ACLU Defends Muslim Charities Which Fund Terrorism

The ACLU is truly a disgusting organization which has a history of defending the evil forces in society, from pedophiles to terrorists. Anyone who supports them financially is contributing to the evil that they defend.

Their latest appalling action is defending Muslim charities which have a track record of transferring money to terrorist organizations, because, get this, when our government attempts to block the funding of terrorism, it “disproportionately impacts Muslims”.

Well, duh! Perhaps, that is because terrorism is committed BY Muslims. Of course, NOT ALL Muslims, but nevertheless, Muslims. I don’t remember reading about organizations funded by Hindus, Jews, Mormons, Shinto, or Christians transferring money to be used in carrying out evil terrorist attacks against innocents. This is clearly an act committed by the “religion of peace”.

ACLU helping raise money for Hamas

“The ACLU has released a report and a video criticizing US government efforts to shut down terror-financing activities. The reason - you guessed it - is that the ACLU claims that efforts to shut down terror-financing activities disproportionately impact Muslims. I wonder why (Hat Tip: Nathan L).

‘The ACLU asserts that post-September 11 policies targeting these charities have a "disproportionate" effect on Muslims and "are undermining American Muslims' protected constitutional liberties and violating their fundamental human rights to freedom of religion, freedom of association, and freedom from discrimination."

It recommends a series of policy changes which include repealing Executive Order 13224, issued shortly after September 11, which creates mechanisms for designating persons and organizations as "specially designated global terrorists" (SDGTs). The ACLU also calls on the FBI to employ the" least intrusive means" necessary to accomplish its investigative objectives and urges the federal government to ban law enforcement practices that "disproportionately" target people "based on ethnicity, national origin or religion."

In his June 4 Cairo speech, President Obama asserted that there are too many impediments to Muslim efforts to fulfill their obligation to give charity, or zakat. As we have previously noted, this is patently untrue. The only way "loosen" restrictions would be to effectively to cripple current U.S. law barring material support for terrorism.

The ACLU recommendations mean "more money for Hamas," said Dennis Lormel, who created the FBI's terror financing section. Terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah use the charities to build hospitals and provide food to the poor to win the trust of local Muslims. They then use "this credibility to enlist children as suicide bombers," Lormel said.

But if the ACLU had its way, the U.S. government would lose critical tools for preventing U.S. charities from sending money to terrorist organizations. Using the "least intrusive means" would make it much more difficult (if not impossible) to shut down terrorist- financing charities like HLF, Lormel told IPT News, because they could deny the government the ability to use methods like wiretaps which were critical to building a case against the group for providing funds to Hamas.

Ending the SDGT designations would take away a valuable deterrent to abuse. "We know from experience that people stop donating to these charities once they are designated as supporters of terrorism," added Lormel, a 28-year FBI veteran who oversaw its stepped-up efforts to shut off the flow of funds to terrorist organizations after September 11.’

Read the whole thing. Is this what President Obama had in mind when he spoke about removing impediments to Muslims giving zakat? That's what it sounds like.

Just imagine a Supreme Court with Obama appointees in a dominant position. How would that court vote on a case like this? How would Sonia Sotomayor vote?”

The Dirty Details of Cap and Trade

America, wake up, and wake up quickly!! The Cap and Trade monstrosity of a bill has passed the loony House and now must get through the Senate. Most Americans are clueless as to what is in this piece of legislation.

In their quest to establish control over the lives of each and every one of us, liberals are leading us down the road to poverty. Spread the wealth, my foot; this is a prime example of an effort to spread the misery. We will be taxed beyond belief, and now I learn that we won’t even be able to sell our homes unless they meet special “energy efficient” standards. If we own an older house without these standards, we will be forced to meet these standards before our house can be placed on the market. How much will that cost Americans who are already suffering?

If that isn’t infuriating enough, our personal electricity consumption will be monitored and if we use more energy than we are allotted, we will be charged a super tax or have our electricity shut off.

I ask you: Does this sound like life in the United States of America or more like the Soviet Union?

We gotta face reality and we're dealing with an Obama State-Run Media here. Of course they're not going to give Boehner any support or even any coverage or any publicity. But she's right, sell your house, before you can do that, you have to pass an environmental test that some government person is going to come in and make sure you have proper storm windows and if you live in a hurricane area the inspection is even more Draconian. You have to have modern appliances, a kitchen and that sort of thing, energy efficient TVs and this sort of stuff and until you replace all that stuff you can't sell it. Now, normally that would be up to seller and buyer. If the buyer wants to accept some old TVs and a kitchen that's not stainless steel, fine, you negotiate that on price. But now it's not going to be a matter of negotiation. Before you can be approved in selling your house, some government regulator is to come in and give you an examination.

Now, just to illustrate how this is going to work, once again I have a piece of property that would pass inspection, right now if this were the law. But do you think some government regulator coming into my house is going to pass me if it's the Obama administration or if it's some Democrat-run bureaucracy? No way. Everything is going to be political and this is how they are going to get people to switch party to become Democrat so that they're not harassed. Folks, consequences are dire here. And all this is happening under this umbrella of this kind soft-spoken very smart president who only wants to save our light bulbs and save the White House and save the world and who, of course, can be against that, who's for dirty air, who's for dirty water, nobody's for that when that's not at all what any of this is about. The Audacity of Hypocrisy

Our president does not want to meddle in Iranian elections. How interesting! He certainly does not mind meddling in Israeli affairs as he has ordered Israelis to stop settlement growth and is bullying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to give up land won in the 1967 Six Day War when Israel was attacked by its Arab neighbors and kicked butt so quickly and so effectively that the war earned its appropriate name.

If Obama’s meddlesome ways in Israeli politics isn’t enough, now he has thrown his support behind the Honduran dictator President Manuel Zelaya and has, along with leftists dictators Hugo Chavez and Raul Castro, interfered in the Latin American nation’s political crisis. Zelaya wanted to defy his country’s rule of law by making himself president beyond the two terms stated in the Honduran Constitution.

Is this a prelude to what we can expect in 2016 if Obama can continue to deceive Americans into believing he is working for the good of our country and wins a second term?

Obama And The Honduras Shuffle

“To give you an idea of how far to the Left the Obama Administration is, we have the amazing spectacle of this President and his Secretary of State gnashing their teeth and making common cause with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and Cuba's Castro in their disapproval and anger over the removal of a Communist Latin American dictator!

Here's the story in a nutshell. Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, an Hugo Chavez wanna-be, tried to unilaterally change the Honduran Constitution to allow him to become in effect president-for-life. To do so, he attempted to run through an illegal referendum.

The Honduran Supreme Court warned him that this was a violation of Honduras law, but Zelaya continued to try to muscle this through.

Since the referendum had been pronounced illegal by both the Supreme Court and the Electoral board the government refused to print the ballots and no private printer was willing to do so, so Zelaya actually had the ballots printed in Venezuela and flown in.

When the military (who would normally distribute ballots) refused to do so, Zelaya fired General Vásquez, head of the armed forces and his supporters took the ballots from the warehouse where they were being held and attempted to distribute them anyway in defiance of the Supreme Court, Honduras' electoral law and the Constitution.

In response the Honduran Congress, including members of Zelaya's own party reinstated Vasquez, passed a law against holding referendums 180 days before or after general elections and established a commission, which found Zelaya in gross violation of his country's laws. The Honduran Attorney General then requested Zelaya's impeachment. After the proceedings, The Honduran Congress and authorized the military to arrest him, remove him from office and put him on a plane bound for Costa Rica.

So this 'coup' was performed by the Supreme court, the Congress, the Attorney general and pretty much every branch of the Honduran government!

So what was Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's response to this? Do you even have to wonder?

‘The attorney general had already made clear that the referendum was illegal, and he further announced that he would prosecute anyone involved in carrying it out. Yesterday, Mr. Zelaya was arrested by the military and is now in exile in Costa Rica.

It remains to be seen what Mr. Zelaya's next move will be. It's not surprising that chavistas throughout the region are claiming that he was victim of a military coup. They want to hide the fact that the military was acting on a court order to defend the rule of law and the constitution, and that the Congress asserted itself for that purpose, too.

Mrs. Clinton has piled on as well. Yesterday she accused Honduras of violating "the precepts of the Interamerican Democratic Charter" and said it "should be condemned by all." Fidel Castro did just that. Mr. Chávez pledged to overthrow the new government.’


Obama called the so-called 'coup' illegal and ‘a terrible precedent.’

Isn't that just lovely? North Korean nukes? No comment. Iran butchers its citizens in the streets and foments Islamist terrorism world wide? Hey, we still want to extend that outstretched hand and the Mullahs have the right to nukes too, no? Syria murders political opponents, gets caught with an illegal North Korean reactor and supports and finances Hezbollah? Let's just restore full diplomatic relations and not quibble about little things like that.

But Honduras legally ousting a leftist would be dictator? Now that's crossing the red line!

One might almost call Honduras the Israel of Latin America. At least as far as Obama and Hillary Clinton are concerned.”


Earlier I heard an American missionary living in Honduras state on talk radio that this so-called "coup" was nothing of the kind. Everything was done in an entirely peaceful manner.

Stop Treating Arabs Like Animals

‘Their decisions should have consequences.

Over the past few years, I have noticed liberals - who claim to be fighting for universal human rights - remove all humanity from Palestinians. In the name of human rights, humanism, etc., these individuals support a world-view which clearly sets a double standard between the way Palestinians are treated and the way the rest of the world is treated. This double standard can be explained by many different factors, including contempt for the enemies of the Palestinians, but it also shows a deep discrimination against the Palestinians. It can only be explained as a particularly warped and twisted form of racism. What is truly worrying is that this world-view has now reached the White House, with President Barack Obama continuously pressuring Israel into racist policies towards the Palestinians.

Did I say “racist policies”? Yes. Let me explain.

In 1947, a partition plan for the Land of Israel was proposed. Jews accepted it, Arabs refused it. At the end of the Independence War, Jews had established the State of Israel. Let us ignore the fact that if the real reason for the current conflict was the lack of a Palestinian state, then the Arabs had plenty of time to build a Palestinian state until 1967; instead, let us focus on the fact that any rational person would understand that after the Arabs refused the partition plan and instead attacked Israel, they lost their right to complain after losing the war. However, for some reason, “liberals” think we should give Palestinians a second chance.

Why not make Arabs responsible for the consequences of their decisions? Should they not be treated according to the principles of justice appropriate for human beings?

In 1967, the Arabs once again attacked Israel. This time, Israel liberated its historic capital city and regained territory which it did not gain in 1948. All of this happened in a defensive war. Judea, the heartland of ancient Israel, was under Jewish control and was not Judenrein anymore. Jews were finally allowed to live anywhere they wished in the Land of Israel. After the war, there should not have been any question as to the legitimate claim of Israel to the lands it liberated. Not only were these lands liberated in a defensive war, they were also historically tied to the Jewish people.

Still, looking down on Arabs and not trusting that they have the same capacity for judgment as the rest of the world, the nations seemed to say, “It’s not their fault. They made a mistake by attacking you, but it’s not their fault. They are Arab.” This racist perspective seems to be at the root of the view which suggests Israel should unilaterally and immediately return to the borders of 1967. If Arabs were treated like human beings, as they should be, then their decisions would have consequences; and when they decide to attack Israel, they should also bear the consequences of such a decision.

The same story went on and on - the failed attempt in Oslo and Camp David were based on a similar world-view. The criticism Israel received during its latest military action in Gaza was clearly based on such a world-view. After years and years of Arab incitement against Israel and rockets on Israeli towns, when Israel finally defended itself, the whole world started asking Israel to stop. Are the Palestinians not human? Should they not be responsible for their actions? Can anyone truly say that if another country fired rockets at America, they would not expect America to defend itself? Why treat Palestinians differently? Why this discrimination against them?

And now Obama, since his presidency started, focuses solely on the settlement issue, defining it as the main cause of the conflict. He seems to ignore that Arabs attacked Israel before settlements existed. He seems to ignore that every Arab leader still wants all of Israel to be Arab and not Jewish (either in one or two states, but for sure Arab). He seems to forget that the Palestinians have shown absolutely no willingness for peace - never ever. Obama seems to hold the same view that seems to say: “I don’t expect much of the Palestinians. I mean, after all, they are Palestinians. Let me focus on Israel.” This is, once again, clear discrimination and racism.

Of course, one of the grave consequences of such a perspective is that the Palestinians get their hopes up, looking forward to a peace which is imaginary (because of the actions of the Arab countries) and are then completely devastated when the peace doesn’t come. Obviously, this leads to rebellion and violence. They are human, after all.

I, on the other hand, refuse to be a racist. I refuse to use double standards. I refuse to treat the Arabs in a different way than I would treat others. I refuse to expect less. When the Arab countries attack Israel, I will demand a strong response. When the Palestinians send rockets, I will want those who send rockets to be rooted out. When the Arabs refuse to cooperate towards peace, I will work towards solutions which ensure Israel’s continue security, rather than demand constant Israeli concessions because “we shouldn’t expect anything more from Arabs”.

I am not a racist, and I will refuse to abide by this new form of racism, which is labeled by some “liberalism”. True liberalism treats everyone equally. True liberalism believes everyone is human and capable of rational choice. I will never treat Palestinians like animals.

It is not always easy to have freedom of choice - you can choose right and you can choose wrong. Then, you are responsible for your actions. Still, even if it is not easy, it is what makes us human. Stop treating Palestinians as if they are incapable of making choices and being responsible for the consequences of those choices. Stop treating Palestinians like animals.”

Union Intimidation

Unions are not only important donors to the Democrat Party, but they dictate policy, and liberal politicians bow down to them and follow their every command. The real question is: Are unions instrumental in looking out for their employees or have they become thug-style intimidators bullying anyone who gets in their way?

Union Boss Intimidation Halted After ID Theft and Harassment Suit

Foundation exposes union officials’ horrific campaign against independent-minded worker

HARTFORD, CT — “In a case that exposes the insidious methods used by some union operatives to intimidate independent minded workers, Foundation attorneys forced Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local 1103 to settle a case with Connecticut resident Patricia Pelletier, who was allegedly targeted by CWA operatives for an ugly campaign of harassment and retaliation.

After Pelletier initiated a successful workplace decertification drive to eject an unwanted union, union officials allegedly conspired to forge her name on numerous magazine subscription cards, bombarding her home with hundreds of unwanted mail-order journals costing her thousands of dollars and taking up hundreds of hours of her time.

She literally spent hours each day trying to get off mailing lists, return products sent to her, fight off bill collectors, and clear her good name with credit bureaus.

‘You’re talking weeks, hours, months to try to call everybody, make sure it [the magazine subscription] is cancelled . . . And I’m still getting past due notices from collection companies,’ said Pelletier in an interview shortly after Foundation attorneys stepped in to help her fight back.

Crack cocaine apparently planted in victim’s files

A police investigation indicated that union operatives forged Pelletier’s signature on hundreds of mail-order products in retaliation for attempting to remove the union, flooding her doorstep with unwanted mail. The forged order forms were mailed from the same zip code as the union’s headquarters, which was located across the New York state line.

In her lawsuit, Pelletier also alleged that union militants planted cocaine at her work desk in an effort to have her fired. Although a police investigation into the incident did not result in an arrest, union militants at her workplace had both the means and motive to frame Pelletier for drug possession. As it happens, union hotheads in her workplace had after-hours access to her workspace.

Foundation lawsuit holds union militants accountable

In a 31-count suit filed by Foundation attorneys in Hartford Superior Court, Pelletier alleged that union officials committed identity theft, conspired to forge her signature, inflicted undue emotional distress on her and her family, and violated Connecticut’s Unfair Trade Practice Act. Although Foundation attorneys achieved a settlement that satisfied Pelletier, the terms of the settlement are confidential.

‘We’re happy to report that after enduring a trying ordeal, Patricia Pelletier is finally getting a satisfactory resolution,’ said Stefan Gleason, vice president of the National Right to Work Foundation. ‘No workers should be subjected to vicious union retaliation for exercising their rights in the workplace.’”

Meet George Tiller's Ex-Sidekick, Shelley Sella

Deceased late-term abortionist George Tiller, has become a “martyr” for the women’s movement and a hero to the Left. However, before he gets elevated to sainthood, experience a sample of what occurred in this man’s clinic, via an article I found that was written a year ago from Operation Rescue:

Eyewitness Confession: Live Infant Stabbed To Death By Tiller Abortionist Shelley Sella

Wichita, KS – “A murder investigation has been opened involving Shelley Sella, a California abortionist employed by George Tiller, who is reported to have intentionally stabbed to death an infant born alive during an abortion at Tiller’s Women’s Health Care Services abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas.

On the advice of an attorney, Operation Rescue reported the incident to the Wichita Police Department after a former Tiller employee, Tina David, told Troy Newman and Cheryl Sullenger of the stabbing in April. It is believed that the alleged infanticide took place sometime in the past two years.

In addition, the incident has been reported to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, which has confirmed that the case has been assigned to an investigator.

Ms. David is a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was the only licensed medical person in Tiller’s employment at that time, except for his three out-of-state abortionists, who work at WHCS on a three-week rotating schedule.

Abortionist Shelley Sella is a ‘circuit rider’ who splits her time between Tiller’s Wichita clinic, a California Planned Parenthood clinic, and other, smaller abortion mills.

‘Ms. David gave us a very specific eye-witness account about the incident,’ said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. ‘We were told that the baby was 35 weeks gestation at the time of the abortion. The baby came out and was moving. Sella looked up at Ms. David, then picked up a utensil and stabbed the baby in the left ribcage, twisting the utensil until the baby quit moving. At 35 weeks, there is no doubt about viability. This is murder in anybody’s book.’

Ms. David could not explain why the baby was born alive since abortions that late in the pregnancy usually begin with a fatal injection into the baby’s heart. However, Operation Rescue has been told by former abortion patients that sometimes the first injection is not always successful. (Read how these abortions are done.)

In fact, Sella was involved in the abortion of Michelle Armesto-Berge, who testified before a Kansas legislative committee last September of her horrific late-term abortion experience at WHCS. According to her medical records, which she released to Operation Rescue, Armesto-Berge received the digoxin injection at the beginning of her abortion process, and was forced to receive a second injection by Sella when it was discoverd that her baby was still alive the following day.

‘The digoxin injection into the baby’s heart is a difficult and risky procedure,’ said Newman. ‘Sella doesn’t appear to be very good at it.’

Ms. David also told Operation Rescue that on four occasions of which she was aware, women received the digoxin injection into their babies’ hearts, and were sent home to their primary physician for ‘delivery of the stillborn.’

‘This practice has extreme risks, because the women, who come from all over the Western Hemisphere, could go into labor or experience a number of other dangerous complications before they are able to get to their own doctors,’ said Newman. ‘It is shocking that this is allowed.’

‘We understand there are unique challenges to getting charges filed in this case since the body would have been cremated at Tiller’s on-site crematorium. Without a body, any murder case becomes more difficult,’ said Newman. ‘However, because of the brutality of this murder and the gravity of this charge, we are compelled to demand that Tiller’s clinic be closed by the State until a full inspection and investigation can take place, and that the medical licenses of Sella and her boss, Tiller, be immediately suspended.’

‘We also understand that because Ms. David’s employment at WHCS was terminated, that damages her credibility,’ Newman continued. ‘But we have every reason to believe that the story she told us was true. We have been able to confirm many of the other things she told us. Ms. David came forward because she was troubled by what went on at the abortion clinic, and was seeking peace. We pray she finds it.’

The Greatly Emboldened North Korea

Here’s one time when ole Joe got it right; in fact, he nailed it when he said the world would test Barack Obama within six months of his presidency. The election of President Obama has sent signals of American weakness to all our enemies. Iran and North Korea have both become more emboldened than ever. If I were a betting person, I’d wager that our enemies view Obama as a second Jimmy Carter, in other words, as another foreign policy weakling.

It’s going to be a looong 4-8 years. Can’t wait to see what Russia and China have planned for us, not to mention al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, etc.

North Korea's March to War

“North Korea has been busy, busy, busy since the election of our weak President. This week, they have sharply increased their war rhetoric. On Wednesday they issued this threat: ‘If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all.’ And on Thursday they promised a ‘fire shower of nuclear retaliation’ if the U.S. attacked them. The media is pretending that it isn't happening, whistling in the dark, but how can anyone avoid noticing that since Obama's failed policies have been introduced, the evil forces of the world have been unleashed?

The Pentagon snickered at the North Koreans' latest threats. Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell, when asked about the North Korean threat to wipe the U.S. off the map, sniffed: ‘I don't even know how to respond to that. It's silliness. For what and with what?’

However, I do not find these threats to be a bit funny. They bode ill, most ill, for the US's preventative effect on the malevolent advancement of the axis of evil.

George W. Bush called it in his speech after 9/11: the axis of evil, Iraq, Iran and North Korea. We deftly removed the brutal dictator Saddam Hussein, but the leftists and the international forces of evil managed after that to bench the Bush doctrine, to the horrible detriment of free men. We have seen the terrible course of events in Iran, and we pray for those Iranians who are yearning and dying to be free.

And meanwhile, North Korea is on its own evil tear and it must be said Bush opened the door. In a stunning capitulation to the left and the ‘realists’ at State, it was Bush who removed North Korea from the State Sponsors of Terror list. What more has to happen to show how terrible a policy appeasement is? Nuclear tests, multiple long-range missile launches, and now North Korea is augmenting its ability to wage guerrilla warfare - developing roadside bombs. General Walter Sharp said that these North Korean IEDs ‘could be used against civilians as well as US and South Korean forces if a fully-fledged conflict broke out on the Korean Peninsula.’

North Korea is also conducting military exercises near Japan. Yonhap, the South Korean news agency, reported Tuesday that, according to South Korean Defence Ministry Spokesman Won Tae-jae, ‘the North has informed Japan's coast guard authorities of its 25 June-10 July ban for a drill’ off the North Korean city of Wonsan. This drill will involve ‘live-fire missile exercises’ and is, said Yonhap, ‘the first time North Korea has specified a reason for imposing a coastal ban.’ Wonsan is about 62 miles north of the border between North Korea and South Korea.

And then there is the North Korean ship that is allegedly carrying fissile material. To that challenge Obama is taking his signature weak approach. The US navy is tracking the ship, but China has warned us to back off. According to Japan's Kyodo news agency, ‘China has stressed that any interception and inspection of North Korean vessels on the high seas should be based on ‘sufficient evidence' and called on all parties to refrain from any action that could intensify an already tense situation.’ Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang, according to Kyodo, ‘was responding to media reports the US Navy is preparing for a possible intercept of a North Korean ship suspected of carrying missile and nuclear-related items after it leaves the coastal area of China.’ And in accord with China's wishes, there has been no interception of the ship. The US reportedly will not use force to inspect the North Korean ship.

That ship is carrying something, and a confidential source tells me it is likely planning to launch a warhead from a location closer to its intended target for test purposes. The warhead is unlikely to contain any fissile material; however, it is a test for not only Obama, Japan and South Korea, but also for how far China and Russia are willing to go.

It is also a technology test -- that is, a test of American monitoring technology. The North Koreans want to test our technology, and they know that we couldn't monitor their last big launch last April. Again, we can thank Obama for that.

From the looks of North Korea's words and actions, it appears as if they are taking lessons from their good buds over in Iran. And yet despite all this North Korean belligerence, Obama still remains firm on the missile shield cut.

It's hard to know how desperately we will ultimately suffer under this terrible presidency but one thing is painfully clear: the world's policeman has walked off the job.”


Think they would have acted in this manner under a McCain presidency? I’m no fan of John McCain, but I kinda doubt it.

Obama Warned Us

Remember this clip? At a town hall meeting in Ft. Myers, Florida, four months ago a woman named Henrietta Hughes basically asks President Obama for a kitchen and a bathroom. He’s the President of the United States, not Santa Claus.

Americans drank the Obama Kool-Aid, and they fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Here’s one such example: My neighbor told me that her brother had lost his job last fall and had not made his mortgage payment since November; he and his sister were both expecting Obama to bail him out of his financial woes. Of course, no such thing happened. The brother remains jobless, and his mortgage problems have not changed or been solved.

People need a reality check. Obama is not the answer to their economic problems.

In fact, if he happens to smooth-talk the Senate into passing his Cap and Trade bill, which should be labeled a Cap and Tax bill, Americans had better look out because their utility bills will be going sky high, just like Obama predicted before the election. But, too many people were too busy swooning over his fine oratory to listen to what the man actually said. Naturally, the corrupt media played a major part in deceiving the public by covering up for anything that would harm their much worshiped candidate.

For those who are thrilled that the House passed the Cap and Trade tax bill, give it some time. Once this legislation is put into action and you receive your electric bill, the thrill will wear off very quickly.

I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.

That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.

The only thing I've said with respect to coal, I haven't been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can.

It's just that it will bankrupt them.’

The Elderly Will Be the Losers Under Obamacare

President Obama is well aware of the fact that America cannot afford universal healthcare. Well, duh! Therefore, something has to give; some individuals need to be thrown under the Obama bus because their lives aren’t as valuable as others.

And guess which group will receive the healthcare rationing that is unavoidable under the Obamacare plan? The elderly, that’s who--the same group who voted 54 percent to 44 percent for McCain. By the time Obama gets done with them, if his abominable plan gets passed, that 44% who drank the Obama Kool-Aid, including my parents--real Obama lovers, will regret the day they went to the polls and voted for “hope and change” because that hope and change may cost them their lives or that of their lifetime partners.

Obama Says We Shouldn't Treat Old Folks to Save Money And the Media Goes Deaf

“I am wondering when the euthanasia folks are going to start touting this one? I mean, it sure seemed to me as if the most caring, most civil, most intelligent president evah just said that healthcare could be cheaper if we don't give old folks and the infirm the full measure of care they now get. It appeared that Obama said we should just let them die or suffer because they aren't worth the effort. Imagine if Bush had said something like this? The left wouldn't have hesitated to call him any manner of names. Oddly, though, the Old Media have not had so much as a raised eyebrow over his statements on Wednesday.

Obama said during the ABC Special on Wednesday night that a way to save healthcare costs is to abandon the sort of care that ‘evidence shows is not necessarily going to improve’ the patient's health. He went on to say that he had personal familiarity with such a situation when his grandmother broke her hip after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Obama offered a question on the efficacy of further care for his grandmother saying, ‘and the question was, does she get hip replacement surgery, even though she was fragile enough they were not sure how long she would last?’

But who is it that will present the ‘evidence’ that will ‘show’ that further care is futile? Are we to believe that Obama expects individual doctors will make that decision in his bold new government controlled healthcare future? If he is trying to make that claim it is a flat out untruth and he knows it.

Does your homebuilder negotiate with your city hall over whether you get a building permit, or does the permit get levied no matter what? Does a cop decide if you really broke the law, or does he simply arrest you and let the courts hash it out? Does your tax preparer negotiate with the IRS or is he supposed to just calculate your tax bill on their terms and have you pay the required amount?

Government does not work by negotiation. Government does not work from the bottom up. It works from the top down. This singular fact means that no doctor will be deciding if you are too old or infirm to get medical care. It will be a medically untrained bureaucrat that sets a national rule that everyone will have to obey. There won't be any room for your grandma to have a different outcome than anyone else's.

So, what will it be then? Who will decide when medical care is just too expensive to bother with? Who will be left to perish because they just aren't worth the lifesaving effort? Well, for sure it won't be any members of Congress or anyone that works for the federal government because they won't be expected to suffer under the nationally socialized plan. It also won't be Obama's buddies in the unions who are about to be similarly exempted from the national plan, at least if Senator Max Baucus has his way.

Ah, but we are told that Obama's ideas on healthcare are ‘evolving,’ dontcha know? During the recent campaign for president (that was only 7 months ago, if you'll recall) Obama insisted that he would never tax your healthcare benefits from work. He even ridiculed McCain for proposing such a plan. Lately, however, he's 'evolved' toward saying that such a new tax is on the table. What about his stance against fining people and businesses that don't join his UberPlan? He was against that sort of coerciveness before. Now he's ‘evolved.'

Originally, he said it was ‘healthcare for all,’ but as of Wednesday night, it seems he's ‘evolved’ to say that only those worth the bother should get healthcare. The rest should be left to died and/or suffer. If he does any more ‘evolving’ we'll all be finding just who is ‘worth’ what as far as he and his Democrats are concerned. Somehow I'd guess that many of you reading this today won't quite be worth as much as certain others!

Let's hope none of us are ever in a position to find out if Obamacare deems our grandmothers worth saving.

And what ever happened to the left's mantra that healthcare is a ‘right’ and that money should never enter into a life or death decision? Now Obama is saying it's just too darn expensive to save the old and infirm? Will our friends on the left now disown Obama the ‘murderer‘?

Even worse, why has the media remained mum on the possibility that President Spock, Doctor of life, just said that old folks are too expensive to treat? Hello, CNN, NBC, New York Times... anyone?”

Why Bush Couldn't Risk WMD Getting into Hands of Terrorists

If a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes a truth in many people’s eyes. Sadly, that is the case in the reality of what led up to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The “Bush lied, kids died” mantra that liberals spout is absolute nonsense.

President Bush led us to war with Saddam Hussein because of the intelligence he received both at home and from foreign sources. The Left has conveniently “forgotten” that our allies, including the British, the Jordanians, and the Israelis, all stated that Saddam possessed WMD. Why, their favorite ex-darling, Bill Clinton, and his lovely wife Hillary said the same thing, as did many prominent Democratic leaders in Congress.

Saddam Hussein had ample opportunity to move his WMD out of his country, more than likely to Syria, before the anticipated American invasion. Any moron would have been smart to do so, and Saddam was a lot of things, but stupid was not one of them.

It was their prerogative if people wanted to oppose military action against the Iraqi dictator. But, the lies repeated by the Left, with the help of the corrupt media, are beyond the pale.

Bush took the responsibility of protecting Americans seriously, and he could not afford to risk WMD getting into the hands of terrorists, knowing that they would jump at the chance to use them against innocent Americans--not after the tragedy of 9/11.

Too many people have forgotten what occurred on that infamous day.

Al-Qaida: We Would Use Pakistani Nukes On America

“DUBAI — If al-Qaida were in a position to do so, it would use Pakistan's nuclear weapons in its fight against the United States, a top leader of the group said in remarks aired on Sunday.

Pakistan has been battling al-Qaida Taliban allies in the Swat Valley since April after their thrust into a district 60 miles northwest of the capital raised fears the nuclear-armed country could slowly slip into militant hands.

‘God willing, the nuclear weapons will not fall into the hands of the Americans and the mujahideen would take them and use them against the Americans,’ Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, the leader of al-Qaida's in Afghanistan, said in an interview with Al Jazeera television.

Abu al-Yazid was responding to a question about U.S. safeguards to seize control over Pakistan's nuclear weapons in case Islamist fighters came close to doing so.

‘We expect that the Pakistani army would be defeated (in Swat) . . . and that would be its end everywhere, God willing.’

Asked about the group's plans, the Egyptian militant leader said: ‘The strategy of the (al-Qaida ) organization in the coming period is the same as in the previous period: to hit the head of the snake, the head of tyranny: the United States."

Obama Proves Weak on Foreign Policy

What a difference between the Bush foreign policy and that of Obama! Bush risked his presidency and his high approval ratings to protect our nation and its citizens, while at the same time providing freedom to millions of oppressed people in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and he received a backlash of criticism in doing so. Then there is Obama. When given an opportunity to stand with the protesting masses in Iran, he did little more than vote “present”, an action that he practiced frequently when he served in the Illinois State Senate. But, why would anyone be surprised? Obama has shown no evidence that he values the freedoms that America enjoys.

“The Bush Administration's guiding policy on the Middle East was that stability comes from aiding and promoting the spread of Democracy. The Obama Administration's guiding policy on the Middle East is that stability comes from discarding or even outright suppressing Middle Eastern democracies, particularly if they are not run by Arab Muslims, as sources of instability in the region.

The Bush Administration pursued a military war to overthrow a tyrant and liberate Iraq. The Obama Administration is pursuing a diplomatic war against Israel to overthrow a democratic government and establish a terrorist state. The contrast between the Bush and Obama administrations is the contrast between America's ideals in action and the same cynical pandering to Muslim dictatorships, such as Iran and Saudi Arabia, that has the Middle East a source of terrorism in the first place.

The advocates of stability naturally turn out to be the greatest supporters of appeasement, giving the murderous squeaky wheels whatever grease they think will keep them from going on homicidal purges. 17 years later, the Palestinian territories are a festering sore filled with Islamist terrorists who are continually innovating new terrorist tactics that have then been used against Allied troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Meanwhile the breakup of Yugoslavia has led to a vast drug and human smuggling pipeline into the heartland of Europe. Members of the Clinton backed KLA, which financed itself through the drug trade, have become crime bosses all through Europe... those who haven't gone on to become Islamist terrorists that is. It was left to the Bush Administration to deal with Saddam Hussein and with Osama Bin Laden, but not before the latter managed to kill 3000 Americans.

So much for stability.

As an advocate of bringing stability by appeasing tyrants and terrorists, Obama's fumbling response to the Iranian street protests is exactly what one would expect from a man who took Democracy off the table in Cairo and pushed diplomacy with the regime of the Mullahs as his foreign policy agenda.

The Iranian June Revolt has badly upset the Obama applecart, which was working to appeasing Muslim tyrannies by forcing concessions from Israel, while pandering to the Iranian regime. And now in the absence of leadership America has no useful response to make. Rather than demonize the Iranian street protests against Ahmadinejad, the way that it demonized the Venezulean street protests against Chavez, the left has increasingly chosen to side with them. This leaves Obama stuck fumbling for increasingly bolder statements on the riots to appease his domestic supporters, even as he tries to reassure the rest of the Muslim tyrannies that the United States would never interfere in their internal affairs. (A privilege apparently reserved by Obama for Israel, Greece, Germany and other Democratic nations.)

The June Revolt in Iran is bursting through the illusion that Obama is any kind of leader. The illusion of Obama's leadership has been maintained through scripted speeches, head thrust back poses and prominent liberal figures enthusiastically praising his leadership. But the real test of leadership is a crisis. And in this crisis, Obama has sat on the sidelines, gone for ice cream, fumbled and done absolutely nothing.

That is why Obama is not a leader. Beneath his media haze, Obama is a little man sitting in a big chair, distributing graft to his backers, and tiptoeing around the world to promise America's enemies that America is no longer a threat.”

When Obama calls for a 21% cut in Medicare fees to physicians and a $2500 cut in health costs per capita, that is exactly the kind of downward spiral in medical care quality he will bring to the United States. By making too few doctors cover too many patients, he will cut the quality of care to everybody.

As Obama's proposals make their way through Congress, it is vital that we all get up to speed on what is happening in Canada, so we can stop it from happening here. It is through word of mouth that we need to spread the information to undermine public support for the changes Obama would bring.”


Now, if ObamaCare is such a great idea, it really should be implemented for the members of Congress. But, not so fast; they’ve already made an exception for themselves.

“The best chance for compromise legislation on health care may be a plan under construction in the Senate Finance Committee that would pay for a public plan in part by taxing some worker health benefits.

But the union workers who helped Democrats win Congress and the White House and whose support will be key in getting a health bill signed into law would not pay the tax. With cost estimates already as high as $1.6 trillion, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., has proposed paying for the bill in part by taxing health care benefits for workers who earn more than $100,000, or $200,000 for married couples, according to those familiar with the discussions.

Baucus is also weighing a tax based on the value of health care benefits that exceed a yet-to-be determined cap. A tax on benefits that exceed the cap by a mere $3,000 could amount to $750 in taxes annually for a worker who earns as little as $34,000, say experts. But those union members serving under collective bargaining agreements would not be subjected to the tax, according to proposals under discussion.

Union workers enjoy some of the most extensive and costliest health benefits, and union officials complained their members would be unfairly burdened by a health care tax because their contracts cannot be changed quickly enough to avoid it.

Union members also represent one of the biggest and most powerful Democratic constituencies and their support of any health care reform proposal is viewed as essential to getting a bill passed in Congress.

Baucus has proposed the tax threshold on health care benefits be set higher than the cost of policies available to federal employees and he has proposed exempting until 2013 those plans negotiated as part of union contracts.

‘It’s a means of making sure that unions are foursquare behind any reform bill that comes out,’ said Henry Aaron, a health care policy expert at Brookings Institution, a Washington think tank.

Critics of the Baucus proposal to exempt unions from a health care benefits tax said the exclusion could be used to lure into unions employees who are anxious to avoid the benefits tax.”

The White House, Democrats, and MoveOn liberals are spreading health care sob stories to sell a government takeover. But there’s one health care policy nightmare you won’t hear the Obamas hyping. It’s a tale of poor, minority patient-dumping in Chicago — with First Lady Michelle Obama’s fingerprints all over it.

Both Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa and Democrat Rep. Bobby Rush of Chicago have raised red flags about the outsourcing program, run by the University of Chicago Medical Center. The hospital has non-profit status and receives lucrative tax breaks in exchange for providing charity care. Yet, it spent a measly $10 million on charity care for the poor in fiscal 2007 when Mrs. Obama was employed there—1.3 percent of its total hospital expenses, according to an analysis performed for The Washington Post by the non-partisan Center for Tax and Budget Accountability. The figure is below the 2.1 percent average for nonprofit hospitals in surrounding Cook County.

Rep. Rush called for a House investigation last week in response to months of patient-dumping complaints, noting: ‘Congress has a duty to expend its power to mitigate and prevent this despicable practice from continuing in centers that receive federal funds.’

Don’t expect the president to support a probe. While a top executive at the hospital, Mrs. Obama helped engineer the plan to offload low-income patients with non-urgent health needs. Under the Orwellian banner of an ‘Urban Health Initiative,’ Mrs. Obama sold the scheme to outsource low-income care to other facilities as a way to ‘dramatically improve health care for thousands of South Side residents.’ The program guaranteed ‘free’ shuttle rides to and from the outside clinics.

In truth, it was old-fashioned cost-cutting and favor-trading repackaged as minority aid. Clearing out the poor freed up room for insured (i.e., more lucrative) patients.If a Republican had proposed the very same program and recruited black civic leaders to front it, Michelle Obama and her grievance-mongering friends would be screaming ‘RAAAAAAAAACISM!’ at the top of their lungs.

Joe Stephens of the Washington Post wrote: ‘To ensure community support, Michelle Obama and others in late 2006 recommended that the hospital hire the firm of David Axelrod, who a few months later became the chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Axelrod’s firm recommended an aggressive promotional effort modeled on a political campaign—appoint a campaign manager, conduct focus groups, target messages to specific constituencies, then recruit religious leaders and other third-party “validators.” They, in turn, would write and submit opinion pieces to Chicago publications.’

Some health care experts saw through Mrs. Obama and her public relations man, David Axelrod—yes, the same David Axelrod who is now Mr. Obama’s senior adviser at the White House. The University of Chicago Medical Center hired Axelrod’s public relations firm, ASK Public Strategies, to promote Mrs. Obama’s Urban Health Initiative. Axelrod had the blessing of Chicago political guru Valerie Jarrett – now White House senior adviser.

Axelrod’s great contribution: Re-branding! His firm recommended re-naming the initiative after “[i]nternal and external respondents expressed the opinion that the word ‘urban’ is code for ‘black’ or ‘black and poor’….Based on the research, consideration should be given to re-branding the initiative.” Axelrod and the Obama campaign refused to disclose how much his firm received for its genius re-branding services.

In February 2009, outrage in the Obamas’ community exploded after a young boy covered by Medicaid was turned away from the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dontae Adams’ mother, Angela, had sought emergency treatment for him after a pit bull tore off his upper lip. Mrs. Obama’s hospital gave the boy a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and Tylenol and shoved him out the door. The mother and son took an hour-long bus ride to another hospital for surgery.

I’ll guarantee you this: You’ll never see the Adams family featured at an Obama policy summit or seated next to the First Lady at a joint session of Congress to illustrate the failures of the health care system.

Following the Adams incident, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) blasted Mrs. Obama and Mr. Axelrod’s grand plan. The group released a statement expressing ‘grave concerns that the University of Chicago’s policy toward emergency patients is dangerously close to “patient dumping,” a practice made illegal by the Emergency Medical Labor and Treatment Act (EMTALA)’ – signed by President Reagan, by the way – ‘and reflected an effort to ‘cherry pick’ wealthy patients over poor.’

Rewarding political cronies at the expense of the poor while posing as guardians of the downtrodden? Welcome to Obamacare.”

Did Iraqi Democracy Lead to Iranian Protests?

One thing is clear from the demonstrations in Iran against the corrupt elections, the Iranian people want their freedom. Human nature is such that people do not desire to be controlled by a government that dictates to them every minute thing they can and cannot do. Additionally, all of us want to have the freedom to express our views and speak out against injustices without fear of reprisal. These are some of the reasons America is the greatest nation on the face of the earth.

The Iranians have witnessed the freedoms that the Iraqis are now experiencing, thanks to the courageous efforts of our military under the leadership of President George W. Bush. How much of a factor did that play in the Iranian protests?

Dear Atlas,

First of all, thank you for showing the pictures of the casualties in Iran. They are graphic and disturbing but their exposure is necessary. People need to see what is happening in there. My heart goes out to those brave people in Iran, they are fighting for freedom and I admire them. They have more of a spine than many Americans today do. But that is because they have experienced some things that most Americans haven't: hardship and oppression. We have forgotten how it feels to be in their shoes. Again, may God help the Iranian people overthrow their oppressors.

I'm actually writing to you tonight to tell you how proud I have been these last few days to be an Iraq Veteran. There is something missing in our news media and all the talk about the events in Iran- Maybe, just maybe, is it at all possible that these people in Iran saw a functioning democracy right next door in Iraq and thought, ‘Why can't we have that?’ Or is this all just a coincidence? I've asked that question to a lot of people in the last few days and I refuse to believe that they are not connected. You can't tell me that those Iraqis coming out of the polls with their blackened fingers didn't have any influence on the Iranian people and what is happening today.

According to Bush and Cheney one of the reasons we went to Iraq was to set up a democracy right in the center of the Middle East in the heart of repressive regimes and that freedom would spread in a reverse domino effect. Is this the start of that? I think so. But if it is nobody wants to give any attention to it because they won't admit that Bush may have done something right. Case in point: President Obama. He was against the Iraq War from the start. It was that single issue that he rose to prominence on. He of all people does not want to acknowledge the wisdom of George W. Bush in this area. It would undermine his entire platform of Change and no ‘more of the same’ and all that. Everybody knows that Obama doesn't want to take an active role in this crisis but I just hope that his lack of action doesn't doom this for the Iranian people fighting in the streets. This is a great opportunity, the United States has waited 30 years for something like this, I just hope that President Obama doesn't blow it. I kind of wish it had happened even a year ago. Whatever happens happens. May the Iranian people free themselves from the oppressive grip of the Mullahs. I learned a lot in Iraq, but one thing stood out to me: freedom exists only for those who are worthy of it and willing to pay for it. The problem with the Iraqis was that they didn't want it bad enough. Turn on the TV, the Iranians want it. I hope they want it bad enough now and will be willing to pay for it. It won't be cheap.

Anyways, I have been especially proud of my time in Iraq these last few days. It does my heart good to see Iranians standing up for their right to vote. I feel like what we did over there had ramifications that reached further than anyone has discussed in a long time. Now we are just starting to see them. I see these brave people in Iran fighting for freedom in their streets and I feel like I helped make a big difference. If the Iranian regime collapses then there will be absolutely no doubt that Iraq was worth the struggle.

President Obama: Please do not leave the Iranian people high and dry. I beg you, please don't let this opportunity slip by.

A Palestinian Kindergarten Graduation

What’s that former President Jimmy Carter said about Hamas? The most naïve man on the face of the earth stated that the murderous terrorist group wants peace with Israel. Is he kidding? No, he is dead serious.

“I know that many of you have children and grandchildren who are graduating from Kindergarten this month. Well, the 'Palestinians' living in the 'largest concentration camp in the world' also have graduation this month. Their graduation looks just like your offspring's graduation, as you are about to see below:

Similarly to Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) operates charitable societies in the Gaza Strip, one of which is the society of Dar al-Huda [“House of Righteousness”, that is, a house which follows the traditions of Islam]. That charitable societies mostly runs kindergartens, but also youth centers, clinics, libraries, and assistance programs for orphans, people in need, and the children of prisoners held in Israeli jails.

The society is headed by Muhammad Abd al-Jawad Fura, a preacher who serves as a PIJ leader in the Gaza Strip. On June 3, 2009, a website associated with the PIJ (Pal Today) published photographs from a graduation ceremony display of kindergarten children organized by the Dar al-Huda society (kindergartens are the society's main focus of activity). The ceremony was held at Rashad al-Shawa Center in Gaza City . A show put on during the ceremony (similarly to activities held in Hamas-associated kindergartens in recent years) featured kindergarten children dressed in uniform and carrying (obviously plastic) arms confronting and killing IDF soldiers.
