What an absolute disgrace! You wanted "change", America. Is this what you had in mind? Why on earth would we be giving the Taliban any role in Afghanistan? Whose side is Obama on anyway?
And why, oh why, is Robert Gates going along with this? Shame on him! No paycheck or glamorous job is worth spitting in the faces of our brave men and women who have sacrificed in this war against Islamic terror to only have us kowtow to the Taliban.

NY Times - 'The United States recognizes that the Taliban are now part of the political fabric of Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said here on Friday, but the group must be prepared to play a legitimate role before it can reconcile with the Afghan government.
That means, Mr. Gates said, that the Taliban must participate in elections, not oppose education and not assassinate local officials. (yea good luck with that! -Ed)
“The question is whether the Taliban at some point in this process are ready to help build a 21st-century Afghanistan or whether they still just want to kill people,” Mr. Gates said. (That question is, frankly, above Obama’s pay grade-Ed)

Do these politicians EVER listen to how foolish they sound? And to think I praised Obama for choosing to keep Gates on as Secretary of Defense.

I don't think American's had a clue how radically left obama really is, they absorbed all the leftwing centrist rhetoric from the lamestream media and based their decision on propaganda instead of actual facts.
This November should be a blowout, people all over the country are starting to wake up and smell what this administration and the democrats are actually shoveling.
