Support for Israel Increasing

I see a pattern developing since President Obama has taken over the White House. What ever issue the man supports, the American people tend to favor the opposite position. His ability to connect with average Americans has disappeared right down the toilet.

Once such example is his views regarding Israel. As he steps up the heat and pressures Israel, while at the same time catering to Muslim demands, the populace increases their support for the Jewish nation.

Perhaps, if Obama wants to push forth on a particular issue, he should campaign against it. Maybe then, he could get the American people to support what his real agenda is.

Negotiation dividends: 7% increase in support for Israel since July

"A poll conducted for the Israel Project shows that since July, the percentage of Americans who believe that their government should back Israel in its dispute with the 'Palestinians' has increased from 51% to 58%.


'Of 800 people questioned, 58 percent thought the U.S. should support Israel – a jump of 7 percent on a similar poll in July.

Seven percent thought the U.S. should support the Palestinians, while six percent said America should back neither side.

A majority of respondents (58 percent) also thought Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was committed to making peace, while 40 percent thought the same of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

“Support for Israel among Americans remains strong and steady,” said pollster Neil Newhouse of Public Opinion Strategies.

The poll of 800 likely voters conducted between September 9 and September 12 by Public Opinion Strategies and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research found, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.'


I can think of other reasons why that percentage might have increased. I don't see anything here that draws a direct connection between the increase in support for Israel and the 'peace talks.'"
