What Happened to Being Family Oriented?

Wow!  I refuse to shop at Best Buy for promoting Islam.  I'm boycotting Target for promoting gay marriage, and now I can add Penneys to my list of banned retail outlets.  Why don't these stores just refrain from getting mixed up in issues which draw such passion from supporters and opponents alike?   BTW, I guess I should include Urban Outfitters to the mix, though I've never graced their doors before.

The conservative group One Million Moms has launched an attack on JCPenney for featuring a lesbian couple in its new Mother's Day promotion.

The statement says: 'On pages ten and eleven, under the title “Freedom of Expression,” you’ll find “Wendi and her partner Maggie and daughters”. In the picture both women are wearing wedding bands.'
They then go on to lament their frustration with the company's lack of interest in the groups constant attacks.

'Last time OMM contacted JCPenney store managers, we were brushed off,' the statement said. 'Some even experienced in person the store manager saying "Thank you" and walking off while their customer and our concerned members were in mid-sentence.'
It continued: 'OMM has been told that JCP corporate office told store managers to say "Thank you" and then walk away. If they want our business, then we will not be ignored!'
