Sharia Law 90% Compatible with the Constitution?

Birds of a feather flock together. We can tell the character of a man by the company he keeps.

Americans sure learned that lesson the hard way when they elected the most radical politician in the history of our country. Oh, the media tried to tell us that we shouldn't judge Obama on the company he kept, as in Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.

How's that working out for you moderates who fell for the "hope and change" message? I'll betcha you weren't anticipating the kind of change that has come our way.

Moral of the story: an individual's associates are a barometer revealing the character and mindset of that person. After all, would you hang out with Ayers or Wright? I didn't think so.

That being said, we need to examine an associate of the notorious Imam Rauf. Yes, his good buddy and long-time partner, Faiz Khan, is a "truther". Now, that sure sounds like a moderate position, doesn't it?

If that doesn't convince you that Rauf is far from being a moderate, maybe this will. From Atlas Shrugs:

Extremist Imam Rauf Today: "90% of Sharia law is fully compatible -- not only compatible -- it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor."

"Full audio here - Minute 58:40: '90% of Sharia law is fully compatible -- not only compatible -- it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor.' Imam Rauf (more supremacist rhetoric here) hat tip Kamala

The objective of the stealth jihadists and the Muslim Brotherhood proxies in the US (CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA, et al) is to impose Islam and sharia on the US, and so it is with Ground Zero Mosque Imam Rauf.

Rauf is mainstreaming the sharia and the jihad ideology. In suggesting that those of us defending American freedom are the 'extremists' and placing us squarely on the same moral playing field as the Muslim terrorists who flew planes into buildings and have since committed close to 20,000 Islamic attacks of violent jihad across the world, this subversive Imam (and media darling) shows just how deeply we have been infiltrated by the enemy.

Make no mistake, Rauf did this. Rauf created this maelstrom. Rauf created this divisiveness. Rauf created this fight and he is loving every minute of it. It's all Islam, all the time. He could have done the decent thing months ago and shown some modicum of human compassion. He is incapable of that and everybody knows it."

More here.

"90% of Sharia law is fully compatible -- not only compatible -- it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor."

Oh really? Is it Constitutional to practice honor killings? Is it an American practice to marry young girls, and I mean pre-teens or younger, to old men? Is it customary in the U.S. to threaten apostates with death? Does our Constitution advocate beating women? Do we ban non-Christians from entering our cities, as the Saudis do in Mecca? How stupid does this man think we are?

Give me a break with this 90% compatible nonsense.

Geller is a proven liar and Religious Rightwingnut zealot. Who cares what she has to say about anything?

I don't know if Sharia is 90% compatible with th Constitution or not. And I don't care. It's not because I'm a "liberal"; it's because I know damn well that The United States of America is not going to adopt Sharia law, PERIOD.

Nuts like Geller are raising this bogus non-issue simply to scare people into fighting all things Muslim. That's overkill to the nth degree, but that's exactly what nuts like Geller and Ms. MoreLies want: an overreaction against Islam. And they don't care what they have to say or do to get it. (And the truly ironic twist is that they love to cite Islam's "permission" to lie to people outside the Muslim faith. Geller and MoreLies do it all the time, and last time I checked, Judaism and Christianity don't offer permission to lie.
