Now, this is interesting. The Obama birth certificate controversy may not be worthy of news coverage in America. But, that is not the case around the world.
I have no idea where Obama was actually born, but I find it very suspicious that he has spent a small fortune on attorney fees over the last several years to avoid revealing it. It's also concerning that some experts have come forth stating that the certificate presented last year was a forgery.

As WND reported, Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse announced there is probable cause indicating the documents released by the White House last April purported to be Obama’s original, long-form birth certificate and Selective Service registration card are actually forgeries.
'Pravda called out the U.S. press for its deliberate neglect of the largest scandal in modern American history,' Cotter wrote in a March 29 Pravda commentary. 'Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio released credible forensic evidence that Barack Obama, presumed President of the United States, presented to the world a forged Birth Certificate on April 27th, 2011.'
She added, 'Since then, the scandal has only expanded. Former United States Postal Service worker Allen Hulton has recently come forward with compelling testimony given under Oath, which leads to only one conclusion: Barack Obama attended College in the United States as a Foreign Student.'
Cotter details results from a WND investigation revealing a retired U.S. Postal Service carrier claims the parents of former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers helped finance Obama’s Harvard education – and that Ayers’ mother indicated she believed Obama was a foreign student.
'There is little doubt Mr. Obama has been less than honest with regard to the Ayers family and their significance in his life. As disingenuous as this is, it is by no means the most important revelation,' she wrote. 'If correct, and Obama was introduced to Hulton as a Foreign Student, this means Barack Hussein Obama would have been using a Foreign Passport to get and prove his foreign student status for entrance into Occidental College, Columbia, and later Harvard Universities. Because Hulton has signed an Affidavit, this cannot be disregarded as mere hearsay; it is instead evidentiary in nature.'
Cotter also noted that the U.S. media have remained silent about Obama’s Selective Service card.
'Has the wider American media addressed any of this in context?' she asked. 'It may be the largest scandal in American history, certainly the most significant constitutional crisis the nation has faced since the end of the Civil War.

As WND reported, Pravda also published a March 7 piece from Cotter on the topic. In that commentary, she accused the American media of being 'tame,' afraid to publish news and 'deliberately hiding the evidence published on the internet about [President Obama's] defrauding of the American public and the deliberate evisceration of the Constitution of the United States.'
Czech press: More known about ‘birth of Jesus two millennia ago’
Now, Neviditelný pes (translated 'The Invisible Dog'), a popular news website from Prague, Czech Republic, has published a two-part series noting that even Americans seeking to apply for a driver’s license must submit proof of their identity.
According to a rough Google translation, the article explained, 'It is the responsibility of applicants for the [presidency] to make available documents about his previous life – to present a birth certificate …'
The article continues, 'So now we know more about the circumstances of the birth of Jesus two millennia ago than about Obama half a century ago.'
The piece offers detailed background on the eligibility issue and the investigation led by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. A roughly translated version of the series is available here and here.
The Voice of Russia: ‘Obama’s birth certificate may be forgery’
WND also reported when The Voice of Russia – successor of Radio Moscow, the official station of the Soviet Union – published an exclusive interview with Sheriff Joe Arpaio March 26 titled, 'Obama’s birth certificate may be forgery.'
'Wherever I go, people commend me for doing this,' Arpaio told The Voice of Russia. 'So, naturally this has been probably the biggest censorship and blackout in the history of journalism when no one from the national level will cover the story.'
However, in the recent The Voice of Russia interview, the Russian host argued that the Obama eligibility issue has been covered by 'hundreds' of U.S. news outlets for years – after both Donald Trump and Arpaio brought up the question.
'Well, I wish you would tell me who they are. I’m sure it’s not national. CBS, ABC, cable?' Arpaio asked. 'Just show me who has been covering it. They haven’t been covering. I’m not going to get into inside sources that say that they don’t want to cover it, that’s another issue when we are talking about the media. But where is all the news? Yes, you read that right. Hmm, I wonder what religion the poor victim of this crime is. In reality, I think we all know. When I think they've stooped to their lowest levels, they always prove me wrong.

In the horrific case of the five-year-old girl, the authorities would not say where the marriage took place or give any more details to protect the child.
Fionnuala Murphy, of the Iranian and Kurdish Women's Rights Organisation, said it deals with an alarming 100 cases of forced marriage every year. She told the BBC: 'We have had clients who are in their very early teens; 11-year-olds, 12-year-olds.
'The youngest case we had was nine-years-old.'
The organisation is among many that want forced marriage to be made a criminal offence. The Government said last year that there at least 5,000 to 8,000 cases of forced marriage in England and the number of reported cases is rising annually. At the time, Conservative Party chairman Baroness Warsi said it was a disgrace that forced marriage was only a matter of civil law.
The politician said forcing someone to do anything against their will, by violence or by coercion, is 'inhumane and unacceptable'. She added: 'I have met some of the victims. They speak about wedlock being used as a weapon and the horrors to which this can lead, such as rape, abuse and unwanted pregnancy.'

'Former U.S. diplomat John Bolton alleged Thursday that the Obama administration leaked a story about covert Israeli activity in order to foil potential plans by the country to attack Iran's nuclear program.
Bolton, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the George W. Bush administration, was responding to an article in Foreign Policy magazine that quoted government sources claiming Israel had been granted access to airfields in Azerbaijan -- along Iran's northern border.
The article did not state exactly what the Israelis' intentions were, but it suggested it could point to a possible strike on Iran.
"I think this leak today is part of the administration's campaign against an Israeli attack," Bolton claimed on Fox News.
The White House did not respond to Bolton's claims Thursday.
Bolton, a Fox News contributor, noted that a strike launched from Azerbaijan would be much easier for the Israelis than a strike launched from their own country -- jets could stay over their targets longer and worry less about refueling. But he said tipping the Israelis' hand by revealing "very sensitive, very important information" could frustrate such a plan.
Speaking afterward to FoxNews.com, Bolton said he didn't have hard proof that this was an intentional administration leak to halt an Israeli attack.
But he noted widely reported comments from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in February that he thinks the Israelis could strike as early as April. If that's the case, Bolton said, then it would be "entirely consistent" for the administration to try to avoid that impending outcome.
The Foreign Policy article quoted what were identified as "high-level sources ... inside the U.S. government." It specifically mentioned "four senior diplomats and military intelligence officers."
One intelligence officer, who was unnamed, told the magazine that the U.S. was "watching" the activity and was "not happy about it."
The Foreign Policy article did not specify whether any of the information came from the White House, and there is no direct evidence that this was a coordinated leak.
"Clearly, this is an administration-orchestrated leak," Bolton told FoxNews.com. "This is not a rogue CIA guy saying I think I'll leak this out."

You don't often hear an American president secretly (he thinks) assuring foreign leaders that concessions are coming their way, but they must wait because he's seeking re-election and he dare not tell his own people.
Not at all, spun a White House aide in major gaffe-control mode. The president was merely explaining that arms control is too complicated to be dealt with in a year in which both Russia and the U.S. hold presidential elections.
Rubbish. First of all, to speak of Russian elections in the same breath as ours is a travesty. Theirs was a rigged, predetermined farce. Putin ruled before. Putin rules after.
Obama spoke of the difficulties of the Russian presidential 'transition.' What transition? It's a joke. It had no effect on Putin's ability to negotiate anything.
As for the U.S. election, the problem is not that the issue is too complicated but that if people knew Obama's intentions of 'flexibly' caving on missile defenses, they might think twice about giving him a second term.
After all, what is Obama doing negotiating on missile defense in the first place? We have no obligation to do so. The ABM Treaty, a relic of the Cold War, died in 2002.
We have an unmatched technological lead in this area. It's a priceless strategic advantage that for three decades Russia has been trying to get us to yield. Why give any of it away? In order to placate Putin, Obama had already in 2009 abruptly canceled the missile-defense system the Poles and Czechs had agreed to host in defiance of Russian threats. Why give away more?
It's unfathomable. In trying to clean up the gaffe, Obama emphasized how intent he is to 'reduce nuclear stockpiles' and 'reduce reliance on nuclear weapons.' In which case, he should want to augment missile defenses, not weaken, dismantle or bargain them away. The fewer nukes you have for deterrence, the more you need nuclear defenses. If your professed goal is nuclear disarmament, as is Obama’s, eliminating defenses is completely illogical.
Nonetheless, Obama is telling the Russians not to worry, that once past 'my last election' and no longer subject to any electoral accountability, he'll show 'more flexibility' on missile defense. It’s yet another accommodation to advance his cherished Russia 'reset' policy.
Why? Hasn't reset been failure enough?

In addition to canceling the Polish/Czech missile defense system, Obama gave the Russians accession to the World Trade Organization, a START treaty that they need and we don't (their weapons are obsolete and deteriorating rapidly) and a scandalously blind eye to their violations of human rights and dismantling of democracy. Obama even gave Putin a congratulatory call for winning his phony election.
In return? Russia consistently watered down or obstructed sanctions on Iran, completed Iran's nuclear reactor at Bushehr, provides to this day Bashar al-Assad with huge arms shipments used to massacre his own people (while rebuilding the Soviet-era naval base in the Syrian port of Tartus), conducted a virulently anti-American presidential campaign on behalf of Putin, pressured Eastern Europe and threatened Georgia.
On which of 'all these issues' -- Syria, Iran, Eastern Europe, Georgia, human rights -- is Obama ready to offer Putin yet more flexibility as soon as he gets past his last election? Where else will he show U.S. adversaries more flexibility? Yet more aid to North Korea? More weakening of tough Senate sanctions against Iran?
Can you imagine the kind of pressure a re-elected Obama will put on Israel, the kind of anxiety he will induce from Georgia to the Persian Gulf, the nervousness among our most loyal East European friends who, having already once been left out on a limb by Obama, are now wondering what new flexibility Obama will show Putin -- the man who famously proclaimed that the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe' of the 20th century was Russia's loss of its Soviet empire.

Finally, a nation coming to the aid of Israel, and Obama is not pleased. Why Azerbaijan? That's a Muslim nation. But, we must remember that Muslim nations are also threatened by Iran's nukes.

This is the case even when dealing with former officials, and most certainly when dealing with current government officials. What we are seeing here is not a trickle of information, but rather, a powerful current, a true flood that leaves no doubt as to the existence of an orchestrated media campaign with clear aims.
There is another interesting aspect to this story from an American point of view: In 2002, when President George W. Bush sought to embark on war in Iraq, US intelligence agencies provided him with all the “evidence” that Saddam Hussein is developing large quantities of nuclear and chemical weapons. Following the war, when no traces of such weapons were discovered in Iraq, a Congress inquiry found that US intelligence officials were so eager to satisfy their president that they cut corners and relied on unsubstantiated information.
Given American media reports in recent days, one must wonder whether history is repeating itself. Could it be that the US intelligence community is providing President Obama with what he needs for political reasons – that is, information meant to curb an Israeli or American strike on Iran?'
Waiting for someone on the Republican side of the aisle to expose this. Perhaps someone should send this to House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen since we saw Wednesday night that she has more you-know-what's than any of her party's Presidential candidates.

Afghan Family Kills Woman for Giving Birth to a Girl
These people really are ignorant. If grandma was that ticked off for not getting a grandson, perhaps she should have killed her son, instead of his wife.

The murder took place two days ago in Kunduz province. The baby girl, who is now two months old, was not hurt.
The birth of a boy is usually a cause for celebration in Afghanistan but girls are generally seen as a burden.
Some women in Afghanistan are abused if they fail to give birth to boys. And this is just the latest in a series of high-profile crimes against women in the country.
Late last year a horrifying video emerged of the injuries suffered by a 15-year-old child bride who was locked up and tortured by her husband.
'Crime against humanity'
This murder took place in the village of Mahfalay, in the district of Khanabad in Kunduz.
Khanabad's police chief, Sufi Habib, told the BBC that 'the mother gave birth to a third girl two months ago. The husband and mother-in-law strangled her for giving birth to a third daughter'.
Senior officials told the BBC that the mother-in-law, known as Wali Hazrata, tied the feet of the 22-year old woman, who was known as Stori, while Stori's husband strangled her.
He is thought to be a fighter with an illegal armed militia which is believed to have some political support. Local villagers say that Stori often urged her husband to lay down his arms.
'She lived in a hell not a house. But then she also asked her husband to stay home and avoid going out with these thugs,' one neighbour who wished to remain anonymous told the BBC.
While militia groups have some political support, they have often been accused of violence against women, robberies and extortion.
Afghan women's rights activists brought this case to the attention of the media.
The Director for Kunduz Women's affairs, Nadira Gya, condemned the incident saying: 'it was a brutal crime committed against an innocent woman'.
Local religious and tribal elders in the district also condemned the killing, saying it was an act of ignorance, and calling it a crime against Islam, humanity and women.
They called for immediate punishment. Wali Hazrata appears to have made no public comment as yet."

RAMALLAH, West Bank – 'Palestinian organizers are calling for massive demonstrations on Friday to mark Land Day, an annual event that commemorates the killing of six Arabs who were protesting Israeli land policies on March 30, 1976.
Tens of thousands are expected to participate in what organizers have billed a “Global March to Jerusalem.” The plan is to have protesters from neighboring countries march up to the Israeli border to “demonstrate solidarity with Palestinians and to protect Jerusalem,” according to organizers.
The future status of Jerusalem is at the heart of the Palestinian movement and is the theme for the global Land Day. East Jerusalem is regarded as the likely capital of a future Palestinian state.
Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, a Palestinian activist, explained some of the reasoning for the march to NBC News during a recent interview in Ramallah.
“In light of the total failure of the peace talks, and given the Israeli destruction of the last potential two-state solution through settlement activities, we realize nothing will change unless we change the balance of power,” said Barghouti. He added that organizers are trying to achieve that through this “non-violent peaceful resistance.”
For many Palestinians, Land Day is an annual opportunity to demonstrate that Palestinians inside Israel, the West Bank and Gaza are united and share common goals.
This year will mark 36 years since Israel’s practice of expropriating Arab land to build Jewish settlements provoked protests by Arab residents in the Galilee and Negev. In addition to the six people who were killed, over 100 wounded during the ensuing violence. Since then Palestinians have commemorated March 30 as Land Day and have turned the day into a general protest against what they see as discriminatory practices by the Israeli government. So it seemed an appropriate date for activists to hold their march.

Was This an Honor Killing in California?
I smell something fishy in California. It looks to me like a Muslim man may have killed his wife in an honor killing and is attempting to place the blame on the infidel and at the same time try to incite Islamophobia.

I posted earlier today about what may very well be an honor killing in California (here). I found the daughter's interview to be fake and strange. No tears, no emotion, bad drama. The police are saying that other evidence found during the investigation has them convinced that the killing was an isolated incident that poses no danger to other Iraqis. The family has called it a hate crime and the Muslim Brotherhood operatives have been feeding the lie from their propaganda mills that media so readily eats up.
The police have executed a search warrant at the Alwaladi home.

'In their first interview with the media, the family of Iraqi-American woman Shaima Alwadi, who was beaten to death in San Diego, decided to break their silence and recount the details of the murder that has sent shock waves across the United States and brought back worries of rising Islamophobia in the West.
“My wife was a victim of xenophobia,” Alwadi’s widower Qassem al-Hamidi told Al Arabiya in a phone interview Tuesday. Hamidi said he and his wife are both from the city of al-Samawa in the governorate of al-Muthana in southern Iraq.
“We got married in a refugee camp in Saudi Arabia.”
Hamidi and Alwadi had five sons and daughters, aged 17, 16, 13, 12 and eight.
Hamidi, 48, said he could not go on talking and explained that he was in a bad state before passing on the telephone to his wife’s cousin Hussein Alwadi.
“I saw her body in the dinning room a few minutes before the police arrived,” her cousin told Al Arabiya.
He said the murderer snuck into the house on Wednesday morning from the back garden.
“The garden has no fence so he was able to break the glass of the kitchen window right away and apparently he did so without making a noise.”
Hussein added that the attacker then reached for the window handle, opened it, and got inside.
“He did so after watching Shaima’s husband drive away with four of the children he was taking to school. Only Shaima and her eldest daughter Fatima stayed in the house. Fatima was asleep.”
The murderer, Hussein recounted, saw Shaima in the dinning room and attacked her with an iron rod or a spanner.
“He first hit her on her forehead then on her right ear. The third strike was on the back of her head. This was followed by five fast and consecutive strikes on her head and shoulders.”'
Really? How could they know that?
'Shaima, Hussein said, lost consciousness, upon which the attacker left the house.
“Because the attack was fast, the eldest daughter Fatima, who was asleep in the upper floor, did not hear a thing and only found out when she woke up and went downstairs to see her mother’s body drenched in blood.”
Hussein added that they immediately transferred Shaima to the hospital, where she died three days later after doctors failed to save her life and had to take her off life support.
“We got her body and are taking the necessary procedures to take it to Iraq, where she will be buried.”
In addition to the calamity that has befallen the family after Shaima’s death, Hussein noted, they have also been subjected to a smear campaign that has caused them a great deal of emotional hurt.'

'“The media said that Shiama’s husband was a cultural advisor at the U.S. Army and that he used to train American soldiers heading to the Middle East.”
According to Hussein, Qassem al-Hamidi has been unable to work for the past 18 years.
“He had a complete kidney failure and one of his brothers had to come from Sweden to donate one of his kidneys to him.”
Hussein added that Hamidi has had refugee status since he came to the United States and that Social Welfare pays his rent and his family’s expenses.
“Shaima did not work so they had no source of income.”
Hussein Alwadi was a taxi driver at San Diego Airport and is currently working at the administration of a well-known supermarket in the city of El Cajon, where he lives with his wife and four children.
Hussein said that he and his family were at the same refugee camp where Shaima and her husband got to know each other. The camp, which in 1991 sheltered more than 32,000 Iraqis who fled Saddam Hussein’s regime, was located in the town of Rafha in northern Saudi Arabia.
Both families stayed in the camp for four years before immigrating to the United States.
In 1995, they all left to the United States including Shaima’s seven brothers, some of whom currently live in San Diego and neighboring cities and others in Texas with Shaima’s mother.
Shaima’s father, Islamic preacher Sayyed Nabil Moaad Alwadi, was in Iraq when he got a phone call about his daughter’s death.
“He will stay there to receive her body and burry [sic] her,” Hussein concluded.

Where Is Obama?
I typically do not agree with Pat Buchanan on many issues, but he has pegged Obama correctly on the matter of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin. Let the investigation proceed before making any rash decisions.
Keep in mind that the vile Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton types are nothing more than race hustlers exploiting a tragedy to promote their racist agenda against whites, and Obama is only adding to the problem. Does that make him a hustler as well?

Addressing the Sanford, Fla., incident, Black Muslim Minister Louis Farrakhan tweeted: 'Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Soon, and very soon, the law of retaliation may ... be applied.'
The New Black Panther Party has issued a 'Wanted Dead or Alive' poster featuring the face of George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, and printed up a flier saying Martin was 'murdered in cold blood.'
When Panther leader Mikhail Muhammad was asked if this could ignite an explosive situation that has already seen death threats drive Zimmerman and his father from their homes, Muhammad cursed and said Zimmerman 'should be fearful for his life.'
Demanding 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,' the Black Panther leader offered $10,000 for Zimmerman's capture and called for 5,000 black men to run him down.
'If the government won't do the job, we'll do it,' he warned.
Spike Lee helpfully tweeted Zimmerman's home address.
Friends say Zimmerman fears for his life. One man has already been arrested for threatening to kill Bill Lee, the Sanford police chief who has stepped down and turned the investigation over to the state, the Justice Department, the FBI and a special prosecutor.
Returning from Geneva, Jesse Jackson, too, headed for Sanford, saying: 'Blacks are under attack. ... Targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.' On arrival, Jackson said Trayvon Martin was a 'kid shot down in cold blood by a vigilante.'
Talk show host Joe Madison charged Zimmerman with a 'hate crime.' The Grio, a black news and opinion website, compares the killing of Trayvon Martin to the 1955 murder of Emmett Till in Mississippi.
Till, 14, had flirted with a white woman. Her husband and brother kidnapped, mutilated and murdered the boy and dumped his body into the Tallahatchie River. Emmett Till was lynched.
Trayvon Martin was shot by an overzealous Neighborhood Watch volunteer who grew suspicious of an unfamiliar black man or youth in a hoodie walking at night in the rain in a gated community he patrolled.
What appears to have happened is that, after alerting police to Martin's presence, Zimmerman followed him in his SUV -- against the advice of the cops. Where the street ended, Zimmerman got out.
A fight ensued. According to two witnesses, Zimmerman was losing, flat on his back, screaming for help. It seems unlikely a 17-year-old football player like Martin, angry and in a fistfight, would be screaming for help.
Police say that when they got there, they found Martin dead and Zimmerman with a bloody nose, a cut on the back of his head and grass stains on the back of his shirt.
Did Zimmerman, on his back, losing the fight, fearing this black kid was a criminal who might beat him to death or grab his gun, fire in presumed self defense? Did Martin, who had a right to be enraged with this character following and hassling him, start the fight?
Would Zimmerman, who carried a legal firearm, start a fistfight with an athletic black youth who was reportedly 6 inches taller?
The scenario above appears to be the one upon which Sanford police relied when they declined to arrest Zimmerman. That Trayvon's body was taken to the morgue and identified as 'John Doe' suggests that the police, too, concluded he was an intruder.
They were terribly wrong, as was Zimmerman. But to call this cold-blooded murder or an Emmett Till-type lynching appears, from the existing evidence, to be both demagogic and inflammatory.
Yet, there are questions that need answers.
Why, with a dead teenager, did the Sanford police not bring in Zimmerman and get his story on paper?
Some journalists contend there are racial slurs on the tapes of Zimmerman talking to the cops. Others hear no such thing.
Zimmerman's father calls the media portrayal of his son as a racist an injustice, and says his son has a Peruvian mother, is Spanish-speaking, grew up in a multiracial family and has many black friends.
And the clamor of the crowd -- 'Arrest him!' -- raises a question.
Arrest him -- for what?
If the Sanford police believe they have no case for murder or manslaughter or any felony, what do they charge him with, after they arrest him?
More critically, where is President Obama?
When Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot during a rampage by a crazed gunmen, Obama stepped in with a splendid address to cool the passions and call a halt to the false and fevered accusations of moral complicity in the monstrous crime of a lone killer.
Where is the Obama of Tucson now?"

According to the Obama regime, no, it is not.
Jewish America had better wake up before Election Day. If American Jews care anything at all about their Jewish brethren in Israel, it is becoming quite obvious that Barack Hussein Obama intends to throw Israel under the bus if he is re-elected. Any Jew who votes for him will be an accessory to his crime.

Emotions have been raw in France, especially within the half-million-strong Jewish community, since a gunman shot a rabbi and his two sons, 3 and 5 years old, and the 8-year-old daughter of the principal of the Ozar Hatorah School in the southern city of Toulouse on March 19.
A radical Muslim gunman named Mohamed Merah claimed responsibility for that attack and killing three French paratroopers, before he was shot to death by police.
The 12-year-old boy was hit and punched in the back of his head Monday afternoon as he left the Ozar Hatorah School in southeast Paris, the school’s human resources director, Katia Normal, said Tuesday. She said the aggressors were two boys a couple of years older than the victim who recited anti-Semitic slogans.
It happened about 100 meters from the entrance and therefore out of sight of the police officers guarding the school.'"

Emotions have been raw in France, especially within the half-million-strong Jewish community, since a gunman shot a rabbi and his two sons, 3 and 5 years old, and the 8-year-old daughter of the principal of the Ozar Hatorah School in the southern city of Toulouse on March 19.
A radical Muslim gunman named Mohamed Merah claimed responsibility for that attack and killing three French paratroopers, before he was shot to death by police.
The 12-year-old boy was hit and punched in the back of his head Monday afternoon as he left the Ozar Hatorah School in southeast Paris, the school’s human resources director, Katia Normal, said Tuesday. She said the aggressors were two boys a couple of years older than the victim who recited anti-Semitic slogans.
It happened about 100 meters from the entrance and therefore out of sight of the police officers guarding the school.'"
I wonder if the corrupt media will attempt to blame this incident on the Hitler types. If I were a betting person, I'd go with Muslims as the villains in this hate crime, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to come up with such a conclusion.

Defend Michael Behenna
I try very hard to keep informed about current events, and I have never heard about the case of Michael Behenna until now. Something is desperately wrong in America when one of our bravest devotes his life to defending America's freedom and ends up being unjustly held at Leavenworth.
Where is the outcry? Once again, the American Pravda, which has nothing but disdain for our soldiers, is asleep at its job. This injustice should be shouted out from rooftop to rooftop until this man is freed.

We were expecting that it would be some time before oral arguments were set. To our great amazement (and the Military’s great frustration) the CAAF has expedited the hearing of oral arguments. These arguments will be heard on April 23, 2012 in Washington D.C and they are open to the public. We will keep you advised as to the exact time and place of the arguments. This we hope is the beginning of the end of the injustice which Michael has suffered at the hands of the military justice system – an injustice that as of last week has already imprisoned him at Ft. Leavenworth for 3 years running.
We pray that Michael’s appeal before the CAAF will be successful and that he will once again regain the freedom that the rest of us take for granted. But no matter when that day actually comes, Michael will have lost years of his life which he will never get back. Unless Michael’s conviction is overturned he will reenter society as a felon and face all the challenges that come with that. 'On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. Mansur was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation and Army intelligence believed he organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home.
During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.
Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation. Whether it is U.S. border patrol agents, members of the armed forces, or FBI agents, no individual who is serving on the frontlines in the War on Terror should be so blatantly mistreated.

•February 23, 2009: 1Lt. Behennaʼs trial begins.
•Defense experts testify that Mansur was standing with his arm outstretched when shot.
•On the evening of February 25th, prosecution expert witness Dr. Herbert MacDonell told the prosecution attorneys the only logical explanation for what happened was that Mansur had to be standing, reaching for LT Behennaʼs gun when he was shot. This contradicted the prosecution’s theory that Mansur was executed while seated on a rock.
•On February 26th LT Behenna testified that while he was interrogating Mansur he turned his head towards his interpreter, and when he did, Mansur lunged for his gun. The LT fired a controlled pair of shots. This explanation was identical to what Dr. MacDonell told the prosecution team in a private meeting the night before.
•During a recess after 1LT Behennaʼs testimony, Dr. MacDonell met with the prosecution team and told them again that the LT’s testimony was exactly what he had demonstrated to Prosecutors the day before and that the LT must be telling the truth. The prosecutors sent Dr. MacDonell home to New York. Leaving the courtroom, Dr. MacDonell told defense counsel he would have made a great witness for LT Behenna.
•The defense counsel asked prosecutors if they have any exculpatory evidence about Dr. MacDonell, and the prosecutors denied possession of such evidence.
•In the prosecution’s closing arguments they argued LT Behennaʼs testimony that Mansur was reaching for his gun was “impossible” based upon the evidence (despite knowing that their own expert witness had told him it was the only logical explanation.)
•Later that Friday night a military panel of seven officers, none of whom had combat experience, convicted LT Behenna of unpremeditated murder and assault.
•After LT Behenna was convicted, but before sentencing, Dr. MacDonell sent an email to the prosecution team requesting that the information provided in his demonstration be turned over to the defense.
•A mistrial was requested by the LT’s defense counsel, but on March 20, the military judge denied both defense motions to declare a mistrial and to order a new trial.
•LT Behennaʼs attorneys are appealing the verdict based on the denial of a fair trial. An oral argument has been scheduled before the highest military court – The Court of Appeals of the Armed Forces – on 23 April 2012 in Washington D.C.
•LT Behenna is currently serving a 15-year sentence in Ft. Leavenworth (the original 25 year sentence was reduced five years by the commanding General of 101st Airborne and the Army Clemency Board reduced it another five years.) The earliest he would be eligible for parole is after serving a third of his sentence. Without parole or a new trial Lt. Behenna will get out of prison for the shooting an Al Qaeda terrorist in self defense when he is 40 years old.

No Wife Beating in Islam Is a Lie
Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch confronts the issue of Muslims beating their wives in a great article at Front Page. Islam truly is a religion right out of the pits of hell. Can you even imagine Jesus condoning wife-beating? No way, no how.
Canada: Muslim Book Sanctions Wife-Beating
"A book discovered in a Toronto Islamic bookstore is causing an Internet uproar: A Gift for the Muslim Couple by the Islamic scholar Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi advises Muslim men that 'it might be necessary to restrain' their wives 'with strength or even to threaten' them. It says that a Muslim wife is forbidden to leave her husband’s house 'without his permission,' and that she has a responsibility to 'fulfil his desires.' If she disobeys, he may 'beat [her] by hand or stick' or 'pull (her) by the ears,' but should 'refrain from beating her excessively.' The only surprising thing about all this is that this book surprises anyone.
Nonetheless, the uproar is understandable, since so many Muslim authorities assure us that there is no sanction for wife-beating in Islam. 'There is no basis in Islamic theology to support domestic abuse of any kind,' declared Qanta A. Ahmed, author of In the Land of Invisible Women: A Female Doctor’s Journey in the Saudi Kingdom, in May 2009. However, the Qur’an tells men to beat their disobedient wives after first warning them and then sending them to sleep in separate beds – a punishment that suggests that the Koran regards women as sexually insatiable and needing to be kept under control (4:34). This is, of course, an extremely controversial verse, so it is worth noting how several translators render the key word here, waidriboohunna.

This would not even be a point of controversy were it not for the fact that Muslim feminist Laleh Bakhtiar, in a new translation that has received wide publicity, translates it as 'go away from them.' In light of this unanimity among the translators, both Muslim and non-Muslim, this seems difficult to sustain – it is hard to believe that all of these authorities on Qur’anic Arabic, spanning several centuries, got the passage wrong until Bakhtiar.
Still, her impulse to mitigate the brute force of this verse is understandable, as many Muslims today regard this verse with acute embarrassment. The convert from Judaism and Islamic scholar Mohammed Asad adduces numerous traditions in which Muhammad 'forbade the beating of any woman,' concluding that wife-beating is 'barely permissible, and should preferably be avoided.'
Unfortunately, however, this is not a unanimous view. Sheikh Syed Mahmud Allusi in his Qur’anic commentary Ruhul Ma’ani gives four reasons that a man may beat his wife: 'if she refuses to beautify herself for him,' if she refuses sex when he asks for it, if she refuses to pray or perform ritual ablutions, and 'if she goes out of the house without a valid excuse.'
What’s more, the propriety of wife-beating is reinforced in the hadith. Western apologists for Islam like to point to a hadith in which Muhammad held up a toothbrush in response to a question from his followers about the proper implement to use to beat one’s wife (he was brushing his teeth when they approached him). In practice, however, Muhammad himself didn’t always counsel such gentleness, and the early Muslims didn’t practice it. His favorite wife, Aisha, said it herself: 'I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women.' Muhammad was once told that 'women have become emboldened towards their husbands,' whereupon he 'gave permission to beat them.' He was unhappy with the women who complained, not with their husbands who beat them.
Also, Aisha reports that Muhammad struck her – and remember, Muhammad’s example is normative for Muslims, since he is an 'excellent example of conduct' (33:21). Once he went out at night after he thought she was asleep, and she followed him surreptitiously. Muhammad saw her, and, as Aisha recounts: 'He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?'
Many influential Muslims in modern times take all this seriously. In Spring 2005, when the East African nation of Chad tried to institute a new family law that would outlaw wife beating, Muslim clerics led resistance to the measure as un-Islamic. A 2007 survey of hospital workers in Turkey found 69% of the women and 84.7% of the men agreed that under some circumstances a husband was justified in beating his wife. Among the acceptable circumstances were 'criticising the male.' As many as twenty percent of women even in the reputedly moderate land of Tunisia are victims of spousal abuse.
In September 2007, the Islamic cleric Muhammad Al-‘Arifi explained on Saudi and Kuwaiti television, in line with the three-tiered approach counseled by Qur’an 4:34: 'Admonish them – once, twice, three times, four times, ten times. If this doesn’t help, refuse to share their beds.' And if that doesn’t work? Al-‘Arifi asked his audience; one young man replied, 'Beat them.'
'That’s right,' Al-‘Arifi responded.
Then he explained the parameters: 'Beating in the face is forbidden, even when it comes to animals. Even if you want your camel or donkey to start walking, you are not allowed to beat it in the face. If this is true for animals, it is all the more true when it comes to humans. So beatings should be light and not in the face….If he beats her, the beatings must be light and must not make her face ugly. He must beat her where it will not leave marks. He should not beat her on the hand… He should beat her in some places where it will not cause any damage. He should not beat her like he would beat an animal or a child — slapping them right and left.'

Canada: Muslim Book Sanctions Wife-Beating
"A book discovered in a Toronto Islamic bookstore is causing an Internet uproar: A Gift for the Muslim Couple by the Islamic scholar Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi advises Muslim men that 'it might be necessary to restrain' their wives 'with strength or even to threaten' them. It says that a Muslim wife is forbidden to leave her husband’s house 'without his permission,' and that she has a responsibility to 'fulfil his desires.' If she disobeys, he may 'beat [her] by hand or stick' or 'pull (her) by the ears,' but should 'refrain from beating her excessively.' The only surprising thing about all this is that this book surprises anyone.
Nonetheless, the uproar is understandable, since so many Muslim authorities assure us that there is no sanction for wife-beating in Islam. 'There is no basis in Islamic theology to support domestic abuse of any kind,' declared Qanta A. Ahmed, author of In the Land of Invisible Women: A Female Doctor’s Journey in the Saudi Kingdom, in May 2009. However, the Qur’an tells men to beat their disobedient wives after first warning them and then sending them to sleep in separate beds – a punishment that suggests that the Koran regards women as sexually insatiable and needing to be kept under control (4:34). This is, of course, an extremely controversial verse, so it is worth noting how several translators render the key word here, waidriboohunna.

This would not even be a point of controversy were it not for the fact that Muslim feminist Laleh Bakhtiar, in a new translation that has received wide publicity, translates it as 'go away from them.' In light of this unanimity among the translators, both Muslim and non-Muslim, this seems difficult to sustain – it is hard to believe that all of these authorities on Qur’anic Arabic, spanning several centuries, got the passage wrong until Bakhtiar.
Still, her impulse to mitigate the brute force of this verse is understandable, as many Muslims today regard this verse with acute embarrassment. The convert from Judaism and Islamic scholar Mohammed Asad adduces numerous traditions in which Muhammad 'forbade the beating of any woman,' concluding that wife-beating is 'barely permissible, and should preferably be avoided.'
Unfortunately, however, this is not a unanimous view. Sheikh Syed Mahmud Allusi in his Qur’anic commentary Ruhul Ma’ani gives four reasons that a man may beat his wife: 'if she refuses to beautify herself for him,' if she refuses sex when he asks for it, if she refuses to pray or perform ritual ablutions, and 'if she goes out of the house without a valid excuse.'
What’s more, the propriety of wife-beating is reinforced in the hadith. Western apologists for Islam like to point to a hadith in which Muhammad held up a toothbrush in response to a question from his followers about the proper implement to use to beat one’s wife (he was brushing his teeth when they approached him). In practice, however, Muhammad himself didn’t always counsel such gentleness, and the early Muslims didn’t practice it. His favorite wife, Aisha, said it herself: 'I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women.' Muhammad was once told that 'women have become emboldened towards their husbands,' whereupon he 'gave permission to beat them.' He was unhappy with the women who complained, not with their husbands who beat them.
Also, Aisha reports that Muhammad struck her – and remember, Muhammad’s example is normative for Muslims, since he is an 'excellent example of conduct' (33:21). Once he went out at night after he thought she was asleep, and she followed him surreptitiously. Muhammad saw her, and, as Aisha recounts: 'He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?'
Many influential Muslims in modern times take all this seriously. In Spring 2005, when the East African nation of Chad tried to institute a new family law that would outlaw wife beating, Muslim clerics led resistance to the measure as un-Islamic. A 2007 survey of hospital workers in Turkey found 69% of the women and 84.7% of the men agreed that under some circumstances a husband was justified in beating his wife. Among the acceptable circumstances were 'criticising the male.' As many as twenty percent of women even in the reputedly moderate land of Tunisia are victims of spousal abuse.
In September 2007, the Islamic cleric Muhammad Al-‘Arifi explained on Saudi and Kuwaiti television, in line with the three-tiered approach counseled by Qur’an 4:34: 'Admonish them – once, twice, three times, four times, ten times. If this doesn’t help, refuse to share their beds.' And if that doesn’t work? Al-‘Arifi asked his audience; one young man replied, 'Beat them.'
'That’s right,' Al-‘Arifi responded.
Then he explained the parameters: 'Beating in the face is forbidden, even when it comes to animals. Even if you want your camel or donkey to start walking, you are not allowed to beat it in the face. If this is true for animals, it is all the more true when it comes to humans. So beatings should be light and not in the face….If he beats her, the beatings must be light and must not make her face ugly. He must beat her where it will not leave marks. He should not beat her on the hand… He should beat her in some places where it will not cause any damage. He should not beat her like he would beat an animal or a child — slapping them right and left.'

I've stated before that I don't really believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim, though he has a soft spot in his heart for anything Islamic. In addition, I've stated that I believe that Obama is a Marxist, and with Marxism comes atheism. But perhaps, I was wrong because Obama does indeed have a god whom he worships.

From the omnipresent posters of his jutting face to the spectacle of the Democratic National Convention with Styrofoam Greek columns to the disgraceful alteration of the official presidential seal during the 2008 campaign to his constant presence on our airwaves (Really, do we care about his sports commentary? Or his brackets in the NCAA tournaments?), we know that this is a man with a hunger for the spotlight.
But Obama's ego needs more than the worship of others. His ego also needs the boost that comes from insulting and denigrating others and rubbing in their faces how well he has fared compared to them. The latest example is culled from the upcoming hagiography of him from the writer David Maraniss:
'Will Burns, who worked for Obama when he was a state senator, recalls walking the precincts of their district in the fall of 1997, rounding up petition signatures for Obama's first reelection campaign. "Obama was even competitive about getting signatures," said Burns, now a Chicago alderman. "We would go to someone's door and he would say afterwards, 'See how smooth that was. See how good I am at this. I got a full sheet! You only got a half sheet.' And I would think, 'Well, you're the [expletive] candidate, of course you got a full sheet!' That was him."'
Other examples of the Ego in the Oval Office:
'I think I'm a better speechwriter than my speechwriters.
I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors.'
And this boast from 2004 before his breakout speech at the Democratic National Convention:
'I'm Lebron, baby. I can play on this level. I got game.'
Hillary Clinton was just 'likeable enough' -- ah, the back-handed 'compliment' that is actually an insult. Obama doesn't deliver his putdowns with the humor of Don Rickles. He truly [insults, and] has a mean streak that flourishes when he abuses and demeans other people.
But for what purpose does he use putdowns? Why does he seemingly need to trash-talk people on a regular basis?
His belief in [his] own superiority is clear. We certainly know how disdainful he is of small-town people based on his view of them as bitter clingers to guns and God who fear foreigners. Lest we forget, though, he later smeared all Americans by blaming weak economic growth under his reign on Americans who have grown 'soft.' Americans have been 'a bit lazy,' too.
Nor are African-Americans spared his putdowns. He spoke back in 2011 to an African-American group and told them to stop criticizing him and get to work on his re-election. He exhorted them to:
'Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes. Shake it off. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying.'
Black groups complained that such language was racially tinged. Imagine if a white president had used such language toward an African-American group, accusing them of always demanding more and being lazy to boot.

Presidents are the most powerful people in the world, after all. They can be magnanimous without reveling in the defeat of others. Not this particular president, however.
When Republicans expressed differences with Barack Obama's tax plan, President Obama dismissed their concerns and ideas with the reminder that 'I won.' That bipartisanship he peddled to his dreamy and dewy-eyed supporters was tossed under the bus on Election Day. But he upped the insult level when he refused to address legitimate concerns expressed by Senator John McCain during the 2010 'health care summit' and instead responded with the retort that 'we're not campaigning anymore. The election is over.' McCain deadpanned that 'I'm reminded of that every day.'
Obama is not man enough, is not a gentleman enough, to let bygones be bygones. He must rub his success and his superiority in other people's faces. But sometimes his sense of superiority escapes all sensible bounds.
There is his Dominion Over the Earth, when he challenged the Almighty for dominance over our world. During his 2008 celebratory speech on becoming the Democratic nominee for president, he said future generations would remember:
'This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.'
The narcissism of Barack Obama is beyond belief. His excessive use of the personal pronoun 'I' is yet one more example. President George H.W. Bush had his speechwriters search through and delete as many instances of the word I as they could in his own speeches -- such a contrast to the current occupier of the Oval Office. But Obama's Obama Obsession goes beyond just his own well-developed self-regard. He is not happy unless he can pair it with denigrating others -- for instance, saying Republicans opposed his boondoggle and politically generated 'jobs bill' because they could not understand it, so he would have to break it into bite-sized pieces so they could understand the bill. Yet there were Democrats who admitted they did not understand ObamaCare when they voted for it -- including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Did Obama ridicule them?
He said that Republicans want to build moats around America and fill them with alligators to eat illegal immigrants coming into America. Is that even remotely funny? Is that the great presidential rhetoric we were supposed to be hearing from the greatest orator since Pericles?
Then there is Obama's penchant to personalize political differences and demean others in doing so. There are 'fat cat' bankers responsible for all our problems, the ever-present George Bush to use as a punching bag, greedy doctors who yank out tonsils for fun and profit, stupid cops, Republicans who have to sit in the back of the bus, and inevitably, Fox News.
Whoever makes straw should be doing quite well, because Obama makes straw men on an assembly line.
The list of people Obama looks down upon is ever-growing.
Then there are his moral equals -- apparently. His wife, Michelle, who said America was a 'mean' country which she gained some modicum of respect for only when her husband became the Democratic nominee for president. There is Attorney General Eric Holder, who calls us a 'nation of cowards' when it comes to race. His 'moral compass' and 'mentor' Jeremiah Wright, who was happy to see America's chickens come to roost on 9/11 and views white people as the source of black people's problems. Muslims, who can commit no wrong -- where was his call for American Muslims to search their souls when one of them went on a shooting spree, wounding and killing many soldiers down in Texas? Or when many others have tried to commit terror attacks in America -- where is the call for soul-searching by President Obama? Do they get some sort of exemption?
Presidents are supposed to be role models. Remember the cliché 'I want to grow up to be president'? Presidents are supposed to inspire us to do great things -- to think of something greater than ourselves. Ronald Reagan dismissed praise of himself as being a Great Communicator. He said in his parting speech as president, 'I wasn't a great communicator, but I communicated great things.'

Obama Regime Ignores the Islamist Threat in Egypt
Egypt is on its way to becoming the next Iran or Saudi Arabia, and our president is just fine with that. It's almost as if he were planning for such a scenario.
As a father of two daughters, Obama should be appalled by the mistreatment of women in the Muslim world, but like everyone else on the Left, he turns his head the other way and yawns.

(Washington Times) — 'The State Department downplayed concerns Monday that Islamists are dominating the drafting of Egypt’s new constitution, despite criticism and outrage voiced by secular and Christian politicians in Cairo.
“We’re not going to prejudge, obviously, the work of this panel,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, referring the 100-person body elected over the weekend by a post-revolution parliament to write the constitution.
Two liberal Egyptian politicians quit the panel Monday, citing concerns that it is being dominated by Islamists and lacks sufficient representation for women and Christians.
About 70 percent of the panel comprises independent Islamists or members of Islamist parties including the Muslim Brootherhood.
Ms. Nuland told reporters in Washington that the constitutional panel represents “one of the next steps in the Egyptian transition process,” and noted that the new constitution will still “have to be put to referendum before the Egyptian people.”

(Washington Times) — 'The State Department downplayed concerns Monday that Islamists are dominating the drafting of Egypt’s new constitution, despite criticism and outrage voiced by secular and Christian politicians in Cairo.
“We’re not going to prejudge, obviously, the work of this panel,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, referring the 100-person body elected over the weekend by a post-revolution parliament to write the constitution.
Two liberal Egyptian politicians quit the panel Monday, citing concerns that it is being dominated by Islamists and lacks sufficient representation for women and Christians.
About 70 percent of the panel comprises independent Islamists or members of Islamist parties including the Muslim Brootherhood.
Ms. Nuland told reporters in Washington that the constitutional panel represents “one of the next steps in the Egyptian transition process,” and noted that the new constitution will still “have to be put to referendum before the Egyptian people.”
Asked whether U.S. officials are concerned the panel is dominated by Islamists, Ms. Nuland said: “We’re not going to judge these groups by their names [or] their history. We’re going to judge them by what they do, we’re going to judge them by the output.”'"

(AP) KABUL, Afghanistan - 'An Afghan soldier shot and killed two British troops Monday at a NATO coalition base in southern Afghanistan before being gunned down by international forces, officials said.
The attack was the latest in a string of so-called "green on blue" attacks in which Afghan security forces have turned their guns on their international colleagues or mentors. Such attacks have become increasingly common over the past year, particularly since the burning of Korans at a U.S. base in February.
Fifteen NATO service members, including eight Americans, have been killed by Afghan security officials or militants disguised in their uniforms so far this year....
Ghulam Farooq Parwani, deputy commander of the Afghan National Army in Helmand, said the shooter was from the eastern Nangarhar province and had been in the army for four years. The Afghan soldier arrived at the gate of the base in an army vehicle. He was able to get close to the British troops by claiming that he had been assigned to provide security for a delegation of government officials from Kabul who were visiting the base Monday, according to Parwani.
"He got close to the foreign troops — three or four meters — and he opened fire," Parwani said. "Then the foreign troops killed him."
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi said the shooter was an Afghan soldier who was in close contact with insurgents and had notified the Taliban of his planned attack before carrying it out.
Since 2007, Afghan security forces have killed more than 75 NATO service members and wounded more than 110 others, according to the Pentagon. More than 75 percent of the attacks have occurred in the past two years....
Six American troops were killed in what were believed to be revenge attacks for the burning of the Korans, although it is impossible to know the exact motive because most the shooters were killed in the incidents.
On March 1, two U.S. troops were killed by two Afghan soldiers and an accomplice on a joint U.S.-Afghan base in Zhari district of Kandahar province in the south.
On Feb. 25, two U.S. military advisers were found dead with shots to the back of the head inside the Afghan Interior Ministry in Kabul.
Two U.S. troops were killed Feb. 23 by an Afghan soldier during an anti-Western protest in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan over the Koran burning.
The U.S. apologized for the burning, saying the Islamic texts were mistakenly sent to a garbage burn pit Feb. 20 at Bagram Air Field, north of Kabul. But the incident raised what had been simmering animosity toward outsiders to a full boil. Deadly protests raged around the nation for six days — the most visible example of a deep-seated resentment bred by what Afghans view is a general lack of respect for their culture and religion.'"
