Sometimes things don't work out as planned. I had no intention of posting today, but instead, traveling out of town to visit my in-laws for Christmas. But, in the middle of the night, my husband woke up with terrible pain, more than likely from a kidney stone. We went through this scenario about five years ago on the first night of a vacation in a beach community we had never visited before, and it ended with a visit to the emergency room. Hopefully, we can avoid that this time.
Needless to say, my five children went to their grandparents for the day. My husband is in bed attempting to sleep, despite his pain, and I am sitting here with nothing to do, but be on call if he needs me.
Yet, through all the change in plans, I rejoice in the celebration this day of the birth of my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the only child born to die, and that death was to deliver us from all our sins. What a Savior! What a friend! Jesus truly is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas to you Debra. I hope everything goes well with your husband.
My oldest son was born at 1:57 am Dec 25th 1986. That was a very special experience.
Thanks for this website. I wish I could do something like this myself some day.
What horrible sin against Israel did your husband commit? If we're supposed to accept your theory that bad things happen to people because God is pissed at them for some trangression against Israel, then your husband had to have done something, right?
Obviously, we know that that is nonsense, just as your theory is nonsense. And I do feel sorry for him; my wife has had kidney stones in the past... it's no fun at all. But having kidney stones AND being your husband is more than one man should have to suffer.
