A Tough November--UPDATED

The libs have had a horrible November! First, they get pulverized in the federal, state, and local elections. If that wasn't enough to send them over the edge into a deep depression, the latest news may result in many lefties on suicide watch.

Read from CNN:

Sources: compromise could temporarily extend all bush tax cuts

"An emerging tax cut compromise could be to temporarily extend Bush-era tax cuts for all income levels, congressional sources in both parties told CNN Thursday.

Republican and Democratic sources say in this scenario - a short term extension across the board - both sides would be giving ground.

Democrats would compromise on their pledge to let tax cuts for the wealthy expire, and Republicans would give on their promise to make all tax cuts, including those for the wealthiest Americans, permanent."

Wow! That hurts the kook fringe on the far-left. They so wanted to stick it to the achievers and redistribute their wealth. But, that's not all. The anti-war crowd must be apoplectic to hear that Obama may not pull out of Afghanistan in 2011 as he promised to do.

Read from McClatchy:

Obama officials moving away from 2011 Afghan date

"The Obama administration has decided to begin publicly walking away from what it once touted as key deadlines in the war in Afghanistan in an effort to de-emphasize President Barack Obama's pledge that he'd begin withdrawing U.S. forces in July 2011, administration and military officials have told McClatchy.

The new policy will be on display next week during a conference of NATO countries in Lisbon, Portugal, where the administration hopes to introduce a timeline that calls for the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO forces from Afghanistan by 2014, the year when Afghan President Hamid Karzai once said Afghan troops could provide their own security, three senior officials told McClatchy, along with others speaking anonymously as a matter of policy."

Ouch!

Obama has not changed his mindset; he still opposes all wars and still wants to stick it to the rich. But hey, he has got to look out for his own hide. Who wants a lost war under his belt?

Nevertheless, my hats off to Obama for making two wise decisions, and all in one month. That's a first! However, it would have been a whole lot smarter to not have informed the Taliban about our intentions when Obama agreed to the surge.

In reality, the only reason we did not hear about this before the election is because he needed the kook fringe to get out and vote on November 2nd. He could not release these plans prior to the election, knowing that the radicals would freak.

Sweet dreams, Diogenes.

UPDATE: I guess Obama isn't interested in saving our economy after all.

Why are you celebrating tax cuts for those who make in excess of $250,000 per year, MoreLies? The Republicans are supposed to be sooooooo worried about the deficit, but they're pushing for tax cuts that will cost the nation $700 billion. For who? The top 2% of all wage earners. There's just no reason why John Q. Public should support this. And the Republicans are perfectly willing to throw the lower 98% of all wage earners under the bus if they couldn't get that tax cut for the ultra-rich. Rightwingnuts are either stupid, brainwashed, or blinded by hatred of all things Obama.

And celebrate keeping troops in Afghanistan to get killed for more years? Sacrifice more American lives and spend untold billions... for what? You think Afghanistan will be any better in 2014 than it wil be in 2011? I'm still hopeful that this rumor proves false.

I'd ask you where your values are, but it's pretty clear you don't have any.

DiogenASS: 2 words for you, dumb-ass!

"Small Business" you know the driving force of America’s economy, the ones that create 80% of all jobs in the US.

You’re a perfect example of what’s wrong with America’s public school system today.

You can go back to eating your fruit-loop, fool!

Horseshit, AnonyMoron. If you're THAT concerned about "small" business, then set the threshold at $1 million, instead of "only" $250,000 income. That ought to do the trick.

But you know what? The Republicans will never go for that. Why not? Because, if they did, they'd lose the political cover that "small business" provides them. Virtually EVERYBODY could agree that those making over a million could afford to go without the tax break... which would expose the Republican fat cats for what they are.

Be honest: how many "small" businesses have more than $250,000 in income per year?
