the scene of a November 2001 prison riot that killed CIA operative Johnny Micheal Spann, the first American who died in combat in the Afghan war. There is no evidence, however, that Fazl played any direct role in Spann’s death.

Senior U.S. officials have said their 10-month-long effort to set up substantive negotiations between the weak government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the Taliban has reached a make-or-break moment. Reuters reported earlier this month that they are proposing an exchange of “confidence-building measures,” including the transfer of five detainees from Guantanamo and the establishment of a Taliban office outside of Afghanistan.

Now Reuters has learned from U.S. government sources the identity of one of the five detainees in question.'"

I still believe that Obama is waiting for the moment when Israel attacks Gaza so that he can apply his "responsibility to protect" to the savage Palestinians; he's just itching to take on Israel. Of course, none of this can take place until his presumed re-election. Gotta deceive those Jewish voters, you know.

Obama administration secretly preparing options for aiding the Syrian opposition

"As the violence in Syria spirals out of control, top officials in President Barack Obama's administration are quietly preparing options for how to assist the Syrian opposition, including gaming out the unlikely option of setting up a no-fly zone in Syria and preparing for another major diplomatic initiative.

Critics on Capitol Hill accuse the Obama administration of being slow to react to the quickening deterioration of the security situation in Syria, where over 5,000 have died, according to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights. Many lawmakers say the White House is once again 'leading from behind,' while the Turks, the French, and the Arab League -- which sent an observer mission to Syria this week - take the initiative to pursue more aggressive strategies for pressuring the Assad regime. But U.S. officials said that they are moving cautiously in order to avoid destabilizing Syria further, and to make sure they know as much as possible about the country's complex dynamics before getting more involved.

But the administration does see the status quo in Syria as unsustainable. The Bashar al Assad regime is a 'dead man walking,' State Department official Fred Hof said this month. So the administration is now ramping up its policymaking machinery on the issue. After several weeks of having no top-level administration meetings to discuss the Syria crisis, the National Security Council (NSC) has begun an informal, quiet interagency process to create and collect options for aiding the Syrian opposition, two administration officials confirmed to The Cable.

The process, led by NSC Senior Director Steve Simon, involves only a few select officials from State, Defense, Treasury, and other relevant agencies. The group is unusually small, presumably to prevent media leaks, and the administration is not using the normal process of Interagency Policy Committee (IPC), Deputies Committee (DC), or Principals Committee (PC) meetings, the officials said. Another key official inside the discussions is Hof, who is leading the interactions with Syrian opposition leaders and U.S. allies.

The options that are under consideration include establishing a humanitarian corridor or safe zone for civilians in Syria along the Turkish border, extending humanitarian aid to the Syrian rebels, providing medical aid to Syrian clinics, engaging more with the external and internal opposition, forming an international contact group, or appointing a special coordinator for working with the Syrian opposition (as was done in Libya), according to the two officials, both of whom are familiar with the discussions but not in attendance at the meetings.

'The interagency is now looking at options for Syria, but it's still at the preliminary stage,' one official said. 'There are many people in the administration that realize the status quo is unsustainable and there is an internal recognition that existing financial sanctions are not going to bring down the Syrian regime in the near future.'

After imposing several rounds of financial sanctions on Syrian regime leaders, the focus is now shifting to assisting the opposition directly. The interagency process is still ongoing and the NSC has tasked State and DOD to present options in the near future, but nothing has been decided, said the officials - one of whom told The Cable that the administration was being intentionally cautious out of concern about what comes next in Syria.

'Due to the incredible and far-reaching ramifications of the Syrian problem set, people are being very cautious,' the official said. 'The criticism could be we're not doing enough to change the status quo because we're leading from behind. But the reason we are being so cautious is because when you look at the possible ramifications, it's mindboggling.'

A power vacuum in the country, loose weapons of mass destruction, a refugee crisis, and unrest across the region are just a few of the problems that could attend the collapse of the Assad regime, the official said.

'This isn't Libya. What happens in Libya stays in Libya, but that is not going to happen in Syria. The stakes are higher,' the official said. 'Right now, we see the risks of moving too fast as higher than the risks of moving too slow.'

The option of establishing a humanitarian corridor is seen as extremely unlikely because it would require establishing a no-fly zone over parts of Syria, which would likely involve large-scale attacks on the Syrian air defense and military command-and-control systems.

'That's theoretically one of the options, but it's so far out of the realm that no one is thinking about that seriously at the moment,' another administration official said.

Although the opposition is decidedly split on the issue, Burhan Ghalioun, the president of the Syrian National Council, earlier this month called on the international community to enforce a no-fly zone in Syria.

'Our main objective is finding mechanisms to protect civilians and stop the killing machine,' said Ghalioun. 'We say it is imperative to use forceful measures to force the regime to respect human rights.'

Is the U.S. bark worse than its bite?

Rhetorically, the administration has been active in calling for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step aside and protecting the rights of Syrian protesters, despite the lack of clear policy to achieve that result. 'The United States continues to believe that the only way to bring about the change that the Syrian people deserve is for Bashar al-Assad to leave power,' White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Dec. 21.

On Tuesday, Dec. 27, the administration hinted at stronger action if the Syrian government doesn't let the Arab League monitors do their work. 'If the Syrian regime continues to resist and disregard Arab League efforts, the international community will consider other means to protect Syrian civilians,' State Department spokesman Mark Toner said in a statement.

The Syrian National Council (SNC), the primary organization representing the opposition, has been very clear that it is seeking more than rhetorical support from the United States and the international community. An extensive policy paper titled, 'Safe Area for Syria,' edited by SNC member Ausama Monajed, laid out the argument for armed intervention by the international community to aid Syrian civilians."

He was a poor orphan who lost his mother at the age of 6 and then was brought up by his grandfather and uncle, then married a woman 15 years older than him. He defended this people from the enemy and the wars that he fought were only defensive. This was what I knew all my life until recently when I read the truth behind his benevolent demeanor, when I was exposed to books such as " target="_blank">Understanding Muhammad, The Truth about Muhammad, The Cult of the Moon God, Why I am not a Muslim and several other similar books. One day, I want to write a book as well, about my past life and a typical Muslim woman’s life, the challenges she faces on a day to day basis. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said last week that he was open to the idea but added, “It’s a federal thing that we really don’t want to do without talking to Washington, and we’ll be doing that.”

A spokesman for the mayor declined to elaborate on the city’s reasons for consulting with Washington. Ignizio said he had been told by the mayor’s office that Pentagon officials were concerned that a celebration could spark violence overseas and were evaluating the risk....

Wise words spoken by the Lord Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount. I can't think of a better verse to use to expose the truth about Barack Obama. While running for president in 2008, he sold himself as a "committed Christian", and way too many Christians fell for his lie.

One look at his pastor, Jeremiah Wright should have caused great concern from any true Christian. Those of us who cling to our Bibles saw Wright as a charlatan as soon as he was introduced on video with his rants against whites and Jews.

It's actually a simple process to determine whether the American people were sold a bill of goods; examine Obama's actions as president and you will soon see that there is nothing Christ-like about this man or his policies.

"Dear Mr. Obama,

From the time you declared your candidacy for president of the United States and announced under your breath that you are a Christian, many true, Bible-believing Christians immediately had doubts about your muffled profession of faith. After all, for 20 years you drank deeply from the well of Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- who, in spite of the clerical garb he wears, preaches a Universalist gospel. It is not the true gospel that Jesus proclaimed, which clearly states that He and He alone is the only way to heaven and the Father. That claim was for all people of the earth.

The Bible is not ambiguous, Mr. President, as you and some of your Universalist friends believe. Jesus made it clear in John 14:6 that He alone is 'the way, the truth, and the life.' Furthermore, the Bible testifies in Acts 4:12 that 'there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved' except the name of Jesus.

That, Mr. Obama, is true Christianity.

Be that as it may, millions of Bible-believing Christians gave you the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait and see. After all, in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, 'By their fruit you will recognize them' (Matt. 7:20). Many in the Evangelical community deliberately refused to judge you by your questionable associates and friends; they wanted to see for themselves.

And sadly, Mr. President, you deeply disappointed them.

Not only did you use endearing, even fawning, statements and declarations regarding Islam and Muslims, but you deliberately treated the National Day of Prayer underhandedly. While publicly recognizing every Muslim holy day in the past year, you failed to issue an Easter proclamation in 2011. You chose not to mention the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is, after all, the foundational bedrock of your Christian faith and the very reason why our nation celebrates Easter.

The limits of time and space do not afford me the luxury of enumerating your many anti-biblical and anti-Christian executive orders and policies. But I must speak to the bombshell of December 6, 2011.

You see. Mr. President, there are persecuted Christians in your home country of Indonesia, as well as in Nigeria. And thanks to your indecisive and failed policies, we have added Egypt to the list. These beleaguered Christians have always looked to the United States for encouragement and affirmation. But when they look to you, they find none.

Imagine, Mr. Obama, their dismay that you have not publically threatened to tie foreign aid -- which is the taxpayers' money, not the government's -- to stopping the church burnings and the severe persecution and killings of Christians in Egypt. Yet on December 6, your administration did decide to publically threaten to tie American taxpayer money in the form of foreign aid to the support of gay and lesbian rights. (See related article)

You surely know, Mr. Obama, that as Christians, while we see homosexuality as the Bible sees it ... a sin, we never hate nor advocate the killing of homosexuals. That is something left to your dear 'friends' in the Muslim world; something they do to both homosexuals and Christians on a regular basis.

The White House declared that this announcement 'marked the first U.S. government strategy to combat human rights abuses against gays and lesbians abroad.' This was no great comfort to desperate and persecuted Christians worldwide.

One final question, Mr. President.

If you are a true Christian, as you claim under your breath, why do you not feel that same passion and commitment toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, who are paying for their faith with their lives?

May the Lord's hand guide you to all truth.

New Findings About 9/11

Iran has been a thorn in America's side since 1979 when the Iranians kidnapped Americans from the U.S. embassy and held them hostage for 444 days, making a fool out of Jimmy Carter and releasing the hostages moments after Reagan was inaugurated. Now, Reagan was a man who commanded respect from the enemies of America, something for which our current president could never identify.

With the new revelation that Iran was involved in the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil, everything changes. What will our weak commander-in-chief do now that we know the Iranians have committed an act of war on our homeland? Perhaps, Obama will apologize to the Iranians for alleged offenses from America against the Iranian regime.

NEW YORK - 'A federal judge has signed a default judgment finding Iran, the Taliban and al Qaeda liable in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Judge George Daniels in Manhattan signed the judgment Thursday, a week after hearing testimony in the 10-year-old case. The signed ruling, which he promised last week, came in a $100 billion lawsuit brought by family members of victims of the attacks. He directed a magistrate judge to preside over remaining issues, including fixing compensatory and punitive damages.

Daniels signed findings of fact saying the plaintiffs had established that the 2001 attacks were caused by the support the defendants provided to al Qaeda. The findings also said Iran continues to provide material support and resources to al Qaeda by providing a safe haven for al Qaeda leadership and rank-and-file al Qaeda members.

During last week's open-court hearing, family members of Sept. 11 victims sat through a four-hour presentation from attorneys who cited evidence supporting their claims that Iran actively assisted the hijackers of planes that crashed into the World Trade Center towers, at the Pentagon and into a field in Pennsylvania. Former members of the Sept. 11 Commission and three Iranian defectors also spoke.

It would be near impossible to collect any damages, especially from the Taliban or al Qaeda.

Iran has not commented on the ruling. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly denied any Iranian connection in the Sept. 11 attacks or with al Qaeda. Saudi Arabia had been knocked out of the lawsuit, but lawyers filed papers on Thursday to reinstate Saudi Arabia as a defendant.'"

"With 2011 drawing to a close, it is time to account. As an early-and-often chronicler of Chicago-on-the-Potomac, I am amazed at the stubborn and clingy persistence of President Barack Obama's snowblowers in the media. See no scandal, hear no scandal, speak no scandal.

Dartmouth College professor Brendan Nyhan asserted in May -- while Operation Fast and Furious subpoenas were flying on Capitol Hill -- that 'one of the least remarked upon aspects of the Obama presidency has been the lack of scandals.' Conveniently, he defines scandal as a 'widespread elite perception of wrongdoing.'

So as long as left-wing Ivy League scribes refuse to perceive something to be a scandal -- never mind the actual suffering endured by the family of murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, whose death came at the hands of a Mexican cartel thug wielding a Fast and Furious gun walked across the southern border under Attorney General Eric Holder's watch -- there is no scandal!

Self-serving much?

Mother Jones' Kevin Drum likewise proclaimed: 'Obama's presidency has so far been almost completely free of scandal.'

This after the year kicked off in January with the departure of lying eco-radical czar Carol Browner. In backroom negotiations, she infamously bullied auto execs to 'put nothing in writing, ever.' The previous fall, the White House's own oil spill panel had singled out Browner for misleading the public about the scientific evidence for the administration's Draconian drilling moratorium and 'contributing to the perception that the government's findings were more exact than they actually were.'

The Interior Department inspector general and federal judges likewise blasted drilling ban book-cooking by Browner and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who falsely rewrote the White House drilling ban report to doctor the Obama-appointed panel's own overwhelming scientific objections to the job-killing edict.

In February, federal judge Martin Feldman in Louisiana excoriated the Obama Interior Department for defying his May 2010 order to lift its fraudulent ban on offshore oil and gas drilling in the Gulf. He called out the administration's culture of contempt and 'determined disregard' for the law.

This spring saw rising public anger over the preferential Obamacare waiver process (which I first reported on in September 2010). Some 2,000 lucky golden ticket winners were freed from the costly federal mandates -- including a handful of fancy restaurants in Aloha Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district, the entire state of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's Nevada, and scores of local, state and national Big Labor organizations, from the Service Employees International Union and Teamsters on down. Meanwhile, as The Hill newspaper reported last month, other not-so-lucky Republican-led states seeking waivers, such as Indiana and Louisiana, were rejected.

But it wasn't just Republicans objecting to the president's arbitrary Obamacare fiats. In July, congressional Democrats turned on the monstrous federal health bureaucracy known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board. The constitutionally suspect panel -- freed from normal public notice, public comment and public review rules -- would have unprecedented authority over health care spending and an expanding jurisdiction of private health care payment rates.

Obama's health and human services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, faced separate legal questions over her overseer role in a hair-raising document-shredding case when she served as governor of Kansas. In October, a district judge in the Sunflower State suspended court proceedings in a high-profile criminal case against the abortion racketeers of Planned Parenthood. Bombshell court filings showed that Kansas health officials 'shredded documents related to felony charges the abortion giant faces' and failed to disclose it for six years.

That same month, Bloomberg News columnist Jonathan Alter gushed: 'There is zero evidence ... of corruption. Where is it?'

Alter's declaration of the 'Obama Miracle' came just weeks after the politically driven half-billion-dollar Solyndra stimulus 'investment' went bankrupt, prompting an FBI raid and ongoing criminal and congressional probes of the solar company funded by top White House bundler and visitor George Kaiser.

As Solyndra and an avalanche of other ongoing green subsidy scams erupted, so did the LightSquared debacle -- a federal broadband boondoggle involving billionaire hedge fund managers and Obama donors Philip Falcone and George Soros. In September, two high-ranking witnesses -- William Shelton, the four-star general who heads the Air Force Space Command, and National Coordination Office for Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Director Anthony Russo -- exposed how the White House had pressured them to alter their congressional testimony and play down concerns about LightSquared's interference threat to military communications.

The White House continues to block efforts to gain information about the Federal Communications Commission's approval of a special waiver for the company, even as new government tests this month showed that the company's 'signals caused harmful interference to the majority of ... general purpose GPS receivers.'

The Obama White House closed out the year with Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri demanding a probe of the smelly $443 million no-bid smallpox antiviral pill contract with Siga Technologies -- controlled by big lefty donor Ron Perelman. Then there was the small matter of massive voter fraud in Indiana, where a Democratic official resigned amid allegations that 'dozens, if not hundreds,' of signatures were faked to get Obama on the state primary ballot in 2008. And while Americans busied themselves with the holidays, White House and Democratic campaign officials were dumping more than $70,000 in contributions from another deep-pocketed contributor -- scandal-plagued pal and former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, who oversaw the collapse of MF Global.

All this -- and so much more -- yet erstwhile 'conservative' journalist Andrew Sullivan of Newsweek/The Daily Beast scoffed, 'Where are all the scandals promised by Michelle Malkin?'

There's none so blind as those who will not see."

Two days later, contradicting Haniyeh's statements, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said that Hamas leader abroad Khaled Mashaal had agreed that:

- "There will be no military resistance."
- "The permanent solution is on the '67 borders."

According to Abbas, Hamas agrees to a permanent solution on the '67 borders. However, Haniyeh said that Hamas agrees to a temporary solution on the '67 borders as a first stage only.

For many years, the PLO promoted a "stages plan" that would first create a Palestinian state on the 1949 - 1967 armistice lines, and then work from that position to destroy Israel.

Senior Fatah official Abbas Zaki recently stated that this remains the goal for Fatah as well, but that "you can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself."...'

'A Santa-suited gunman who killed six people on Christmas morning was the estranged husband of one of the victims and the father of two teenagers who died in the massacre.

Aziz Yazdanpanah, 56, showed up to his estranged wife’s apartment on Christmas morning dressed like St. Nick and opened fire shortly after the family had unwrapped presents.

Yazdanpanah then killed himself.

The six victims were identified by ABC affiliate WFAA as: Nasrin Rahmaty, 55, who was Yazdanpanah’s wife; Nona Yazdanpanah, 19, his daughter; Ali Yazdanpanah, 15, his son; Zohreh Rahmaty, 58, his sister-in-law; Hossein Zarei, 59, his brother-in-law; and Sahra Zarei, 22, his niece.'

'But a more ominous portrait emerged of Yazdanpanah in interviews with some of his daughter’s other classmates.

“She would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy,” said Lacie Reed, 18. “He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”

Friends said Nona’s father had installed cameras all around the home so he could watch the family’s comings and goings. Others said he nailed her bedroom window shut so she could not sneak out at night and see her boyfriend.

“She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,” Reed said.'

'Arab hate: A Muslim Brotherhood rally in Cairo's most prominent mosque Friday turned into a venomous anti-Israel protest, with attendants vowing to "one day kill all Jews."

Some 5,000 people joined the rally, called to promote the "battle against Jerusalem's Judaization." The event coincided with the anniversary of the United Nations' partition plan in 1947, which called for the establishment of a Jewish state.

However, most worshippers who prayed at the mosque Friday quickly left it before the Muslim Brotherhood's rally got underway. A group spokesman urged attendants to remain for the protest, asking them not to create a bad impression for the media by leaving.

'Treacherous Jews'

Speakers at the event delivered impassioned, hateful speeches against Israel, slamming the "Zionist occupiers" and the "treacherous Jews." Upon leaving the rally, worshippers were given small flags, with Egypt's flag on one side and the Palestinian flag on the other, as well as maps of Jerusalem's Old City detailing where "Zionists are aiming to change Jerusalem's Muslim character."

Propaganda material ahead of Egypt's parliamentary elections was also handed out at the site.

Spiritual leader Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb charged in his speech that to this day Jews everywhere in the world are seeking to prevent Islamic and Egyptian unity.

"In order to build Egypt, we must be one. Politics is insufficient. Faith in Allah is the basis for everything," he said. "The al-Aqsa Mosque is currently under an offensive by the Jews…we shall not allow the Zionists to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem.) We are telling Israel and Europe that we shall not allow even one stone to be moved there."

'We have different mentality'

Muslim Brotherhood spokesmen, as well as Palestinian guest speakers, made explicit calls for Jihad and for liberating the whole of Palestine. Time and again, a Koran quote vowing that "one day we shall kill all the Jews" was uttered at the site. Meanwhile, businessmen in the crowd were urged to invest funds in Jerusalem in order to prevent the acquisition of land and homes by Jews.

Throughout the event, Muslim Brotherhood activists chanted: "Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, judgment day has come."

Speaking to Ynet outside the mosque following the prayer, elementary school teacher Ala al-Din said that "all Egyptian Muslims are willing to embark on Jihad for the sake of Palestine."

"Why is the US losing in Afghanistan? Because the other side is willing and wants to die. We have a different mentality than that of the Americans and Jews," he said.'

A Pessimitic Outlook at Election 2012

We're screwed, folks. I hate to say it, but I think Obama stands a good chance of getting re-elected. He's screwed our country royally, but the candidates we have to go up against him are sadly lacking. By the time the American Pravda tears them apart, too many ignorant, ill-informed voters may decide to stick with the Marxist.

I know -- it's a terrifying thought because America will never survive another four years of Obama. Think of the damage that he's done to this nation and our freedoms when he was somewhat restrained from doing all that he wanted to do. The thought of re-election was always hanging over his head. Imagine what he will do knowing his election days are over.

Newt Gingrich is beginning to fizzle out as voters get to know him better. Ron Paul may be popular in Iowa, but he is a lunatic on foreign policy, so he'll never make it. Voters are unwilling to give Rick Perry a chance to debate against Obama because they know it would be a disaster. As to Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, both solid conservatives, they aren't gaining any traction, and Jon Huntsman is barely noticeable.

Speaking of Bachmann, I am currently reading her book, Core of Conviction. The more I read it, the more I like her. She's an awesome lady and would lead this nation as a Reagan conservative, but voters lack confidence in her.

Herman Cain, where are you when we need you? Oh, that's right, the American Pravda destroyed his reputation just as they do with any good conservative.

So, when it's all said and done, that leaves us with Mitt Romney. On paper, he looks like an excellent prospect with both his executive experience as governor of the People's Republic of Massachusetts and his free market experience rescuing failing companies. But Mitt has many weaknesses that need to be examined.

7 Reasons Why Mitt Romney's Electability Is A Myth

"Mitt Romney was a moderate governor in Massachusetts with an unimpressive record of governance. He left office with an approval rating in the thirties and his signature achievement, Romneycare, was a Hurricane Katrina style disaster for the state. Since that's the case, it's fair to ask what a Republican who's not conservative and can't even carry his own state brings to the table for GOP primary voters. The answer is always the same: Mitt Romney is supposed to be 'the most electable' candidate. This is a baffling argument because many people just seem to assume it's true, despite the plethora of evidence to the contrary.

1) People just don't like Mitt: The entire GOP primary process so far has consisted of Republican voters desperately trying to find an alternative to Mitt Romney. Doesn't it say something that GOP primary voters have, at one time or another, preferred Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, and now even Ron Paul (In Iowa) to Mitt Romney?

To some people, this is a plus. They think that if conservatives don't like Mitt Romney, that means moderates will like him. This misunderstands how the process of attracting independent voters works in a presidential race. While it's true the swayable moderates don't want to support a candidate they view as an extremist, they also don't just automatically gravitate towards the most 'moderate' candidate. To the contrary, independent voters tend to be moved by the excitement of the candidate's base (See John McCain vs. Barack Obama for an example of how this works). This is how a very conservative candidate like Ronald Reagan could win landslide victories. He avoided being labeled an extremist as Goldwater was; yet his supporters were incredibly enthusiastic and moderates responded to it.

Let's be perfectly honest: Mitt Romney excites no one except for Mormons, political consultants, and Jennifer Rubin. To everybody else on the right, Mitt Romney vs. Barack Obama would be a 'lesser of two evils' election where we'd grudgingly back Mitt because we wouldn’t lose as badly with him in the White House as we would with Obama. That's not the sort of thing that gets people fired up to make phone calls, canvass neighborhoods, or even put up 'I heart Mitt' signs in their yards.

2) He's a proven political loser: There's a reason Mitt Romney has been able to say that he's 'not a career politician.' It's because he's not very good at politics. He lost to Ted Kennedy in 1994. Although he did win the governorship of Massachusetts in 2002, he did it without cracking 50% of the vote. Worse yet, he left office as the 48th most popular governor in America and would have lost if he had run again in 2006. Then, to top that off, he failed to capture the GOP nomination in 2008. This time around, despite having almost every advantage over what many people consider to be a weak field of candidates, Romney is still desperately struggling. Choosing Romney as the GOP nominee after running up that sort of track record would be like promoting a first baseman hitting .225 in AAA to the majors.

3) Running weak in the southern states: Barack Obama won North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida in 2008 and you can be sure that he will be targeting all three of those states again. This is a problem for Romney because he would be much less likely than either Gingrich or Perry to carry any of those states. Moderate northern Republicans have consistently performed poorly in the south and Romney won't be any exception. That was certainly the case in 2008 when both McCain and Huckabee dominated Romney in primaries across the south. Mitt didn't win a single primary in a southern state and although he finished second in Florida, he wasn't even competitive in North Carolina or Virginia. Since losing any one of those states could be enough to hand the election to Obama in a close race, Mitt's weakness there is no small matter.

4) His advantages disappear in a general election: It's actually amazing that Mitt Romney isn't lapping the whole field by 50 points because he has every advantage. Mitt has been running for President longer than the other contenders. He has more money and a better organization than the other candidates. The party establishment and inside the beltway media are firmly in his corner. That's why the other nominees have been absolutely savaged while Romney, like John McCain before him, has been allowed to skate through the primaries without receiving serious scrutiny.

Yet, every one of those advantages disappears if he becomes the nominee. Suddenly Obama will be the more experienced candidate in the race for the presidency. He will also have more money and a better organization than Mitt. Moreover, in a general election, the establishment and beltway media will be aligned against Romney, not for him. Suddenly, Romney will go from getting a free pass to being public enemy #1 for the entire mainstream media.

If you took all those advantages away from Romney in the GOP primary, he'd be fighting with Jon Huntsman to stay out of last place. So, what happens when he's the nominee and suddenly, all the pillars that have barely kept him propped up in SECOND place so far are suddenly removed? It may not be pretty.

5) Bain Capital: Mitt Romney became rich working for Bain Capital. This has been a plus for Romney in the Republican primaries where the grassroots tend to be dominated by people who love capitalism and the free market. However, in a year when Obama will be running a populist campaign and Occupy Wall Street is demonizing the '1%,' Mitt Romney will be a TAILOR MADE villain for them. Did you know that Bain Capital gutted companies and made a lot of money, in part, by laying off a lot of poor and middle class Americans? Do you know that Bain Capital got a federal bailout and Mitt Romney made lots of money off of it?

“The way the company was rescued was with a federal bailout of $10 million,” the ad says. “The rest of us had to absorb the loss … Romney? He and others made $4 million in this deal. … Mitt Romney: Maybe he’s just against government when it helps working men and women.”

The facts of the Bain & Co. turnaround are a little more complicated, but a Boston Globe report from 1994 confirms that Bain saw several million dollars in loans forgiven by the FDIC, which had taken over Bain’s failed creditor, the Bank of New England.'

Did you know Ted Kennedy beat Romney in 1994 by hammering Mitt relentlessly on his time at Bain Capital? No wonder. The ads write themselves.

Imagine pictures of dilapidated, long since closed factories. They trot out scruffy looking workers talking about how bad life has been since Mitt Romney crushed their dreams and cost them their jobs. Then they show a clip of Mitt making his $10,000 bet and posing with money in his clothes. All Mitt needs is a monocle and a sniveling Waylon Smithers type character to follow him around shining his shoes to make him into the prototypical bad guy the Democrats are trying to create.

Now, the point of this isn't to say that what Mitt did at Bain Capital was dishonorable. It certainly wasn't. To the contrary, as a conservative, I find his work in the private sector to be just about the only thing he has going for him. But, people should realize that in a general election, Mitt's time at Bain Capital will probably end up being somewhere between a small asset and a large liability, depending on which side does a better job of defining it.

6) The Mormon Factor: This is a sensitive topic; so I am going to handle it much, much more gently than Hollywood and the mainstream media will if Mitt gets the nomination. Mormons do believe in Jesus Christ, the Mormon Church does a lot of good work, the ones I've met seem to be good people, and two of my best friends are Mormons. That being said, Mormons are not considered to be a mainstream Christian religion in large swathes of the country. There will be Protestants who will have deep reservations about voting a Mormon into the White House because they'll be afraid it will help promote what they believe to be a false religion. There have also been a number of polls that show that significant numbers of Americans won't vote for a Mormon as President.

Just look at a couple of the more recent polls and consider how much of an impact this issue could have in a close election.

'The poll found 67 percent of Americans want the president to be Christian and 52 percent said they consider Mormons to be Christian. Twenty-two percent of those polled said they don't think Mormons are Christians and 26 percent are unsure.

"I do believe they are moral people, but again there is a difference between being moral and being saved," Linda Dameron, an evangelical Republican in Independence, Mo., told the Tribune.

More than 40 percent of Americans would be uncomfortable with a Mormon as president, according to a new survey that also suggests that as more white evangelical voters have learned White House hopeful Mitt Romney is Mormon, the less they like him.

A survey by the Public Religion Research Institute released late Monday also shows that nearly half of white evangelical Protestant voters — a key demographic in the Republican primary race — don’t believe that Mormonism is a Christian faith, and about two-thirds of adults say the LDS faith is somewhat or very different than their own.'

You should also keep in mind that if Mitt Romney gets the nomination, Hollywood and the mainstream media will conduct a vicious, months’ long hate campaign against the Mormon Church. They will take every opportunity to make Mormons look weird, racist, kooky, scary, and different. Would this be a decisive factor? I'd like to say no, but by the time all is said and done, it's very easy to see Romney potentially losing hundreds of thousands of votes across the country because of his religion.

7) He's a flip-flopper. Maybe my memory is failing me, but didn’t George Bush beat John Kerry's brains in with the 'flip flopper' charge back in 2004? So now, just eight years later, the GOP is going to run someone that even our own side agrees is a flip-flopper right out of the gate? Romney doesn't even handle the charge well. When Brett Baier at Fox pointed out the obvious, Romney's response was to get huffy and deny that he was flip flopping, which is kind of like Lady Gaga denying that she likes to get attention. If Mitt can't even handle run-of-the-mill questions from FOX NEWS about his flip flopping, what makes anyone think he can deal with the rest of the press in a general election?

There are a lot of issues with trying to run a candidate who doesn't seem to have any core principles. It makes it impossible for his supporters to get excited about him because you can't fall in love with a weathervane. Even worse, since politicians tend to be such liars anyway and you know Romney has no firm beliefs, it's very easy for everyone to assume the worst. Democrats will feel that Romney will be a right wing death-beast. Republicans will think that Romney will screw them over. Independents won't know what to believe, which will make the hundreds of millions that Obama will spend on attack ads particularly effective. Ronald Reagan famously said the GOP needed 'a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors.' That's particularly relevant when it comes to Mitt Romney who has proven to be a pasty grey pile of formless mush."

So, that pretty much sums it up. It's difficult to win an election when a candidate's supporters are not so much voting for him as they are voting against his opponent, and that's what it will be like next fall. If you don't believe me, ask John Kerry or John McCain because that was the case for both of them.

I sure hope and prayer that the author of this article is dead-wrong, but somehow I fear he may be right in his predictions. May the Lord have mercy on America!!

Asia Bibi Speaks

In the last year, I have posted articles regarding Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi who is in prison with a death sentence hanging over her head. She has been accused of insulting the cult of Islam.

Pamela Geller has arranged an interview with this brave Christian woman.

"Asia Bibi, a Christian woman, has been sentenced to death under Pakistan's notorious blasphemy law for insulting Islam. She is now in prison. The law is often used to settle grudges, persecute minorities and fan rage of the Islamic devout.

The same thing is coming here. The recent cancellation of my event by a Houston hotel, and the subsequent cancellation of an anti-Sharia conference in Nashville represent the first stage of the application of Islamic blasphemy laws here in America. Where full-on Sharia is enforced, 'blasphemers' get the death penalty. Here in America, your character is assassinated.

As part of my work to aid those whose lives are threatened for leaving Islam, I have been in touch with Asia through a Pakistani journalist and human rights activist, the Regional Director in Islamabad of the Maishi Foundation, which works for the human rights and education of Pakistani Christians. The activist recently visited Asia Bibi in prison and asked her questions I gave him. Here are her answers:

Pamela Geller: What happened when you were arrested?

Asia Bibi: When I was arrested, I was assaulted and harassed by the police. I was in a state of shock for many days. I fasted and prayed. My family has been in trouble; they have been moving one place to another. But I have forgiven the Muslims who put me and my family in this situation.

PG: How are you being treated?

AB: I live in a confined cell. I am allowed to go out for only 30 minutes every day, and allowed to meet my family for one hour every Tuesday. I am given raw material to cook for myself, since the administration fears I might be poisoned, as other Christians accused of blasphemy were poisoned or killed in the jail. The security on my duty is polite. Last week, a few hot words were exchanged with the warden over a minute issue, and she tried to strangle me. She has been suspended.

PG: What are your expectations for the future?

AB: I pray and fast. I want to be with my family, hug my daughters, kiss them. I am waiting for a date from the Lahore High Court for the appeal regarding my death sentence. Masihi Foundation is supporting my family and has hired a lawyer for the case. A petition has been filed at the Lahore High Court asking them to accept the case for hearing. I am hopeful that I will be released, although there is a bounty of about $8,000 offered by the Islamic clerics to anyone who will kill me. I have left everything on God, I will accept His will.

PG: Do you have a message for the Christians of the U.S.?

AB: I request them to pray and do something for the Christians in Pakistan who are suffering and persecuted. There are many other Christians in jails who need help. The Christians in the U.S. can help the human rights organizations who fight for the persecuted, and become the voice of the voiceless.

PG: Is there any way Americans can help you?

AB: They can pray and ask their government and representatives to do something for the persecuted Christians.

PG: What do you think of the Pakistani blasphemy law?

AB: Blasphemy law is a manmade law. It is being misused in Pakistan to settle personal vendettas, it should be repealed or at least amended. It has claimed so many innocent lives. I have also been falsely accused.

PG: What is the general situation of Christians in Pakistan?

AB: It's not very good. The Christians specially in the villages are living the worst life. They are mistreated, abused and framed for false cases, as they cannot afford to fight for their rights. The NGOs need support to help them; they are denied government jobs and not given respect. Only 10% of the Christians are able to get good jobs and are settled only because they are educated. The odd jobs in the country are reserved only for the Christians.

Pamela Geller also talked with Asia's daughters. Her daughter Alishba said, 'We are praying and fasting for our mother so that she can be with us. I visit her with my father and each time I meet her, I can't stop myself, and tears pour out. My mother tries to hold my hand through the gaps between the grilled window and says, "Have faith in the Lord, He will bring me home one day." Every time I hear these words, I cry to the Lord to bring back my mother so that we can be with her again.'

Asia's youngest daughter said: 'It has been months since I last saw my mother. I am scared. I just see her pictures and can't control my tears. I fear that I will not be able to see my mother in the condition she is in. As I have the pleasant memories of her when she was with us, I cannot even imagine what she is going through. There are times I even lose all the hope of seeing her ever again, so I want to keep the memories of her smiling and playing with us. If she comes back to us, I will forget this whole thing as a bad dream.'

If only it were."

Asia has given us our marching orders. It's time that we put pressure on our representatives to help the persecuted believers in Christ.

The GOP's Anti-Semite

Who would have thought that the GOP has a presidential candidate who hates Israel as much as Barack Hussein Obama? Is that possible? It sure seems so.

Ron Paul may be excellent on controlling the wasteful spending in DC, but he is dangerous on foreign policy.

Think about that for a minute. Paul 'sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs.' How does Ron Paul think that should be accomplished?

The 'Palestinian' jihadists clearly want to kill all the Jews in Israel; they say so again and again on Palestinian Authority TV. They teach this poison to their children. Islamic Jew-hatred is in the quran. If Israel were turned over to the Palestinians, the jihadi savages would indulge in an orgy of Jewish blood on a scale the world hasn't seen since the Holocaust.

Is Paul ok with that? Is that the way he envisions bringing 'peace' to the Middle East if he becomes president (G-d forbid)?

And look at how he berated and yelled at the Houston Jewish Young Republicans. He obviously feels very, very strongly about this: his hatred for Israel is very important to him.

Paul's position on Hitler only confirms his antisemitism. The U.S. shouldn't have fought Hitler to save the Jews? Paul here again seems to be just fine with genocide of the Jews. And notice here again: he repeated this to Dondero 'countless times.'

Paul also sides with Iran in its annihilationist aspirations for a nuclear weapon.

This man must never, ever become president of the United States.

...Is Ron Paul an Anti-Semite? Absolutely No. As a Jew, (half on my mother’s side), I can categorically say that I never heard anything out of his mouth, in hundreds of speeches I listened too over the years, or in my personal presence that could be called, “Anti-Semite.” No slurs. No derogatory remarks.

He is however, most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general. He wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all. He expressed this to me numerous times in our private conversations. His view is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer. He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs.

Again, American Jews, Ron Paul has no problem with. In fact, there were a few Jews in our congressional district, and Ron befriended them with the specific intent of winning their support for our campaign. (One synagogue in Victoria, and tiny one in Wharton headed by a well-known Jewish lawyer).

On the incident that’s being talked about in some blog media about the campaign manager directing me to a press conference of our opponent Lefty Morris in Victoria to push back on Anti-Jewish charges from the Morris campaign, yes, that did happen. The Victoria Advocate described the press conference very accurately. Yes, I was asked (not forced), to attend the conference dressed in a Jewish yarlmuke, and other Jewish adornments.

There was another incident when Ron finally agreed to a meeting with Houston Jewish Young Republicans at the Freeport office. He berated them, and even shouted at one point, over their un-flinching support for Israel. So, much so, that the 6 of them walked out of the office. I was left chasing them down the hallway apologizing for my boss....

Ron Paul is most assuredly an isolationist. He denies this charge vociferously. But I can tell you straight out, I had countless arguments/discussions with him over his personal views. For example, he strenuously does not believe the United States had any business getting involved in fighting Hitler in WWII. He expressed to me countless times, that “saving the Jews,” was absolutely none of our business. When pressed, he often times brings up conspiracy theories like FDR knew about the attacks of Pearl Harbor weeks before hand, or that WWII was just “blowback,” for Woodrow Wilson’s foreign policy errors, and such.

I would challenge him, like for example, what about the instances of German U-boats attacking U.S. ships, or even landing on the coast of North Carolina or Long Island, NY. He’d finally concede that that and only that was reason enough to counter-attack against the Nazis, not any humanitarian causes like preventing the Holocaust.'"

Obama's Contempt for the Law

The American Pravda was quick to attack Bush when they thought he was grabbing too much power, and rightfully so, but they are strangely quiet when their president is sitting in the Oval Office ignoring the Constitution which he is thoroughly familiar with because he taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago.

The arrogant president also said the following in 2007: "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution."

Oh really, Mr. President. Then, how do you explain your current behavior?

"Before jetting off to his $4 million vacay in Hawaii, President Obama signed into law the 2012 omnibus funding bill....along with a signing statement that pretty much said he's only going to abide by the parts he likes and ignore over 20 policy riders passed by Congress, including riders on gun control, Guantamano, and keeping the President's 'czars' from being employed by the White House. He also objected to Defense provisions in the bill that limit the president's ability to put troops under foreign command and require 30 days advance notice to Congress for any use of the military which would involve more than $100,000 in construction costs.

This president has made extensive use of such signing statements, and they're scary because they point to another characteristic of the Obama Administration - its contempt for law when it gets in the way of the almighty agenda.

I can here the Obamabots churning over this from here and screaming 'Bush did it too', the typical reply ten-year-olds use on the playground when caught in some misdeed.

That's your standard, the conduct of a president you hated? That makes it OK?

President Bush indeed 'did it too', and the fact that he did it far less egregiously and often than President Obama doesn't excuse it - any more than it excuses President Obama.

And keep in mind that things change. What President Obama is getting away with today sets precedent of what a different president can get away with tomorrow. And you just might not like the results."

Obama Throws Christians Under the Bus

One thing is for sure when you examine those of the Islamic faith. They are filled to overflowing with hatred. Muslims hate each other, as in the case of Sunni and Shia. They hate Christians, and most of all they hate Jews.

Keep in mind that not ALL Muslims fall into these categories, but far too many do.

What's that we are constantly being told? Oh yeah, "Islam is a 'religion of peace'." Let's see -- are Muslims at peace with one another? NO. Are they at peace with Christians and Jews? An emphatic "NO". Then, for whom exactly are they at peace? Would someone please tell me?

2012 Promises to be an Especially Difficult Year for Israel

"Muslim persecution of Christians is a growing problem in the Middle East:

'When the major media reported a few months ago that Iranian Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani was set to be executed for leaving Islam, many Western people were shocked, finding it hard to believe that in the 21st century people are still being persecuted -- by their governments no less -- simply for being Christian.

The fact is, Muslim persecution of Christians in the modern era has been consistently growing worse. Yet, because only one out of every few hundred or so cases ever receives major attention, few in the West have any idea that it exists.'

The problem is so disconcerting that Christian Solidarity International has started a petition drive hoping to force President Obama to raise the issue at the global level:

'We urge you, Mr. President, to present during the forthcoming State of the Union Address your administration's policy to prevent the eradication of the endangered Christian communities and other religious minorities of the Islamic Middle East.'

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has voiced his concern already:

'We cannot accept and thereby facilitate what looks more and more like a particularly perverse program of religious cleansing in the Middle East.'

To date, President Obama has not seen fit to inject himself and his office into the debate. His reluctance to speak publically about Muslim persecution of any sort is probably motivated by his desire to create an America that is tolerant of Islam. In the process, he has thrown Christians under the bus:

'Christians in the Middle East and other parts of the world encounter an Obama administration that seems utterly indifferent to their fate. One of the most important but mostly neglected stories in recent years is the severe persecution of Christians in the Middle East and other parts of the world. Words such as "religious cleansing," "mass murder" and "authentic martyrdom" have been used by those who know the situation best to describe this persecution.'

As appalling as Muslim persecution of Christians is, Muslims of different persuasions hate each other even more than they hate Christians. From Thailand to Pakistan to Egypt, sectarian violence is erupting into conflicts that border on civil war. This problem is especially prevalent today in Iraq, and with the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, it is a growing concern. On Friday, thousands of Iraqi Sunni Muslims took to the streets to protest against Shi'ite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki:

'Friday's protests took place a day after at least 69 people were killed in a wave of bombings across Baghdad. The demonstrations have also come on the heels of a growing political crisis involving Mr. Maliki and Sunni Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi.'

The situation in Iraq is rapidly spinning out of control with Maliki and al-Hashemi accusing each other of stirring up sectarian trouble for political purposes:

'The Sunni vice president wanted for allegedly running a hit squad in Iraq on Friday accused Shiite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of waging a campaign against Sunnis and pushing the country toward sectarian war.'

Peter Wehner writing for Commentary calls what's happening in Iraq a 'March Backwards Into the Sun':

'Yesterday, a barrage of at least 15 bombs were set off in Baghdad, which according to press reports rocked almost every major neighborhood in the Iraqi capital. Dozens of people were killed. We're seeing a dramatic resurgence of sectarian and ethnic divisions.'

Concerning Iraq, The Economist went so far as say,

'[T]he American neo-con dream of a post-Saddam Iraq spreading democracy throughout the Middle East was always a delusional fantasy. The risk, now that there is no American presence to hold the ring, is that Iraq will fall into sectarian chaos (just as neighbouring Syria may). That in turn will strengthen the argument that in the absence of a Saddam-like strongman Iraq, with its Sunni and Shia Arabs and Sunni Kurds, can never be a coherent state and must, at best, become a loose federation.'

Although the Arab Spring began as a movement for liberalism and human rights, it has morphed into sectarian strife throughout the Middle East and North Africa:

'Many pundits and government officials have praised the "Arab Spring" as a prelude to the rise of a new and more democratic Middle East. But it is difficult to reconcile this notion with the images of growing intersectarian violence within the region, such as the recent anti-Shiite attacks perpetrated in the course of the celebration of the Shiite Ashura festival on December 5 and 6. The event, a traditional catalyst for intersectarian violence, served as a powerful reminder that identity politics continue to play a major role in the region.

Indeed, these Arab uprisings, while fueled by widespread desires for more freedom at the grassroots level, demonstrate that preexisting religious identities were never abandoned in favor of new national ones and that Middle Eastern politics are still very much based on group affiliation and identity politics.'

As 2011 draws to a close, 2012 promises to be the year of sectarian strife in the Middle East, and no one knows for sure what it portends. This much is certain, though: when Arab Muslim political leaders are confronted with internal difficulties, they unite by blaming the Jews. Israel is a bastion of freedom and democracy in the Middle East, and she is a ready target for Muslims of every persuasion because they hate Israel more than they hate each other.

Therefore, 2012 promises to be an especially difficult year for Israel."

"Iran stands ready to expand its military and security ties with Iraq, its armed forces chief of staff said Sunday, a week after the exit of US forces from the neighbouring Arab country.

General Hassan Firouzabadi hailed the 'forced departure' of the US and allied forces that he said 'was due to the resistance and determination of the Iraqi people and government,' the state Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

The statements were made in messages Firouzabadi sent to his Iraqi counterpart, Lieutenant General Babaker Zebari, and to Iraq’s acting defence minister, Saadun al-Dulaimi, IRNA said.

The departure of the US troops 'was due to the resistance and determination of the Iraqi people and government,' he said.

'I hope the humiliating failure of the United States after nine years of occupying Iraq will serve as a lesson for them to never think of attacking another country,' he said.

Firouzabadi added that Iran was now 'ready to expand its military and security ties with Iraq.'

Zebari led a delegation of Iraqi military chiefs to Iran last month to explore greater cooperation between the two defence forces.

US analysts have expressed concern that Iran could exploit the vacuum left by the US withdrawal to bolster links with Iraq’s Shiite-led government.

The United States frequently accused Iran of arming Iraqi militias that attacked US forces when they were deployed there.

US President Barack Obama said on December 14 that, while the situation left behind in Iraq was not perfect, 'we are leaving behind a sovereign, stable, and self-reliant Iraq.'

"Iran’s navy has started a 10-day drill in international waters near the strategic oil route that passes through the Strait of Hormuz.

The exercises, dubbed 'Velayat 90', could bring Iranian ships into proximity with United States Navy vessels in the area. 'Velayat' is a Persian word for 'supremacy' and it is currently used as a title of deference for the Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

(CNN) -- Iran's Navy ordered a helicopter from an unspecified foreign country to leave to leave the area of maneuvers it is conducting in the Persian Gulf, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported Monday.

The war games cover a 2,000km stretch of sea off the Strait of Hormuz, northern parts of the Indian Ocean and into the Gulf of Aden, near the entrance to the Red Sea, state television reported.

The drill will be Iran’s latest show of strength in the face of mounting international criticism over its controversial nuclear programme, which the West fears is aimed at developing atomic weapons. Tehran denies those charges, insisting the program is for peaceful purposes only.

Adm Habibollah Sayyari, the navy chief, said Iran is holding the drill to show off its prowess and defense capabilities.

'To show off its might, the navy needs to be present in international waters. It’s necessary to demonstrate the navy’s defense capabilities,' state TV quoted Sayyari as saying.

Sayyari said submarines, surface-to-sea missile systems, missile-launching vessels, torpedoes and drones will be employed in the maneuvers.

Strategic waterway

The Strait of Hormuz is of strategic significance as the passageway for about a third of the world’s oil tanker traffic. Beyond it lie vast bodies of water, including the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The US Navy’s Bahrain-based Fifth Fleet is also active in the area, as are warships of several other countries that patrol for pirates there.

Iran regularly holds war games and has also been active in fighting piracy. Both the US and Israel have not ruled out a military option against Iran over its nuclear program.

Iranian hard-liners have come out with occasional threats that Tehran would seal off the key waterway if the US or Israel moved against the country’s nuclear facilities.

Iranian authorities have given no indication the strait will be closed during the exercise, and it has not been shut during previous drills.

Have you noticed the rising price of electricity? My family and I have a huge stack of firewood and are heating our home with it. We have only turned our heat pump on for fifteen-minute intervals a handful of times to take the chill out of our house. Nevertheless, our electricity bill still hovers around $300 a month. Sad to say, it ain't gonna get any better, thanks to Barack Obama.

A Promise Kept

"Barack Hussein Obama-Soetoro is a sociopathic liar. He says what he thinks his audience on a given day wants to hear, promising the sun and the moon. The next day, he will say the total opposite, if that’s what the new audience wants. He’s not a flip-flopper, he’s a compulsive liar. However, there is one promise he made, back during the 2008 campaign, that it appears he’s not going back on and is actually going to keep. Unfortunately for the American people, it’s a promise that will cost us dearly, and possible destroy us as a viable economic nation.

In an interview on November 2, 2008, Obama-Soetoro outlined his plan to impose the so-called cap-and-trade system, a plan devised by radical inventors of man-made global warming, that he said would bankrupt the coal and coal-fired energy industry by imposing hugely expensive environmental restrictions on them. As it turned out, the American people, led by the Tea Parties, pressured Congress to kill this bald-faced attempt to wreck the economy.

Not to be deterred though, by the wishes of the people they are supposed to serve, the Marxists and neo-fascists in the Obama-Soetoro administration have made it clear that they intend to ignore the Constitution, end-run Congress, and impose their job-killing, economy-destroying agenda on America, whether Americans like it or not. And they have chosen the EPA – the unconstitutional Environmental Protection Agency – as the vehicle to do this.

The most recent among many draconian outrages imposed by the rogue EPA are a set of regulations called MACT – Maximum Achievable Control Technology. They are Barack Hussein Obama-Soetoro’s green and red Christmas gift to the nation. It is estimated they will result in the closing of some 60 coal-fired power plants, huge rises in the cost of electricity, and the direct destruction of at least 3000 jobs. The ripple effect from this, though, is likely to be tens of thousands of lost jobs and the human misery caused by this, and billions in economic losses. Merry Christmas, America!

These regulations require that power plants eliminate 90 percent of their emissions of mercury. However, power plant emissions of mercury, reduced over the years by energy producers, amount to a mere 0.5 percent of the mercury in the atmosphere. Most atmospheric mercury occurs naturally or is produced by industry in Communist China. The simple truth is that this regulation will have virtually no effect on the environment, but will indeed, as promised by Barack Hussein Obama-Soetoro, bankrupt the coal and coal-fired electricity production industries.

As usual, the 'science' involved is questionable, at best, and flat-out phony, if one prefers not to sugar-coat. All of the environmental 'crises' since the 1960s have been manufactured by the radical left. They have been based on lies and faked, twisted, and made-up data. America’s environment, outside the Democrat controlled urban areas, is one of the cleanest in the world. Over 90 percent of the country is farmland or forest or undeveloped open space. I repeat: There is NO environmental crisis.

The EPA has a long history of draconian over-regulation. Nowhere in the Constitution is such an agency, with power to control the use by Americans of their private land, authorized in any way, shape, or form. Yet it’s allowed to continue its destructive rampages, generally unchecked and unimpeded by Congress, and in spite of horror stories galore. The EPA needs to be defunded, immediately, and then shut down and dismantled as quickly as is possible.

As has become the norm of late, this situation is not just the result of an out-of-control executive branch running wild, but of the failure of Congress to do their Constitutionally mandated duty to rein them in. It cannot be emphasized enough, repeated too many times: We need to clean out Congress in 2012, replacing the corrupt, spineless parasites infesting both houses with honest and honorable men and women who will adhere to the Constitution – the supreme law of the land. We need to elect public servants who will commit to shutting down unconstitutional, and therefore illegal, agencies and departments such as the EPA, the Department of Education, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, et cetera, et cetera, ad nauseam.

Not only would this restore sanity to government, it would eliminate most of the spending that has allowed Democrats and RINO establishment Republicans to force Americans into debt to the tune of over $15,000,000,000,000 dollars. It would also eliminate the massive economic burden of regulations whose sole purpose is to give government control over private property and business, and justify an ever-expanding, increasingly opulent bureaucracy."

"God 'Ain't' Done with Herman Cain"

I gotta admit that I'm still grieving over the loss of Herman Cain from the GOP race because I am still convinced that he is innocent of all sexually-related charges. Each day I pray Psalm 37:1-2 regarding his false accusers and those funding them because I want justice for a good, honorable man whose reputation has been soiled.

America is the loser for Cain leaving the race. Now, we are stuck with big government Republicans like Romney and Gingrich.

I heard Cain interviewed and he said that he stepped down because the scandal was ripping at the heart of his wife. But, we have not seen the last of Herman Cain.

"I would not blame Herman Cain if he said, Lloyd, I know you mean well, brother. However, the relentless vitriolic media attacks against me have finally subsided since I dropped out of the presidential race. My family and I are finally having some peace. So why on earth would you bring up my name again?

Well, in a nutshell, I just did not like the way the whole 'Cain thing' went down. Also, we live in a fast-paced news cycle, 'carelessly nuke a person's life and in two days everyone has moved on,' disposable world. Herman Cain's courageous bid to serve his country deserves more than 'Cain...wasn't he the black dude sex fanatic who ran for president as a Republican?'

OK, Cain is gone, and we conservatives must focus on selecting our candidate to defeat Obama in 2012. I got it. But it breaks my heart, seeing what happened to this 'good man.' Cain was attacked from both sides of the aisle. A few conservative pundits even accused Cain of not seriously seeking the Oval Office, but instead simply seeking self-promotion.

Please do not get me wrong. I realize that playing with the big boys in the national arena is tough. I just did not realize how much tougher and how blatantly unfair it is for conservatives. As a conservative seeking to win the Republican presidential nomination, Cain endured a deep rectal vetting not required even of our current president. As a matter of fact, we still know very little about Obama's history.

Obama is a liberal. Thus, the liberal media deems probing Obama's history and associations, and even using his middle name, to be racist.

As a black conservative myself, I was excited about black America meeting Herman Cain -- a brilliant black businessman who loves God and country. Cain's message was a breath of fresh air, a striking contrast to the absurd victim- and entitlement-minded garbage coming out of the mouths of too many successful rich blacks who say, Yes, we are multimillionaires, but America is still racist, sucks, and owes us.

Unfortunately, here is how this great black role model was introduced to much of black America. My 84-year-old dad phoned me: 'Do you know this Herman McCain who is involved in all these sex scandals?' I replied, 'His name is Herman Cain, dad.' I then proceeded to tell my dad about the great man I know.

Think about this, folks: Cain's candidacy and reputation, in the minds of many, was destroyed by unproven 'he said, she said' allegations. Please do not come back at me arguing about whether or not Cain was qualified for the office. I am not talking about that. I am talking about the no-holds-barred, nothing-is-off-limits, over-the-top, relentless campaign to destroy this decent man.

Good Lord -- the allegations went from 'possible' sexual gestures to Cain supposedly forcibly reaching under a woman's skirt. Since Cain has dropped out of the race, all of his accusers have vanished. Imagine that.

Something has gone terribly wrong in our country, folks. Meanwhile, the mainstream liberal media are deaf, dumb, and blind regarding all of the huge elephants in America's living room unfavorable to Obama. Why? Because Obama is their rare Teflon ticket to making all of their progressive, anti-America, and socialistic dreams come true.

While I 'feel' for brother Cain, I am fully confident that Herman Cain will be OK. Remember, Cain beat cancer. Using his faith, character, and infectious optimism, Cain will find a way to make extraordinary lemonade using the left's lemons (their evil attacks against him).

Wow -- I may have just come up with a brilliant capitalistic...er, sorry Occupiers...entrepreneurial marketing idea. Famous Amos sells his cookies, Rush Limbaugh sells his tea -- how about Herman Cain Lemonade?

Brother Cain, I just want to say one more time how much millions of us truly appreciated and thank you for stepping up to save our great country. You led the pack for a reason: your business sense, optimism, character, and love for America. You and your family remain in our prayers.

Another reason why I know Cain will be OK is because the Bible, referring to Christians, says that '[n]o weapon formed against us shall prosper.'

I am sure that the left, Obama administration, and the liberal media were dancing to the classic Martha Reeves and the Vandellas hit song, 'Dancing in the Street,' the day Cain withdrew from the race. But mark my words: God 'ain't' done with Herman Cain. Not only will his extraordinary life and story continue to positively impact millions, but his success will reach unprecedented levels.

'I was born in a very typical Sunni Muslim household, not very conservative like the Arabs, but nevertheless religious enough. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan to a very respectable Mohajjir family (mohajjirs are immigrants from India from the time of the partition in 1947). I moved to another Muslim country with my parents when I was just 10 years old and still live there.

I really wish there were a way I could freely live in a free society where I could follow the religion that I want without any compulsion. So far, I am not really sure what I am. I just know that I am not an atheist, because I do believe in a God, but that God cannot be the Allah of Mohammed. God is kind and merciful, not evil, cruel, mean and sadistic, as is Allah.

Have you ever read the Quran in English? I never did, I mean all my life I just recited the Quran in Arabic without understanding a single word until August of this year, when I purchased a copy of the English Quran and read the translation for the first time. Previously I had read some parts of it in English, but never the whole thing. But this year in August I read it from cover to cover, and then also read other references on the internet. Then I finally reached the conclusion that this book is the most evil thing on the face of this earth. It teaches nothing else except hatred and violence. I can no longer be a part of a cult which subjugates its followers, making them mere blind puppets with no mind of their own.

During the course of last four months, I have done nothing else but read, read and read. I spend hours a day reading Ali Sina and watching videos of David Wood and others who are trying their best to expose Islam to the world. I read 23 Years by Ali Dashti. The best among them all is Ali Sina's Understanding Muhammad and of course Robert Spencer’s The Truth About Muhammad. These kind of books are banned here, but I managed to find Robert’s book on Ibook, so I purchased it and just finished reading it yesterday.

I don't know how to go about it. I mean, I want to remain anonymous, but at the same time I need help. I don't want to be killed just because I am brave enough to tell the truth. I am really in a terrible jam. I do not want to lose my life just because I do not believe in that evil religion anymore.

Last Sunday I went to the church here and attended the mass. Then I went to see the priest and asked him for help. "Now that President Obama has finished his labors on our behalf, it's time for yet another vacay.

This 17 day idyll is estimated to cost the American tax payer a cool $4 million plus, over $235,000 per day. Ain't no recession here, bubba!

First let's start with the travel expenses:

'The biggest expense is President Barack Obama’s round trip flight to Hawaii via Air Force One, a cost the GAO office estimated at $1 million in the year 2000. Contacted today, the GAO confirmed there is no report the independent office affiliated with Congress has prepared since 2000 to operate Air Force One and Air Force Two.

However, the U.S. Air Force provides the most current numbers of $181,757 per flight hour. Travel time for Air Force One direct from Washington D.C. to Hawaii is about 9 hours or $1,635,813 each way for a total of $3,271,622 for the round trip to Hawaii and back.

The cost for USAF C-17 cargo aircraft that transports the Presidential limos, helicopters and other support equipment to Hawaii was not made available. However, the flight time between Andrews Air Force Base and Hawaii is at about 21.5 hours roundtrip, with estimated operating cost of $12,000 per hour. (Source: GAO report, updated by C-17 crew member). The United States Marine Corps provides a presidential helicopter, along with pilots and support crews for the test flights, which travel on another C-17 flight. That is $258,000, not including costs for the 4 to 6 member crew's per diem and hotel.

Mrs. Obama’s early flight to Hawaii costs about $63,000 (White House Dossier), but add security and personnel for a total of about $100,000.'

These numbers also don't account for the food and drink bill en route, especially when it comes to Michele Obama's assorted staffers and hangers on.

Now, when the Obamas reach Hawaii, they're going to be paying their own rental for a house nearer to the beach rather than using the Winter White House. Unfortunately, since the Kailua rentals are fronted by the ocean and backed by a canal, not only are the taxpayers footing the bill for housing a larger than usual Secret Service detail,but the cost of housing U.S. Coast Guard and Navy Seals in beach front and canal front homes in Kailua, as well as the cost of maintaining ships off shore.

Rentals in pricy Kailua are calculated at a cost about $1,200 per day ( figured at a cost of $200 per bedroom per day,which I think is frankly low). 18 days ( since security arrives a day early) comes to $151,200.

Now, the President’s staff and White House Press Corps ( don't ask me why they're along) are staying at the Moana Surfrider a world famous five star hotel overlooking the beach in Waikiki.

Rooms usually start at a base rate of $250 to $450 per night, and are even higher during the holidays. There's a special government rate of $177 per night,but the Surfrider's normal policy is that it's not available during the holidays, which are peak time.

But let's make this a gimmee, as President Obama's golf budies would say and calculate this at that rate. That would mean the taxpayers are footing the bill for over $72,216 in hotel bills for an estimated 24 staff. If it isn't at the government rate, we're talking better than double that figure.

Also, tourist mecca that it is, Hawaii charges a 9.25 percent Transient Accommodation Tax and a 4.712 percent General Excise Tax - $10,082.80 if we're talking government rates, more like just over $20,000 if we're not. Add in taxes and charges for meals, internet use, and other et ceteras,( figure an average of $75 per day, again a lowball estimate) and we're probably talking about more like between $150,00 and $185,000.

None of this includes food and beverages for the president's party and their guests while they're on vacay, car rentals, the cost of installing extra phone lines, bullet proof glass and other and security precautions in private residences and then restoring them to their original condition, greens fees, and all the other little extras that crop up when you're on vacation.

At least a bit over $4,000,000...and probably more. And this at a time when a lot of Americans are struggling to get by and just pay their bills. Yes, President Obama is definitely out there fighting for the middle class!

Hawaii is beautiful this time of year I'm told. Especially if someone else is footing the bill.

In fairness to the president, there's a Daily Mail story out there based on a National Inquirer piece saying that the president tried to talk Mooch-elle into a local holiday at the presidential retreat at Camp David, which is not exactly one of the slum properties then State Senator Obama got funded out of public money and had his old pal Tony Rezco build back in Chicago.

But the First Lady apparently got in his face and told him no way, no how.

This actually has the ring of truth, seeing as the president probably would have preferred to keep things more low key with elections coming up. And based on her previous performances, I can well believe that Mooch-elle simply was not to be denied. It's obvious who wears the pants in that particular family."

But, when the same case can be made for the scarcity of black at OWS, the media is suddenly "mum" on the matter, even though there were far more blacks at the Tea Party rallies than at OWS.

The media is a disgrace to its profession. We are not hearing "all the news all the time". We are instead receiving the leftwing agenda which they propagate to further their Marxist/socialist plans for our nation. Oh, that average Americans would wake up to this fact.

"As 'Person of the Year,' TIME magazine named 'The Protester.' The subhead read, 'From the Arab Spring to Athens, From Occupy Wall Street to Moscow.'

Well, yes, but what about the lack of American black protesters? Where is the racial diversity/inclusion/proportional representation?

Back in the day, the tea party's alleged lack of black participants was beyond worrisome to the media. The lack of black faces in the crowd allowed the major media to describe the tea party as racially exclusionary, if not ... racist!

'Some of them in Congress right now with this tea party movement,' said Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., 'would love to see you and me ... hanging on a tree.' Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. said tea partiers can 'go straight to hell.' A New York Times op-ed described tea partiers as 'overwhelmingly white, but even compared to other white Republicans, they had a low regard for immigrants and blacks long before Barack Obama was president, and they still do.'

So the formula is set: Lack of blacks plus 'overwhelmingly white' equals racism. Right? Not so fast.

This formula does not apply to the Occupy Wall Street movement, which is as white as an Idaho picket fence. A Washington Post opinion piece cites a survey that found 'African Americans, who are 12.6 percent of the U.S. population, make up only 1.6 percent of Occupy Wall Street.' And blacks are 25 percent of New York City's population. Occupy Wall Street was a home game for them. By contrast, six percent of tea party supporters, according to an April 2010 Gallup poll, are black. That's almost four times the number of blacks who make up Occupy Wall Street.

Why so few blacks in the Occupy movement?

A Washington Post opinion piece offered one reason -- black resignation: 'Perhaps black America's absence is sending a message to the Occupiers: "We told you so! Nothing will change. We've been here already. It's hopeless."'

But blacks view the economy differently -- and a lot more optimistically -- than do whites.

Despite around 16-percent unemployment, as compared to the 8.6-percent national rate, and nearly 50-percent black teenage unemployment, blacks feel better about the economy than do whites. A February 2011 Washington Post survey found that 24 percent of blacks were 'very' or 'somewhat satisfied' with the economy, compared to 12 percent of whites. A recent NBC poll found that by a lopsided 73 percent to 19 percent, most Americans considered the country on the 'wrong track.' But not blacks. Forty-nine percent of blacks think the country is 'headed in the right direction' versus 38 percent who do not.

Then there's the President Barack Obama factor. For some blacks, joining the Occupy protests would be an admission that Obama has failed to deliver on his promises to make things better, to squash special interests, to diminish the influence of lobbyists, etc. It's not hard for a black Obama lefty (redundancy intentional) to rationalize: 'I thought a black president would make a real, actual, touchable difference in my life. He has not. But he's trying. He inherited a mess that those awful Republicans left him. So, he deserves re-election.' How else to explain that while 57 percent of Americans disapprove of Obama's handling of the economy, 86 percent of blacks approve?

The real reason for the lack of black participation, or lack of participation by anyone else in the Occupy movement, should be simple: a complete rejection of its sole unifying theme, which seems to be 'give me some of what "they" have.'

The real reason to reject the Occupy movement is that complaining about 'inequality' without regard to how the haves became the haves is a time-waster. Those in the top earning demographic have some things in common: They are more likely than the non-top-20-percenters to have at least a college degree; are married; work long hours; and did not inherit, marry, steal or win their wealth.

The problem is blacks reject the Occupy movement, but not the party whose values reflect its unifying 'victicrat' theme. Yet Democrats and the Occupy movement share a common philosophy. Obama said to the Occupiers, 'You're the reason I ran for office.'

Both believe in empowering government to address 'inequality' by redistributing wealth. Both believe that those who achieve great wealth do so through exploitation, which justifies the claim others make on the money.

The economy of the early '80s saw higher inflation, interest rates and unemployment than during the so-called Great Recession. But unlike Obama, President Ronald Reagan deeply and broadly cut taxes, continued deregulation and slowed down the rate of domestic spending. The result? Black adult and teen unemployment fell dramatically, much faster than it did for white adults and teens.

The real question is not why so few blacks belong to the Occupy movement. The real question is why so many blacks still belong to the Democratic Party."

Opponents of Obama have questioned why he permitted the Iranians to get their hands on an American drone without destroying it. Classified military information is now in the hands of Ahmadinejad and his radical mullahs. That ought to send a shiver down your spine.

But, what has not been mentioned before is how this military information could be used against Israel. Now, would Barack Hussein Obama intentionally not order the destruction of the drone so as to jeopardize the security of Israel? What a foolish question? Of course, he would.

Obama's Stealth Betrayal of Israel?

"On December 8, 2011, Iran displayed to the world what they claimed was an American RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone captured by Iranian forces. The story of how it was captured, as told by Iran, seems fanciful. The story told by U.S. officials is not much better. Questions about the loss are many. How could this happen? Was it equipment failure? Operator error? Old-fashioned incompetence? Did Obama wimp out, or was it a purposeful surrender of advanced U.S. technology and intelligence data?

Iran claims that it hijacked the drone by confusing its GPS coordinates and instructing it to land safely inside Iranian territory. UAVs like the RQ-170 Sentinel are constructed with classified materials and covered with advanced stealth coatings. The B-2 Bomber has a 172-foot wingspan and a radar cross-section about the size of a dragonfly or hummingbird. The Sentinel is estimated to be less than half the size of the B-2. Finding it -- much less controlling its encrypted GPS systems -- would be an ambitious task for any hi-tech nation. Much less Iran.

Yet Iran does have it -- and all the secrets it contains. Most likely, targeting data and reconnaissance intel regarding Iran's nuclear and military facilities. Information desperately needed by Israel. And information that the Iranians now have.

President Barack Obama was presented with three options to make sure that the Sentinel did not fall into Iranian hands. Strangely, he rejected all three.

So says former Secretary of Defense and Vice President Dick Cheney. According to Cheney, Obama could have ordered an air strike on the drone or had it recovered/destroyed by ground forces. What Cheney didn't say is that U.S. drones, like many classified military systems, contain self-destruct mechanisms that can be remotely activated. Obama's decision? Do nothing.

It's no secret that Barack Obama is, at best, a reluctant ally of Israel. His personal animosity toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is well-known and was famously observed, both in a weird presidential photo op and, most recently, in a hot mic incident with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Obama's policies and behavior toward Israel have raised concern in the Jewish community, prompting Obama to shore up the Jewish vote by pledging continued U.S. support for Israel. According to Obama, '[n]o U.S. administration has done more in support of Israel's security than ours. None. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It is a fact[.]'

But the record is clear. The world has watched as the 'Arab Spring' has erupted throughout North Africa and the Middle East. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Turkey are all seeing the rise and influence of Islamist movements. The Obama administration supports these as democratic uprisings. In truth, we are witnessing the rise of tyranny by popular vote. Sharia law. Theocratic rule under the unforgiving hand of Muslim fundamentalists. As political Islam marches on, Israel is becoming increasingly isolated. And vulnerable.

Iran's leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, vows to wipe Israel off the map. He denies the Holocaust. And is a fervent believer in the Muslim end-times prophecy of the 12th Imam. The Islamic messiah who will usher in a new era of worldwide Muslim rule. Ahmadinejad believes that global chaos will hasten the coming of the Imam. So Iran has no incentive for peace. No inclination to recognize Israel. On the contrary, Iran believes that it has a religious duty to wage war against the Great Satan (the U.S.) and the Little Satan (Israel). Whether that comes as a ballistic missile fired at Tel Aviv, an electromagnetic pulse weapon that destroys U.S. infrastructure, terrorists armed with dirty bombs, or detonation of a 25-megaton city-killer in NY, LA, or Chicago. Once acquired, Iran will use its nuclear weapon(s).

The world cannot allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. With its very existence threatened and no viable diplomatic course of action, it appears that Israel will have to act to destroy Iran's nuclear capability. To do so, Israel needs logistical and intelligence support from the U.S. and permission to cross Iraqi airspace.

Barack Obama, with declining poll numbers and facing a tough re-election fight in 2012, cannot afford to lose Jewish voters. Americans overwhelmingly stand with the nation of Israel. Obama has to be seen supporting the Jewish state, at least on the surface.

Stories have leaked through British government officials that Israel may attack Iran as early as Christmas. The U.S. may provide logistical support. As of December 7, the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group has joined the U.S. Fifth Fleet in theatre along with the amphibious assault ship Bataan. In Iraq, the last American troops have left the country, leaving Iraqi airspace open to Israel's jets. It appears that the U.S. is indeed standing with Israel. But the loss of the Sentinel drone raises some very disturbing questions.

Why did Barack Obama make no attempts to destroy or recover the U.S. drone? The loss of intelligence alone is considered huge. But the technology contained in the drone is also used in America's most advanced fighters. The F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. Surely, Russia and China will get a good look at the Sentinel, courtesy of Iran.

Why would Obama not do everything possible to protect that technology? Wouldn't Presidents Reagan, Bush #41, Clinton, or Bush #43 have done so? Reports say that Obama was worried that destruction or recovery of the drone would be seen as an act of war. Iran already sees the mere use of the drone as an act of war. Is Obama that incompetent? Or is it something worse?

It leaves one unthinkable question that must be asked. Did Barack Obama, commander in chief, purposefully allow the Sentinel drone to be captured by Iran? If so, why?

If reports are correct, the Iranians now possess critical intel that Israel would use in any attack. This could create enormous problems for Israel, increasing the chance for unacceptable losses or, even worse, a failed attack.

'Israel is rightly concerned about Iran. But, they are also concerned about Barack Obama and the lack of support within the U.S. administration for an airstrike on Iran's nuclear facilities. Would Obama go so far as to sacrifice secret U.S. technology in order to betray the nation of Israel and thwart an Israeli attack?'

There are approximately 125,000,000 Evangelical Christians living in the United States today. Bible-believers. And staunch supporters of Israel. They know their Bibles. And the promise that God made to Abram, later called Abraham, father of Israel.

'Now the LORD said to Abram,

"Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you and the one who curses you I will curse. Many Christians and Jews believe these words. And believe them to come directly from the heart and mind of God.

If Barack Obama has betrayed Israel, it could mean something much more challenging than a simple election-year political issue.

GOP in Trouble over Payroll Tax Holiday

The Republicans are getting royally screwed over this payroll tax controversy because the public is not getting the entire story from the corrupt American Pravda. In the eyes of voters, Obama is winning this battle because Americans are hurting financially. Any amount of money coming out of their checks will hurt. We don't need to give him any further ammunition to help his chances for re-election.

The GOP had better do something and fast because they are currently the party which will be held responsible for a tax hike on average Americans starting January 1st.

The Payroll Tax Issue, Simply Explained

"With all the verbiage and posturing going on,(a deliberate attempt to obscure things by the democrats and their media allies, as far as I'm concerned) I think a simple and direct explanation of this issue is in order.

The legislation in question actually has three components. Needless to say, the president and the Democrats are only talking about one of them.

The first one, the one that's getting all the attention is a payroll tax holiday extension for an additional two months.

The second part is completing the Keystone Pipeline to carry 700,000 barrels of crude per day from the Canadian oil sands in Alberta to refineries in Port Arthur, Texas. This would provide an estimated 20,000 American jobs and lower prices at the pump.The president, of course, says he'll veto it, citing global warming and environmental issues.

The third part involves another Federal extension of unemployment benefits.

A number of Republicans in the Senate stupidly approved a bill that would extend the payroll tax for another two months, allow President Obama the leeway to approve the pipeline construction at his discretion, (which means it won't happen) and provides funding for another federal unemployment extension.

The GOP-dominated House refused to go along with this, as Speaker Boehner showed some courage for a change. The House wants a compromise that would extend the payroll tax holiday for an entire year,would force President Obama to veto the Pipeline bill, and allow the extension of unemployment benefits.

The President and the Democrats have so far refused to sit down and negotiate any of this. The last thing the president and his allies want, aside from lower gas prices is a long term tax cut, both of which provide less revenues for President Obama's domestic agenda.

The House Republicans made a huge PR error in not making the pipeline the sticking point rather than the payroll tax holiday. Instead, they should have compared the jobs and the savings at the pump to the estimated $40 per paycheck a family of four with a $50,000 income would save (about $160 total) as compared to the jobs and the more permanent lowering of gas prices, goods and services. One would expect a "committed Christian" such as our president would be more concerned about the genocide directed against Christians in Muslim nations. Iraqi Christians, in particular, are on the verge of extinction, and our president does NOTHING!!

Iraq’s Christians Near Extinction

"A recent Fox News report tells of how 'a rash of attacks on Christian-owned businesses in northern Iraq has raised troubling questions about the future safety of the country’s shrinking Christian community, particularly as U.S. forces withdraw completely from the nation they’ve refereed since 2003.'

In fact, 'questions about the future safety of the country’s shrinking Christian community' have been raised ever since the U.S. toppled secular strongman Saddam Hussein, thereby unloosing the forces of jihad previously corked. The report continues:

'The attacks, which have received little international attention, raged through northern cities following a sermon last Friday by a local mullah. Video purportedly from the riots posted online shows mobs burning and wrecking businesses, which included liquor stores, hotels and hair salons.'

Note the two important facts here that play over and over whenever Christians are persecuted under Islam: 1) Despite their frequency and severity, they 'receive little international attention' (indeed, only the most spectacular of terrorist attacks on Christians—such as the 2010 Baghdad church attack which left some 60 dead—ever receive mainstream media attention); and 2) as usual, the attacks followed 'a sermon last Friday by a local mullah' (in other words, are Islamic in nature).

As if the situation wasn’t bad enough, after pointing out that 'Iraqi Christians … are living in fear,' U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf said:

'“Now with the [U.S.] forces leaving … I think the Iraqi Christians are going to go through a very, very difficult time.” … He urged the Obama administration to do more to speak up on the issue. “They know this is a problem. Our government ought to be advocating and ought to be pushing.”'

It ought to, but it’s not. After calling the U.S. government’s silence concerning the blatant persecution of Iraq’s Christians 'disturbing,' the founder of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council added: 'We’re on the verge of extinction.'

Writer Kenneth Timmerman, who recently returned from Iraq, was asked in an interview 'what if anything is the U.S. doing to alleviate the plight of Christian minorities … in Iraq?' His response:

'Under President Obama the U.S. is doing nothing. They are putting no pressure on Al-Maliki in Iraq. … I just returned from Northern Iraq … I can tell you that this is a community that is on the verge of extinction. The Assyrian Chaldean Syriac community in Iraq [i.e., the Christians] constitutes the indigenous people of Iraq. They have been there for millennia. They are being driven out by Jihadi Muslims on the one hand and by Kurdish Nationalists on the other.'

Worse, whereas Iraq’s Christians were in the habit of fleeing to neighboring countries for refuge, in light of the so-called 'Arab Spring,' these countries are no longer safe, as their own Christians are increasingly targeted.

In fact, by pushing for 'democracy' and 'elections, the Obama administration has helped unloose some of the most anti-Christian—not to mention anti-Western, anti-Israel, in a word, anti-infidel—forces in the region. Consider Syria, for instance, where many Iraqi Christian refugees have fled to:

'As the Assad regime comes under mounting international pressure, Christians, who comprise around ten per cent of the population, are particularly concerned about what the future holds for them and Iraqi Christian refugees living in the country. Should Assad fall, it is feared that Syria could go the way of Iraq post-Saddam Hussein. Saddam, like Assad, restrained the influence of militant Islamists, but after his fall they were free to wreak havoc on the Christian community; hundreds of thousands of Christians were consequently forced to flee the violence. Many of them went to Syria. … Most of the Iraqi Christians living in Syria are worried because they do not want to see Syrian Christians passing through the same path as happened with them in Iraq.'

As if all this was not enough, Pamela Geller reports that 'Christians are being refused refugee status [in the U.S.] and face persecution and many times certain death for their religious beliefs under Sharia, while whole Muslim communities are entering the U.S. by the tens of thousands per month despite the fact that they face no religious persecution.'

Such is the increasingly surreal world we live in."

Biden's Comment Was Intentional -- Not a Gaffe

How can the Obama regime fight a war against terror when it is focused on its true "enemy" -- conservatives -- who oppose the radical agenda proposed by the Marxist in the White House? Obama was never particularly interested in foreign policy, other than his goal of wiping out Israel. His main agenda is to transform America into his socialist/Marxist paradise which he has been dreaming about for decades.

The commander-in-chief wants all our troops out of Afghanistan. He needs to make his case for exiting, which is precisely why he sent Biden out to tell the public that the Taliban is not our enemy. Obama needs a passionate base to help him get re-elected; pulling out of Afghanistan will help him to achieve that goal. Reality on the ground has never interested Obama much. If Afghanistan blows up in his face, he'll find a way to blame it all on Bush.

Bolton: Biden's Statement that Taliban Not Our Enemy Was No Gaffe

"First Obama and Biden wanted to work with what they called the 'moderate Taliban.' Even the Taliban thought that was ridiculous. And it was -- sort of like a chaste prostitute. The Taliban does not share Western values, goals, objectives. The Taliban's playbook is the qur'an and its stated aims.

The whole idea of a moderate Taliban or a moderate Islam is false, and Obama knows it. So now, according to Biden, the Taliban is not our enemy at all.

Never mind their role in 9/11. Never mind their hosting al-Qaeda camps and working with al-Qaeda.

It amounts to surrender, to prostration before the jihadist enemy.

Now, we know old Joe is none too bright, but here Bolton explains: this was no gaffe.

Ambassador John Bolton said Tuesday that Joe Biden’s statement that the Taliban is not America's enemy in Afghanistan was not a gaffe, but instead the vice president was “articulating what the White House strategy is.” Biden made his remarks in a recent Newsweek interview, but the Obama administration is saying they were taken out of context.

“I don’t think this is a gaffe by Joe Biden — I think he is articulating what the White House strategy is — I think they know exactly what they are trying to do,” Bolton told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. “They are trying to redefine the terrorist threat to be a limited group of al-Qaida people along the Afghan-Pakistan border.

“They are going to redefine Taliban away from that — they are going to ignore Taliban in the Arabian Peninsula, and al-Qaida in Iraq, and al-Qaida in North Africa,” Bolton said. “And they’re going to say it’s just that one little thing: We’ve killed Osama bin Laden — the war on terror is over.”

Van Susteren noted that when she recently was in Afghanistan with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton they saw firsthand how the Taliban treats women and wondered whether the United States can really not view the Taliban as an enemy. Bolton said the Taliban treats anyone who does not agree with them horribly.

“I think this strategy is something the Democrats have looked [to] before. It reminds me of Vietnam. Remember Sen. George Aiken, the Republican of Vermont? It was clear to him that we didn’t have the stamina to go on and actually win,” Bolton said. “So the George Aiken strategy: We’ll declare victory and get out — that is what the administration is going to do in the war on terror. Having redefined who the terrorists are and having said the Taliban is not our enemy, they’re going to say we have won and the war is over."'

That would be great, except for the inconvenient truth that it isn't over. The jihad against the U.S. will continue all over the world, not just in Afghanistan. And neither Biden nor his boss are doing anything to resist it."

If we can defeat Obama next year, John Bolton would make an awesome secretary of state.
