No Honoring of Murdered Israeli Athletes from 1972 Munich Olympics

Why am I not surprised?  I am getting so sick of the manner in which the entire world caves to every demand coming from the Muslims while at the same time Christians and Jews are treated like pariahs.

The Muslims couldn't even put up with one lousy minute of silence in honor of the Israeli victims of the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre by Islamists.  They had to throw a hissy fit and put a stop to such a tribute.

What's really disgusting is the fact that Yasser Arafat was responsible for this slaughter of human lives, the same Yasser Arafat who was the most frequented foreign guest of the Clinton White House.  Shame on America for acknowledging such an evil man.

No one can ever forget Munich. Munich. It was, at once, the end of Western innocence and the beginning of the West's surrender in installments to Islam, ushering into the twentieth century the modern age of Islamic terrorism.

The surviving assassins were captured, but released three months later by West Germany following the hijacking by Black September of a Lufthansa airliner. Released.

Thus began the rewarding of savagery and Islamic barbarism, ushering in the era and sanction of modern terror. And it has never been so prevalent and evil as it is today.

Abu Daoud,  planner, architect and mastermind of the Munich massacre, said that Arafat saw the team off on the mission with the words“Allah protect you." (source)

Muslims, in refusing to allow a moment of silence for the Munich dead, prove once again that murder and mayhem in the cause of Islam is not fringe, extreme, or radical, but Islamic. And the IOC, in submitting to this bloody totalitarian ideology, sanctions their war on the West.

An Olympics official admits that Muslims blocked one-minute silence for 11 murdered Israeli athletes, one of the widows said.

An Olympics official admitted that Muslim countries blocked the "One-Minute of Silence" campaign to honor the 11 murdered Israeli athletes, one of the widows said.

Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games n 1972, told the European Jewish Press that Jacques Rogge, president of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games, told her  that his “hands were tied” by the admission of 46 Arab and Muslim members to the International Olympic Committee.

She replied, “My husband’s hands were tied, not yours.”

The widow has been conducting an uphill battle to convince the International Olympics Committee to remember the slain athletes with one minute of silence before the opening of the Games in London next week. It never has done so since the murders 40 years ago.

Spitzer gained support for her effort from several countries, including the United States, Britain, Australia, Belgium and Germany. A letter appealing for the minute of silence was signed by 140 Italian legislators, to no avail.

Spitzer called the Olympics “a corrupt organization, led by greed rather than the Olympic spirit. She added, “The IOC’s refusal is pure discrimination – greed and anti-Semitism.
