Obama has thrown any blessings America could possibly earn out the door in his zeal to punish Israel. Canada, on the other hand, is not suffering from the economic upheaval which most of the world is experiencing. Funny how that works, isn't it? Don't expect our brilliant president to draw any conclusions to the fact that Canada is prospering while at the same time blessing Israel. That would require spiritual discernment. Obama has many abilities, but discerning spiritual matters is certainly not one of them.

Kudos for Canada

A Canadian pro-family leader is praising the Canadian foreign minister for taking a strong stand in support of Israel.
Recently The Globe and Mail reported that in a speech promoting Ottawa's plan to open an Office of Religious Freedom, Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird told a U.S. audience that Canada is taking a stronger stand on defending human rights like religious freedom.
Baird's speech dealt most extensively with the persecution of Jews and Christians. He spoke of the organized massacre of Jews during the Spanish Inquisition, and the six million who died in the 1930s and 1940s because of their religious identity. Baird said the world cannot risk appeasing "Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran now, the same way the world appeased the Nazis."
Brian Rushfeldt is executive director of Canada Family Action. "I'm delighted to see one of the nations in the world actually standing up for Israel like we do, and also standing up for true Christian religious values," he tells OneNewsNow.
Rushfeldt believes the Canadian support for Israel has brought the country blessings, as evidenced by its booming economy. "I think there is reward, a blessing -- whatever term one wants to put on it -- for doing that because what you're applying is a principle that just doesn't change," says the family advocate. "That's the way God made it."
Rushfeldt believes most Canadians are pleased with the direction Prime Minister Stephen Harper's government has gone.

it's about time, I thought Canada was lost to the socialist/marxist like Britain is.
