Hillary Clinton: Big Time Giver

If Hillary Clinton is our example in generosity, charities are in real trouble. She was quick to inform us that she gave a whopping $10 for flood relief efforts in Pakistan. Now, I'm not sure what the Clintons made in 2009, but I Googled their 2007 earnings, and they were estimated at $20,400,000. Just to verify Hillary's level of generosity, I determined that her gift represented .0000004 of the Clintons' yearly income. Four ten-millionths!

Based on those figures, if the average American making $46,326 follows Hillary's example, he should give 2 cents. That's give us an idea of the sacrifice Hill made.

I guess we should give Hillary a pass. She did just have to fork over between $2-5 million for Chelsea's lavish wedding.

These libs are always generous with our money, not so much their own. There's tight-wad Joe Biden, the White House comedian and gaffe machine. Then, there's the big-giving Obamas who averaged around 1% of their income in charitable giving prior to 2005. When Barack realized he had great political potential, he upped his giving. In 2006, the Obamas gave $22,500 to Trinity United Church of Christ under the leadership of the anti-white, anti-Semite Jeremiah Wright, whom he never listened to. Interesting! What couple donates that kind of money to a church that they don't strongly support?

Conservatives have a history of being more generous than liberals.

'Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pressed Americans on Wednesday to donate money to flood relief efforts in Pakistan, saying she is leading by example and just made a $10 donation herself.

“I just texted a contribution myself, because we know from our own experience, particularly in Haiti, small donations can add up to make a big difference,” Clinton told reporters on Wednesday.

“Americans have always shown great generosity to people facing crises worldwide. So I urge Americans to join this effort and send some much needed help to the people of Pakistan.”

Clinton urged people to text the word “SWAT” to the number, 50555, and reply “yes” when asked to confirm, in order to make a $10 donation to help the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.

The money will be put toward providing tents, clothing, food, clean drinking water and medicine to the more than 3 million people affected by the massive flooding in the Swat Valley, Clinton said.

The U.S. has already committed $10 million in aid, deploying a number of “relief experts” to airlift hundreds of people out of harm’s way. The U.S. has also been working with the Pakistani government, conducting search and rescue missions, supplying the area with temporary bridges and providing water purification systems to those in need.'


I guess she had a little left over from Chelsea’s wedding.
