President Obama is not responsible for the oil disaster in the Gulf, but he certainly should be held accountable for his response. The environmentalist president is milking this catastrophe for all its worth and at the expense of hurting Gulf residents whom he obviously cares nothing about. A caring president would never have said the following:

Obama Says Oil Spill Is Like 9-11… But Sends Only 20 of 2,000 US Oil Skimmer Boats to Florida Coast
"Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse…
Last week Barack Obama told Politico that the BP oil spill was like 9-11–
But, it’s been over 60 days since the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion and he’s only sent 20 of 2,000 US oil skimmer boats to the coast of Florida.
Senator George LeMieux of Florida told the Shark Tank that there are only 20 skimmer boats off the coast of Florida out of 2,000 available skimmer boats in the United States. Lemieux says that Obama is afraid to move them to Florida because there won’t be any in place in case there is an oil leak somewhere else.
…That sounds like Obama.

This is why we have a federal government. I can't blame the Florida senator for looking out for what's best for Florida, but there ARE other concerns:
1. Are the Senator's numbers accurate? I couldn't find anything online, one way or another.
2. What types of skimmers are included in the Senator's reckoning of 200 skimmers? I don't know aything about skimmers, but I do know that there's all sorts of different equipment used on inland waterways than are used in our oceans. And how many of those skimmers are in, say, Alaska? How would they be transported to the Gulf?
3. Notice that the Senator said that only 20 are off Florida's coast. How many are in use off the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi and/or Alabama?
All that being said, I think the Coast Guard isn't handling this response coordination very well. But remember, part of the problem now is that BP (possibly quite intentionally) tremendously low-balled the magnitude of the spill early on. It wasn't until weeks down the road that the flow projections were increased, which triggered a ramp-up of relief efforts. If BP had been more honest from the get-go, it would have helped.
Funny, but other than this one Senator's claim, nobody seems to corroborate that there are 2000 skimmers.
There IS a report from one Florida newspaper from Jacksonville that says there are a total of 34 shallow-water skimemrs owned by the U.S. Navy, and 27 are to be deployed to the Gulf. And, again, the Coast Guard seems to be more than a little lax in their responsiveness, since they first requested those skimmers on June 16.

Hence, the nickname. And this episode really captures the essence of Barely True LeMieux. He found a legitimate, worthwhile piece of criticism. He could have used it constructively or destructively. That is, he could have recognized that the administration wants the skimmers as much as he does and joined with it in trying to remove the bureaucratic obstacles: the constructive path.
Instead, he chose the destructive one. Oversimplify, exaggerate, then blame, creating the kind of confusion that only makes matters worse. LeMieux's obsession with skimmers may seem genuine, but it's dwarfed by his obsession with scoring political points.
Instead of exposing a "liberal lie" you exposed a wild distortion and politicization of the spill by a Conservative pol.
Nice job, even if it was a case of your intent backfiring in your own face!
nice post thanks for sharing Oil Spill Skimmer
