The left loves to accuse Christians of intolerance because we hold the Biblical view that homosexuality is a sin. Yet, they defend all things Islamic. Christians believe that God loves the homosexual, but hates their perversion and that mistreatment of gays is unacceptable. Muslims, on the other hand, kill homosexuals because of their sexual orientation. And we are the intolerant ones?
Liberals have also been quick to accuse Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush of being war mongers, but somehow they make excuses for jihadists. How many innocent people must the Islamists kill before the left wakes up to the truth that Islam is NOT a religion of peace?
The real reason leftists despise Christianity is because it is a threat to their ungodly policies.
Read more about the left's hostility toward Christians, via Jihad Watch:
Why won't the Left defend Christians as fiercely as it defends Muslims?
"In 'Why Won't the Left Defend Christians As Fiercely As It Defends Muslims?,' Andrea Tantaros at FoxNews.com (August 6) zeroes in on fashionable moral equivalence:
'The battle over the proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero has sparked outrage and fury.
The argument from those who oppose it: it's an incredibly insensitive move designed to deliberately provoke the nation from a radical Imam who says the U.S. is culpable for the attacks of 9/11. They're correct.
What's surprising is the level of outrage from the other side -- mostly those on the left - who argue we must allow the building of the mosque and community center in the name of tolerance of Islam. Where are these shrieking voices in defense when other religions like Christianity and Judaism are under attack?
There has always been a double standard when it comes to understanding and explaining the Muslim religion verses [sic] Christianity.
While many Muslim countries ban women from voting, driving a car, and threaten to kill anyone who speaks of Christ within their borders, you rarely hear those on the left invoke sharp criticism or shake their finger in fury.
Instead, they save the attacks and their selective attention span for the random "Christian" who blocks an abortion clinic.
When the radical Islamic Fort Hood shooter claimed the life of twelve soldiers, the media dubbed him "troubled."
A CNN.com article, along with many others, only identified him an 'Army psychologist' and failed to make any reference to his ties to radical jihadism or make initial references to his religion - even after e-mails were found detailing his extremist views.
But when a Michigan-based militia group was indicted in an alleged plot to kill law enforcement officers with improvised explosive devices they were quickly - and inaccurately - labeled as a "Christian militia group" - not just in the body of an ABC News.com article, but in the headline, too....'"

Here's some background information.
Newt and you other rightwingnuts ignore one basic difference:
How Muslim nations treat Christians or Jews (or others) within their own borders is largely beyond our control. Nobody's suggesting that Islam is all-tolerant.
How WE treat religions in this country is supposed to be different; America holds itself to a higher standard than do most Muslim countries.
Newt disingenuously says we should allow a maosque near Ground Zero as soon as the Saudis allow Christian churches within their country. The minute we lower our American standards, the second we succumb to that sort of "reasoning" the terrorists win.
And you, Diogenes, missed one important point. Yes, we should treat people well from all religions. But, what about Christian persecution? I noticed you totally ignored that little tidbit.
You always rise up in defense of anything evil, but when it comes to Christians, you have no problem with them being persecuted. In fact, you defend their persecution. Rather odd, coming from a Christian, don't you think?
Thumbsucking diogenASS a Christian?
If you believe that, then I got some beach-front property for sale in Arizona, Cheap!
Actually, I don't believe that; I'm just quoting Diogenes.
I'll say it again diodummy; i'll pay your way to the muslim nation of your choice(one-way ticket of course). When you exit the plane, be sure to have your pro-choice and pro-homosexual signs ready to go. You will then find out how "tolerant" the muslim idiots you defend are. I'm sure you'll come back with some "educated" response about how backwards my thinking is, but no real reason why you would defend the real backwards thinkers in the world. These are the same idiots who will not eat an "unclean animal" but will wipe their a#$ with their bare hand. The same people who can't afford shoes but somehow manage to have a 5000.00 rocket launcher. The same people who will kill a 14 year-old girl because she (gasp) refuses to marry some stinky, hairy, perverted 60 yr-old muslim man. They would do the same in America if they thought they could get away with it. It's no wonder they are light-years behind the rest of the civilized world. We built them soccer fields and they used them as execution venues. Let me know when you want your ticket dumbass!!!
Gee, JustaDumbass, you keep earning your nickname, over and over.
This is not about Islam being tolerant. This is about America being tolerant of all religions, even ones we find illogical, perverse, contradictory, or even downright offensive. It's about OUR actions, not the Muslims, moron.
Ms. MoreLies, you ask about persecution of Christians. IF the persecution were here in this country, then we could do something about it. But what you cited is perceived persecution overseas, specifically in Muslim nations. We cannot control that. I wish they were more tolerant of other religions in Saudi Arabia, but they're not, and it's their country. America is OUR country, and we shouldn't lower ourselves to the low standards that some Muslim nations set for themselves.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
And AnonyMouse, here's my response to your thought-provoking commentary:
Diogenes, in this instance, I was referrring to persecution of Christians on American soil.
DiogenASS: It doesn't matter if the persecution of Christians is here or abroad, it's attacking Christianity, Period!
Christianity is a world wide religion and Christians should defend other Christian brothers and sisters from any persecution, no matter where it happens.
It's not about two wrongs don't make a right, you dope!
If Muslims aren’t tolerant of Christianity and continue to persecute and kill Christians, why should Christians be tolerant of them and continue to give them a pass in the name of political correctness?
Political Correctness is your religion, not ours.
you and the leftwingloons think Christians should turn the other cheek while their brothers and sisters are being persecuted and killed by Muslims throughout the world?
that’s why you and the left will lose in the end!
atheist like yourself care about one thing and one thing only, Yourselves.
LMAO. You are RIDICULOUS, AnonyMouse!
"you and the leftwingloons think Christians should turn the other cheek while their brothers and sisters are being persecuted and killed by Muslims throughout the world?"
I do, yes. Other leftwing loons probably do, too.
But we don't count.
What we think isn't important.
Check out Matthew 5:39 and Luke 6:29.
See what The Man who you claim to worship had to say on the subject, you putz!
Jesus tells real Christians EXACTLY what He thought... don't know what you think you learned in whatever you call your church.
And no, the government of the United States isn't supposed to treat other people in an unconstitutional manner, even if their home countries don't reciprocate. How WE deal with them is our issue; how THEY deal with us is their issue. I don't like some of their treatment of Christians (or Jews), I will argue that it's immoral and unfair, but none of that gives us the right, as Americans, to ignore what OUR Constitution has to say.
And Ms. MoreLies, since this post had nothing to do with your perception that Christians are "persecuted" here in the U.S., you confused me. What persecutions are you referring to?
And please, bear in mind that "persecution" doesn't mean that anybody who calls themselves a Christian can do or say anything they want, at any time, in any place in America.
DiogenASS: Here’s the source fool! You do the math!
And to think it's your internet source for information, wiki-lib
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Christians
Currently (as of 2010), as estimated by Open Doors UK, an estimated 100 million Christians face persecution, particularly in the Muslim world, North Korea and the hands of Hindu extremism and Islamic terrorism in India, with a rising tendency.
I would say that Christians are being "persecuted" by Muslims throughout the world, wouldn't you thumbsucker?
DiogenASS: you want verification that "persecution" of Christians by Muslims really does exist.
Pick a country!
http://www.compassdirect.org/
Christians are constantly being mocked on TV, movies, artwork, etc. Special accomodations are being made for Muslims in schools, airports, universities, etc., while Jesus is being tossed out of public places. Wake up! It's happening all around you.
Jesus isn't being tossed out of public places. Self-righteous Religious Rightwingnut evangelicals' belief tat they are entitled to PRAY to Jesus and force the rest of the public to listen in is not "persecution".
Even designating a small location to accomodate a Muslim's daily prayers is not the same is carvin the Ten Commandments into the foyer of a public school.
And AnonyMouse in case you haven't figured it out yet, you're completely off-base with your whining about Christian perseuction overseas. I never doubted that such persecution exists but I suggested that persecution of Christian in, say, Saudi Arabia, means nothing about how we should treat religions here in the the U.S. It was Ms.MoreLies who said she wasn't talking about persecution overseas, but here in America instead. As usual, you're at least three steps behind the actual conversation being held... and it's getting increasingly clear that nobody should waste their time waiting for you to catch up. It ain't happening, no matter how long we wait!
Just goes to show people interpret the bible as they wish.
Diodummy: You constantly qoute verse after verse from the bible, right? You love abortion, right.
Thou shalt not kill. Liberals love to play God, being that they are the SMARTEST beings on the planet.
Homosexuality is also forbidden in the bible. Doesn't stop you from defending gay rights now does it.
Nobody's perfect, but do us all a favor.
Use some of that self-declared super intellect of yours to understand that you can't have your cake and eat it too.
Spare us your constant spewing of your dumb as dirt points of view.
By the way, have you gave all your money and possesions away to the poor yet. Just wondering. And i don't lose any sleep over what YOU think of me.
I think muslims are insane.
JustaDumbass: "You constantly quote verse after verse from the bible, right?"
No, not constantly. Occasionally. But when the erudite AnonyMouse actually wonders why Christians are supposed to turn the other cheek???? That's just low-hanging fruit... too easy to let go.
JustaDumbass: "Liberals love to play God, being that they are the SMARTEST beings on the planet..." "Use some of that self-declared super intellect of yours..."
No, again, you are confused, JustaDumbass. I never suggested -- or ever thought -- that I was one of the smartest beings on the planet or that I have a super intellect. I'm just smarter than you. Much. So I can understand your confusion.
JustaDumbass: "You love abortion, right. Thou shalt not kill."
I think the intent of the Commandment is thou shall not kill.... human beings. I (and millions of others who consider themselves Christians, even if you Religious Rightwingnuts don't) don't believe that a woman terminating a fetus during her pregnancy qualifies as "killing". And, before you offer the knee-jerk "kill means kill" let me point out that we're allowed to kill SOME things, like animals, right? So there are obviously SOME exceptions to your overly simplistic rule. And you have no problem executing murderers, and that, technically at least, is a "kill". And killing someone in self-defense is OK. And you'd probably excuse anyone who chose to terminate the life of, say, Hitler back in the 1930s, right? So "kill" is NOT just "kill".
JustaDumbass: "Homosexuality is also forbidden in the bible."
True. But then again, so is shellfish, and pork, in the same book of the Bible, Leviticus... and I thoroughly enjoyed a good shrimp cocktail (before BP) with a nice pork chop on occasion.
JustaDubass: "Doesn't stop you from defending gay rights now does it."
Nope, because what our secular government condones or outlaws shouldn't be based on what my religion or your religion condones or outlaws. We CHOOSE to believe in what we believe in, but we have no right to impose our religious beliefs on anybody else.
