FYI, Thomas was born of Lebanese immigrants to the U.S., which explains her anti-Zionism. I lived in Beirut for two years and hate for Israel is in the drinking water. This woman needs to be fired, but that's not likely to happen since those in the media, as well as the White House, share her sentiment.

Look, this would never stand under any other administration. The fact that Palestinian Jews were in Israel (Transjordan, Palestine) thousands of years before and during and after the Palestinian Muslims began their Islamic anti-semitic genocidal massacres is ignored by the morally depraved Thomas and her ilk.
Has The White House thrown her out on her ugly Jew-hating keyster? Not a chance.

How does the White House go about "throwing out" a reporter? The White House correspondent with the longest tenure, by far? She's not a government employee, you know. She's covered every President since Dwight Eisenhower. "This would never stand under any other administration"? What hogwash! If Hearst Publications wants to fire her, they can... but it's not up to anyone in the administration to do it. ever hear of the First Amendment? Or do you only believe in the First Amendment when it's people saying things that you LIKE?
And the picture of Thomas and Obama in the White House pressroom is the cheapest of cheap shots. The photo is from last August, long before this rightwingnut-manufactured controversy. It so happens that Helen Thomas and Barack Obama share the same birthday, August 4, so they brought a birthday cake out for her and Obama led the press corps in singing Happy Birthday to her.

First off, Helen Thomas is NOT Obama's correspondent. LIE #1.
Secondly, Thomas never said that Jews should go back to the ovens". LIE #2. She said that, in her opinion, Jews should leave Palestine and go back to where they emigrated from, namely Germany and Poland and the U.S. Do I think her idea is right? No. But it wasn't a suggestion that Jews should return to concentration death camps.
I'm not so sure it wasn't. Why choose to mention Poland and Germany? They did both have concentration camps. She's an Arab, and Arabs hate Israel. Many would love to see Israelis put in a concentration camp.
BTW, Helen Thomas was labeled "Obama's correspondent" because she's an Obama lapdog.
Once again, you have that unusual standard: you can say whatever you want about whoever you want, and THEY have to prove you wrong. Is that your concept of what not bearing false witness is about? Nothing's a lie, unless others can prove you're lying? How pathetic.
Helen Thomas is not a lapdog to anybody. Granted, she's not exactly a guard dog or attack dog, either, but she's criticized Obama.
Having the good graces to accept a brithday cake from a President with whom you sare a birthday -- with the entire White House press corps smiling and singing behind you -- doesn't mean it affects your objectivity. It merely means you know how to be gracious -- something you're obviously not familiar with.
Hey, good news: Helen Thomas' literary agent/speech coordinator "fired" her, so no more bookings for her, it looks like. That's the way the free market works, as it should. Not this whacky idea that the President should somehow fire someone who doesn't work for the government.
It IS funny to realize that you, Ms. MoreLies, were so focused on the fact that Obama "fired" the president of General Motors even though he didn't have the authority to do so, but NOW the problem is that the President DIDN'T fire someone you want fired!
