BP Was a Big Contributor to Obama Campaign

I find it rather interesting that President Obama is quick to demonize those who are his biggest supporters. First, he villainized Goldman Sachs and Wall Street, all of which contributed heavily to his presidential campaign. Now, his most current target is BP. And guess which political candidate was the biggest recipient of BP funds?

Read from Politico:

Obama biggest recipient of BP cash

"While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over the years.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals.

On top of that, the oil giant has spent millions each year on lobbying — including $15.9 million last year alone — as it has tried to influence energy policy.

During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.

Read it all.

I'm not surprised, I hope obama sticks it to BP and the rest of the ignorant morons that think large contributions trump leftwing ideology.

It's just less oil and big business money for obama and his cohorts in the coming elections.

Let Hollywood and Soros foot the leftwingloons campaigns!

Interesting, and known as to contributions, that you conveniently leave out the total stop of oversite and investigations as to the republican congresses and the regulations of all these already on the books, and even more so the total control for six years, while concentrating on monetary campaign contributions given before the present admin was even hired! REAL Bad attempt at playing the rush! if you're going to argue politics start leaning something about it, us Indies are well aware of who's who!!!!!!
