The libs never let up on their efforts to destroy the traditional family. Our public schools are particularly at risk with the likes of "Safe" School Czar, Kevin Jennings and his sinister push of the homosexual agenda down the throats of America's youth.
Be warned. Now, it is the intention of the left to force the hiring of gay, lesbian, transexual, and bisexual teachers upon our impressionable children.
Read all about it from One News Now:
ENDA, schools, and your children
Charlie Butts
"Pro-family advocate Andrea Lafferty is warning about the potential ramifications of ENDA, pro-homosexual legislation that has been revived in Congress.
Congress is moving ahead on plans to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2009 (H.R. 3017). The bill presents a lot of problems, according to Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition, who says it requires that every state, local, and federal government and businesses with 15 or more employees comply with the law.
'A lot of people have heard of ENDA. What they're not aware of is that they've added a term -- "gender identity" -- to the bill,' she explains. '[That] means that every school in America will be forced to comply with the hiring of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgenders.'
And what about states' rights? Lafferty tells OneNewsNow the bill will stifle laws in many states.
"Currently these 38 states do not allow for transgendered teachers in the classroom or 'special protections' for transgenders," she points out. "[But] what ENDA will do is...tell these 38 states 'We're overriding your law -- and you must comply.'"
Lafferty says although transgendered people have a serious mental disorder, President Obama and congressional leadership want to protect them through ENDA. She suggests voters let their elected representatives know how they feel.
A committee vote on the legislation could come as early as Wednesday."

Sounds like a load of tea-bagger lies to me!

The sexual identity of a teacher is almost always irrelevant. Most of us don't teach anything about sexuality; we teach math, science, English, history, music, art, foreign languages, etc. It would be as inappropriate to promote gay, lesbian, bi, transsexual lifestyles as it would be to promote a heterosexual lifestyle... unless it has some connection to the subject matter being taught.
All the proposed law says it that it would be unlawful to discriminate against a teacher simply because they had a non-heterosexual identity. What's so horrible about that? (Actually, Iknow what your problem with that is: you want to discriminate against anybody that strays outside your narrow Religious Rightwingnut definitions.
By the way, I doubt even one of us evil public school teachers would be crass and stupid enough to make a double entendre like "push a homosexual agenda down the throats of America's youth." Somebody ought to shove a bar of Ivory into your mouth... and then find out if there's some way to internally clean out a heart and unclog a brain. You're one sick cookie.
If what you said were true, you would have a point, Diogenes. But, there are militant gays pushing their agenda throughout the country. They should not be indoctrinating our children.
What do you think this is:
"GLSEN claims upwards of 5,000 middle and high schools participating in the 16th annual observance, and thousands of students wearing T-shirts and distributing literature promoting the pro-homosexual event."
http://exposingliberallies.blogspot.com/2010/04/day-of-silence.html
GLSEN was behind this, and there are gay teachers involved in this type of agenda, whether you like to admit it or not.
Even if homosexuality were not wrong, which it is, life is more difficult for gays because, deep within themselves, they know what they are doing is wrong. It leads to depression and emotional problems. Why push that on any child?
Debra,
GLSEN is promoting events like that to help children understand that there is nothing wrong with feeling different. The constitution and the Bible have given us freedom and free will. Imposing sanctions on a group of people just because a book written by a bunch of people who claimed they witnessed the teachings of Jesus 20+ years after he had already been resurrected goes against Christ's teachings. This whole subject is ridiculous. Teachers are meant to teach; regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. If they bring to children's attention in a negative or unprofessional manner, then they shouldn't be teaching.
I think we're all missing the point. Both sides! Our country was founded on the belief of live and let live. We need to stop dredging up Puritan values and speedo- wearing drag queens and start acting like human beings.
Live and let live
