Obama Takes Sides

Get ready for more disasters. Our president is licking his chops as he takes advantage of another opportunity to stick it to Israel. The anti-Semitic, anti-Israel Barack Hussein Obama has taken sides on the flotilla incident, and it's not with Israel; he's with the savages. What a shock!

Horrible! Obama Administration Is Pushing For Investigation of Israel

"The Obama Administration is pushing for an international investigation of Israel’s defense and preservation of its homeland.
Obama abandons Israel.
Anne Bayefsky from EYE on the UN published this article today at Forbes:

'The Obama administration is pushing for an internationalized investigation of Israel’s recent effort to preserve its naval blockade of Hamas-run Gaza. In an extraordinary interference with the sovereignty of a democratic society and its right of self-defense, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that the United States wants “a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation. … We are open to different ways of assuring a credible investigation, including international participation … ”

Assistant Secretary of State Philip J. Crowley elaborated that the administration was demanding Israel produce “an investigation that is broadly viewed as credible by the international community.” That would be the same international community which has condemned Israel without the facts, and which has refused to walk back their spontaneous reactions, though the video evidence of armed “civilian” attackers and martyr-seeking “humanitarians” now stares them in the face.

Late Monday night President Obama agreed to a unanimous U.N. Security Council presidential statement, which demanded “a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation conforming to international standards.” At the U.N. everyone knew that such language meant a new U.N.-sponsored investigation mirroring the infamous U.N. Goldstone Report on the 2009 Gaza war. That report was produced by four investigators who had all publicly declared Israel guilty before they began, and who operated under a mandate that incorporated a guilty verdict from the outset.

Right on cue–and encouraged by the Security Council statement–on Wednesday the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) adopted a resolution deciding “to dispatch an independent international fact-finding mission to investigate violations of international law, including humanitarian and human rights law, resulting from the Israeli attacks on the flotilla of ships carrying humanitarian assistance.”

In other words, once again the U.N. created a fact-finding mission to determine the facts it had already found. Among other things, the resolution states: “the Human Rights Council … condemns in the strongest terms the outrageous attack by the Israeli forces.”

While the Obama administration voted against the HRC resolution, it did not use its membership on the council to impede in any way the numerous breaches in procedure which made the debate and the introduction of the resolution to condemn Israel possible in the first place. Never in its history had the council held what was uniquely labeled an “urgent debate” on any human rights issue at all, anywhere
.'"

Israel is ALWAYS held to a much higher standard than other nations. The Jewish nation is expected to permit its enemies to endanger the Israeli people without defending themselves. Where is the outrage over North Korea sinking a South Korean naval ship and killing 46 sailors? Somehow, I don't think that act of war had anything to do with self-defense. Obama wasn't particularly concerned about that incident.

And even more disturbing is his refusal to hold Iran accountable for continuing in the pursuit of nuclear weapons. With these two evil regimes flexing their muscles, our president decides to go after little ole Israel. Welcome to the land of "hope and change".

The U.S. and Obama have been about the ONLY ones on the international scene that hasn't condemned Israel for its actions regarding the flotilla.

Israel (and other countries) certainly have a right to self-defense. But please, explain to us, Ms. MooreLies, how your concept of "self-defense" could somehow extend to cover Israeli commandos dropping from helicopters, boarding a foreign ship in international waters and killing nine passengers?

This is exactly why the legacy of Bush/Cheney is so dangerous in today's world. The idea that, because we might feel threatened someday, somewhere down the road, we have the God-given right to do whatever we want to do, to whomever we want to do it, TODAY. Bebe has simply adopted this American Rightwingnut attitude for himself and Israel.

There HAS to be some urgency, some imminency, of a threat before one can invoke the powers of self-defense. Without it, what's to stop anybody from walking down the street and blowing somebody else away, claiming tat they felt like they MIGHT be threatened in the future, so why wait? The concept has been around for centuries, for as long as we've had a common law system -- the "reasonable person" standard -- but somehow that's just not good enough for rightwingnuts.
