An electromagnetic pulse poses a potential nightmare to the United States, and our government is doing nothing to prevent its occurrence.
Get the facts from The Joseph Project, and be sure to read the book, "One Second After" to get a better idea as to what life would be after an EMP. I did and, trust me, it was very enlightening. I was certainly thankful to know that whatever happens, I am safe in the hands of Jesus. I hope you are as well.
"As the United States faces an uncertain future, one of the more disturbing scenarios is the possibility of an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack on America by one of our enemies. (Just as dangerous is an EMP from the result of activity on the sun!)
We hope it never happens.
But watch the following videos to get a sense of how serious it would be if it did:
Depending on the extent of the damage from the EMP, millions of Americans could die.
It’s stunning, isn’t it?
It could also mean the end of the United States.
'My greatest frustration and something I hope my novel will stir is the realization that only a minimal effort, to start, could radically cut the number of casualties after such an attack, perhaps by a full magnitude from over 250 million dead to less then 25 million dead. . .which is still a horrific number.'
William Fortschen, author of One Second After
So why aren’t Christians taking this danger seriously?
Unfortunately, there are some obstacles in the way which are blocking the ability of Christians to see clearly the particular danger of the EMP and why they should go out of their way to do something about it.
We’d like to help remove those obstacles and enable Christians to see the danger.
So if you’re a Christian and the EMP danger has caught your attention, we encourage you to consider:
Christians and the EMP Danger (Please make sure to view this material.)
The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end, and the seven years of famine began, just as Joseph had said.
Genesis 41:53-54
But what does Joseph have to do with all this? Why is this called The Joseph Project?
The story of Joseph is one of greatest stories in history. It’s full of twists and turns, and deep, deep matters of life and death. It’s also full of highly improbable events which have a massive impact on the people involved — and world history.
One of the pivotal turns in the story comes in chapter 41 of the book of Genesis, when Joseph interprets for Pharaoh the dream God had given him of the seven fat and seven scrawny cows, which foretold the great famine to come. As a result of the role Joseph plays, Pharaoh appoints him to take action in light of the coming disaster. Joseph does a superb job of preparing Egypt for the famine and the result is that many, many lives are saved. As Joseph himself says to his brothers, summing things up for them after the death of their father Jacob:
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Genesis 50:20
Our story here in America, of course, is different in a number of ways. One key way is that we don’t know from God whether a disaster like an EMP will come upon us or not. But what we do know is that it is possible. And therefore we should be like Joseph and at least take some action for the possible saving of many lives. We can at least take precautions so that if the worst happens, we won’t despair over our folly, but instead be in a position to be a blessing to others."
