More Dirt on Elena Kagan

Photobucket

You really know how to pick 'em, Mr. President. A supreme court justice who has compared the NRA to the Klu Klux Klan? You have got to be kidding! It's becoming clearer and clearer that our president is out to lunch.

Read from Red State:

Kagan May Have Compared NRA to KKK

"Robert VerBruggen of National Review Online reports that Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee to be on the U.S. Supreme Court may have compared the NRA to the KKK. If true this is a shocking development in what has been a low key nominations battle. From NROnline:

'National Review has learned that in 1996, Kagan apparently tied the NRA to the KKK — yes, the KKK — while debating the Clinton administration’s position on a bill. The bill in question was the Volunteer Protection Act, which, when it was passed and signed the following year, protected some non-profits’ volunteer workers from tort liability in certain cases. The administration worried that it would apply to volunteers from unlikable non-profits.'

If true, this is further evidence that Elena Kagan has little to no respect for American’s right to 'keep and bear Arms.' Kagan needs to be asked if this is true in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing scheduled for June 28th. Kagan has a well documented hostility to gun rights and this new allegation may be a game changer for President Obama’s nominee to be Justice on the highest court in the land.

More from NROnline:

'Two documents discovered at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and obtained by National Review suggest that Kagan was involved in these discussions. One does not contain her name, but the handwriting appears to be hers. (You can see an example of Kagan’s handwriting here.) It has the name of administration colleague Fran Allegra at the top, and lists two “Bad guy orgs” that might be covered — the NRA and the KKK.

The second does have Kagan’s name on it; it is a memo from Allegra to Kagan. Allegra reports that he checked the IRS’s “Cumulative List of Organizations Described in Section 170(c)” — the list of tax-exempt organizations, which, he says, are the only organizations the bill would cover — and that neither the NRA nor the KKK was on it. “If you have other names you want me to run down in the Cumulative List, I would be glad to check them out,” he adds, suggesting that Kagan requested the initial check of the NRA and the KKK.

Is Kagan so hostile to gun rights that she would compare the top gun-rights organization in the United States with a viciously racist hate group? It sure looks that way. We look forward to her explanation
.'

Wow."

What percentage of the KKK do you figure are also members of the NRA? Just curious.

Also curious about this:

You've never said anything about hunting as your excuse for supporting an unlimited Second Amendment, Ms. MoreLies. So isn't it just a tad curious that a supposed devout "christian" like yourself would be so fervent about the right to carry the rocket-propelled grenade launcher of your choice? In your demented version of the New Testament, was Jesus carrying at the Last Supper? After raising Lazarus from the dead, did Jesus then mow him down with an AK-47 because Lazarus waasn't carrying the proper paperwork to establish he was a citizen of Arizona? Or is this another one of the many occasions when you choose to look to the Old Testament "an eye for an eye" credo as opposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ?

What a phony you are.

Somehow, I don't think the streets of Jerusalem during the years Jesus walked on this earth were near as dangerous as American streets are today. What a ludicrous comparison!

Who said anything about killing illegals? I just want the laws enforced and I don't want to have to pay for these people. My husband works his tail off. It's not fair that he should be expected to subsidize those who are here illegally.

I'm all for helping those in need, but I want to make that choice myself rather than our corrupt govt forcing it upon me.

Regarding hunting, I very much support hunting. Many depend on it as a source of food.

Rocket launchers aren't legal to the average citizen. And as i recall, guns weren't invented during Jesus's time here on earth. Americans have the right to defend themselves and their loved ones from the criminals. Our constitution says so. And illegal aliens aren't gunned down here every day. They are normally coddled by liberals even though they are criminals under our laws. I'm sure the dead Texas rancher would say illegals can be violent. Dictatorships always begin with disarming citizens first. If you don't want a gun that is your choice, but i will not give mine up. Criminals will always have weapons because DUH HUH, they are CRIMINALS. What's breaking one more law going to hurt? And i am a member of the NRA!!!!

And what percentage of liberal women are fat, ugly and butch. Maybe they're just constipated.

"Love thy neighbor" ??

"Do unto others" ??

Any of that ring a bell with you phonies?

No, all you know is "It's not fair!"

As for the relative safety of America in 2010 vs. Jerusalem:

Are there many cities in America (otherthan Arizona, of course) where one has to fear being arrested by the military and put to death the next day? Sounds pretty dangerous...

Spare me the hypocrisy, Diogenes. When it comes down to it, conservatives are far more generous with their money than liberals. We just don't want the govt in charge of our giving.

Those rightwing Christians whom you despise are the ones giving 10% of their income away while you leftists rant and rave and donate pennies to charity.

I'm not questioning your "charitable" impulses, Ms. MoreLies.

I'm just wondering where your "christian" sense of compassion might be hiding?

From one phony to another, and i quote: Love Thy Neighbor, Do unto others. Does this ring a bell with YOU PHONY?
You're just like every other piece of wagon riding, welfare receiving, union thug piece of trash out there.
Throw another 3rd grade fit.
Pissing you off really amuses me.
Take a Midol for bloating, you'll be fine.

JD, was there a semblance of an idea in that rant of yours? I'd be happy to respond, but you need to achieve a certain minimal level of coherence in order for this to work.

You don't piss me off, JD. I just wind up scratching my head, trying to figure out what the heck you're trying to say. (Please note that I hadn't even bothered to address any of your comments on this topic because they're so incomprehensible and off-topic.)

JD said...

You can't address what you can't defend. So as usual, you throw out insults. I'll go slowly this time OK. When you refer to bible verses, that SHOULD mean you follow them. Calling others phony when you do the same thing is just not right. But you are doing what sol alinsky said do. Accusing someone of a 3rd grade fit then throwing one yourself is hypocrisy. You see how it works? I think you may have breathed too much chalk dust in class pal.

Diogenes said...

Ohhhhhh I see. You mean, I should be nicer to Religious Rightwingnuts like Ms. MoreLies and AnonyMouse and you, Justa Dumbass? Is that what you mean?

Yeah, I probably should. But the bile you idiots spew make it impossible for me to be neighborly.

As for 3rd grade fits, it looks like you mentioned it, not me, but maybe I said it in commenting on another topic? I don't keep track.

But "inhaling chalk dust" is a knee-slapper. They haven't used chalkboards and chalk for a loooong time.

JD said...

No, i mean don't comment with highbrowed righteousness on how others should act, THEN act in the same manner you say others should'nt act. Typical idiot liberal mindset.
Better get back to work on your union protest sign.
Maybe you've inhaled too much magic marker chemicals instead of chalk dust.
