Marxism in Public Schools--UPDATED

The radicalism in our public schools never ceases to amaze me. It's as if we are living in the former Soviet Union. No wonder Diogenes believes as he does. It's in the public school drinking water, the curriculum, the teachers' union, the rest rooms, the extra-curricular activities, the teachers' lounge, etc.

God-fearing, America-loving teachers and students must find it difficult to escape the leftist propaganda being propagated in our government schools.

Read from Gateway Pundit:

NEA Removes Post Encouraging Teachers To Celebrate Chinese Communist Revolution

"After I posted the Article this morning about the National Education Association (NEA) and their recommendation that their members read Saul Alinksy’s 'Rules for Radicals', I decided to do a little digging.

It would appear that Alinsky is not the only Communist the NEA seems to hold in high regard.

According to an Article in the World Net Daily (WND), the NEA is partial to the Communist leader Chairman Mao.

On the NEA website, in the Diversity calendar, there was a posting on October 1st that read this:

'OCT 1

Communist China Established

In Tiananmen Square in 1949, Mao Zedong, Chairman of the Communist Party of China, proclaimed the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. Saying that the “Chinese People have stood up
!”'

Here is the Screen shot that was taken by WND (Click here to Enlarge):

After WND posted their Article, the NEA quickly removed the reference to Mao and the Communist take over of China.

Here is a Screen shot of the Diversity Calendar now since it’s been scrubbed(Click here to Enlarge):
nea mao

Notice how the October 1st posting is now missing from the calendar.

WND says that the NEA was not available for comment about why the original posting was even done or the reason for the removal of it.

Amazing how a large Teachers union, like the NEA, would encourage their teachers to celebrate the Chinese Communist Revolution that killed Millions just because of one of their apparent idols is Mao. The History Channel even did a Series on Mao and his atrocities called Declassified: Chairman Mao. All five parts are on You Tube and can be watched here.

One could say the fact that the NEA is promoting two radical Communists, like Mao and Alinsky, is just a coincidence and that they are only interested in promoting Diversity.

Well if that was the case, then why pull the Mao Posting at all and without an explanation?

Avoiding a fake Controversy?

Or Protecting a Radical Agenda….?"

What a load of nothing.

I for one have never even looked at the NEA Diversity Calendar. When I just went searching for it online, it says that the Diversity Calendar contains "information about major events observed by the diverse people of the United States". It's a real stretch to claim that the NEA is encouraging its teachers to celebrate te Chinese Communist revolution, and an even bigger laugh to suggest that Mao is one of our idols.

If anything, the NEA is one of the more patriotic organizations I've witnessed. The annual convention is always held in the beginning of July and, on July 4, I guarantee that you'll not find a bigger crowd with more red, white, and blue get-ups than the teachers at that convention. And the teachers take a lt of pride in the fact that they have the largest democratically-elected assembly anywhere in the world...there are over 15,000 delegates sent to the annual Representative Assembly.

A few years back, my wife and I attended as representatives from Colorado, and the RA was in Washington DC that year. All RA business was wrapped up by 5 PM on July 4th, to allow us all the opportunity to go down to the Mall and take in the big music and fireworks show that's televised on PBS every year. It was a blast!

I dare you or any of your other ignorant rightwingnut friends to confront one of those teachers and tell them how unpatriotic they are, and how much they idolize Mao Zedong... it ain't happening. Period.

And from an historical standpoint, Ms. MoreLies, if we're living in the former Soviet Union, as you suggested, I doubt we'd be celebrating the Chinese Communist revolution. I know that this will come as a shock to you, since you know so little world history, but the Soviets and the Chinese never really cared much for each other. And you tell us all about the "drinking water, the teachers' union, the rest rooms, the extra-curricular activites, the teachers' lounge, etc." But I have a question:

When's the last time you set foot in a public school? All you know about public schools is what some other Religious Rightwingnut tells you!

I used to do Bible Release Time clubs and pick up elementary school children to take them to a nearby church for Bible lessons.

It wasn't the teachers who I was exposing in this article, but the NEA and its leftist agenda. I'm well aware that there are many fine devoted teachers without an agenda. Too bad you are not one of them.

I'm well aware that the Chinese and Soviets are not one and the same. I was just trying to make a point about the indoctrination in our schools, and historically we've heard more about Soviet propaganda than Chinese.

These crazy organizations push this agenda because they believe that if their plans ever happen that they will be among the "privileged few" and "protected". Hitler also believed in indoctrinating and brainwashing the children of germany. That way, they would follow him without question. Why would these idiots idolize a man that murdered 25 million people? These people, and diodumbass, need professional help.

The NEA isn't a Communist organization. It's a professional organization for teachers, and it's one of the largest (if not the largest) union in the country.

Claiming teachers as a group are largely Communists is as ridiculous as you continuing to claim that you're a Christian.

JustaDumbass, you're a.... dumbass.

How does an entry on an online diversity calendar equate to an entire national organization of tecahers "idolizing" Mao?

And the one thin that NO teacher thinks is that they're in the "privileged few" or "protected". We've ever been such, in any society.

About the same as someone who advocates for homosexuals and muslims claiming to be a christian. And certainly this organization would not claim any communist or marxist ties, but actions speak louder than words.

Despite your narrow-mindededness, there are plenty of Christians who find it to be possible to be tolerant of homosexuality and Islam. Your problem, as is the case with many religious Rightwingnuts, is that your head is so far up your posterior, you have tunnel vision.

the greatest thing about America is that we are a nation of multiple cultures, and we tolerate them. We don't put anybody on a skewer and roast them, even if THEIR stated goal is to put US on a skewer!

I'm not a Muslim, a homosexual, or a Communist... but I will defend THEIR right to be a Muslim, a homosexual, or a Communist. And they should not be subject to persecution by the likes of Religious Rightwingnut bigots or anybody else.

The blog spot http://revisedhistory.wordpress.com has several articles dealing with the leftist influence so prominent in public education nowadays. There is one there about the NEA, which can hardly be called a patriotic organization. Check out Amazon.com for a book by Sam Blumenfeld called "NEA--Trojan Horse in American Education." It is a well-researched expose of the NEA.
