28% of Americans Agree with Obama on Arizona Immigration Law

How out of touch is President Obama and his administration on the Arizona immigration law? A whopping 28% of those polled agree with the president on this issue. I guess the fact that he differs with the majority of us on this controversial issue should be no surprise because he is a hardcore liberal, and only 20% of Americans classify themselves as liberals.

Read from Rasmussen Reports:

56% Oppose Justice Department Challenge of Arizona Law; 61% Favor Similar Law In Their State

"Voters by a two-to-one margin oppose the U.S. Justice Department’s decision to challenge the legality of Arizona’s new immigration law in federal court. Sixty-one percent (61%), in fact, favor passage of a law like Arizona’s in their own state, up six points from two months ago.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 28% of voters agree that the Justice Department should challenge the state law. Fifty-six percent (56%) disagree and another 16% are not sure."

Read it all.

What will it take for you to realize that constitutional law issues are probably not best decided by the masses, most of whom couldn't spell C-O-N-S-T-I-T-U-T-I-O-N ?

Your publicity polls are meaningless, thank goodness. As are your opinions.

This has nothing to do with the Constitution. It's about trying to rally Hispanic voters. That's been the case for Republicans and Democrats, and it's wrong on both counts.

The borders need secured, and there is NOTHING unConstitutional about this law.

Look up the "supremacy clause", Ms. Lawyer Wannabe.

Come to think of it, you'd make some money as a lawyer; you've got the liar part down pat, already. All you'd have to do is find and develop some sense of intelligence, logic, reasoning, etc etc etc

On second thought, forget it... life's too short.

Amendment XI – The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit of law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.

Clearly, the administration has committed an Unconstitutional Act against the State of Arizona by its actions bearing on statements by Senator Kyl and the DOJ’s admittance of the nation, Mexico in a lawsuit against the State of Arizona.

The administrations playing of politics with Citizens lives and welfare is another of Obama’s mounting list of high crimes and misdemeanors.

In reality, it is the Obama regime that is defying the Constitution.

Article IV, Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

Where's the protection from invasion?

Yes, Ms. MoreLies, you found the right passage in the Constitution. It is up to the federa government to protect the nation and each of the individual states. But if a state (AZ) doesn't feel that the federal government is doing a proper job, it's not within their purview to take matters into their own hands and pass their own slipshod legislation. Governmental vigilantism is not the way to go.

What you really need to look at is Article VI, Clause 2:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

That's the "supremacy clause" and that's what's at issue in AZ.

And AnonyMouse? You're way out in right field, yet again. The constitutional clause you cited has no relevance AT ALL, since it refers to the "judicial power" of the U.S., which is not even the right branch of government; Obama and Company are the Executive Branch, you see. And the clause you cited only prohibits a state being sued by a citizen of another state or by a foreign country... hich, of course, has nothing at all to do with anything happening in AZ. Most junior high school students understand the three branches o government and our system of checks and balances, but I guess you slept through all those classes. So, Dumbo the Clown, no impeachment opportunity. So sad for you.

DiogenASS: The President, his administration, and its employees are citizens of the United States of America (arguably in one case at least). Regardless of their positions, they are still citizens.

But yet, the DOJ are still bringing suit in a Federal Court against a sovereign state of the union.

Since the DOJ is doing this, it constitutes yet another high crime or misdemeanor because the President of the United States is condoning the action, thereby once again breaking his oath of office. He is not upholding, or protecting the Constitution of the United States. Instead he seeks once again to dance around the Constitution for nefarious political purposes which constitutes treasonous activity.

Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico dislikes the Arizona Law and since he issued a travel advisory against Arizona to his Mexican citizens, it can be construed that the DOJ is acting to benefit a foreign power against the wishes of a sovereign state of the union.

When it comes to Arizona’s immigration law, just 28% favor the Justice Department lawsuit against the state while twice as many are opposed.

The latest poll by Democracy Corps, the firm of James Carville and Stan Greenberg, 55 percent of likely voters think “socialist” is a reasonably accurate way of describing Obama.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14

Impeach!

AnonyMouse, that is probably the craziest "analysis" you've ever provided on this blog. It's so idiotically off-base, evena high school student would tear it to shreds.

Do you not think that somebody would have picked up on the illegality of the lawsuit, if it was that easy to spot? Eric Holder isn't suing AZ as an individual citizen, you moron, the United States of America is suing AZ, and the United States of America is not a "citizen".

I have an idea for you , though, AnonyMouse. I've thought it through, and cleared it with the Faux Noise lawyers. (Actually, they don't have any lawyers, so I checked it with Glenn Beck's intern.) YOU should convene a private citizen grand jury and file criminal charges against Barack Hussein Obama, then have him impeached. Check into that.... it ought to work just fine.
