"A Question About the President's Judgment"

A new gal to hate. Liberals detest Dick Cheney, and at the moment, they aren't particularly fond of his daughter, Liz. In fact, it's a "like father, like daughter" hate fest. Good ole Liz dared to call the seven leftists judges who defended terrorists "the al Qaeda seven".

Of course, even the most evil criminals are awarded defense attorneys, and someone must do that job. But, these individuals Obama's attorney general brought into the Justice Department were likely chomping at the bit to defend these monsters because they share the same hatred for America. Is sympathy toward terrorists a requirement to serve in the Obama White House? I'm beginning to think so.

Read from Red State:

Liz Cheney is Right

"Liz Cheney’s new group has a very effective ad out:

How effective is it? Sweet Little Lindsey from South Carolina has his knickers in a wad crying foul on behalf of the Obama Administration.

Some lawyers are out there saying this is an unfair attack on the lawyers Barack Obama hired because everyone is entitled to zealous representation.

Let me tell you why America is so great, folks. In America, there are all sorts of people making up a diverse mindset and sharing varied opinions. The legal system reflects that.

There will always be lawyers willing to defend the indefensible. And if you are a lawyer willing to defend the indefensible you can get really rich and/or really infamous. Some of them are there just because they like the challenge.

Typically, however, the lawyers willing to defend the indefensible are from the far left — particularly when defending those who are at war with America.

Good for them for being willing to have a niche in the legal field. But it says something not about them, but about the Obama administration that Barack Obama would put these same attorneys into the Department of Justice.

Liz Cheney’s advertisement and her points on the issue have very little to do with the lawyers themselves. The people raising hell and claiming offense at the attack are obfuscating the point. This is a question about the President’s judgment and that of his Attorney General.

Liz Cheney is right."

Liz Cheney, Red State, and you (as usual) are wrong.

First off, maybe you need to figure out the difference between a "lawyer" and a "judge" before you start flinging around ignorant opinions, Ms. Moore.

Secondly, lots of good constitutional lawyers have things called "principles", Ms. Moore - something that you know precious little about. Some lawyers might very well wish to defend people who have been treated unfairly by the American legal system, as a matter of principle... even though they may not support the actions of those defendants. Keeping the American legal system "honest", so to speak, is a worthy goal.

Lastly, at least two of these seven lawyers were hired by the Department of Justice by the BUSH administration, not Obama's. So your criticism is (what a surprise) off target. Go down to Austin or Crawford to lodge your complaint -- because we all know how much the Bush administration loved to hire lefty lawyers!
