Baier Makes Mincemeat Out of Obama

The plan backfired! President Obama thought he could gain some support by going on his much-hated Fox News and being interviewed by Bret Baier. After all, practically no one is watching their competitors, CNN and MSNBC. In fact, their number of viewers is so pathetically low that it's laughable.

Fox News, on the other hand, draws viewers who are not all Republicans as the Left likes to portray, but many independents as well as Democrats. The Pew Research Center reported the following: "Among regular Fox News Channel viewers, 39% identified as Republican, 33% as Democrats and 22% as independents."

With this knowledge in mind, Obama determined that he could benefit from a Fox News interview. There's only one problem. The president was combative, flustered, and on the defense throughout the entire interview. He, obviously, is not accustomed to anyone in the media asking him any tough questions. Baier was fair and respectful, but confronted Obama on various aspects of the bill, and in doing so, made mincemeat out of the great orator. Well done, Bret! You may want to hire a bodyguard to protect your family from angry liberals.

"Don't you just love it when a young student hammers the arrogant professor in a debate? That was the distinct feel of last night's 'Special Report' program, where Bret Baier interviewed President Obama. In case you have not figured it out, Baier is the victorious young student in this analogy.

Certainly this was not what the White House had in mind when President Obama agreed to sit down and chat with the heretofore-nondescript Fox anchor. Where is Anita Dunn and her war on Fox News when you need her?

With all due respect to Brit Hume and Charles Krauthammer, who didn't acknowledge on air that their colleague bested the president, Baier clearly had Obama fumbling around and stuttering and totally flustered. Like other young and studious-looking white guys Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor, Baier used annoying and inconvenient facts to unveil the childish and petulant Obama that a fawning Jurassic media has never bothered to investigate."
