The US Does Not Just Give

I'm with Ron Paul when he suggests we cut off foreign aid to nations throughout the world. We are flat broke and then some.

Besides, many of the nations, which our hard-earned dollars go to, despise us, though they are eager to open their dirty little hands to more gifts from the hated USA. And where does our generosity get us? Absolutely nowhere; that's where. Our enemies laugh in our faces as they grab our money.

If we want to help poor people, all we need to do is go to Appalachia. In fact, under this Obama economy, the Appalachias are growing throughout this land.

HOWEVER, there is one nation which I would continue to support financially. No surprise to those reading this blog; it's Israel. First and foremost, God said that He would bless those who bless Israel, and I can't think of a country that needs His blessings more than our own. But, there are more reasons to support Israel than the spiritual ones.

Through joint training, exercises and exchanges on military doctrine, the United States has benefited in the areas of counter-terrorism, intelligence and experience in urban warfare. Increasingly, U.S. homeland security and military agencies are turning to Israeli technology to solve some of their most vexing technical and strategic problems.

This support includes advice and expertise on behavioral screening techniques for airport security and acquisition of an Israeli-produced tactical radar system to enhance force protection. Israel has been a world leader in the development of unmanned aerial systems, both for intelligence collection and combat, and it has shared with the U.S. military the technology, the doctrine and its experience regarding these systems. Israel is also a global pacesetter in armored vehicle protection, defense against short-range rockets, and the techniques and procedures of robotics, all of which it has shared with the United States.

In missile defense, the United States has a broad and multifaceted partnership with Israel. Israel's national missile defenses — which include the U.S. deployment in Israel of an advanced X-band radar system and the more than 100 American military personnel who man it — will be an integral part of a larger missile defense spanning Europe, the eastern Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf to help protect U.S. forces and allies.'

The Fragile Peace Between Israel and Egypt

When President Obama signed on with supporting the overthrow of the horrid Hosni Mubarak, he really opened a can of worms. Why are liberals always the last one to know what is going on with evil characters such as the Islamists?

Of course, in Obama's case, there is always the chance that our anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist president knew exactly what might take place when he chose to throw our ally under the bus.

Egypt may cancel peace with Israel, says Jordan's king

"It's not only Israeli analysts who fear that even the cold peace between their country and Egypt may be in danger as Islamic forces rise in the wake of Egypt's revolution.

Jordan's King Abdullah II on Wednesday told the Washington Post that there is a 'very strong possibility' that following upcoming elections, Egypt's new rulers will revoke the Camp David Accords.

That is especially true if the Muslim Brotherhood comes to power. The group is contesting over 50 percent of the parliament seats in the next election, and is currently the only major political party active in the country.

Abdullah said that Jordan will soon be 'the last man standing' in terms of nations in the region that have friendly relations with Israel.

There are many who disagree with Abdullah's conclusions, and even the Post tried to qualify his statements by noting that so-called experts (presumably the same who failed to see the 'Arab Spring' coming in the first place) find talk of Egypt ending its peace treaty with Israel wildly speculative.

Those experts insist that Egypt wants to maintain its flow of American financial aid and military equipment, and won't do anything to jeopardize that. However, the Muslim Brotherhood and the many Egyptians who back the group have repeatedly stated throughout the revolution that they have no interest in continuing their nation's reliance on American backing, and that they view adherence to their radical Islamic ideals as far more important than Western money.

'The peace between Israel and Egypt is no longer holy,' declared Egyptian diplomat and Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi at a recent rally. 'It [peace with Israel] cannot be considered equal to the holy Koran.'

Al-Arabi was only echoing what the Egyptian public had been saying for months.

The results of a public opinion poll conducted following the fall of dictator Hosni Mubarak found that the majority of Egyptians want to annul their nation's peace treaty with Israel.

Conducted by the Pew Research Center, the survey revealed that 54 percent of Egyptians don't want peace with Israel, and will support a candidate who advocates annulling the Camp David Accords.

That percentage was the same among both secular Egyptians and those affiliated with Islamic organizations.

A newer poll conducted by the parent company of Egypt's Al-Ahram newspaper tried to skew the numbers a bit by giving respondents numerous options regarding what they would like to see happen with the Camp David Accords.

Only 23 percent said they want the peace treaty with Israel to be left as it is. Sixty-two percent said they were intereted in maintaining the peace treaty with Israel, but only if it was amended to enhance the benefits to Egypt. It was that 62 percent that the media latched onto, ignoring the fact that the majority wants to alter the peace treaty in ways that would no doubt be hostile toward and unacceptable to Israel."


Can't wait! And guess what we will likely have to look forward to next? Oh, something as minor as the Islamists taking charge of the Suez Canal and its access to sending oil to the West. Or maybe I should say "lack of access".

Oh, Mr. President, you did indeed open a can of worms when you tossed our ally aside to join in with the "freedom fighters".

An "Anti-Christian Spring"

The Arab Spring, with Obama leading the charge, has proven to be a nightmare for the Middle East and northern Africa. And guess which group has taken the brunt of the suffering and persecution? The Christian communities, of course. One would think that the "committed Christian", Obama, would be looking out for those of his "faith", but that is hardly the case. In fact, as the Christians of the Muslim world are being purged from their towns, the American president remains completely silent.

Gingrich: Obama's policies leading to "anti-Christian spring"

"Obama's policies in this regard are a continuation and expansion of his predecessor's, in which the fate of Christians of the Middle East is acceptable collateral damage in a region-wide adventure in fantasy-based policy-making. Washington appears to allow them to be treated worse rather than risk being seen as showing partiality. That could lose 'hearts and minds,' after all -- though meanwhile, Christians are losing heartbeats and heads.

One cannot help but also suspect a bias against or condescending dismissal of Eastern Christianity (and anyone in communion with Rome, as well). It is not the Christianity of members of the Washington establishment, who may thus be prone to write it off as a 'cultural' Christianity (i.e., unfamiliar to them) that has some pretty churches, but that they can't imagine anyone observing.

Is it that they are not the 'right' kind of Christians to be defended?

There may also be an assumption that Christians in the Middle East are less fervent in their beliefs than Muslims, partly because they have been forced to keep a low profile by Islamic supremacists, and partly as a projection of the a la carte Christianity of selective beliefs and observances in the West.

In any case, the decision has come down that Christians in the Middle East are expendable. Indeed, they are being sacrificed, as Washington looks the other way to worship itself as a messianic bearer of democracy. However, a democracy is only as good as the values that inform its participants, and therein lies the problem for human rights in the Middle East in the near future.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – 'Taking a new tack in challenging President Obama’s foreign policy, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said Saturday that the “grotesque failure” of the president’s approach in the Middle East has resulted in an “anti-Christian spring.”

The former speaker of the House claimed that the number of Christians in Iraq fell from 1.2 million to 500,000 since the American invasion in 2003, and that Christianity is under assault elsewhere in the region.

“This is why the current strategy in the Middle East is such a total grotesque failure,” Gingrich told about 200 people gathered at the Chesterfield Inn. “People say, ‘Oh, isn’t this great, we’re having an Arab spring.’ Well, I don’t know, I think we may in fact be having an anti-Christian spring. I think people should take this pretty soberly.”

Gingrich was referring to the recent domino-effect uprisings that are challenging longtime autocratic regimes in the Middle East, which has become known as the Arab spring. As president, Gingrich said, “I would actively try to defend religious liberty across the planet, including in Egypt and Iraq.”'"

Earlier this week, I went to the Benghazi courthouse and confirmed the rumors: an al Qaeda flag was clearly visible; its Arabic script declaring that “there is no God but Allah” and a full moon underneath. When I tried to take pictures, a Salafi-looking guard, wearing a green camouflage outfit, rushed towards me and demanded to know what I was doing. My response was straightforward: I was taking a picture of the flag. He gave me an intimidating look and hissed, “Whomever speaks ill of this flag, we will cut off his tongue. I recommend that you don’t publish these. You will bring trouble to yourself.”'"

Be Very Concerned

It's practice time, folks. Time to shut down America's airwaves. Our favorite dictator, President Obama, is moving closer toward control of the news we hear. In the name of emergency preparation, which is a load of crap, our airwaves will be shut down for 3 1/2 minutes on November 9th at 2 p.m. This has NEVER been done in the history of our nation. Imagine the outcry if George W. Bush has pulled such a stunt.

Add this new move to the recent efforts by the Obama regime "to go around Congress", and we are moving toward a dictatorship with Obama as our new emperor. Since he's big on hiring czars, perhap we should name him Czar Barack.

Obama & FEMA, Controlling American Broadcasting China Style

"On November 9th, at 2 pm EST, the government will seize the airwaves in America for 3 1/2 minutes to officially test the Emergency Alert System. This is the first time ever that this has been done and the implications of such a test are alarming.

'Remember when the emergency broadcast system sounded on your television on Sept. 11, 2001? One long piercing beep followed by useful information on how to respond to the news that we’d just been attacked by terrorists. Perhaps you don’t remember because it never happened. Neither the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) nor its successor, the Emergency Alert System (EAS), made a peep on 9/11.

The lack of noise sparked a public debate about the system’s usefulness.

Conceived as a way for the president to communicate directly with the public in the event of a “national emergency,” EBS was retired in the 1990s and replaced with EAS in 1997. The national emergency warning system went digital and was extended to state and local authorities, enabling them to distribute emergency information via broadcast stations.'


One wonders, why now? Oh boy, I could give you an earful on that one. My gut says this is a display of control and an implied threat. It shows just how fast and completely Obama could seize full control should he decide it is warranted. Any appropriate emergency (real or fabricated) will do. Only the President has the authority to implement this at the national level and he has assigned that authority to the Director of FEMA. The test will be conducted jointly by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through FEMA, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS). Doesn’t that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy? It makes me tingle like the prelude to a monumental disaster.

The purpose of the test is to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a public alert mechanism. EAS Participants currently participate in state-level monthly tests and local-level weekly tests, but no top-down review of the entire system has ever been undertaken. The Commission, along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will use the results of this nationwide test to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a public alert mechanism, and will work together with EAS stakeholders to make improvements to the system as appropriate.'


So what will this disaster be? Inquiring minds would really love to know. It’s like watching a really bad horror flick and seeing the blonde heroine go down to the basement and wonder out loud, 'Billy, is that you?' And we all know what happens to the blonde, don’t we? Well substitute the American public and you are getting closer to the truth. Whether it is a terrorist attack, plague, Occupy Wall Street with hippies run amok or civil unrest in general from a financial meltdown, it’s sure to be a thriller of an event.

Look at the various governments around the world who seized the airways in a time of crises. Never turns out well for the people, now does it? So, the test will take over all radio and television. I wonder if any of this applies to the web? It did in other countries. And I wonder if everyone knows this is going to take place. Warnings of the test seem scarce and low key. So, how many people will panic when the test goes live in the middle of a week day – a business day in America? And why 3 1/2 minutes? Just to let the threat sink in good and hard? This whole exercise smacks of unconstitutionality and brute force.

Trick or treat? More like cake or death…

Except we aren’t laughing. These morons believe that somehow asserting their authority over all broadcast speech will somehow reassure us that they have everything well in hand, that it is for the good of us all, and that nothing can go wrong (… go wrong … go wrong …). Remember, if this were an actual test…"

Savages Celebrate

The United States provides nearly 1/4 of the funding to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, better known as UNESCO. Because of an upcoming election and fear of losing the Jewish vote, Obama has gone against his typical support for the Palestinians and pretended to oppose Palestinian membership to UNESCO. That should set the violent Muslim world on fire with more anti-American rhetoric and who knows what else.

How does UNESCO respond to the American opposition? The members give their greatest contributor the middle finger and overwhelmingly vote in favor of membership for the savage terror state. Keep in mind that this is not the same vote as the one coming in November for full membership in the UN itself.

Congress has threated to defund the UN organization. Now, we shall have to wait and see what happens. President Obama is finding himself in a pickle. Will he follow his heart and veto such a move by Congress? We shall soon find out.

UNESCO Grants FULL MEMBERSHIP To Palestine

"PARIS — Palestine became a full member of the U.N. cultural and educational agency Monday, in a highly divisive move that the United States and other opponents say could harm renewed Mideast peace efforts.

U.S. lawmakers had threatened to withhold roughly $80 million in annual funding to UNESCO if it approved Palestinian membership. The United
States provides about 22 percent of UNESCO’s funding.

Huge cheers went up in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization after delegates approved the membership in a vote of 107-14 with 52 abstentions. Eighty-one votes were needed for approval in a hall with 173 UNESCO member delegations present.

'Long Live Palestine!' shouted one delegate, in French, at the unusually tense and dramatic meeting of UNESCO’s General Conference.

While the vote has large symbolic meaning, the issue of borders of an eventual Palestinian state, security troubles and other disputes that have thwarted Middle East peace for decades remain unresolved.

Palestinian officials are seeking full membership in the United Nations, but that effort is still under examination and the U.S. has said it will veto it unless there is a peace deal with Israel. Given that, the Palestinians separately sought membership at Paris-based UNESCO and other U.N. bodies.


'Monday’s vote is definitive. The membership formally takes effect when Palestine signs UNESCO’s founding charter.'


The U.S. ambassador to UNESCO, David Killion, said Monday’s vote will 'complicate' U.S. efforts to support the agency. The United States voted against the measure.

Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO, Nimrod Barkan, called the vote a tragedy.

'UNESCO deals in science, not science fiction,' he said. ]They forced on UNESCO a political subject out of its competence.'

'They’ve forced a drastic cut in contributions to the organization,' he said.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton last week called UNESCO’s deliberation 'inexplicable,' saying discussion of Palestinian membership in international organizations couldn’t replace negotiations with Israel as a fast-track toward Palestinian independence. source – MSNBC"

We can thank the American Pravda for delivering Obama to us on a platter. It was their job to vet all presidential candidates, and they certainly came up short on investigating Obama. Now, we are paying the price for their refusal to do so.

Who is Barack Obama?

"There are so many things the public does not know about the man who sits in the White House. Who is Barack Obama? In my search to find out the answers I embarked on a journey that has lasted three years and counting -- and nearly made my head explode.

As usual, when Obama is the subject, Americans can't count on the progressives in the Corporate Mainstream Media (CMM) for much help. So, what's one to do? The foreign press proved helpful. Therefore, gleaned from the foreign press: a few stories which didn't rate any coverage from the U.S. CMM.

In 2005, then-Senator Barack Obama went on a mission to Russia with Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN). The newly-minted U.S. senator was invited to be part of a Russian fact-finding tour that inspected a nuclear weapons site in Perm, Siberia. The base Lugar and Obama visited was where mobile launch missiles were being destroyed under the Cooperative Threat Reduction program (CTR), which also went by the name of the Nunn-Lugar program.

What happened next -- after the inspections were over -- was at the time reported by several foreign news sources but was never reported in the USA by the CMM. The Russians detained Obama and Lugar for three hours at the airport, demanding to examine both Obama's and Lugar's passports and search their plane. Some sources reported that the Russians accused Barack Obama of being a spy.

But wait -- there's more!

According to an Italian source, the Russians did not accuse Obama of being an American spy; they accused him of being a spy for the British! The report went on to say that the incident ended up involving the White House, the U.S. State Department, and military officials, along with their counterparts in Moscow.

Strangely enough, an official report from Lugar's office about the trip never mentioned the incident. Neither did Barack Obama in 2008 when he was desperate to exhibit some foreign policy chops.

One other oddity: in the fall of 2008, Obama admitted on his Fightthesmears.com site that he had held dual citizenship with both the United States and Great Britain (the site explained that this was due to Barack Obama, Sr. being a foreign national) until 1982. Did the Russians know something about Obama's citizenship in 2005 that ordinary Americans don't know in 2011?

Another story no one has seen fit to ask about: Obama's Most Excellent Pakistani Adventure.

In the summer of 1981, 20-year-old Barack Obama embarked on a two-week trip to Pakistan. At least what little reporting that has been done claimed the length of the trip was two weeks. The only proof that the trip didn't turn into a longer stay is that we (supposedly) have records which show that Barack Obama enrolled at Columbia University later that same summer. Of course, the public hasn't seen those records, but that's what we've been told. Anyone in doubt will be directed to Obama's autobiography, Dreams from My Father.

Obama clearly gave the impression in DFMF that he was this penniless, somewhat confused young man, in search of an identity. Obama makes sure readers don't miss the point by writing that he was forced to wear 'thrift store clothing' during this time. Yet he somehow managed to find the cash to finance a two-week trip to Pakistan.

Which he never wrote about. Which in itself is odd: here's a guy who wrote two autobiographies that explored events real, imagined, and totally fictional that supposedly forged the modern-day Barack Obama from humble beginnings. That's according to the Obama NarrativeTM -- which gets most of its facts from Dreams from My Father.

Not only did a poor, nearly destitute Obama manage to afford the trip to Pakistan, but once there he somehow financed two weeks in the Lahore Hilton International. In addition, Obama was introduced to the future prime minister and president of Pakistan -- and went bird-hunting with him. Which the prime minister mentioned in the Pakistani press in 2008. There's so much more, including one question the CMM never asked Obama: who arranged all of this? For a 20-year-old nobody.

Another curious piece to the queer Obama puzzle is the connection -- which hasn't been made in the CMM (attention, Fox News!) -- between illegal foreign contributions to the Obama campaign and subsequent billions in Stimulus money to foreign companies and banks. During and after the 2008 election, accusations of illegal foreign contributions -- which flowed into the Obama campaign when credit card safeguards were disabled on the campaign's website -- were documented in the conservative press and elsewhere.

Who were these mysterious donors, and in what countries did they live? Unfortunately, due to the chicanery of Team Obama, we may never know. Fast-forward to 2009. Obama's multi-billion-dollar Stimulus is rushed through Congress, and billions of dollars in Stimulus money are doled out to foreign companies and banks. Finland, China, Brazil, and India are just a few of the beneficiaries of Americans' hard-earned tax dollars. Might these have been payoffs for those shady, unknown donations?

Bill Clinton was the first president to benefit from a foreign spoils system, but Barack Obama has made Clinton look like an amateur.

One more coincidence in shady fundraising. The lady involved with Obama's fundraising in the Caribbean? None other than Vera Baker, who packed up and hurried left the country after the National Enquirer started exploring a possible tryst between her and Obama in a Washington hotel.

Barack Obama can only hope that ObamaCare covers 'extreme stress' -- because whoever on his staff is responsible for keeping track of all of the weird stuff in the president's life is definitely a candidate for burnout.

One final item involves that most elusive of documents: Obama's long-lost long-form birth certificate.

A Chicago-area activist, Sherman Skolnick, writing for a radio show/website (now defunct) by the name of Cloak and Dagger uncorked this headline on his readers. It referred to another story he'd written in 2005 -- three years before anyone in the media coined the term "birther" to tamp down curiosity about our 44th president's past. (All-caps headline in the original story.)

Gays Can Indeed Change Their Sexual Orientation

This should make the blood boil for the "I was born gay and cannot change" crowd and their liberal supporters on the Left.

Study: Gays can change sexual orientation

"NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP) -- A major seven-year study published in a mainstream journal is challenging the secular notion that gays and lesbians cannot change their sexual orientation.

The longitudinal study followed 61 subjects for between six and seven years and found that 23 percent of them reported successful conversion to heterosexual orientation and function and another 30 percent reported stable behavioral chastity with a significant dis-identification with gay orientation. Twenty percent of the subjects had given up and embraced a gay identity.

It is believed to be the first study of its kind -- that is, one that followed people over a series of years and monitored success or failure. The study followed subjects who voluntarily were taking part in Christian ministries affiliated with Exodus International, the nation's largest ministry devoted exclusively to reaching out to homosexuals.

Partial results of the study were released in 2007 and 2009 but now are being published in a peer-reviewed journal, which its authors hope gives it more credibility to those who had criticized it. The study is published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, Volume 37.

'The results that we report in our study suggest that change is definitely not impossible, and it's probably not uncommon, either,' coauthor Stanton L. Jones, a psychologist at Wheaton College, told Baptist Press. 'That doesn't mean that change is easy. We think that these results need to be taken into account as a way of respecting the religious freedom of individuals.'

Baptist Press reported on the earlier findings in '07 and '09. Having the study published in a peer-reviewed journal, Jones said, is significant.

'It signifies that the methodology meets the basic requirements for being taken seriously as a piece of scientific literature,' Jones said. 'Critics still dismiss the study. They say, 'Well, it's only one study,' or they say it's not a large enough sample. But I think the study stands as a significant challenge to the reigning views on this matter, especially given that the major mental health organizations say in alternate voices that change of sexual orientation is impossible or that change in sexual orientation is highly unlikely.'

A statement on the American Psychological Association's website says that promotion of change therapy 'contributes to a negative climate for lesbian, gay, and bisexual persons.'

'All major national mental health organizations have officially expressed concerns about therapies promoted to modify sexual orientation,' the APA statement says. 'To date, there has been no scientifically adequate research to show that therapy aimed at changing sexual orientation ... is safe or effective.'

Changing attitudes on the subject isn't easy, Jones said. Stories about gay people who tried but didn't change tend to get more media attention, he said. Also, he noted, the issue has become political. When Attorney General Eric Holder announced in February that the Justice Department would no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act, part of Holder's reasoning was that there's 'a growing scientific consensus ... that sexual orientation is a characteristic that is immutable.' The study by Jones and coauthor Mark A. Yarhouse of Regent University directly challenges that argument.

'To admit that the study has any validity is to draw into question ... the change in [public] policies,' Jones said.

The study does not examine why some people are more successful in changing their orientation than others.

'We can't answer that,' Jones said.

Some critics say the study was deficient because it did not record the physical responses of subjects to sexual stimulus. In some mainstream circles, that is done by placing pornography in front of the subjects and either monitoring the physical response or monitoring the brain for a response. But such a test, Jones said, would have gone against what Exodus strives to obtain -- sexual purity in both thought and practice.

'Christians and others who are pursuing a moral framework for change don't look at that as a benign interaction,' Jones said. ' ... People who are undergoing change don't want to submit themselves to exposure to gay porn as a measurement method as to whether they have changed.'

Jones and Yarhouse caution against projecting success ratios based on their study. For instance, they say, it would be wrong to say that 23 percent of people can change their orientation, just because 23 percent of the people in their study did so. Nevertheless, they say, the study shows that change is possible.

'I know individuals who have been married for 20 and 30 years after coming out of the gay community,' Jones said. 'The claim that nobody has ever changed is not substantiated either by our study or by any number of powerful anecdotes that are out there.'"

'Top Justice Department officials convened a meeting Wednesday where invited Islamist advocates lobbied them for cutbacks in anti-terror funding, changes in agents’ training manuals, additional curbs on investigators and a legal declaration that U.S. citizens’ criticism of Islam constitutes racial discrimination.

The department’s “civil rights lawyers are top of the line — I say this with utter honesty — I know they can come up with a way” to redefine criticism as discrimination, said Sahar Aziz, a female, Egyptian-American lawyer.

“I’d be willing to give a shot at it,” said Aziz, who is a fellow at the Michigan-based Muslim advocacy group, the Institute for Social Policy & Understanding.

The audience of Islamist advocates and department officials included Tom Perez, who heads the department’s division of civil rights.

“We must continue to have the open and honest and critical dialogue that you saw in the robust debate,” Perez responded in an enthusiastic closing speech a few minutes after Aziz made her demands at the event.

“I sat here the entire time, taking notes,” Perez said. “I have some very concrete thoughts … in the aftermath of this.”

The meeting at George Washington University showcased the expanding alliance between American progressives and Islamists, said Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor in New York.

Progressives “are making these Islamist groups into the [political] representatives of Muslims in the United States,” he told The Daily Caller. That elevation of Islamists to a leadership role sidelines the majority of American Muslims who don’t want Islamist leaders, as well as American Muslims who are female or gay, he said.

McCarthy investigated and prosecuted Egyptian-born Imam Omar Abdel-Rahman, dubbed “the blind sheik,” for urging Muslims to kill New Yorkers. Abdel-Rahman was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996.

Progressives ally with the Islamic lobby because “they think it will be a political voting bloc that will be reliably Democratic,” said Robert Spencer, an author and expert on Islam.

None of the Islamist advocates of civil rights officials in attendance, including Perez, objected to Aziz’s call for free-speech restrictions.'"

'A city woman is accused of pimping a 16-year-old girl she met in Victory Park during the Occupy NH demonstrations.

Justina Jensen, 23, of 341 Hanover St., is charged with felony prostitution. Police allege Jensen met a teen at the local protest, which is an offshoot of Occupy Wall Street, and used the Internet to arrange a first liaison for the girl with a man who turned out to be an undercover police officer.

Police said the teen’s mother called them Thursday about noon to say her daughter was missing and that her photograph had been posted on a website advertising adult party entertainment.

Court documents show the mother told police she and a friend had used the website to negotiate a deal for the friend to pay for sex with the teen.

Investigators looked at the website and found the girl’s photo posted there, along with pictures of three other women, in an advertisement offering men to “come and have fun with four beautiful ladies” in Manchester.

Police said a woman who called herself “Remy” negotiated a telephone deal for “Mad Mike” to pay $150 to have sex with the teen called “Jewel.”'

10:30 a.m.: East Precinct officers were leaving the Multnomah County Courthouse when a woman, 39-year-old Angela Hallinger, threw a paintbrush at the officers because they would not stop and look at her art. The paintbrush hit one of the officer’s pants and left paint on them. The subject then picked up the paintbrush and threw it again at them, just missing their heads. Officers were told that a Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney had reported that a woman was flashing her breasts at people. It was determined that it had been Hallinger, and she was arrested and booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

During the same incident, officers found that the porta-potties on the south side of Chapman Square along Southwest Madison Street were overflowing and it appeared raw sewage was running down the sidewalk toward Southwest 3rd Avenue.

Afternoon shift:
On Monday’s afternoon shift, there were multiple calls of various fights/disturbances.

6:35 p.m.: A very intoxicated/high subject was contacted at the corner of Southwest 3rd avenue and Main Street. It appeared that 25-year-old Dylan K. Hunter, was acting in a confusing manner and was on probation for Delivery of a Controlled Substance/ Methamphetamine. He was given a citation and transported to Hooper Detox.

6:45 p.m.: A sergeant took a phone call from a “donor” of two food boxes to Occupy and he wanted to complain that when they dropped off the food, he and his friend saw “buckets of human waste” sitting around the camp. This was very disturbing to the donor and his friend.

7:56 p.m.: Uniform officers responded to a call of a man causing a disturbance near the medical tent of “Camp A” (Lownsdale park). He was reportedly throwing things and knocking down fences. He was wandering around the Veterans Memorial, which is located in the center of the park.

Officers observed 35-year-old Devn Merner acting in a bizarre manner. He had red paint on his feet and torso. Occupy Portland peacekeepers were trying to talk to him while he displayed “fighting poses,” but he refused their contact. Officers requested Project Respond to assist with this contact.

9:30 p.m.: Officers responded to a call regarding “5 subjects beating another subject,” in the center of Chapman Square, by the drinking fountain. Officers could not find any victim or suspect and overheard people say everyone “ran off.” Within a minute or two, district officers received another call of a fight at 3rd Avenue and Yamhill, similar to the one from the park. It appeared related, with the suspects chasing the victim through the blocks. As officers arrived, they were told by witnesses that the group was chasing the victim down Southwest 4th Avenue toward Burnside Street. It was reported as many as “15 street kids with skateboards” were chasing a shirtless subject.

11:59 p.m: A known subject, walked into Central Precinct to report an “assault.” He reported someone had pointed a finger at him, and that was the assault. He made several alleged assault reports during this event. The subject returned 10 minutes later to report a “riot” at Occupy Portland. There was no riot in progress. The subject was told to leave, but initially refused.'

The key reason for the change, the poll found, was Democrats’ waning support: Even though they remain more favorable to the law than Republicans and Independents, the proportion of Democrats with favorable views has decreased from about two-thirds to just 52 percent in October.

The poor polling numbers all but ensure that the law will be a handicap for many Democrats — and the president himself — going into the 2012 election. They also suggest that Republicans’ constant hammering at the law has been effective: Only 18 percent of respondents now expect that they and their families will be better off thanks to the law, down from 27 percent just last month.'"

Who would have thunk it? A Muslim leaking sensitive intel. "I met Mohamed Elibiary at the America's Truth Forum Symposium in Dallas a few years ago. Elibiary was then the President and CEO of the Freedom and Justice Foundation, which he cofounded in 2002 to 'promote a Centrist Public Policy environment in Texas by coordinating the state level government and interfaith community relations for the organized Texas Muslim community.' He is a prominent 'moderate,' but he spoke at a 2004 conference in Dallas lauding the 'Great Islamic Visionary' Ayatollah Khomeini. Subsequently, he had acrimonious discussions with Dallas Morning News columnist Rod Dreher, to whom he issued what looked to many, including Dreher himself, like a threat.

Despite all that and more, he was named to the Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council. But now he is in a bit of hot water over shopping around highly sensitive intelligence documents to try to get the media in Texas to do a story about 'Islamophobia' in the Texas Department of Public Safety. And Pamela Geller asks the salient question: 'Who else is the devout Elibiary shopping sensitive intel to?' This is, after all, a man who once offered to give me Hamas top dog Khaled Meshaal's email address.

'BREAKING: Homeland Security Adviser Allegedly Leaked Intel to Attack Rick Perry,' by Patrick Poole at PJ Media, October 26 (thanks to Pamela Geller):


'Texas Department of Public Safety officials are asking questions following a report that Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council member Mohamed Elibiary may have been given access to a sensitive database of state and local intelligence reports, and then allegedly shopped some of those materials to a media outlet. He allegedly used the documents to claim the department was promoting “Islamophobia” — claims that the media outlet ultimately rejected. They declined to do the story.

Earlier today, I received confirmation from a left-leaning media outlet that Elibiary had recently approached them asking to do a story attacking Texas DPS:



"Yes, he approached us and gave us some reports marked FOUO [For Official Use Only] that he said showed a pattern of Islamophobia at the department. He emphasized that some of the regional fusion centers were shut down a few years ago after the ACLU complained that they were targeting Muslim civil rights groups and said that this was being directed by [Texas Gov.] Rick Perry.

We looked at the reports and they weren’t as he had billed them to us. They seem to be pretty straightforward, nothing remotely resembling Islamophobia that we saw. I think he was hoping we would bite and not give it too much of a look in light of the other media outfits jumping on the Islamophobia bandwagon."



I asked if there was any sense of his possible motivation:



"Oh, self-promotion definitely. It was clear up front that he wanted to be a quoted source in the story. We’ve used him as an unnamed source in previous stories. There’s nothing unusual or unseemly about that because officials do it all the time, but this was the first time he approached us with documents. Honestly, if they had been what he represented them as we would have probably run with the story. But we looked at them and saw this was a partisan hatchet job that could blow back on us so we passed on it."



In light of these allegations, I spoke today with Texas DPS Director Steve McCraw. He confirmed that Elibiary has access to the Homeland Security State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest (HS SLIC) database, which contains hundreds of thousands of intelligence reports and products that are intended for intelligence sharing between law enforcement agencies....

I asked Director McCraw if he knew whether Elibiary had access to TX DPS reports on the HS SLIC, to which he replied:



"We know that he has accessed DPS documents and downloaded them."



McCraw stated that he will be requesting that DHS conduct an investigation to determine whether or not Elibiary improperly handled any sensitive intelligence products, and said that he will reserve judgment until an investigation is complete. He added:



"If in fact this happened we will be extremely disappointed in him. We’ve worked with him and other groups to get their comments regarding a wide range of issue in order to be inclusive."'


Ah, inclusiveness -- what could be more important?

Oh, and about Elibiary: I tried to tell you. I emailed him asking him for comment and if I hear back from him, you will be the first to know."

Making Demands of the Infidels

You more than likely have heard or read about Muslims in America demanding that public places install Muslim footbaths so the devout followers of Mohammed can properly cleanse their feet before prayer.

There is one major problem with this demand. Lebanese-born Brigitte Gabriel said the following: "I lived in the Middle East for the first 24 years of my live. Never once did I see any foot-washing basins in airports or public buildings. So why are they pushing them down the throats of Americans?"

This leads us to believe that the issue is not footbaths, but Muslims' attempts to manipulate infidels by trying to see how much they can get away with. How about we wake up in this country and show them that they can't get away with pulling anything over us. No special rights for Muslims, period!! If you choose to come to our country, you adapt to our way of life. If not, then stay home. We all know that our politicians would never have the guts to do as I suggested, and that is why we find ourselves in the mess we are currently in.

In the meantime, University of Toledo students are the latest to be demanding the controversial Islamic footbaths.

'When Omar Subei would perform wudu, the Islamic cleansing ritual before praying, he often felt uncomfortable when other people would walk into a public bathroom on and see him putting his foot over the sink.

"You have to raise your foot and put it on the sink and as you're taking your foot off the sink, your leg is dripping water," Subei said, a senior majoring in biochemistry.

Wudu involves an individual washing their hands, feet and face before engaging in prayer. They must perform the ritual one of the five times they pray during the day.

Subei said Muslims felt this was disrespectful to non-Muslims and the watery mess left over on the sinks would leave a bad impression on how non-Muslims saw them.

To solve this, Subei and other Muslims have been looking to install a small sink that would allow them to perform wudu cleanly.

Legislation was passed by Student Government to install the new sinks on the third floor of the Student Union near the Muslim Prayer room Tuesday.

The legislation states that two small sinks with drains at the bottom would be installed in both the men and women's restrooms. It calls for construction during winter break with the sinks completed by spring 2011.

Student Government President Matt Rubin said he was working with Tom Trimble, former director of the Student Union, to install these sinks.

"We noticed that paper towels were always running out and still [are]," Rubin said regarding the bathrooms on the third floor of the Student Union.

An extra dispenser was installed, but Rubin said this still was not accommodating.

"We've been asking so many questions about it and trying to find out what to do. We worked with Tom Trimble last fall to try to find ways to do it but there wasn't enough money," Rubin said.

Subei is not sure how much the project costs, but said he is first trying to get the plan finalized before costs are calculated.

Subei said this is something Muslim students have been wanting for a long time.'"


Did you catch the key sentence: "They must perform the ritual one of the five times they pray during the day."

If that is the case, then how about they cleanse their feet at home prior to morning prayers or in the evening prior to their last prayer time?

It's Wintertime in the Arab World

The majority of Americans are clueless as to what is taking place in the Middle East. Oh, on occasion, they may hear a few words here and there from the American Pravda regarding the wonders of the glorious "Arab Spring". But, most have no idea that President Obama has ushered in the beginnings of an Islamic caliphate. In fact, Obama receives high ratings on foreign policy, thanks to the killings of bin Laden, al Awlaki, and most recently Ghaddafi. Yet, the Muslim world is on fire, and Obama has added the fuel to which the fire has spread and intensified.

The Sinai already has become a sanctuary for terrorists and a staging ground for attacks on Israeli cities. Since the overthrow of strongman Hosni Mubarak, rampaging Muslim mobs have murdered numerous Coptic Egyptians and destroyed Christian churches. More than 100,000 Christian Copts have been expelled — an act of deliberate religious cleansing. About 8 million Copts are left in Egypt. The Brotherhood views them as a "threat" to the “Egyptian nation.” The country could be on the verge of religious and civil war, yet Mr. Obama is shamefully silent about the anti-Christian pogrom taking place.

In Libya, Mr. Obama supported the rebel movement. Col. Moammar Gadhafi lived by the gun; he died by the gun. Gadhafi was a brutal dictator whose bizarre regime turned Libya into a giant prison. No one should shed a tear for that butcher — especially considering his involvement in the 1988 terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which claimed the lives of 270 people, including many Americans.

The question, however, is what comes after Gadhafi? Because of Mr. Obama’s policies, NATO has armed, trained and financed the creation of an Islamist Libya. Jihadists fill the ranks of the rebels. Many of them were in Iraq and Afghanistan, killing and maiming U.S. soldiers. There are even al Qaeda members among them. Islamic fighters have raided Gadhafi’s military stockpiles and stolen more than 20,000 surface-to-air missiles. Some have found their way into the hands of Hamas; others may be used to shoot down American commercial airliners.

Tripoli’s interim government, the one the administration keeps telling us is “moderate” and “pro-democracy,” has just announced that Libya will be governed strictly by Shariah law. It has legalized Muslim polygamy. It has banned charging interest on loans, forcing banks to be Shariah-compliant. The rebels openly acknowledge that their ideological soul mates are members of the Muslim Brotherhood, not America’s Founding Fathers. Contrary to Mr. Obama’s spin, George Washington has not crossed the Mediterranean. Instead, the Prophet Muhammad has — paid for by U.S. taxpayers and backed by U.S. bombs. The Muslim crescent is on the march.

Still, Mr. Obama’s greatest failure is Iraq. He has ordered all U.S. troops to be withdrawn from that country by the end of the year — except for about 150 soldiers to protect our huge embassy in Baghdad. He is hailing the decision as a fulfillment of his 2008 campaign pledge. It is a betrayal of the more than 4,400 Americans who died in the war as well as the tens of thousands maimed and crippled. A power vacuum will result with Iraq falling under Iran’s sphere of influence. Tehran seeks a Shiite vassal state. It is meddling in internal Iraqi affairs. Iraq is splintering along religious and ethnic lines. Iraqi Christians have been decimated by Islamist insurgents. Iran’s mullahs are on the verge of exporting their radical Shiite revolution — even at the risk of inflaming Iraq’s Sunnis and Kurds. Americans did not bleed to benefit Iran’s fascist theocracy. They fought — and died — to establish a pro-Western Iraq.'

Many Americans are unable to afford to pay college expenses for their own children. Now, our president expects us to be stuck with the bill for other people's children. Somehow, that doesn't sound fair to me.

President Cloward-Piven’s Latest Move Will Stiff Taxpayers and Add Billions to US Debt

"Obama’s plan to bailout student loan recipients is his latest attempt to buy votes at the expense of the American taxpayer. It also happens to be the latest move in his Cloward Piven strategy to destroy the US economy.

Obama announced a new plan today that will add billions to his record debt and erode the US economy by giving free money to students who borrowed their way through college.
FOX News reported:


'In keeping with his new campaign theme of “we can’t wait,” President Obama today will roll out a plan to put more money in the pockets of some of the nation’s 36 million student loan recipients.

Obama has broad latitude in this area – certainly broader than the first two parts of his western campaign trip, underwater mortgages and subsidies for hiring veterans – because one of his early legislative initiatives was to have the federal government take over the student lending business in America.

Obama argued for the measure in 2009 as a cost-savings initiative, saying that the old system of privately issued, government secured loans reduced the amount of available money for needy students and also prevented the feds from making the system more efficient.

But Obama is now seeking to use that new power to obtain a taxpayer-financed stimulus that Congress won’t approve. The idea is to cap student loan repayment rates at 10 percent of a debtor’s income that goes above the poverty line, and then limiting the life of a loan to 20 years.

Take this example: If Suzy Creamcheese gets into George Washington University and borrows from the government the requisite $212,000 to obtain an undergraduate degree, her repayment schedule will be based on what she earns. If Suzy opts to heed the president’s call for public service, and takes a job as a city social worker earning $25,000, her payments would be limited to $1,411 a year after the $10,890 of poverty-level income is subtracted from her total exposure.

Twenty years at that rate would have taxpayers recoup only $28,220 of their $212,000 loan to Suzy.

The president will also allow student debtors to refinance and consolidate loans on more favorable terms, further decreasing the payoff for taxpayers.

Obama’s move comes at a moment when many economists are warning of a college debt bubble that is distorting college tuition rates and threatening to further damage credit markets. The president’s move is intended to make college more affordable for more people, which will, in turn allow universities to jack up their rates.'


Remember: This is the same guy who likes to lecture about 'living within our means.'"

The War on the Medical Profession

Liberalism -- a sure prescription for the destruction of a nation.

The more we hear about ObamaCare, or perhaps I should call it the "let grandma die healthcare plan", the more dreadful it sounds, especially for the elderly. We all have loved ones who fall into that category, and when they get ill, we want them to have the best medical care available. Well, it will no longer be available, thanks to the libs.

Under Obama's new plan, doctors will be fewer in number because ObamaCare will be running them out of their profession. Why invest all those years and all that money in medical school when a doctor's wages will be cut drastically? It won't be worth it. Add the lower number of physicians available to the additional patients seeking medical care, and we have a recipe for disaster.

"The worst fears about Obamacare are now being realized in a decision on Monday by the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MPAC) established by the law to supervise $500 billion in Medicare cuts. MPAC, whose decisions have the force of law, has voted to impose drastic pay cuts on all doctors under Medicare and, by extension, under Medicaid (which tends to follow suit). The cuts will effectively reduce the real pay for specialists by 50% over the next ten years --- including a 25% reduction over the next three years -- and cut general practitioners' pay by one-third over ten years (and that assumes that inflation stays down at 3% a year). MPAC has ruled that specialists must accept a 6% cut in their fees per year for each of the next three years followed by a seven year freeze in their fees without any adjustment for inflation. If inflation stays very low -- at 3% per year -- this cut amounts to an 18% cut in nominal pay and a 50% cut in real pay for specialists. General practitioners will face a ten year freeze on their pay, reducing their real compensation by one-third assuming ongoing low inflation. Higher inflation, of course, would make the cuts in real pay even more drastic.

The consequences of the MPAC decision will be immediate and drastic:
* Many physicians, and many more specialists, will refuse to treat Medicare patients. It will become very, very difficult to see a cardiologist or an oncologist or a gastroenterologist or OB-GYN specialist if you are on Medicare unless you are willing to pay out of pocket or have the kind of health insurance coverage from a private source that would reimburse for their care.

* More and more medical care will be turned over to nurses or physician assistants, and fewer people will ever get to see a doctor on Medicare.

* Private health insurers will follow in the footsteps of the Medicare program and likely slash their fees as well.

* Fewer students will enter medicine, and a major shortage of doctors will reduce the quality of medical care in America drastically.

The MPAC cuts will bring American doctors' incomes more into line with European doctors who typically earn half or less of what their American counterparts earn -- and deliver worse medical care as a result.

We have got to stop these MPAC cuts from taking effect. The very future of Medicare and of our entire health care system is at stake. If they are allowed to stand, Medicare will become akin to Medicaid or public housing -- a program for poor people who cannot afford to pay for medical care from specialists outside the system.

Please take a moment to sign the attached petition asking Congress to overrule the MPAC decision. Providing quality medical care and preserving the Medicare program is something that can reach Republicans and survival-minded Democrats, but we need to raise a storm of protest!"

UPDATE: Saudi Cleric Offers Reward for Kidnapping Israeli Soldier

Those Saudis! Such great friends to the West. We are led to believe that Saudi Arabia is a moderate Muslim nation when nothing could be further from the truth. Saudi Arabia is funding Middle Eastern departments in our universities with hateful propaganda, much of it anti-Semitic and anti-American in nature. The oil-rich nation is also filling America mosques with pro-jihad speech.

Now, a Saudi cleric is offering a large sum of money to anyone who will kidnap an Israeli soldier. The Palestinians made out like fat rats on the last prisoner swap with Israel, and some Israelis are offering rewards to those who would kill some of the Palestinian savages who were recently released from Israeli prisons.

However, this is comparing apples to oranges. Many of these Palestinians were blood-thirsty killers of innocent civilians, yet they are compared to an Israeli soldier doing his job to secure his nation and its civilians.

I ask you: what is a Muslim doing at a Catholic university anyway? And why on earth should the Catholic university be forced to remove Christian symbols just to accommodate the wishes of any Muslim?

Time after time, we read about Muslims demanding special rights because they are either offended or they want us, in Christian America, to give them special privileges based on the demands of their cult-like faith.

As I've said so many times before, we never hear a peep out of the Hindus or Buddhists living in America. Certainly, they have some religious customs which they would like honored. It's only the Muslims and the atheists who are always the whiners.

Enough is enough! Someone needs to stand up and tell them NO, NO, and a thousand times NO. If they aren't happy with America, they are always free to return to their country of origin. We will be quite content without their presence and their arrogant demands.

Muslim students at Catholic University of America complain that Christian symbols make them uncomfortable when they pray in empty classrooms

"Crucifixes? At a Catholic university? How about that.

Of course, at the heart of this complaint is the hope of establishing a Muslim prayer space on the campus that would be subject to different standards than the rest of the university -- a little enclave of Islamic law where its ban on the display of crosses would be 'respected.'

It is mentioned below that Muslim students say they like CUA because they feel 'safe' and 'comfortable.' They are receiving the benefits of what Catholics have built at CUA, but are expecting more. They want to bend the institution to their own purposes for their own 'comfort.'

They think it's a fine place, if it just weren't so, you know, Catholic, and therefore un-Islamic. 'University Accused of Discriminating Against Muslims,' from CUA's The Tower, October 20 (thanks to B.):


'New charges have recently been filed against the University on counts of illegal discrimination against its Muslim and female students. The allegations are being reviewed by the District of Colombia Office of Human Rights (OHR), which has the strictest discrimination laws in the country. President John H. Garvey and the University is being urged to respond to the charges.

John F. Banzhaf III, the George Washington University Professor of Public Interest Law who initiated the legal controversy surrounding same-sex residence halls, is also the one behind these new charges.'

'The official allegations claim that CUA, “does not provide space – as other universities do – for the many daily prayers Muslim students must make, forcing them instead to find temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Catholic symbols which are incongruous to their religion,” according to a press release on PRLOG.com.

This formal complaint also maintains that the new same-sex residence halls are particularly discriminating against female students, which is a new position on the same-sex lawsuit that began last month.'


For both aspects of the complaint: it's a Catholic university, a private institution. No one is being forced to attend it. On the other hand, its very nature and identity puts a giant target on it for social engineering.


'Banzhaf claims that the University is denying Muslim students the same benefits that students of other religions are able to enjoy since there is no formal Muslim association sponsored by Catholic University but the Columbus School of Law has an association for Jewish students.

“Denying Muslim students the opportunity for form a student group on campus could hardly be based upon any fundamental Catholic doctrine since Georgetown University not only has such a Muslim student group, but also provides its Muslim students with a separate prayer room and even a Muslim chaplain,” said Banzhaf in that press release.

“An important reason [that Muslims are gravitating towards Catholic universities] is that the Muslim students, especially those who are observant, feel comfortable and safe at the institution,” said President Garvey in an interview with NPR in December of 2010. “It’s a place where their own faith practices are mirrored by our own. And they feel both welcome and understood at the campus.”'

'“Even though it’s a Catholic school, a lot of its teachings are very similar to Islam,” said Al Salmi. “It teaches respect, community service, love, worship etc. which are things that Islam also teaches.”

The discrimination charge asserts that although OHR has been investigating alleged discrimination on campus since Banzhaf’s lawsuit began, “neither the President nor anyone else speaking for the University has sought to explain to the public, or even to CUA’s own students, why it believes that its discrimination does not violate the Human Rights Act.”

“As University spokesman, I have repeatedly explained to anyone who has asked me, including the media, that we reject the premise of Banzhaf’s argument, namely that single-sex residence halls are discriminatory,” said Victor Nakas, University Vice President of Public Affairs. “And we also reject his assumption that the Human Rights Act requires residence halls to be co-ed.”'


That does a fine job of illustrating the mindset at work here. Rules and standards are hate and discrimination.


'As these charges are being considered by the Office of Human Rights, the University administration said they will continue to work towards the betterment of its students.

“Catholic University is committed to the religious freedom and dignity of all members of its community,” said Nakas. “This includes the dozens of Muslims who come to the University for its academic excellence as well as its demonstrated history of outreach and dialogue to people of all faiths.”'"

"The US State Department is spending more than $70,000 on books authored by Barack Obama. The officials are sending the books out for Christmas gratuities and for stocking 'key libraries' around the world.
The Washington Times reported:


'The State Department has bought more than $70,000 worth of books authored by President Obama, sending out copies as Christmas gratuities and stocking “key libraries” around the world with “Dreams from My Father” more than a decade after its release.

The U.S. Embassy in Egypt, for instance, spent $28,636 in August 2009 for copies of Mr. Obama’s best-selling 1995 memoir. Six weeks earlier, the embassy had placed another order for the same book for more than $9,000, federal purchasing records show.

About the same time, halfway around the world, the U.S. Embassy in South Korea had the same idea and spent more than $6,000 for copies of “Dreams from My Father.”

One month later, the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, spent more than $3,800 for hardcover copies of the Indonesian version of Mr. Obama’s “The Audacity of Hope,” records show.

A review of the expenditures in a federal database did not reveal any examples of State Department purchases of books by former Presidents George W. Bush or Bill Clinton.'


These same books were recently banned from the US government’s most secure prison for objectionable content.


'The federal government’s most secure prison has determined that two books written by President Barack Obama contain material “potentially detrimental to national security” and rejected an inmate’s request to read them.

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali is serving a 30-year sentence at the federal supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, for joining al-Qaida and plotting to assassinate then-President George W. Bush. Last year, Abu Ali requested two books written by Obama: “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope.”

But prison officials, citing guidance from the FBI, determined that passages in both books contain information that could damage national security…

…Prison officials cite specific pages – but not specific passages – in the books that they deem objectionable. They include one page in Obama’s 1995 book, “Dreams from My Father,” and 22 separate pages in his policy-oriented 2006 book, “The Audacity of Hope.” It was not immediately obvious what passages might have been deemed problematic, though nearly half of the pages cited are in a chapter devoted to foreign affairs.'"

'Despite their support of the Occupy Wall Street movement, (who, unlike the Tea Party, believe government is the answer to our economic problems), Democrats have enjoyed large paychecks from the industry.

President Obama, former-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Congresswoman and chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), and Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) have all raised significant funds from Wall Street — and these numbers are just since 2008!

This information was pulled from OpenSecrets.org. They don’t quite tell the whole story, since Presidential donations are listed differently than other politicians. So the President’s funds are much higher. He’s actually raised $3.9 million just this year so far. But, he has raised nearly $12 million in Wall Street donations for the DNC. In total, that’s more than all the Republican Presidential candidates combined have received from Wall Street.

Yet President Obama supports the Occupy Wall Street Movement. He said that their protests were a reflection of a “broad-based frustration about how our financial system works.” He has also adopted the term “99%” when talking about raising taxes.

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has also spoken favorably for the protesters, saying “I support the message to the establishment, whether it’s Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest, that change has to happen.” Where was this support when the Tea Party was taking on the political establishment, hmm?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) parroted Pelosi by saying that these protests are “symbolic of the frustration that middle class folks and working people feel that the wealthy always seem to have the wind at their backs.” She went on to say that, “[w]e understand their frustration, we applaud their activism and hopefully they’re going to help get the Republicans in Washington’s attention so we shift the Republican’s focus from just Barack Obama’s job, to everyone’s job,”

Not surprisingly, Debbie Wasserman Schultz also denounced the Tea Party.

And finally, Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), who has raked in more from Wall Street than Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz combined. Just after announcing his support for Occupy Wall Street, Congressman Frank headed to a fundraiser — with Wall Street bankers. How’s that for hypocrisy? Of course, he had an answer for that, saying:

“If you take money from them, but you don’t vote [for] the things they want, how does that put you in conflict?”
