More Reaction to Koran Abuse

Let's be clear here; I oppose the burning of Korans. It reflects poorly on Christianity, and the Lord must be grieved to see Christians acting so provocatively.

On the other hand, Islam must be exposed for its intolerance and political goal of world domination. This is a difficult balance which must be achieved in order to stop the Islamization of America.

If Islam in the U.S. were only about peaceful Muslims worshiping in their mosques, no one would object. We could care less about Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, or Mormons building and worshiping in their respective houses of worship because we don't hear a peep from any of these groups--no demands whatsoever. But sadly, this is not the case when it comes to Islam.

Jesus has been mocked and demeaned by those on the left for decades and Christians have sat back and endured the blasphemous attacks on our Lord without responding with violence. But now that Islam is the target of attack, Muslims cannot seem to display the same self-control.

Ultimately, we are each responsible for how we react to abuse directed our way, and more and more, too many Muslims cannot refrain from responding with vengeance because the prophet they follow was nothing more than a warlord himself.

Yesterday, I commented that we had not heard anything from the Pakistanis regarding the attack on Korans. Well, guess what? They are back to their old tricks.

From Weasel Zippers:

Pakistan: Rampaging Muslim Mob Furious Over Cancelled Koran Burning in Florida Torch Church, Christian School, Both Completely Destroyed

"New Delhi (AsiaNews) – 'Muslim extremists set fire to a Church and to a Christian school in Punjab in reaction to the proposed Qur‘an burning by Rev Terry Jones, a US clergyman, in order to commemorate 9/11, an action he later abandoned but still caused protests among Muslims and anti-Christian violence. In India, the latter have taken a distinctly political and separatist tone. The resulting incidents with police left 11 people dead.

The Christian Society Mission School was set on fire this morning in Tangmarg, near Gulmarg. Rumours had already spread that it might be targeted but the authorities ignored them. When fire fighters tried to put out the wood-made church, they were stopped by a mob. The entire building burnt to the ground but students were not hurt.

However, this was not the only act of violence. Demonstrators also stormed a government building and clashed with police. Seven people were killed, including a police officer. Four more people died in earlier protests.

“The [church] fire was fuelled by both rumours of an alleged burning of the Qur‘an and the political situation” in the state, Mgr Peter Celestine, bishop of Jammu-Srinagar, told AsiaNews. “Witnesses said that hundreds of people were on streets yesterday night.” From there, they “barged into the school building and set it ablaze. Curfew has been imposed.”'"

Twelve dead in Kashmir, Christian school torched over Qur'an desecration

"More madness. 'Twelve dead in Kashmir, Christian school torched,' by Izhar Wani for AFP, September 13 (thanks to Maxwell):

SRINAGAR, India (AFP) - 'Indian police shot dead 12 people in Kashmir on Monday as stone-throwing protesters defied curfews and torched a Christian school in a surge of anger stoked by the desecration of the Koran.

The death toll was the highest for a single day since a wave of anti-India demonstrations began three months ago, with 83 civilians now killed in unrest in the disputed Muslim-majority region. One policeman was also killed Monday....

Some of Monday's worst violence was reported in Tangmarg village, 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the region's main town of Srinagar, where a crowd chanted anti-US and pro-Islam slogans before burning down a missionary school.'"
