What a disappointment! Chris Christie may be bold in confronting liberals, but he is completely clueless when it comes to the threat of Islam.
Read from Jihad Watch:
NJ Governor Christie says critics of Hamas-linked judge are "ignorant" and "this Sharia law business is just crap"
"And to think that some people think this tool would be a good president. 'Chris Christie Blasts "Crazies" After Appointing Muslim Judge: The "Sharia Law Business Is Just Crap,"' by Jonathan Seidl in The Blaze, August 4 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
'[...] The New Jersey governor appointed a Muslim judge this year...and during a press conference yesterday answered questions about it. Or more appropriately put, he delivered a trademarked, passionate tongue-lashing of those who questioned his decision.
Mediaite has some of Christie’s most colorful quotes (which I’ve bolded):
“Ignorance is behind the criticism of Sohail Mohammed,” he told a reporter asking about the complaints that he may be inadequate to be a judge because he defended Muslim Americans who were wrongly arrested post-9/11. “He is an extraordinary American who is an outstanding lawyer and played an integral role in the post-September 11th period in building bridges between the Muslim American community in this state and law enforcement,” Gov. Christie argued, adding that he was “disgusted, candidly, by some of the questions he was asked… at the Senate judiciary committee.”
But it was a follow-up question on the fear of Sharia Law that set the governor off. “Sharia Law has nothing to do with this at all, it’s crazy!” he cried. “The guy is an American citizen!” He concluded that the “Sharia Law business is just crap… and I’m tried of dealing with the crazies,” adding with disgust and frustration that “it’s just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background.”'
Listening to all that from Christie, you'd get the idea that Sohail Mohammed is being unjustly maligned out of 'hatred,' 'bigotry' and 'Islamophobia.' So let's look at the record. 'Governor Christie's Dirty Islamist Ties,' by Daniel Greenfield at Sultan Knish, January 16, 2011:
New Jersey, the Garden State, has just taken its first step toward becoming the Sharia State, with Governor Christie's nomination of Sohail Mohammed, an attorney to detained terrorist suspects, to a Superior Court judgeship in Passaic County. The Sohail nomination continues Christie's unfortunate pandering to the American Muslim Union and the Islamic Center of Passaic County.
Passaic County has the second largest Muslim population in the country. And the Islamic Center of Passaic County is the state's largest mosque, and it's the only one run by an an Imam who was a member of the Hamas terrorist organization. But when the United States government attempted to deport Mohammed Qatanani, New Jersey's pols and wannabe pols like Christie, quickly came to his aid. Despite the fact that Mohammed Qatanani was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that is behind both Al Qaeda and Hamas, despite his own guilty plea to being a member of Hamas, and despite the fact that even in the United States, he had defended a charity that provided funds to children of suicide bombers (this is done as an incentive to reassure terrorists that if they die their families will be taken care of), Qatanani was not deported.
This is less a sign of his innocence, than of the power and influence wielded by Qatanani and the American Muslim Union. There was hardly a top New Jersey public official who did not come out for Qatanani. And that included both of the major candidates in the governor's race, Governor Jon Corzine and Chris Christie. Christie called Qatanani, "a man of great goodwill" and "a constructive force" and allowed Charles McKenna, one of his associate attorneys to testify on behalf of Qatanani. Afterward Christie tapped McKenna to head New Jersey's Department of Homeland Security. McKenna had spent a good deal of time on Muslim "outreach" and made numerous statements echoing their talking points.
The pioneering terrorism researcher, Steve Emerson called it, "a disgrace and an act of pure political corruption". He stated, "I know for certain that Christie and the FBI SAC had access to information about Qatanani’s background, involvement with and support of Hamas." Defending Qatanani required Christie to pit himself against the Department of Homeland Security, which wanted him deported. But the Department of Homeland Security wasn't running for office in New Jersey. Christie was.'
There is much more. Read it all."

Scroll down for Christies grade F
I am aware of that about Perry, but I'm still going with him because I don't think Bachmann, Palin, or Cain, who are the most conservative, can win.
I think Perry with his record on jobs can beat Obama because, let's face it, the election will be all about jobs and the economy. Plus Perry is a man of God, unlike Obama--Satan's warrior.
Thank you for responding Debra.
I agree, but we need to make it clear to Perry that immigration/fences and Obamacare are ground zero.
We need Perry to reach out to the Latino voters and explain to them that if illegal immigration is not stopped cold, the American dream is dead and they lose out also. Maybe they do not care and just want to conquer America like many of the radical Latinos.
But we need to pull back aid to far away foreign countries and "invest" in a cartel free and job creating Mexico to stop the incentive to come across the border illegally. If we show the Mexican people that we want a healthy Mexico and help them regain control over the cartels we might get some latino backing.
This is a key for the 2012 election. We have to turn negatives into positives in a short time.
We also need to put Americans first. E-Verify needs to be the law of the land and stop the anchor baby madness, period. Did you see the report that foreign dignitaries are bringing their wives here to have babies so they are American citizens also?
A healthy America creates a healthy world economy. The world needs to face the facts especially after seeing what the world economy does when America is not vibrant, our consumption creates jobs. Now I do not like to see the obscene consumption like the clowns on TV shows that throw lavish parties and waste so much food and energy, but America creates jobs all over the world.
The cost of illegal immigrants is bankrupting our states right along with the unions.
