Wow! The Obama Administration has threatened another nation. I didn't think they had it in them. It's about time Obama and his minions stand up against our enemies. Oh wait, it wasn't a foe they threatened, but instead our ally Israel.
As I've said over and over until I'm blue in the face, President Obama had better watch his steps. There are severe consequences for nations who pressure Israel to give up its God-given land. God does not take such actions lightly. You fool with Israel, the apple of God's eye, you live to regret it. Don't believe me, read His Word. It's all through it about the blessings for those who bless Israel and the curses for those who harm Israel. And harming Israel is right at the top of Obama's anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist agenda.
Read about how the Obama Administration is threatening to cut off funding to Israel, hoping that the Jewish state will give in to pressure to cave into demands from the Palestinians. From Atlas Shrugs:
Obama Threatens War-like Actions Against Israel: Israel Shrugs
"The latest O-ttack on the Jews comes in the war of threats and sanctions against Israel. Obama's hatchet man in the Middle East is the profound failure George Mitchell.
US President Barack Obama's special Middle East envoy, George Mitchell, threatened late last week to withhold financial aid to Israel if the Jewish state does not accept demanded concessions to Islam.
I pray that Israel tells Obama to take his loan guarantees and shove them up his a**.
JCH opined, 'Having George Mitchell working on this situation is a farce and a disgrace. He was orphaned at a young age and adopted by Lebanese parents. He was raised in an Arab household. I'm sure he learned a lot of helpful things about Jews and Israel there. He is completely unfit for this job. But in that respect, he fits in well with the rest of the Obama crowd.'
Mitchell proposed that sanctions be considered against Israel, including foreign aid and other support provided by the United States, as a potential solution (ah, yes, a final solution) to help him make some progress in the ongoing Middle-East negotiations.
So let's understand this. Iran can build a nuclear arsenal fit to blow up the world, they can slaughter their own Muslim (and non-Muslim) populations with impunity, they can threaten to wipe non-Muslim countries off the map, but Israel cannot be sovereign. Israel will be punished for not submitting to Islam and surrendering to Islamic anti-semitism.
'President Obama's end-of-the-year deadline for the mad mullahs to make a deal on uranium enrichment came and went, but not without incident. There were three, none good. Most troubling, the White House proved it still doesn't have a Plan B, even though its unBush diplomacy has proven to be a total dud. Get a load of the double-talk from press secretary Robert Gibbs.
Asked at a briefing what the US will do now, Gibbs did a good imitation of comic Professor Irwin Corey, without the laughs. "Well, the next step is ongoing, and that is working with our partners in the P5+1 and throughout the international community in looking at the next steps to hold Iran accountable."
In plain English: We don't have a clue.' (more here)
More torture to [...], Hillary Clinton:
'We're going to be even more committed this year, and we're starting this new year with that level of commitment and we're going to follow through and hopefully we can see this." Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told reporters.
Anyone true to democracy, liberty, life, morality and individual rights is projectile vomiting over Obama.
Meanwhile, southern Israel heats up with a rocket and mortar barrage today. Muslim terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip have fired 20 rockets and mortar shells into southern Israel over the past week. Over the weekend alone, 10 mortar shells and five rockets were fired.
Concurrently, the Mansourian President grovels and writhes to Hamas: 900 million to Hamas and counting.
Israel in Response to Mitchell Loan Guarantee Threat: Blame PA
(IsraelNN.com) 'The Prime Minister's Office reacted Sunday to an implied threat by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, regarding American loan guarantees to Israel. Mitchell had said that his country could withhold support on loan guarantees to pressure Israel in negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.
Israel rebuffed the threat. “It is the Palestinian Authority that refuses to renew the peace process," a statement released by the Prime Minister's Bureau stated, "while we have carried out significant steps. It is the PA that must change its ways.”
The special envoy, former U.S. Senator George Mitchell, was asked by a TV interviewer on Thursday what types of pressure could be exerted upon Israel to get the diplomatic negotiations underway again. Mitchell said, “Under American law, the United States can withhold support on loan guarantees to Israel," and added that the previous Bush administration had in fact done so. “But I prefer persuasion to sanctions,” he said afterwards.'
'The loan guarantees are essentially U.S.-backed loans with favorable interest rates. Many in Israel have long called for Israel to turn down these benefits, in accordance with the Biblical teaching (Proverbs) that one who hates gifts will live, in order to remove this pressure point and enable Israel to be more independent. In July 1996, it was Binyamin Netanyahu himself, Israel's then-new prime minister, who pledged to begin reducing American economic aid to Israel, while working to make Israel more economically self-sufficient.'
The interview transcript reads thus:
'Mitchell: "The reality is that, yes, of course the United States has both carrots and sticks, you have to be very careful about how and when you use them and apply [inaudible] --"
Charlie Rose: "When was the last time we used a stick? … Give me - I'm serious about this. You sit there and you say to Israel, if you don't do this, what?"
George Mitchell: "I mean, under American law, the United States can withhold support on loan guarantees to Israel. President George W. Bush did so."
Charlie Rose: "Exactly."
George Mitchell: "On one occasion."
Charlie Rose: "And his father."
George Mitchell: "Well, the law that the most recent President Bush acted under, wasn't in place at the time of the first President Bush, so there were different mechanisms. That's one mechanism that has been publicly discussed, there are others. And you have to keep open whatever options, but our view is that, we think the way to approach this is to try to persuade the parties what is in their self interests. And we think that we are making some progress in that regard, and we are going to continue in that effort and we think the way to do that is to get them into negotiations'
UPDATE: This takes a special kind of elitism. Blatant Jew hating lies that flies in the face of objective reality.

McCain, Lieberman, Barrasso & Thune: Congress Will Not Freeze Aid To Israel."
Joshua Pundit opines:
"As I predicted a while ago, this was going to happen sooner or later with Barack Hussein Obama as president. He doesn't consider Israel an ally, but an obstruction. You see, the current occupant of the White House wasn't really sleeping through Jeremiah Wright's sermons at Trinity Church.
I particularly liked Mitchell's line about wanting to put pressure on both sides. Since when has Obama ever put any pressure on the Palestinians? Did he ask the Arabs to stop building in East Jerusalem or the disputed areas of Judea and Samaria, AKA the West Bank? Did the US ever lean on the Palestinians to take the terrorists from the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade off the Fatah payroll,or to stop making public heroes out of murderers?
Nor does Mitchell seem to particularly care about the fact that Hamas would likely take over a Palestinian State in the areas the Obama Administration wants to force them to vacate, just as they did in Gaza.
This is not coming out of left field. Obama, in his despicable speeches in Cairo and at the Muslim dominated UN, made it abundantly clear where his sympathies lie'"
