Not only are our school officials indoctrinating our children with their liberal propaganda, but now they are telling our young children what to eat. Our children do not belong to the government. They have been given to us by God Himself. Hands off!

Outrage After School Tells Mom Her Child’s Lunch Is Unhealthy and Unacceptable
"A mother is outraged after school officials told her 4-year-old daughter that her home-packed lunch was not healthy enough to eat. What was so unhealthy about her lunch? Trace Gallagher reported that a lunch inspector at the school told the girl she couldn’t eat her turkey sandwich, banana, potato chips and apple juice. Instead, providing the girl with a USDA-approved lunch with the following guidelines: one serving of meat, one serving of grains, and two servings of fruit or vegetables.
When the girl returned home from school, her unopened lunch contained a note from the school saying that her lunch didn’t meet the guidelines and a $1.25 bill for the replacement lunch. The mom was outraged and anonymously wrote to the local newspaper and called a state representative. The North Carolina representative called the school which apologized, because in fact the lunch did meet all the USDA requirements.
In her statement to the newspaper, the mother argues that the issue isn’t whether the lunch meets any requirements but rather says, 'Don’t tell my kid I’m not packing her lunchbox properly. I pack her lunchbox according to what she eats.'

As a mother, grandmother and preschool teacher for many years I can promise you that any mother knows what her child will and will not eat. I had a little girl last year who refused to eat anything other than carbs at school. Her mother was at her wits end, had been to nutritionists, pediatricians, and counseling with her child. The bottom line was that as long as she eats and the mother continued to introduce other foods that she would be OK. The Government is sticking their nose in where it does not belong! Michelle Obama has a great idea here, but she cannot impose her beliefs into how and what people feed their children. My daughter at that age was stuck in vegetables and fruit. To get her to eat meat was next to impossible. She survived, was healthy and never hungry! I was st my wits end over this. I can promise you that if any government official had ever dared to take my child's lunch away I would have been screaming at the top of my lungs. Shame on the person(s) who made this decision! Back off White House, once again you are overtepping your boundaries!
This situation is absolutely assinine to think that something like this could occur! Good job mom for standing up for what's right!!!
Too often public schools are trying to impose "their" ideas upon the children/trying to undermind what is being taught at home. This school had no right to do what they did. I am glad the mother stood up for her and her child's rights. Parents need to become an active presence in schools: observe what is happeing, what is being taught, etc.
Take the unions and tenure out of the school, problem solved!

what to pack for them.
The school lunchroom patrol or
whatever should have to eat exactly as the children do if this
is going to stand . that means no
chips for teachers, workers etc.
see how they would like their lunch taken from them. some people
only have yougurt or snack for lunch this is dictatorship beginning.
We as a free people need to start protecting our rights. the government has absolutely no right to force any person to eat what they want. yet we continue to see them meddling in our everyday lives. why don't we as voters hold our government officials to what there job really is. Protecting the freedom, rights and liberties of the people.
Not to dictate laws and rules that take away those very same freedoms. The government would have us believe that we as a people are incapable of running
our own lives and raising our children. They seem to know whats best for us. and if we don't like it, to bad!
there going to make us do what they think is best. Like it or not!!!
We better wake up people, before its too late!!!
I understand them regulating what schools are serving, but they have no right to censor what children are bringing from home. This seems to be the road we are heading down though.
