OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - 'Oklahoma voters have approved a measure that would forbid judges from considering international law or Islamic law when deciding cases.
Republican Rex Duncan, the sponsor of the measure, called it a "pre-emptive strike" designed to close the door on activist judges "legislating from the bench or using international law or Sharia law."
Members of the Muslim community called the question an attack on Islam and some of them said they are prepared to file a lawsuit challenging the measure.'"

Sadly, I suppose you're all aware of the New Jersey case where the muslim man was given a lesser sentence for raping and beating his wife. Evidentally, the judge said that it was part of his culture, and therefore had to be taken into account.
This really is a serious problem, and it is sad to see people turning it into a "nya nya, yer dumb" type of situation. This is a case where we need to stick together as Americans and fight any cases of international law being considered. (The OK amendment was for sharia and any other international law).
It is not somethink like whether or not gays can marry. That could go either way and not destroy the republid. But this is very dire.
Please read up on sharia law, if you are minimizing the danger. Learn about what's happened to Europe. And especially, read the papers found in the Mulsim Brotherhood house in the 1990's.
They have a step-by-step plan, and many of the steps have already been implemented.
Conservative and liberal ideas come and go, but this is beyond politics. They're not playing games. We all need to put politics aside on this one.
Please read up on U.S. history. We broke away from Europe and formed our very own country a few years back. And we pretty much haveen't followed Europe's lead ever since.
As for the New Jersey case, trying researching a little more. Even a rightwingnut blog gave away the punchline: the district court was overruled. And it was a case seeking a permanent injunction, not a criminal case.
Sharia law taking over the American Constitution is just another example of Chicken Little Religious Rightwingnuts scaring people into hating/fearing all dem furriners.
