When President Obama seeks administration officials, he does one thing over and over again: he heads right for the sewers because that's the only place the scoundrels whom he selects can be found.
9/11 was not an act of war, eh? So says Obama's newest nominee for the Justice Department. Never in the history of our nation have we experienced the harsh reality regarding the comment "there are consequences to elections". Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are reaping the consequences of voting a radical America-hating inexperienced man into the most powerful office on the planet. Perhaps, there is more to a president than an eloquent tongue. America is learning this truth the hard way.
Read about this new justice nominee, via Gateway Pundit:
Shocker. Obama Justice Nominee Says 9-11 Was Not an Act of War
"Does this guy know anybody who’s not an Marxist, socialist or America-hating radical?
Obama’s nominee to be the number two official at the Justice Department, James Cole, wrote that the 9-11 attacks were not an act of war… in 2002. The only America-hating radicals brave enough to speak out against the US in 2002 were Ward Churchill, Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers… And, James Cole.
Where does Obama find these anti-American kooks?
CNS News reported, via Free Republic:
'Despite a resolution by Congress authorizing war against those responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, President Obama’s nominee to be the number two official at the Justice Department, James Cole, wrote an op-ed in 2002 likening the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon to the domestic crimes of murder, rape and child abuse, while arguing that the attackers ought to be treated like domestic criminals.
“But the attorney general is not a member of the military fighting a war–he is a prosecutor fighting crime,” Cole wrote in a Sept. 9, 2002 article in Legal Times that critiqued the way then-Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft was handling the 9/11 case.
“For all the rhetoric about war, the Sept. 11 attacks were criminal acts of terrorism against a civilian population, much like the terrorist acts of Timothy McVeigh in blowing up the federal building in Oklahoma City, or of Omar Abdel-Rahman in the first effort to blow up the World Trade Center,” said Cole. “The criminals responsible for these horrible acts were successfully tried and convicted under our criminal justice system, without the need for special procedures that altered traditional due process rights.
“Our country has faced many forms of devastating crime, including the scourge of the drug trade, the reign of organized crime, and countless acts of rape, child abuse, and murder. The acts of Sept. 11 were horrible, but so are these other things,” Cole wrote in his op-ed.'"

You know, you've got no business attacking this guy who you never heard of before another rightwingnut blogger gave you a green light to trash him.
Just reading the little bit you included in your cut & paste shows how his words are being twisted.
There is a legitimate conflict between those who feel that terrorists should be handled (or, more likely, mishandled) by the military and/or CIA and those who feel that it's a criminal law enforcement issue. You may not agree that it's up to law enforcement to deal with these issues, but if the guy is up for one of our top law enforcement jobs, I would WANT him to feel that it's his business. And that has NOTHING to do with your immature linking of him to Ward Churchill, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, etc. Those guys probably would argue that 9-11 was neither an act of war OR a criminal act -- at least Churchill has. That's NOT what this Cole guy is saying at all!
Cole makes a good point, which you totally buzzed past: Timothy McVeigh and Omar Abdel Rahman were handled -- quite effectively -- by our criminal justice system. Nobody suggested that they SHOULDN'T be treated as criminals. Nobody screamed that they should be turned over to the military for handling. So why should the treatment be any different for the 9-11 conspirators?
Timothy McVeigh was one man, so it's hardly a valid comparison. Omar Abdel Rahman's trial occurred in the 90s when we didn't realize that we were at war with radical Islam. However, after 9/11, there is no question that Islamists want to kill us.
If we give them civilian trials, these trials will become nothing more than show trials with friends like yours representing these monsters. They will be given a platform to share their hatred for us and revel in it. And worst of all, you libs will probably cheer them on.
I'll keep saying it; move your butt to iran with the other crazy kooks. We won't be bothered with you any more.
You know, lady (and I use the term very loosely), you're full of crap.
I commuted, on a daily basis, through the World Trade Center for five years. I didn't cheer for the terrorists who tried to bring it down the first time or those that succeeded the second time, and I don't know anybody that did. I do know a couple of people who were killed when WTC collapsed. So stick it with your "I'm a proud American and anybody who disagrees with me is a Communist sympathizer and un-American. Patriotism isn't owned by rightwingnuts any more than this country is owned by rightwingnuts... and for you to suggest otherwise is disgusting. And JD? When you figure out what country we'rediscussing, you can participate in the conversation again. Until then, STFU.
Now, as to the "substance" of your reply, Ms. MoreLies:
Timothy McVeigh didn't operate alone. He had an accomplice, Terry Nichols. They were given separate trials (the norm) and both were convicted; McVeigh was executed and Nichols will reside for the rest of his life in Supermax, down the road in Florence CO.
Multiple criminal convictions came about because of the first WTC attempt. The Muslim defendants tried to use their trial as a platform to share their hatred of us. And they had lawyers. And they were convicted. Did we survive? You bet. A good judge will be a lid on it, let them say only what is relevant, and move along. That's the way our system is SUPPOSED to work; there's absolutely no reason to be afraid that that is how it WILL work. We're supposed to want it that way; it gives us a chance to show the world how great our system is.
As iv'e said before, give me your address and you can shut me up in person commie.
Debra: Why would a Christian like yourself allow a psycho atheist leftwingloon like diogenes to continually attack you, conservatives and Christians with hate speech, leftwing lies and propaganda?
Freedom of speech!
Debra: Would you also give a Nazi the use of your website to spread hateful anti-Semitic rhetoric in the name of free speech?
JD, I'd tell you, but see, I graduated from 8th grade a LONG time ago. So the adolescent pseudo-testosterone thing doesn't do much for me.
And Anonymoose, I'm not an atheist. I haven't written any hate speech. (Maybe you forgot to look at the names and thought Ms. MoreLies' hate speech was mine? That happens sometimes, if you don't pay attention.) And propaganda? What? Thinking that our American legal system is something to treasure, instead of trashing?
Poor poor little rightwingnuts!
No, I would not.
Regarding Diogenes, I don't think too many informed people take his nonsense too seriously. He's so in the tank for Obama that he'll defend him till the end of Obama's worthless presidency.
Diogenes is also revealing the typical hate-filled rhetoric coming from the left, as in my mother should have aborted me and I should kill myself.
DiogenASS: in other words, you're a coward?
Most liberals are pathetically weak, they depend on conservatives to protect them from America's enemies while at the same time liberals maliciously attack Christians and their own country from under their computer desks.
If you believe everything you say to be factual and are not ashamed of any comments you’ve made on this board, what school do you teach at?
Surely you stand behind your leftwing rhetoric.
I think name calling and temper tantrums look pretty 8th grade to me!! You don't want to here opposing points of view, so you personally attack the other person without ever really giving rational thought. According to you, people who oppose you are stupid and uneducated trash. Working at the world trade center doesn't automatically make you a refined person; janitors work there too you know. And just because a person is from Mississippi or Alabama doesn't make them a stupid barefoot redneck racist. So try to be the "dignified and intelligent" person you claim to be in these discussions. A person's state of residence has nothing to do with their beliefs or competancy. So give me your address and i'll walk barefoot, getting directions from educated people along the way, to your house.
You and your friends probably sit around thinking you're in a seinfeld episode. So sophisticated!!!
JD, you're right, to a certain extent. We all tend to think in generalizations some of the time, and it's wrong.
I never meant to imply that ALL residents of any given state are stupid barefoot redneck racists, any more than AnonyMouse really means that most liberals are pathetically weak.
First off, I don't believe I have ever mentioned "barefoot." That must come from your own personal experience.
But no, not every resident of a Southern state is stupid, redneck and racist. I've met lots of Southerners who aren't. But you, little Johnny Reb, are indeed stupid, redneck and racist. And AnonyMouse is certainly stupid and racist, but probably doesn't meet the standard definition of a "redneck". And Ms. MoreLies says an awful lot of stupid things, but I doubt she's come close to matching your own stupidity. And my hunch is she's not a Southern redneck, but that doesn't mean she's not racist. See how it works, JD?
And AnonyMouse? I don't attack Christians, nor do I attack my country. I DO hold up a mirror to phony "christians" like Ms. MoreLies, when they promote hypocritical ideas. And I do put a spotlight on those who claim to be proud Americans while attacking every principle this country stands for. The Declaration and the Constitution weren't written as tenets of religious faith; they established a system of government that far too many rightwingnuts would sell out our system of government in a heartbeat in order to maintain the status quo and their superior socioeconomic position in American society.
Now, back to stupidity and reading comprehension. JD, are you listening? I never said I worked IN the WTC, I said I commuted THROUGH the WTC on a daily basis, as did hundreds of thousands of Americans every day... some Christian, some Jewish, some Muslim, some Buddhist, some Hindu, some white, some black, some Hispanic, some Asian. And I never claimed to be, nor do I aspire to be, "refined". I'm just much smarter than you are, which maybe you mistake for refinement? I mean, virtually every life form on Earth is apparently smarter than you and AnonyMouse, but that doesn't mean they're more "refined".
Now, what would you hope to prove by walking to my house, JD? When I opened the door, you'd punch me in the nose, to prove how "right" you are in your Neanderthalian attitudes and how "wrong" I am for not thinking that might proves right?
And why should I tell you the name of my school, AnonyMouse? My employment has nothing to do with the views I've expressed here... andpardon me, but isn't it just a bit odd that you would ask me to disclose personal details of my own life when you don't even come out from behind your "AnonyMouse" monicker?
You folks are, however, quite a source of amusement. A guilty pleasure, to be sure -- like those who pull wings off flies -- but a pleasure nonetheless.
I am so glad you are here to judge my intelligence and to help me along. It's amazing how a spineless liberal can tell how smart a person is simply by reading a few blog comments. I'm sure you and your friends(if you have any) just laugh and laugh about how dumb all the rest of us are.
How many people do you actually know with a different view of the world than yours?
Do you ever have a face to face discussion with a conservative?
I doubt it. No, it's much safer to sit at your little desk, drinking the loon koolaid and just typing away.
Where i come from, if you make an insulting comment to someone, you better be prepared to back it up.
But i suppose you would just run like jerry and kramer when they confronted the "street tuffs".
Next time you hold up that mirror, turn it around for once, you may be surprised at what you see.
Wow, you seem to know a lot about "Seinfeld"... a lot more than me, truth be told; I wasn't crazy about that show. But that must make you super-so-fist-icated in your trailer park.... Good for you!
Yeah, I know rednecks love to "settle things outside". It's a useful convention down South; it allows the boys to release some excess teststerone every now and again. Make 'em feel like "real men", y'know?
As for talking with others with a different viewpoint, I'd bet I do it a lot more often than you do. We've got a pretty broad cross-section of political views in our social studies department. But even the rightwingers there don't rely upong Faux Noise and rightwingnut blogs for their info.
WE CAN READ!
Try it, you may like it.
As for gauging intelligence, it is pretty difficult to tell how intelligent somebody is from a few blogs comments. But you sure can spot the ignorant hicks a mile away. You open your mouth, you give yourself away, JD.
See, some of us have actually earned JDs, wile others just call themselves JD because two letters are about as easy as it gets.
Please stop, oh high and mighty enlightened one. Your opinion and views don't mean jacksh&* to me.
I am certain that i am a much more competent and useful person than you than you could ever hope to be.
Just like your hero, commie golf playing obama, "academics" are about as useless as tits on a boar hog when it comes to common sense and real world challenges.
I wonder, do you wear your skirt, thong and high heels in public or just around the house?
Diogenes; sounds like one of elton johns gay groupies.
"I am certain that i am a much more competent and useful person than you than you could ever hope to be."
Than you, than you, than you, than you.
How many times do you have to pat yourself on the back before you get it: you're a carnival sideshow.
But it is curious, JD. Why do rightwingnuts always seem to descend into homophobic remarks when they find themselves unable to maintain a reasonable, logical argument?
Yeah, I'm sure you're VERY competent and useful, JD.
JD? Just a Dumbass?
Funny how you always desend into personal insults when you can't produce a logical counterpoint, which is 90% of the time.
Here's one; i'll bet you and your man purse would be considered a side show.
Ouch! Another homophobic insult. How unusual for a rightwingnut.
Yea, your arguments NEVER, EVER descend into rightwing-o-phobia cuts when your arguments fail to make sense(which is 95% of the time).
People of substance and fortitude built this country, one of which you certainly are not!!!
And gays? Even a dumb animal doesn't mate with their own sex.
Homophobic? Damn straight.
diogenes? Digging In On Gov't Entitlements,Need Everyone elses Sweat.
