It makes me sick to my stomach to think that I once supported this scumbag. In fact, I voted for him in the 1980 primary, with great enthusiasm, I might add.
What a change Jesus came make in one's life. Prior to my life-changing encounter with Jesus, I was a wacky leftist and thought Ted Kennedy was the greatest. Sick! I know. Thank the Lord I saw the light.
No wonder his first wife, Joan, hit the bottle so much. Read about one of Ted's early escapades to South America and his "brothel rental". He was a real chip off the old block, just like Daddy and big brothers. Too bad Bill Clinton couldn't have been in attendance; he would have had so much fun.
From Atlas Shrugs:
Whore not Hero: The Traitor Files -- Teddy Kennedy
"Is it any wonder that we have a radical in the White House? I mean, seriously. The Democrat heroes of the left have for decades been the worst subversives in our nation's history, actively working against individual rights, capitalism, and basic Constitutional principles. Time and time again. Is it any wonder that we wound up in this current crisis, with an imposter at 1600 Pennsylavania Avenue? It's a wonder that it didn't happen sooner. We are in a chokehold, held hostage by the leftwing government's union armies.
What I want to know is, why were these traitors protected? Teddy was the tip of the poisonous spear. Time after time, year after year, decade after decde, their treason is/was covered up. Was there not one decent man or woman with integrity? One?
The Teddy Files: Even Worse Than You Thought! Powerline hat tip Rut
'After repeated attempts, Judicial Watch has managed to pry loose certain documents relating to Teddy Kennedy from the FBI. The FBI's original redactions plainly had nothing to do with national security, so the agency apparently was trying to protect Kennedy's reputation.
The most entertaining documents relate to a trip Kennedy took to Latin America in 1961. He visited a number of countries, accompanied by his "political counselor." In each country, Kennedy met with prominent Communists or other left-wing leaders. The U.S. Ambassador to Mexico was outraged that Kennedy wanted to bring such people to the embassy--this was the heart of the Cold War, after all--and he refused, telling Kennedy to arrange his own interviews somewhere else. A State Department official in Peru described Teddy as "pompous and a spoiled brat."
In Colombia, the first person Kennedy wanted to meet with was Lauchlin Currie, a Russian spy who served as a key aide to Franklin Roosevelt, then moved to Colombia and renounced his American citizenship.
By the time he got to Chile, Kennedy apparently was tired of political work, so he "made arrangements to 'rent' a brothel for an entire night" in Santiago. You can read the FBI reports. Here is one of them.
The year after his Latin American tour, Kennedy entered the United States Senate. It is quite remarkable: the Kennedy that emerges from the FBI reports sounds like a right-winger's cartoon fantasy of the man. However bad you thought Ted Kennedy was, he was worse!"

Four Children and Mother Killed
These stories will never end. How many times must I report about cases of Muslims persecuting Christians?
Here's another, via Jihad Watch:
Nigeria: Muslims storm Christian village, murder mother and her four children
"Will the Muslims who are protesting Peter King's hearings be so kind as to take a moment out of their busy schedule to condemn this also? And to show what they're doing within Muslim communities in the U.S. and elsewhere to teach against the attitudes that give rise to this? 'Attack kills four in central Nigeria: military,' from AFP, February 28 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):
JOS, Nigeria — 'An overnight attack has killed at least four people in tense central Nigeria, a region regularly hit by violence between Christian and Muslim ethnic groups, the military said Monday.
The pre-dawn attack occured in Dabwak, a mainly Christian village near the flashpoint city of Jos.
"There are four killed," Brigadier General Hassan Umaru, commander of a military unit deployed in the area, told AFP.
Locals said five people -- a mother and four children -- were shot and killed, blaming Fulani Muslims for the attack.
"It's the Fulanis that came shooting. They killed... my mother-in-law, three of my brothers-in-law and my sister-in-law," said a woman before breaking down on the phone and hanging up.
Umaru said "any attack in the fringes of this area is suspected to be by Fulanis." No arrests had been made....'"

Syrian Nukes?
Syria appears to be up to its old tricks. Where is the American Pravda in reporting that the Assad regime is building nukes? Isn't that worthy of our attention? Instead, they are spending all their time attacking Scott Walker while he tries to save Wisconsin from bankruptcy.
And what is our president doing to ensure the safety of Americans as the Middle East is on fire? Perhaps, he could meet with the brutal Assad and try to sweet talk him into giving up his weapons, like he wanted to do with Ahmadinejad. The only problem was that ole Mahmoud wanted no part of a little get-together with Obama.
Read from Spacewar:
Top US lawmaker sounds alarm over Syria nukes
"A top US lawmaker pressed President Barack Obama on Thursday to impose new sanctions on Syria after photographs emerged suggesting its secret nuclear program was broader than previously revealed.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said she was 'gravely concerned' after a Washington think tank published satellite photos that appeared to show Syrian efforts to conceal a second suspected nuclear site allegedly linked to a reactor bombed by Israel in 2007.
'Israel's destruction in 2007 of Syria's suspected uranium enrichment facility may have ended the immediate threat, but this new evidence indicates the regime has yet to abandon its nuclear goals,' said Ros-Lehtinen.
The photos acquired by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) indicate Syria tried to hide its nuclear activities after the air raid, and could lead the UN nuclear watchdog to step up demands for inspections.
Ros-Lehtinen said Obama 'should increase pressure on the Syrian regime' with new sanctions as provided for under US law and 'work with other responsible nations' to hammer out broader sanctions 'without delay.'
The lawmaker urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to insist on access to Syrian sites and said the watchdog should request a special inspection 'which Syria is obligated by treaty to allow.'
'It is dangerous that the administration continues to ignore Syria's threatening behavior and policies, and instead makes concessions to Damascus such as the recent appointment of a US ambassador,' she said.
The photos show heightened activity and the pouring of a concrete foundation around the site near Marj as Sultan, outside Damascus, shortly after a May 2008 request for inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
'The facility's operational status is unknown. However, there is suspicion that Syria may have emptied the buildings prior to mid-2008 and taken steps to disguise previous activities at the site,' the ISIS report said.
'Laying down a new foundation could be an attempt to defeat the environmental sampling that IAEA inspectors would likely carry out to see if uranium was present in the event of a visit to these suspect sites.'
Citing the IAEA and the German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung, ISIS said the Marj as Sultan facility was one of three sites that were 'functionally related' to the bombed reactor at Dair Alzour, in the east of the country.
The full report is online at www.isis-online.org
Syria has snubbed a request by the UN nuclear watchdog for prompt access to a number of sites, and could come under heightened scrutiny at the Vienna-based IAEA's meeting next month, diplomats told AFP last week.
Damascus granted UN inspectors one-off access to Dair Alzour in June 2008 but no follow-up visits there or access to the other allegedly related sites.
On the basis of that one visit, the IAEA has already said the building bore some of the characteristics of a nuclear facility.
UN inspectors also detected 'significant' traces of man-made uranium there, as yet unexplained by Damascus.
Syria has denied it is hindering the IAEA's work, and President Bashar al-Assad denied his country had pursued a nuclear program in an interview with the Wall Street Journal last month."

The Left at Its Best
The thugs are congregating in Wisconsin, and it's getting nasty. What a shame Barack Obama cannot join in with the crowd for which he would feel so comfortable. But, of course, he must sit back and play the role of the "centrist" president so as to win re-election in 2012.

You won't believe who's really behind Wisconsin protests
By Aaron Klein
"One of the main groups organizing the Wisconsin union protests is a spinoff from an activist academy modeled after Marxist community organizer Saul Alinsky and described as teaching tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation.
President Obama once funded that academy - the radical Midwest Academy. He has been closely tied to the group's founder, socialist activist Heather Booth.
Obama also is closely tied to scores of other radicals behind the Wisconsin opposition protesting Gov. Scott Walker's proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.
Walker's proposal reportedly would save $300 million in the next two years for a state that faces a financial crisis amid a $3.6 billion deficit..
A slew of radical groups and unions have been organizing the protests against Walker's proposal as well as counter protests to a recent tea party rally in support of the governor's plan.
Obama's own political machine has aided in organizing protests in Wisconsin
Counter protests were led in part by radical groups like Veterans for Peace, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, and the Workers World Party."

Christian Persecution in Kashmir
The "religion of peace" reveals its true colors once again.
From Weasel Zippers:
Kashmir: Islamic Militants Torch Christian School Over Rumor a Muslim Converted to Christianity…
"Dhimmitude isn’t pretty.
Srinagar (AsiaNews) — 'Suspected Islamic militants set fire on Feb. 19 to the School of the Convent of St. Luke, a Protestant educational institution that began its activities about 17 years ago in Srinagar, Kashmir. The damage is estimated at 60 million rupees (958 thousand euro). The attack occurred at about 22.30 local time. Eight rooms, including classrooms, library and computer labs were completely destroyed.
The school’s principal, Grace Paljor, said they are currently compiling an inventory of the damages, which are now calculated for 60 million rupees. She also claims to have been verbally threatened, several times, before the accident, for being Christian. The school has 450 students. At the time of the attack it was closed for the holidays and so there was no harm to people. The school will reopen on 1 March.
“The school administration is used to receiving threatening phone calls from time to time from extremists. They had threatened to set fire to the school, and have carried out their threat. After the Tyndale Biscoe was burned in August of 2010, the extremists have begun to target the Christian schools in the valley. We complained to the Munshi Bagh police station. ” Sources have told AsiaNews that the school has been targeted because of baseless rumours about a conversion.'"

"Laughing All the Way to the Bank"
This is insanity! Good Americans need to rise up and take our country back from the enemies in Washington who do not have our best interests in mind. Do they not understand that we are flat broke?
We certainly have no money to be funding mosques in the Middle East. Nor should we, even if we did have the funds. Mosques are not exactly houses promoting love and peace. No wonder our Islamic enemies are so confident of victory. They couldn't possibly have a more naive enemy than they have with American politicians.

Indoctrination of the Military Begins
The re-education of our military is about to begin as our troops get indoctrinated on acceptance of a homosexual lifestyle. Anyone who stands up for Biblical principles will pay the price in an Obama military.
Interestingly, I just found out that my husband's boss's daughter who is serving in the Navy has a lesbian roommate who has come on to her three different times. The "girl" will not take "no" for an answer. But, in this age of political correctness, the heterosexual girl is afraid to complain because she may be labeled "difficult to work with". Can you imagine rooming with someone of the same sex and having to worry about her lusting after you? Welcome to an Obama nation.

Combat troops to get gay sensitivity training
New policy OK’d for battlefield
By Rowan Scarborough
"American combat troops will get sensitivity training directly on the battlefield about the military’s new policy on gays instead of waiting until they return to home base in the United States, the senior enlisted man in Afghanistan said Thursday.
The Pentagon is launching an extensive force-wide program to ease the process of integrating open homosexuals into the ranks, including into close-knit fighting units.
Army Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill, the top enlisted man in Afghanistan where 100,000 U.S. troops are deployed, said that the sessions on respecting gays’ rights will go right down to the forward operating bases, where troops fight Taliban militants.
'I have heard about the training that will be forthcoming to the battlefield,' Sgt. Hill told Pentagon reporters via a teleconference from Kabul.
'We will take our directions from the Department of Defense, from the secretary of defense, the chairman, as well as the service chiefs of each service. Our plan is to take their direction, and we’re going to execute that training right here on the battlefield.'
No unit is exempted, he said.
'Our goal is to not allow a unit to return to home station and have the unit responsible for that,' he said. 'While we own those soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, we’re going to execute that training on the ground. We hope that it will have little impact on their combat and security operations here.'
President Obama signed a bill in December to repeal the ban, called 'don’t ask, don’t tell,' which required gay troops to hide their sexuality. However, the ban will stay in effect until the secretary of defense certifies that repeal of the policy will not hurt combat readiness.
Elaine Donnelly, who heads the Center for Military Readiness, said it is 'ridiculous' to train combat Army soldiers and Marines as they are engage in daily combat with tenacious insurgents.
'It’s absurd because the military has more important things to think about in that dangerous part of the world,' she said. 'For the administration to say this is more important than even with the troops we’re trying to train in that part of the world, I think it shows flawed priorities at best. It is ridiculous.'
Sgt. Hill is an outspoken proponent of ending the ban.
'If there are people who cannot deal with the change, then they’re going to have to do what’s best for their troops and best for the organization and best for the military service and exit the military service, so that we can move forward - if that’s the way that we have to go,' Sgt. Hill said on the television show, 'Washington Watch' in December.
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates has ordered a detailed training regime to make sure both sides, homosexuals and heterosexuals, treat each other with respect. He has said gays will be able to declare their sexual preference openly before end of the year.
The training is broken down into three tiers. The first tier is for specialists like chaplains, lawyers and investigators. The second is for commanders in the field. The third is for the force at large, 2.2 million active and reserve troops.
The Pentagon‘s Repeal Implementation team is leading the whole process.
'Professionalism is the expectation across all the services,' Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Steven Hummer, the team’s chief of staff, told the Pentagon‘s news service.
'This is a disciplined force, and we expect to see that as the training and repeal go into place. Lastly, respect is what everybody expects to receive and what everybody should give.'"
What about the respect for the young Navy heterosexual girl I mentioned early? Does she not deserve to have privacy in her room without worrying about a lesbian roommate approaching her for gay sex?

America Cannot Afford Barack Obama
President Obama's contribution to our economic woes comes at a high cost.
From the American Thinker:
Stim bill jobs cost at least $228,055 - each.
Ed Lasky
"Question: at what point does major media lose all of its credibility?
CNS News reports on the cost of each job 'created and saved' by the stimulus act:
'The jobs created and saved by the economic stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed on Feb. 17, 2009 cost at a minimum an average of $228,055 each, according to data released yesterday by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
In a report released Wednesday-'Estimated Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act on Employment and Economic Output from October Through December 2010'-the CBO said it now estimates the stimulus law cost a total of $821 billion, up from CBO's original estimate that the stimulus would cost $787 billion.'
Moreover that is the minimum cost per job 'created or saved' that the CBO estimates the stimulus act was worth. Using other estimates regarding the number of jobs created from the massive expenditures made under the stimulus act, the jobs would each cost $586,428.
If a Republican President had engaged in this mind-boggling boondoggle the lamestream media would have lambasted the Republican Party for its wasteful use of taxpayer (and debt-financed) money. There would have been talk of how our childrens' futures have been put in hock by this misnamed and misguided 'stimulus'.
But instead we have...silence."

God Bless Bob McDonnell
The libs will be fuming! Unions are under attack for ripping off taxpayers and now abortion clinics may be forced to close in Virginia.
Liberals like nothing better than to have the right to kill their offspring. How much can the Left endure at one time? I sure hope that Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has a strong security team.
Read from Weasel Zippers:
Virginia Passes Bill That Will Close an Estimated 17 of State’s 21 Abortion Clinics…
"Great news!
Richmond, Va. (AP) — 'Virginia took a big step Thursday toward eliminating most of the state’s 21 abortion clinics, approving a bill that would likely make rules so strict the medical centers would be forced to close, Democrats and abortion rights supporters said.
Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican and Catholic, supports the measure and when he signs it into law, Virginia will become the first state to require clinics that provide first-trimester abortions to meet the same standards as hospitals. The requirement could include anything from expensive structural changes like widening hallways to increased training and mandatory equipment the clinics currently don’t have.
While abortion providers must be licensed in Virginia, the clinics resemble dentists’ offices and are considered physicians offices, similar to those that provide plastic and corrective eye surgeries, colonoscopies and a host of other medical procedures.
Democrats and abortion rights supporters said the change would put an estimated 17 of the state’s 21 clinics out of business. Most of the clinics also provide birth control, cancer screenings and other women’s health services.'"

Israel Still Has One Friend
Could America please trade Obama for the brave Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper? I love this guy for his stand on behalf of Israel. Canada will be blessed because of this man as America is cursed because of Obama's antagonism toward Israel.

Meet the Young Marxist from Occidental
Read about the young revolutionary who sits in the White House from someone who once knew him during his college years. Interesting stuff!
From the American Thinker:
Meeting Young Obama
By John Drew
"My first meeting with young Barack Obama raised strong feelings and left me with a positive first impression. At the time, I felt I'd persuaded a young man anticipating a Marxist-Leninist revolution to appreciate the more practical alternative of conventional politics as a channel for his socialist views.
I met Obama in December of 1980, a couple of days after Christmas, in Portola Valley -- a small town near Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. I was a 23 year old second-year graduate student in Cornell's Government Department, and had flown to California to visit a 21 year old girlfriend, Caroline Boss. Boss was a senior at Occidental College, where she had taken a class in the fall of 1980 with political theorist Roger Boesche. She met and befriended Obama in that class.
I had been an angry Marxist revolutionary during my undergraduate career at Occidental College. During my hyperactive sophomore year, in the fall of 1976, I founded the Marxist-Socialist group on campus and named it the Political Awareness Fellowship. As I recall, I developed this innocuous sounding name because there were so few students on campus as radical as I, and I was fearful of turning off moderate students who might be willing to learn more about Marxist theory.
[...]
My relationship with Boss continued through the summer of 1979 and the academic year 1979-1980. She spent the summer of 1980 with me at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. When Boss returned to Occidental in the fall of 1980 for her senior year, she enrolled in Professor Roger Boesche's European Political Thought class. It was there that she met Barack Obama who was starting his sophomore year.
When I first saw Obama, I remember I was standing on the porch of Boss's parents' impressive home as a sleek, expensive luxury car pulled up the driveway. Two young men emerged from the vehicle. They were well-dressed and looked like they were born to wealth and privilege. I was a little surprised to learn they were Boss's friends from Occidental College until she articulated the underlying0 political connection. 'They're on our side,' she said.
The taller of the two was Obama, then only 19, who towered over his five-foot-five companion, Mohammed Hasan Chandoo - a wealthy, 21 year old Pakistani student. Chandoo had a full dark black, neatly trimmed moustache, and was dressed in expensive clothes. Nevertheless, Obama was the more handsome of the two. At six foot two, Obama carried himself with the dignity and poise of a model. The diminutive Chandoo, in contrast, came across as more of a practical, businessman type. Obama displayed a visible deference to Chandoo when they were standing together at the vehicle.
Chandoo was vaguely familiar to me as a participant in the earlier anti-apartheid rallies on the Occidental College campus. In David Remnick's book, The Bridge, Chandoo's bona fides as a committed Marxist were well-known to those close to him. Chandoo's girlfriend at the time, Margot Mifflin, told Remnick that '[I]n college, Hasan was a socialist, a Marxist, which is funny since he is from a wealthy family.' (See, Remnick, David, The Bridge, Alfred A, Knopf, 2010, page 104.) Young Obama, on the other hand, was completely new to me.
'This is Barack Obama,' Boss said.
Since I was not much taller than Chandoo, I remember I looked up at Obama as we shook hands. I was completely mystified by the pronunciation of his name. He did not put up a fight over it, however.
'You can call me Barry,' Obama said.
During the introduction, Boss and Chandoo were eager to let me know that Obama was a graduate of the prestigious Punahou Academy, an elite prep school in Honolulu. I vividly remember that Chandoo was intensely proud of Obama's ties to Punahou. This prestige, however, was wasted on me. I had never heard of the school and did not have a clue about what it meant to be one of its graduates. Obama seemed embarrassed by the fuss. Boss, I remember, wanted to make sure I understood that young Obama was not merely an attractive socialite dabbling in Marxist theory. 'You've worked with us,' she observed. 'You've been at our DSA meetings. You've been active in the anti-apartheid movement.'
[...]
My graduate studies that fall had tempered my earlier Marxism with a more realistic perspective. I thought a revolution was not in the cards anymore. There was no inevitability, in my mind, to the old idea that the proletariat would rise up and overthrow the ruling classes. Now, the idea that we could entirely eliminate the profit motive from an advanced industrialized economy seemed like a childhood fantasy. The future, I now thought, would belong to nations with mixed economic systems -- like those in Europe -- where there was government planning of the economy combined with a greater effort to produce a more equitable distribution of wealth. It made more sense to me to focus on elections rather than on preparing for a coming revolution.
Boss and Obama, however, had a starkly different view. They believed that the economic stresses of the Carter years meant revolution was still imminent. The election of Reagan was simply a minor set-back in terms of the coming revolution. As I recall, Obama repeatedly used the phrase 'When the revolution comes....' In my mind, I remember thinking that Obama was blindly sticking to the simple Marxist theory that had characterized my own views while I was an undergraduate at Occidental College. 'There's going to be a revolution,' Obama said, 'we need to be organized and grow the movement.' In Obama's view, our role must be to educate others so that we might usher in more quickly this inevitable revolution.
I know this may be implausible to some readers, but I distinctly remember Obama surprising me by bringing up Frantz Fanon and colonialism. He impressed me with his knowledge of these two topics, topics which were not among my strong points -- or of overwhelming concern to me. Boss and Obama seemed to think their ideological purity was a persuasive argument in predicting that a coming revolution would end capitalism. While I felt I was doing them a favor by providing them with the latest research, I saw I was in danger of being cast as a reactionary who did not grasp the nuances of international Marxist theory.
Chandoo let Boss and Obama take the crux of the argument to me. Chandoo, in fact, seemed chagrined by the level of disagreement in the group. I cannot remember him making any significant comments during this discussion.
Drawing on the history of Western Europe, I responded it was unrealistic to think the working class would ever overthrow the capitalist system. As I recall, Obama reacted negatively to my critique, saying: 'That's crazy!'
Since Boss and Obama had injected theory into our debate, I reacted by going historical. As best I can recreate the argument, I responded by critiquing their perspective with the fresh insight I had gained from my recent reading of Barrington Moore's book, Social Origins of Dictatorship and Democracy (1966). Moore had argued that a Russian or Chinese style revolution -- leading to communism -- was only possible in an agrarian society with a weak or non-existent middle-class or bourgeoisie.
Since I was a Marxist myself at the time, and had studied variations in Marxist theory, I can state that everything I heard Obama argue that evening was consistent with Marxist philosophy, including the ideas that class struggle was leading to an inevitable revolution and that an elite group of revolutionaries was needed to lead the effort. If he had not been a true Marxist-Leninist, I would have noticed and remembered. I can still, with some degree of ideological precision, identify which students at Occidental College were radicals and which ones were not. I can do the same thing for the Occidental College professors at that time.
By the time the debate came to an end, Obama -- although not Boss -- was making peace, agreeing with the facts I had laid out, and demonstrating an apparent agreement with my more realistic perspective. I have a vivid memory of Obama surrendering to my argument including signaling to the somewhat bewildered Chandoo -- through his voice and body language -- that the argument had concluded and had been decided in my favor. Around 9 p.m., Chandoo and Obama left for another appointment, either in Palo Alto or San Francisco. In retrospect, Obama had proved to me that he was indeed, as Boss had promised, 'on our side.'
Long before I realized Obama had grown into a spectacular political career, I have treasured this particular memory as an early example of my own intellectual growth and an early sign of my modest promise as a teacher. At the time, I had the impression that I might have been one of the first to directly challenge Obama's Marxist-Leninist mind-set and to introduce him to a more practical view that saw politics, rather than revolution, as the preferred route to socialism. Had I really persuaded him, or was he just making nice to smooth things over with a new friend? I'd like to think it was the former.
Whatever progress I made with Obama that evening, the price of our debate was a greater ideological wedge between me and Boss and a further decline in our rocky relationship. Our relationship would officially end in February and then flicker out completely by June 1981 -- much to the satisfaction of Boss's father.
I remember that Obama was friendly to me on at least three other occasions over the next several months. For example, Boss and I visited the apartment he shared with Chandoo. I spoke with him again on campus in the student union. I saw him on campus in The Cooler -- the school's coffee and sandwich shop. I also spoke with him at large party in June 1981. I certainly considered him a friend, a confidant and a political ally in the larger struggle against poverty and oppressive social systems.
Whatever impact our encounter might have had on him, I know something about what Barack Obama believed in 1980. At that time, the future president was a doctrinaire Marxist revolutionary, although perhaps -- for the first time -- considering conventional politics as a more practical road to socialism. Knowing this, I think I have a responsibility to place on the public record my account of this incident from our president's past.

Silence Concerning Christian Persecution in Egypt
Somehow this doesn't remind me of a 1776 moment in America. The godless Left hates Christians and will NEVER stand in opposition to the genocide against Christians that is taking place in Muslim nations.

So much for religious freedom in Egypt
"In Egypt, the more things change, the more they stay the same in so many ways. Here's a video in which the Egyptian army kills Coptic monks by live ammunition while they demolish the walls of St.Bishoy monastery.
Let's go to the videotape.
Lisa Graas asks:
'Where is the media? Where is the President? Oh, he is busy talking about how ‘cautious’ he is going to be with Qaddafi.
Apparently for the President and America’s ‘mainstream media‘, the ‘important stuff’ is over in Tahrir Square. I hear the cries of these 7000 Copts protesting military attacks on monasteries in Tahrir Square and I ask my President, do they have a seat at the table? Or are they to be slaughtered like just so much meat that is ‘in the way’ of ‘democracy’?'

Obama's Friends' Friend
President Obama was eager to speak against Mubarak and throw his support for the Egyptian revolution. Yet, he has been rather silent concerning the genocide in Libya. Sure, he made a quick statement yesterday condemning the violence. However, he did not mention the villain Gadaffi even once.
Why not, especially since we are hearing from Gaddafi's former justice minister that Gadaffi personally ordered the Lockerbie attack which killed 270 people?

Obama's mystery links to Gadhafi uncovered
Prez fails to call for dictator's removal despite reports of attacks on citizens
"As pressure mounts on the White House to intervene to stop Moammar Gadhafi's bloody crackdown in Libya, many commentators have been wondering why Barack Obama has been cautious in his criticism of the dictator after the U.S. president so fervently supported the removal from office of U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.
But Gadhafi has been tied to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser for more than 23 years.
The Libyan dictator also has financed and strongly supported the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan. Obama has ties to Farrakhan and his controversial group.
So far, White House officials have called for an end to the violence but have seemingly ruled out any unilateral action in Libya. Despite Gadhafi's reported ordering of massacres that reportedly have killed hundreds of civilians in recent days, Obama hasn't called on Gadhafi to leave office.
Pressure has been mounting on Obama to take a tougher stand, with the chairmen of the House and Senate foreign relations committees calling on the White House to re-impose economic sanctions on Libya that were lifted in 2004.
But Obama has multiple close ties to activists who have had relationships with Gadhafi.
Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of Obama's longtime Chicago church, went with Farrakhan to visit Gadhafi in 1984.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, Wright himself noted the trip could cause problems for Obama.
'When [Obama's] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit [Gadhafi] with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.'
Farrakhan, a close friend and associate of Wright, has been financed by Gadhafi, including with a $5 million interest-free loan in 1985.
Later that year, Gadhafi spoke by satellite to Farrakhan's Saviour's Day Convention in Chicago, and reportedly told Farrakhan supporters he was prepared to provide weapons to a black army in the U.S. to destroy 'white America.'
In October 1995, Gadhafi reportedly called Farrakhan with congratulations on the success of the Million Man March. Gadhafi was said to have assured Farrakhan that together 'we will unite our capabilities and efforts to achieve this.'
According to reports in 1996 from Libya's news agency, JANA, Farrakhan and Gadhafi agreed to work together to mobilize 'oppressed blacks, Arabs, Muslims and Red Indians' to help reshape U.S. foreign policy.
Gadhafi said that until his alliance with the Nation of Islam, 'our confrontation with America was like a fight against a fortress from outside.'
He asserted his alliance with Farrakhan provides him with 'a breach to enter into this fortress and confront it.'
Farrakhan went to Libya for multiple other events. He was the recipient in 1996 of the Gadhafi Human Rights Award, which came with a $250,000 prize. Farrakhan accepted the prize despite U.S. sanctions on Libya.
Obama tied to Nation of Islam
Wright and Obama reportedly attended the Million Man March on Washington, which was led by Farrakhan and other prominent black leaders such as Al Sharpton.
Rev. Willie Barrow, a member of the Obama campaign's official Faith Outreach Team and an Obama superdelegate, is a close friend of Farrakhan's and a staunch Nation of Islam supporter.
Farrakhan stated in a 2002 interview he met with Barrow to devise his Nation of Islam platforms.
Marxist activist Cornel West, an adviser to Farrakhan, also had been an adviser to Obama’s 2008 campaign and is a close Obama associate and personal friend.
During the period of Obama's attendance at Wright's Trinity United Church, which practices controversial Black Liberation Theology ideology, the Chicago church was openly allied with Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.
Wright gave Farrakhan his 2007 Empowerment Award. Farrakhan delivered multiple guest lectures at the church.
Wright has been involved in Farrakhan initiatives and labeled him 'one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century' during a national address to the media in April at which Nation of Islam officials were invited guests.
Obama has appeared at least three times on the cover of Trumpet magazine, founded by Wright. The magazine, to which Obama last year granted a lengthy, exclusive interview, regularly hails Farrakhan.
Obama's face was featured on the cover of a 2006 issue of Trumpet alongside Farrakhan's image.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, a 2004 photo emerged of Obama's wife, Michelle, posing with Farrakhan and Obama adviser Barrow at a woman's luncheon for the Rainbow/Push Coalition for which Barrow serves as chairman emeritus.
In the picture with Michelle Obama is Khadijah Farrakhan, Louis Farrakhan's wife.
Another Obama connection to supporters of Farrakhan comes from David Axelrod, Obama's chief political strategist.
Although he is Jewish, Axelrod sits on the finance committee of St. Sabina, the Chicago Catholic parish that was led by controversial pastor Michael Pfleger, an outspoken Farrakhan supporter who hosted the Nation of Islam chief at his parish several times.
The Archdiocese of Chicago temporarily removed Pfleger from his duties at St. Sabina in 2008 following a well-publicized guest sermon at Trinity church in which Pfleger claimed Hillary Clinton cried in public because she thought being white entitled her to the Democratic presidential nomination.
Pfleger hosted Farrakhan at his church several times, including one May 2007 sermon that was Farrakhan's first public appearance since he announced in 2006 he had been suffering from prostate cancer and was seriously ill.
According to reports, Pfleger spent hours with the Nation of Islam chief during his illness. Pfleger previously enlisted Farrakhan's support for several of his initiatives, including an anti-gun protest in 2007."
Why not, especially since we are hearing from Gaddafi's former justice minister that Gadaffi personally ordered the Lockerbie attack which killed 270 people?

Cover-Up in Dearbornistan
I am horrified by the special status that Muslims receive in this nation, especially when it involves criminal behavior. This is America, not Riyadh.
Anyone with any knowledge of Islamic honor killings would not be surprised that Muslims in the Middle East would make excuses for such brutal behavior against women. But, a cover-up in America? This is beyond outrageous!!
Read what the American Pravda refuses to tell you, via Atlas Shrugs:
Lawsuit: "Honor Killings" Covered Up by City of Dearborn:
Demand a Special Investigation
"We have long suspected the cover-up of Islamic honor killings in America. I have tried for years to determine how many young Muslim girls died in the US, and under what circumstances. There is no central data bank with that sort of information. We know the media refuses to call it what it is; do we believe that law enforcement would? The Pentagon can't even say jihad when the subject of the investigation of the Fort Hood jihadi Hasan comes up.
The higher-ups in law enforcement and government are scrubbing the horrific crime of honor killing. How do they look their wives and daughters and sisters in the face at night? This points to the continued diminishment of women in the West by the introduction of Islamic cultural mores and practices. This egregious violation of public trust and American rule of law was exposed in the lawsuit filed by four Christians arrested in Michigan for passing out leaflets at an Arab Festival.
Covering up what should be a capital crime demands a special investigation, not just in Michigan, but nationwide. This is happening everywhere -- stealth sharia enforcement.

Lawsuit: 'Honor killings' OK by Michigan Shariah
'Plaintiffs challenge city's official cooperation with Islamic WorldNetDaily
A lawsuit that challenges the official cooperation by the city of Dearborn, Mich., which has one of the largest populations of Muslims in the U.S., with Islamic interests makes a stunning allegation: that under the recognized "Shariah" law in the city, there have been "honor killing" murders that have been "covered up."
The lawsuit was brought by the Thomas More Law Center on behalf of four Christians whose speech and other civil rights were restricted by official city action at several recent city-sponsored Arab Fest events.
The lawsuit on behalf of Acts 17 Apologetics, Nebeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, Negeen Mayel and Joshua Hogg names as defendants the city of Dearborn, Mayor John. B. O'Reilly, Police Chief Ronald Haddad and a long list of police officers in addition to American Arab Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Fay Beydoun and Norma Haidous, the special events coordinator for the American Arab chamber.
Officials in the offices of both O'Reilly and Haddad said they were unable to respond to questions about the case, which seeks a court order halting the city's practices regarding speech and distribution of literature on public property at the city's Arab Fest during the summers.
It also seeks compensatory and punitive damages from the defendants.
The allegation about the honor killings that have been "overlooked" in Dearborn comes on Page 61 of the 96-page complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan today.
Describing the circumstances under which police officers arrested the Christians and ordered them to spend a night in jail rather than view readily available exculpatory evidence that ultimately cleared them of the charges, the complaint notes that during the booking of the Christians at the city jail, "a sympathetic city police officer told plaintiffs Qureshi and Rezkalla that some of the police officers were 'on their side,' 'agreed with what they were doing' and 'didn't think they did anything wrong,' or words to that effect."
The comments simply were "demonstrating further that defendants retaliated against plaintiffs for their religious speech activity," the complaint explains.
"The sympathetic police officer told plaintiffs that the security personnel hired for the Arab Festival were mostly 'criminals and gang members,'" the complaint explained. Then it continued:
"The sympathetic police officer told plaintiffs that there were instances in the city where 'honor killings' permitted by Shariah had taken place, but they were covered up," the complaint alleges.
There were available no further details about the honor killings, which are murders committed by Muslims to protect or restore the "honor" of their families against their own family members who may have somehow created "dishonor," such as refusing to cooperate with an arranged marriage, or marrying outside of Islam.
[...]
"Muslims dominate the political and law enforcement process in Dearborn. It seems that police were more interested in placating the mayor and Muslims than obeying our Constitution. Shariah law makes it a crime to preach the Gospel to Muslims. This is a classic example of stealth Jihad being waged right here in America. And it should be a wake-up call for all patriotic Americans,” he said.
The first situation developed June 18 when police jailed four Christian missionaries when they witnessed Nabeel Qureshi, a Muslim convert to Christianity, peaceably discussing his Christian faith with Muslim youths.'
The other three, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, and Negeen Mayel, were arrested along with Qureshi for allegedly 'breaching the peace,' and were led away in handcuffs by police while Muslim onlookers cheered and applauded."

Our Failed Energy Policies Coming Back to Haunt Us
Based on the instability in the Middle East and northern Africa, we are about to witness a big increase in energy prices. President Obama must be licking his chops. Isn't that what he wanted?
Doesn't he just radiate compassion for us commoners?
Now, that a dose of reality is about to knock us over and take a bigger chunk out of our wallets, let's examine who is behind our energy dependence.
Read from the American Thinker:
The inflation disaster is near
Lee DeCovnick
"Five dollar a gallon gas will shatter the Federal Reserve's tightly constrained lid on inflation and accelerate the other half our long anticipated 'double dip' recession. Gas and diesel powers America's 141 million cars, 100 million pickups and SUV's, 8.8 million heavy trucks and 6.7 million motorcycles. Oil runs our harvesters, delivers our groceries, cooks our food, heats our houses, propels our jets, fuels our M-1A1 Abrams tanks, and lubricates our bicycles. American business can only absorb a few percentage points increase in oil prices before passing on their additional distribution costs to the consumer. Already the increases in food and clothing prices have been felt at the cash register. Disposable income will inevitably drop along with consumer demand for domestic cars and trucks, imported goods from China, and destination vacations to resorts in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Don't even ask what this means to our already sluggish unemployment numbers.
So, how close are we to $5.00 a gallon gas? This photo was shot yesterday, February 22, 2011. We may look a back at these prices as the 'good old days' of inexpensive energy costs.

In June of 2008, Congressman Roy Blunt released the following information about how the House members voted on energy issues. During this time Democrats were the majority party in both the House and Senate.
ANWR Exploration:
House Republicans: 91% Supported
House Democrats: 86% Opposed
Coal-to-Liquid:
House Republicans 97% Supported
House Democrats: 78% Opposed
Oil Shale Exploration:
House Republicans: 90% Supported
House Democrats: 86% Opposed
Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Exploration:
House Republicans: 81% Supported
House Democrats: 83% Opposed
Refinery-Increased Capacity:
House Republicans: 97% Supported
House Democrats: 96% Opposed
Summary:
91% of House Republicans have historically voted to increase the production of American-made oil and gas, while 86% of House Democrats have historically voted against increasing the production of American-made oil and gas.
In 2009, the United States still imported 51% of all its petroleum requirements, both crude and refined. This continues to be an unacceptably high number in our quest for energy independence. Gas prices remain hostage to the increasing hostile regimes that sell us oil. Our own Department of Energy has proudly halted off shore drilling. With the political unrest in so many oil producing nations, and the long-term obstruction of Democrats to domestic oil exploration and production, American families have begun to pay the steep price for our failed national energy policies. This current Administration has wasted tens of billions of stimulus dollars on solar panel factories and windmills rather than building new oil refineries and using new technologies to recover the oil buried in our own back yard."
Doesn't he just radiate compassion for us commoners?

The Nutjob in Egypt with a 61 Million People Audience
The left-wing American Pravda can spin the situation that's taking place in Egypt all they like, but the fact of the matter is that this is not a 1776 moment.
America had better wake up because the entire Middle East is either on fire or soon to be on fire. Oil prices are beginning to rise which will take an enormous toll on our fragile economy.
Read about the sinister forces at work in Egypt, via One Jerusalem:
Egypt Turning Against Israel
"Today, 2 million Egyptians marched in celebration of deposing of Mubarak from power. The central figure in this celebration was Yussuf al-Qaradawi, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who lived outside of Egypt during the Mubarak years, because Mubarak saw Qaradawi as an Islamist threat to Egypt and the region.
Personally Qaradawi made a triumphant return Cairo. He sat on a stage before a massive crowd and he made it clear that he and the Muslim Brotherhood are a powerful force that is going to play a large role in Egypt's political future. While praising the military, Qaradawi also made demands. Those included ridding the Egyptian cabinet of Mubarak regime holdovers. There are press reports that shortly after Qaradawi spoke the military rulers moved to arrest members of Mubarak's government.
Qaradawi also called for the Egyptian military to lift its blockade from Gaza. In other words, Qaradawi wants to support his fellow Islamists (Hamas) in Gaza.
There is no word if the military will carry out this wish of Qaradawi, but it is clear that Egypt is no longer going to be a dependable partner in the war against Islamic radicalism.
During his exile years Qaradawi cultivated a massive Arab television audience for his program that attracts a reported 61 million people. On this show he has expressed his anti-semitism and many other despicable views of the world. This list of his ideas will give some idea of who he is:
He called on Muslims to acquire nuclear weapons 'to terrorize their enemies.'
He called jihad an Islamic moral duty and said Muslims are permitted to kill Israeli women because they serve in the army.
He affirmed his support for suicide bombings. 'I supported martyrdom operations,' he said, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). 'This is a necessary thing, as I told them in London. Give the Palestinians tanks, airplanes, and missiles, and they won't carry out martyrdom operations. They are forced to turn themselves into human bombs, in order to defend their land, their honor, and their homeland.'
He called the Holocaust a divine punishment of Jews 'for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them - even though they exaggerated this issue - he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers.'
He prayed for the opportunity to kill a Jew before his death. 'The only thing that I hope for is that as my life approaches its end, Allah will give me an opportunity to go to the land of Jihad and resistance, even if in a wheelchair. I will shoot Allah's enemies, the Jews, and they will throw a bomb at me, and thus, I will seal my life with martyrdom. Praise be to Allah.'"

Hezbollah Near Our Borders
Our politicians on both sides of the aisle are guilty of neglecting to protect our borders. Now, we hear that Hezbollah, the same terrorist group responsible for murdering 241 Americans in the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, is actively involved with the drug cartels in Mexico. Obama and company probably view them as a harmless secular group, just as they do the Muslim Brotherhood.
From Israel Matzav:
Hezbullah partners with the Mexican drug cartels
"Some of you in the US may not realize it, but just south of your border there's a war going on. The war is between the Mexican drug cartels and the Mexican government. The cartels are getting help from a familiar name in the international terror market: Hezbullah.
Let's go to the videotape.
More on this story here."

A Teacher Attacked in the UK for Teaching About Infidel Religions
This story does not take place in Mecca or even in Islamabad, but in the UK. Is there no limit to the arrogance from the "religion of peace" that they believe no other religion but Islam should be taught in a UK school?
Read from Atlas Shrugs:
Four Muslims Slash Teacher's face, Fracture His Skull for Teaching Other Religions to Muslim Girls
"More tolerance and understanding from the most radical, extreme ideology on the face of the earth. Keep feeding the monster.
There. are. no. words.
Four men slashed teacher's face and left him with fractured skull 'for teaching other religions to Muslim girls' Daily Mail (hat tip Dave)
'Slashed: Victim Gary Smith was left with a fractured skull
Four men launched a horrific attack on a teacher in which they slashed his face and left him with a fractured skull because they did not approve of him teaching religion to Muslim girls.
Akmol Hussein, 26, Sheikh Rashid, 27, Azad Hussain, 25, and Simon Alam, 19, attacked Gary Smith with a Stanley knife, an iron rod and a block of cement.
Mr Smith, who is head of religious education at Central Foundation Girls' School in Bow, east London, also suffered a fractured skull.
The four now face a jail sentence.
Detectives made secret recordings of the gang's plot to attack Mr Smith prior to the brutal assault.
The covert audio probe captured the gang condemning Mr Smith for 'teaching other religions to our sisters', the court heard. The RE teacher was targeted as he made his way on foot along Burdett Road in nearby Mile End on July 12 last year, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.
Prosecutor Sarah Whitehouse told the court: 'The evidence from what was said on the probe points overwhelmingly to a religious motive for this attack.'
It is believed the gang had made two earlier attempts to get at the teacher.
[...]
A fifth defendant, Badruzzuha Uddin, 23, admitted assisting the thugs by hiding blood-stained clothing.'"

Caught in a Lie, Again
President Obama may be our commander-in-chief, but he is one huge liar. He is perhaps the most dishonest man to occupy the White House, and there have been some real low-lifes over the years.

Since taking office, President Obama hasn't found time in his busy schedule to speak with six of his Cabinet members, but he sure finds time for union leaders.

Yep, Another One
If you think Lara Logan was the lone victim of a sexual assault in Cairo, think again.
From Atlas Shrugs:
Second Report of Another Sex Attack in Tahrir Square
"....a woman friend has said to me: 'In their minds, you and Lara were just two "infidel whores"'
Muslim harassment of 'infidel' women -- it's what they do. What sickens me is how left-wing Western journalists cover for these savages. This is systemic. Back in September I posted on 'Palestinian' Muslims raping female 'peace' activists and sexually harassing them, while the Left silenced the victims.
I was a mob sex attack victim in Tahrir Square... just like Lara Logan Daily Mail
'I was especially horrified to read of CBS journalist Lara Logan’s sex ordeal as she reported on Egyptians celebrating the toppling of President Hosni Mubarak – because I too was a victim.
I was a few hundred yards away in Cairo’s Tahrir Square last Friday, unaware that Lara –
whom I had worked with at GMTV – was then desperately fighting off a mob of 200 rabid men in a sustained sex assault.
Now I can say what I have only told a few friends since my return: That I too was subjected to several sexual harassment attacks at the scene.
Although they cannot be compared to the trauma Lara suffered, they were deeply upsetting.
The first happened soon after my arrival in the square with photographer Philip Ide.
At first it had seemed just the merest accidental brush of a hand on my bottom but within seconds I felt another, less hesitant stroke.
I ignored it and kept moving, firmly gripping Phil’s shirt so we would not be separated in the surge of bodies.
The hand behind me thrust forward again, this time boldly grasping a fair amount of jeans-clad flesh.
I turned round sharply and glared at a young man who stood out in a crisp bright purple shirt but studiously avoided looking at me. He was no more than about 19.
I suspected he was the culprit and in any other situation would have confronted him angrily.
But in the mass of excitable men, their passions inflamed by hectoring chants and revolutionary songs blaring through speakers, I knew it could have resulted in an angry escalation.
Despite numerous twists and turns around this section of the vast square, the young man’s purple shirt remained a glint in the corner of my eye.
Then, using the jostling of the crowd, he lunged forward clumsily and thrust his pelvis into my behind, while holding on to my shoulder with his right hand and attempting to encircle my waist with his left.
I reacted instinctively, surprising him with a sharp elbow to his torso and was rewarded with a muffled grunt.
Then I grabbed Phil, explained what had happened and asked him to walk behind me for the rest of the way. Purple shirt soon gave up the chase.
At this stage I didn’t feel particularly threatened or scared. Having travelled the world extensively for work and pleasure, I have been in more frightening situations.
With hindsight, I realise I was also lulled into a false sense of security – as no doubt Lara was – because the crowd largely comprised happy, smiling people.
Dangerous: When it got dark, a rowdier element took to Tahrir Square
Even when several youths brushed against me in an intimidating way, some muttering suggestively in Arabic, I felt more annoyance than fear.
It was only later, as it grew dark and a younger, rowdier element arrived in the square, that the mood shifted to a more sinister undercurrent.
These teenagers behaved like football hooligans, charging around in long conga lines.
When I got caught in the middle of one particularly boisterous group, they mobbed me and several attempted to grope and fondle my body.
For a moment I was nervous – I could see Phil’s head but several bodies were between us – then I got angry and pushed back. Luckily, I managed to wriggle my way out of their grasps.
From my previous experiences in the Arab world, I have accepted that a minor level of sexual harassment comes with the territory, so I brushed it off.
It never occurred to me to complain to my bosses. I have never wanted to give male colleagues any reason to treat me differently.
But what happened to Lara has given women like me a chance to tell our story, like the time in South Africa when I fled a Zulu after he pushed his hand down my blouse.
Or the occasion in Qatar when I fought off a sheikh in full traditional dress trying to force his way into my hotel room.
I have had my breasts grabbed in Turkey, been chased by a gang of men while walking down the street in Morocco and generally treated like a piece of meat on a previous visit to Egypt.
That was why I arrived in Tahrir Square armoured in jeans, a baggy, long sleeve top and with my hair covered with a knitted hat.
No doubt, as a woman friend has said to me: 'In their minds, you and Lara were just two "infidel whores", the kind of sexually-liberated women they see in films and videos, or the ones who visit on holiday, get drunk and have liaisons with local men.'
There are those who believe women like Lara should not cover stories where they could find themselves in danger.
Some British and U.S. male commentators have suggested that in some way she was responsible for the attack because she’s petite and attractive.
Others have suggested she has 'form' for dressing provocatively.
I find such comment offensive. No one ever says a male journalist asked for it if he gets beaten up. And I could not have covered up more – apart from wearing a burka.'"
Odd that she should tell that "he lunged forward clumsily and thrust his pelvis into my behind". As I shared early, I was grabbed inappropriately by an Arab man when I lived in the Middle East as a young girl and attended boarding school in Beirut, Lebanon. My mother just shared a story with me of a situation where a man "thrust his pelvis into her behind" when she was standing in a crowd at the Beirut airport watching planes arrive. She was horrified and did her best to move away from the pervert.
Now, I realize this is a small sample, but when my family lived in the Middle East, there were three females: my mom, my sister, and me. Two of us experienced unpleasant, unwelcomed sexual advances. Two out of three; that's 67%. Not very good odds. And that was in the pro-Western Beirut during the late 60s. It's plain as can be; the Arab culture has no respect for women.

Americans Support Scott Walker
Sorry, libs. As you bring chaos to Madison, Wisconsin, Americans are not supporting you in your cause. In fact, we are getting fed up with the demands coming from public employee unions.
Scott Walker is a hero, and he is doing exactly what the people of Wisconsin elected him to do. As President Obama once reminded his opponents, "Elections have consequences."
Read from Weasel Zippers:
Poll: American Voters Support Wisconsin Republican Gov. Over Unions by a 48% to 38% Margin…
"Unionized entitlement class hardest hit.
'A sizable number of voters are following new Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s showdown with unionized public employees in his state, and nearly half side with the governor.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters agree more with the Republican governor in his dispute with union workers. Thirty-eight percent (38%) agree more with the unionized public employees, while 14% are undecided.
In an effort to close the state’s sizable budget deficit, Walker is proposing to eliminate collective bargaining for public employees including teachers on everything but wage issues. He is excluding public safety workers such as policemen and firemen from his plan.
Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters think teachers, firemen and policemen should be allowed to go on strike, but 49% disagree and believe they should not have that right. Thirteen percent (13%) are not sure.'
Rest here>>>"
As for the teachers who have not shown up for work, they should be fired on the spot. Imagine someone pulling a stunt like that in the private sector.
President Obama has thrown in his two cents, siding with the unions, of course. Interestingly, his poll numbers are slipping back into the gutter.
I vaguely remember the American Pravda coming out and condemning hateful political rhetoric used against the opposition. Somehow, they forgot to report about the hate coming out of Madison.

Christian Persecution in Egypt
Those lovers of infidels have struck again.
From Atlas Shrugs:
Muslims Kidnap 18-Year-Old Christian Woman, Threaten Her family in Egypt
"The Coptic Christians in Egypt have been bending over backwards in subservience to Muslims (going so far as to 'protect' Muslims while praying during the protests) since the increasingly Islamic revolution began, in some futile attempt to exact some measure of mercy in the new order of post-revolution Egypt.
As if ...........
The persecution, slaughter and oppression of Coptic Christians in Egypt by Muslims is well documented -- scarier still, it could get worse under a Qaradawi, Muslim Brotherhood-influenced regime. Who will protect the Christians from the Muslims?
Muslims Abduct Coptic Christian Woman in Egypt AINA
(AINA) -- 'Muslims broke into the home of a Coptic family this afternoon and abducted their 18-year-old daughter Nesma Sarwat. The home belongs to the building contractor who built the controversial St. Mary and St. Michael church in Talbiya, within the Omraniya neighborhood of Giza. The abductors wrote messages on the home's wall, the messages said "Islam is the solution" and "The Church has to be demolished." The abductors also wrote the names of the other family members on the wall.
Neighbors heard voices, but no one saw the abductors as the whole operation took less than ten minutes and blood was found on the stairs and in the flat, reported Coptic activist Mariam Ragy of Free Coptic Voice advocacy. "I believe writing the names of the rest of the family might mean that their turn is coming," said the neighbor.
The Family of the abducted woman called the security forces to the scene.
St. Mary and St. Michael church was the scene on November 24, 2010 of severe clashes between State Security forces and Copts protesting over the closure of their church, during which the forces used tear gas and live ammunition against the protesters, resulting in the killing of three Copts, hundreds of injuries and the arrest of 176 Copts (AINA 11-27-2010);
[...]
On February 6, as soon as a few security officers came back on duty, they stormed the church and evicted the priest and the congregation who were keeping vigil there and holding services praying for peace in Egypt.
On September 15, 2010, an Islamic Jihadist Forum called Islamic Atahadi (Challenge) Network, which is said to be an affiliate of Al-Qaida, published on its website under the title "Images of the Church under construction in the Pyramids and how to demolish it." The Forum showed photos of St. Mary and St. Michael church in Talbiya, which was still under construction, gave its members instructions on how to demolish the church by using sugar; "An easy and affordable way for the demolition of the church before its completion, no need for demonstrations, no need for the use of weapons or explosives, you only need to introduce certain quantities of sugar, yes normal sugar." They went on to explain how to introduce reasonable quantities of sugar inside the forms prepared for pouring the columns, "because sugar affects concrete and cancels the chemical reaction which makes the sand and gravel hold together with the cement." They advised in their step by step instructions that timing was very important in the process; the best time being immediately before pouring the roof.
Dr. Naguib Gabriel, head of the Egyptian Federation for Human Rights Organization, presented on February 10 a complaint to the Attorney-General on behalf of the people of the Omraniya area, against the Governor of Giza, and the former director of security in, Giza accusing them of being the cause of the murder of three of the Ormaniya Copts and causing sectarian strife.
[...]
On February 8 sectarian violence broke out in the hamlet of Elias Hanna, in Samalut, Minya province when some 80 Muslims attacked a number of Copts because they attempted to pray in a house belonging to the Diocese since 2007. The Muslim attack resulted in the injury of 5 Copts. Nearly 6000 Copts living in the hamlet of Elias Hanna and three other neighboring villages have no church.
On February 16 the Church of St. George in Rafah was torched, the walls of the church had writing saying "No to Christians in Muslim Land" (video).
Sectarian tensions broke out on February 17 when Muslims attacked Christians inside the church of Saint Georges in the village of El-Hathatah near Samalout, Minya. This was prompted by the church building a roof over the courtyard between the church and its community services building within the fenced church compound, in order to make more space for its congregation. Muslims surrounded the church and hurled stones. The armed forces were called but without response, prompting the Coptic youth to defend their church.'"

It's the Islamists, Stupid
Guess who's behind the protests in Egypt? What a shock! It's the Islamists, many of whom are the Muslim Brotherhood, you know, that secular group which, according to the Obama Administration and the American Pravda, poses no threat to the U.S.
But, don't worry because we've got Barack Obama on the throne protecting America and putting the fear of God in all our enemies. (Excuse me, while I barf.)
Read from Gateway Pundit:
Top Muslim Brotherhood Leader: Islamists Have Been Directing Protests in Egypt
"Well, this is reassuring.
Top Muslim Brotherhood leader in Egypt Kamal Helbawi told the Iranian News Agency this weekend that Islamists were directing the protests in Egypt.
The Islamic Republic News Agency reported:
'Top Muslim Brotherhood leader in Egypt Kamal Helbawi underlined the Islamic nature of revolution in his country and said the young generation of Muslim Brotherhood had a very good role in taking people to the streets and protecting them in Tahrir Square.
Helbawi, who is in Tehran to attend the International Conference on Islamic Unity, in an exclusive interview with IRNA on Saturday said Egyptians’ demands come from their interest in Islam.
‘People of Egypt are seeking human dignity, social justice, and their human rights none of which has any contradiction with Islamic principles,’ said Helbawi.
Stressing that the west is trying to downplay the revolution of people in Egypt, Helbawi said, ‘Organizing several million-strong rallies shows that some leaders, many of whom are Islamists, have been directing people.’
Responding to a question about Camp David Accords, the former spokesman of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood said, ‘People of Egypt cannot accept an agreement which is based on injustice and has ignored the rights of Palestinians.’
‘We cannot respect such agreements and won’t approve of them,’ he said.
Helbawi expressed hope that the military council, ruling Egypt after Mubark, will heed legitimate demands of Egyptians and respond positively to them.'"

The Wrath of God on Display
The God of Israel is sending a warning, and I'm loving every moment of it. No way is this a mere coincidence, but instead the hand of God.
A little lesson for Israel's enemies: The wrath of God is about to fall upon you.
Read from Israel Matzav:
At the Suez Canal, a sign from God?
"If there's a connection between these two events, no one in a position of authority has said so explicitly. But the passage of those two Iranian warships through the Suez Canal has been delayed to Wednesday. And around 3:00 am on Monday (recall that ships start moving through the Canal at 6:00 am), an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale hit the entrance to the Suez Canal.
'The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research reported that tremors from the 3 a.m. quake lasted for 27 minutes, but caused no damage.
The ships had originally been expected to enter the Suez today (Monday), but Egyptian officials announced the delay this morning, without explanation.
Iran inexplicably announced Sunday morning that two of its warships had crossed the Suez, a report that was thoroughly denied by Egyptian authorities. Iranian media did not mention the ships on Monday, and the false report may have been for local consumption.
No Iranian ship has been allowed to pass through the Suez Canal since Iran's 1979 overthrow of the Shah and Egypt's signing of a peace treaty with Israel the same year.
Egypt’s agreeing to allow Iranian ships to pass through the Suez is seen by many analysts as a signal that the new regime in Egypt is leaning towards ties with Iran, but Suez Canal officials have pointed out that an international convention requires it allow passage to all ships. Egypt has reportedly agreed to allow the Iranian boats to pass through the canal en route to Syria. The Obama administration is concerned about “what’s the cargo on board, where is it going, to whom, for what benefit," U.S. State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters. Iran has said that the ships are headed for Syria for training, Crowley commented, as laughter was heard in the audience: “My initial response to that would be that we’re highly skeptical of that claim.”'
I'm glad that Crowley is finding humor in this situation. What could go wrong?"

UK Muslims Want Gay Marriage
I'm just shaking my head on this one. Homosexuality and Islam are not compatible. No way are these Brits devout Muslims; they must fall into the secular category.
Check this out, via Weasel Zippers:
British Gay Muslims Seeking Islamic Marriage
"Good luck with that…
(BBC News) — 'British gay Muslims are joining the global fight for equality and seeking gay Islamic marriage.
The BBC’s 5 live Investigates speaks to one couple about their "nikah" — a Muslim matrimonial contract — and asks how they balance their sexuality with the Islamic faith.
“We met about three years ago, at an iftar — a breaking of fast during Ramadan.
“I think a lot of Muslims find that time of year very spiritual and very enlightening, and so I think that’s why our relationship developed, because we spoke about our faith.”
“Eventually we went on a date.”
Asra recalls the first time she met her partner, Sarah, three years ago. The gay couple, who are also Muslim, are one of a growing number of gay, British Muslims who have cemented their relationship with marriage – Islamic marriage.
Asra fondly remembers the moment Sarah proposed to her.
“After the first date, which was about an hour, Sarah casually asked me to marry her.”
Sarah interjects.
“I think it was more like four hours, after dinner, coffee and walking. I didn’t really plan it, but it just really seemed like the way it was between us, I should try and keep it as pure as possible.
“That may sound strange being lesbians, but it felt like we should do it the most honourable way we could.”'

Campbell's Soup Is Not 'Mmm Good
I get a particular sense of pleasure in relaying this story. When we infidels stand up against political correctness, we hurt 'em where it counts--in the wallet. Yes!!!!
Read from Atlas Shrugs:
VICTORY! Campbell's Sales fall 8% After Boycott for Muslim Brotherhood-Linked Collaboration
"We called for a boycott of Campbell's soups -- and it looks like we made an impact. Back in October, Atlas called for a boycott (here) of Campbell's soups after they announced they would be going halal under the auspices of the Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood group, Islamic Society of North America.
The Washington Post derided the boycott here.
There is a hidden war, a stealth jihad, on the West -- and everyone, and I mean everyone, has to fight the great fight.
Campbell says sales, profit dip; cuts guidance
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - ' The Campbell Soup Co.'s fiscal second-quarter income fell 8 percent as soup sales slipped. The company also cut its outlook for the rest of fiscal 2011.
Campbell says it now expects sales to be essentially flat—between a 1 percent decline and 1 percent growth, and earnings per share to fall by 1 to 3 percent.
The second-quarter result matched Wall Street expectations. The Camden, N.J., maker of soup, Pace and Prego sauces and other foods earned $239 million, or 71 cents per share, for the period ended Jan 30. That's down from $259 million, or 74 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue dropped 1 percent to $2.13 billion.'

A Voice for the Muslim Brotherhood
What is of particular concern regarding the situation in Egypt is the strength of the Muslim Brotherhood behind the scenes. The hard-line Islamist group is by far the most organized political group in the nation.
In the early stages of the rioting in the streets of Cairo, former IAEA director Mohamed ElBaradei seems to have been a voice representing the Brotherhood. Yet, they didn't seem to have a strong leader to further their cause, until now....

Egypt Gets Its Khomeini

"Friday, February 18 may be a turning point in Egyptian history. On that day Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the best-known Muslim Brotherhood cleric in the world and one of the most famous Islamist thinkers, will address a mass rally in Cairo.
Up until now, the Egyptian revolution generally, and the Brotherhood in particular, has lacked a charismatic thinker, someone who could really mobilize the masses. Qaradawi is that man. Long resident in the Gulf, he is returning to his homeland in triumph. Through internet, radio, his 100 books, and his weekly satellite television program, Qaradawi has been an articulate voice for revolutionary Islamism. He is literally a living legend.
Under the old regime, Qaradawi was banned from the country. He is now 84 years old -- two years older than the fallen President Husni Mubarak--but he is tremendously energetic and clear-minded.
It was Qaradawi who, in critiquing Usama bin Ladin and al-Qaida, argued that Islamists should always participate in elections because they would, he claims, invariably win them. Hamas and Hezb'allah have shown that he was right on that point.
Symbolically, he will give the Friday prayer sermon to be held in Tahrir Square, the center of the revolutionary movement. The massing of hundreds of thousands of people in the square to hear Islamic services and a sermon by a radical Islamist is not the kind of thing that's been going on under the 60-year-old military regime that was recently overthrown.
The context is also the thanking of Qaradawi for his support of the revolution, an implication that he is somehow its spiritual father.
Qaradawi, though some in the West view him as a moderate, supports the straight Islamist line: anti-American, anti-Western, wipe Israel off the map, foment Jihad, stone homosexuals, in short the works.
One of Qaradawi's initiatives has been urging Muslims to settle in the West, of which he said, 'that powerful West, which has come to rule the world, should not be left to the influence of the Jews alone.' He contends that the three major threats Muslims face are Zionism, internal integration, and globalization. To survive, he argues, Muslims must fight the Zionists, Crusaders, idolaters, and Communists.
What is his view of both the Mubarak regime and the young, Facebook-flourishing liberals who made the revolution? As he said in 2004: 'Some Arab and Muslim secularists are following the U.S. government by advocating the kind of reform that will disarm the nation from the elements of strength that are holding our people together.'
Have no doubt. It is Qaradawi, not bin Ladin, who is the most dangerous revolutionary Islamist in the world, and he is about to unleash the full force of his power and persuasion on Egypt.
Who are you going to bet on being more influential, a Google executive and an unorganized band of well-intentioned liberal Egyptians or the world champion radical Islamist cleric?"
