Happy Valentines Day

On this Valentines Day, when we show our love to those near and dear to us, what better time to recognize the One who showed the greatest sacrificial love of all: Jesus Christ. Born on this earth, with one goal in mind: to die a horrific death on a Roman cross to save all mankind from the penalty of our sin. And yes, we have all sinned. What love!

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."(John 15:13) Jesus did much more than that. He lay down his life for those who were not His friends.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

God created each of us with a hole in our hearts, which only He can fill. Many seek to fill their emptiness with drugs, alcohol, relationships, materialism, etc., only to find that they still remain empty and unfulfilled.

Do you know this Jesus in a personal way? He knows you and loves you just as you are, warts and all. Jesus longs to have a loving relationship with you. He doesn't ask much in return, just that you confess your sins and recognize Him as your Savior. In doing so, you will have the assurance of everlasting life in His presence and a peace which passes all understanding. It will be a life-changing experience for you, one which you will NEVER regret.

Isn't there a Mr. MooreLies for you to exchange Valentine's greetings with? It's more than a little creepy to conflate Jesus with Valentine's Day.

What's really creepy is your split personality dio, you say you don't act like this at school around children.

But isn't a split personality a mental sickness? That’s really creepy!

Diogenes, I find it alarming that you as a Christian are offended by my reference to Jesus on Valentines Day. Though usually focused on romantic love, Valentines Day is about love, and Jesus has shown more love for mankind than anyone in history. I was just carrying out the Great Commission. What's creepy about that?

Your claim to be a Christian is questionable, to say the least. Most Christians would be pleased to read what I wrote.

As you yourself admit, Valentine's Day is traditionaly focused on romantic love. There's nothing wrong with expressing your viewpoint on ANY day, but drawing special attention to Valentine's Day is a bit odd.

But, now that I think about it, no more odd than most everything you usually write.

And AnonyMouse, no matter how many personalities you have, you're sick and creepy.

Good idea, AnonyMouse: stick with one-syllable answers.
