The New War Monger

Wasn't Barack Obama supposed to be the "peace" candidate? How many wars is the Nobel Peace Prize winner involving us? For the time being, we have boots on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and we are participating in aerial strikes in both Libya and Yemen.

Notice I said "for the time being" because word has it that Obama is planning for a ground invasion of Libya. Will Syria be next?

If I recall correctly, when Obama took office, there was one nation which presented the greatest threat of all to America, and that nation was, and still is, Iran. Obama ignored the Iranian protestors after their fraudulent June 2009 election as they were on the streets crying out for international help. Yet, he is quick to go after the nutjob in Libya. What kind of sense does that make?

This is insanity! Our troops are overstretched, the American people are opposed to sending troops to Libya, and last but not least, we cannot afford another war, especially with a nation that is not even a threat to America.

Where are the peace protestors? I haven't seen hide nor hair of Cindy Sheehan, and what do the gals at Code Pink have to say about this? By the time it's all said and done, Obama will earn the title "war monger" formerly bestowed upon George W. Bush. Who would have thunk it possible?

Obama Orders Pentagon To Begin Planning For Libya Invasion With Massive Military Exercise On East Coast
The coming summer of war

"Obama is bound and determined to assist the Muslim Brotherhood in the reshaping of the entire Middle East. So much so that he has ordered the Pentagon to conduct the largest-ever US military training exercise on the east coast this summer. It is called Exercise Mailed Fist, and makes for convincing proof that he is planning to invade Libya with ground forces in just a few months.

'Washington (CNN) — It’s mid-June, a perfect time to visit the beach to watch porpoises play in the surf or seagulls strut the sand — or you could watch a formation of Marine Corps warplanes darting over the shore at hundreds of miles per hour. But don’t worry — the United States hasn’t declared war on your family’s beach house. It’s just part of a major Marine Corps exercise called Exercise Mailed Fist (translation: armored fist).

The exercise is designed to test the capability of every type of Marine Corps aircraft, including MV-22 Ospreys and F/A 18 Hornets, as well as some Navy ships and Air Force planes. The drill will stretch from Quantico Marine Base in northern Virginia to the Navy’s Pinecastle Bombing Range in Florida. With thousands of Marines and other service members involved, it’s the biggest such drill ever on the U.S. East Coast. 'Exercise Mailed Fist is the first exercise of its specific kind and the largest 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing exercise conducted in recent history,' said Staff Sgt. Roman J. Yurek, Marine Corps spokesman.

'In the past, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing units had to deploy to the West Coast to conduct this type of training.' Mailed Fist was not originally supposed to be one big exercise. But the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s commander, Maj. Gen. Jon Davis, decided to combine several smaller drills into one big exercise. Not only do the Marines train closer to home, the Pentagon saves money. Most of the exercises will take place in the skies above or near Marine bases along the North and South Carolina coast. From Monday until Friday, vacationers 'who are located near the bases … will see an increase in air and ground traffic at various times throughout the week, but there should be minimal impact on activity near beaches other than occasional fly-overs at relatively high altitudes,' the spokesman said.” source – CNN"
