Poor Barry! His popularity has now fallen below that of George W. Bush. Who would have thunk it? Kinda reminds me of the "grass is greener on the other side" mentality. Americans disliked Bush, and then they experienced a dose of Obama and found out that Bush wasn't quite as bad as they thought.
From the Politico:
Bush job approval rating higher than Obama's
"George W. Bush’s job approval rating as president has spiked to 47 percent, according to a Gallup poll released Monday.
That’s 1 point higher than President Barack Obama’s job approval rating in a poll taken the same week.
This is the first time Gallup asked Americans to retrospectively rate Bush’s job performance. And it was a stunning turnaround from his low point of 25 percent in November 2008. The 47 percent number is 13 points higher than the last Gallup poll taken before Bush left office in 2009 and the highest rating for him since before Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Still, Bush’s 51 percent disapproval rating means he’s only one of two U.S. presidents in the past 50 years whose disapproval exceeds approval. The other is Richard Nixon, who resigned in disgrace 36 years ago and whose approval rating stands at 29 percent.
Obama’s stumbles and dimming public memories of Bush’s shortcomings appear to be helping fuel the more positive reassessment of him. And, in recent weeks, Bush’s tour to promote his new memoir, 'Decision Points,' and the groundbreaking of his new library in Dallas have generated mostly positive press.
Bush’s 47 percent approval rating also raises serious questions about the wisdom of the White House’s decision to relentlessly attack him in the months before the Democrats’ historic losses in the midterm elections. The president had kept warning a House Republican majority would return to Bush-era policies. But Obama’s message did little to galvanize the liberal base, and independents flocked to the GOP on Election Day.
Bush’s rebound gives some credence to what he has long said — that history will eventually judge his presidency.
One of his role models is Harry Truman, who left office deeply unpopular but now gets credit for laying the groundwork to fight the Cold War. Bush sees parallels with his own efforts in the early days of the global war on terror.
Gallup also polled on the eight other presidents in the past 50 years, asking: 'From what you have heard, read, or remember about some of our past presidents, please tell me if you approve or disapprove of the way each of the following handled their job as president.'
To prevent respondents from getting Bush, the 43rd president, confused with his father — George H.W. Bush, the 41st president — the pollsters added that Bush was president from 2001 to 2009.
John F. Kennedy remains the most popular modern president, with 85 percent of those surveyed saying they approved of his job performance. Ronald Reagan’s job approval was 74 percent. And Bill Clinton’s was 69 percent, up from 61 percent in 2006.
The poll was conducted Nov. 19-21 with a random sample of 1,037 adults. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points."

No gloating here on this end.
Obama has weakened this country so much so fast it is scary.
Bush had 9/11, Katrina, the collapse of the dot coms from Clintons cooking of the books presidency and the Frank/Dodd bubble collapse. Clintons whole presidency was based on cooked books and inflated values of everything.
Obamas was all self inflicted wounds from his policy of taking america down for Soros and giving the unions money and increased power.
If our country survives the progressive take over from within with the aide of Soros and Putin we will come back stronger.
How on earth can Russia control 50%of US Uranium?
Obama is the most dangerous president of our time.
I forgot to add that Bush is far from being innocent in all that he did. I questioned Bush on many accounts as well, but I NEVER FEARED MY GOVT AS I DO NOW. The evidence that Obama is weakening our country on purpose is overwhelming.
Here is an excellent blog on how Obama is the ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BANKS HUGE PROFITS AFTER THE BAILOUTS.
If Obama is so smart he MUST HAVE KNOWN THIS WOULD HAPPEN, RIGHT?

You fear for "your" government? Who died and left you the entire U.S. government?
Or did you mean you're fearful because old white men were denied a 44th opportunity to continue their uninterrupted control of the White House, and a black man somehow got in? And the cheeky bastard didn't even have the good sense to sneak in the kitchen via the back door!
commie obama is all for people having and making money, as long as they are union members, campaign donators, liberals or welfare bums.
Just don't let the real producers in America try it.
An obama chastizing is not far behind.
Dio,
Your race baiting is really old and does nothing but make you a desperate progressive loser. You’re an idiot for going along with this rogue anti-American shadow govt.
If you were a former lawyer (as you claim) you are a despicable anti-American. Your lack of any class in your posting and the school girl name calling shows how immature you really are. Maybe someone may take your constant anti-American rants serious, but I doubt it.
Nothing even remotely anti-American in my ccmment. You're the boob talking about "your" goevrnment. Sorry to tell you, sweetie, but it's "our" government, and it sure as hell isn't a "shadow government", as you so un-American-ly declare it to be.
Barack Obama is the duly elected President of the United States. If YOU had any respect for our system of government, you'd acknowledge that simple fact. Maybe you don't like the guy, but he IS the President. And denying that just shows how silly and prejudiced you are.
Did you ever badmouth Bush when he was the duly elected president? Did you and your koolaid drinkers respect him? If not, that just shows how silly and prejudiced YOU are.
Did I "badmouth" Bush? Sure did... once he tried to dismantle the public education system in America so that his "free market" buddies might make a quick buck by setting up new charter schools to skim a pretty penny out of the system. And when Bushie decided that America should invade a foreign country under false pretenses, I really badmouthed him.
But I never suggested that Bushie took "my" country away from me. Did I say he was hurting "our" country? You bet.
I also accused Bushie, rightfully, of being an idiot, and a mean-spirited lying idiot at times, but I never once said -- or even thought -- that he was intentionally trying to destroy our country.
And, when his daddy's buddies conned a majority of the Supreme Court to hand Bushie Lite the presidency on a silver platter, I complained. But you know what? You never heard me arguing TWO YEARS LATER that Bushie wasn't the legitimate President of the United States.
It's called "losing an election". More than 50% of all candidates lose their most recent election. Happens all the time. when you lose, you pick up the pieces and try harder next time. That's the way our system works. You DON'T try to blow up the system to get rid of the candidate you didn't vote for. I have NO respect for those that try that approach, be they coming from the right OR the left.
JustaDumbass, whatI said was one needs to respect the SYSTEM of our government. If you choose to show disrespect for the President or any other individuals or individuals that play a role in that government, that's up to you. BUt disrespecting the SYSTEM -- ESPECIALLY if it's because one guy pisses you off -- is stupid and un-American in the truest sense of the word. That system, while certainly not perfect, is the best system of government this planet has ever seen, and it has served us well since 1789. THAT deserves some respect, and Teabaggers who whine about the suppposed illegitimacy of the duly-elected President deserve no respect.
And you'd have everybody believe that this unprecedented treatment of our system and our President has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that this particular President just HAPPENS to be black? It's all coincidentsal, right?
As AnonyMoron might say: Riiiiiiggggghhhhhhht !
