I just heard that August is the first month with no American casualties in Iraq since the war began in 2003.
However, what the dear ole American Pravda forgot to mention when they shared that good news is the fact that August was also the deadliest month in Afghanistan since the war against terror began. My guess is no one else heard this distressing news either.
Imagine if George W. Bush were still president. That little tidbit of news would be rammed down our throats 24/7.
So much sorrow for these military families to bear. Please pray for them.
Read from Atlas Shrugs:
August: Deadliest month for U.S. in Afghanistan Since September 11th
"August: Deadliest month for U.S. in Afghanistan Army Times
KABUL, Afghanistan — August has become the deadliest month yet for U.S. forces in the nearly 10-year-old war in Afghanistan, increasing pressure on the Obama administration to bring troops home sooner rather than later.
The 66 U.S. service members killed this month eclipses the previous record of 65 killed in July 2010, according to an Associated Press tally.'"
