The American Poker Game

"Recently, the Senate reached the 60 votes needed to pass cloture on the Obama Care Bill. President Obama declared 'this scored a big victory for the American people,' continuing to ignore that 'we the people' don’t consider this a victory by any stretch. A CNN Poll revealed that 61% of Americans don’t want Obama Care in any form. A Rasmussen Poll showed that 57% of voters say passing nothing would be preferable to passing the current legislation.
There’s been discussion that the Democrat’s believe 'we the people' will forget come the vote in November 2010. This belief underscores the huge disconnect between us and them. They are blinded by political ambition, emboldened by the 2008 Elections.
No poker face – we’re brazenly clear: we’re not going to forget. Still they cannot see we haven’t folded our hand in this poker game they are playing with our lives; we’ve no intention of doing so. Every time they refuse to hear us, we fight harder to be heard. They raise the stakes of the game, we see their call, toss in more chips, and raise them in kind.
We fervently do not want to 'fundamentally transform' America. We want to live in the free America of our blessed inheritance for which our Founding Fathers gave their lives, the shining light on a hill. John Quincy Adams said, 'You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.' Anything less is a shameful travesty, spitting on the blood shed to provide it.
We are America, not Cuba, not Europe. Our forefathers left Europe and fought the Revolutionary War to give us America. Why would we throw that away to become like Europe once again? As Proverb 26:11 says, it is 'like a dog who returns to his own vomit.'
President Ronald Reagan said, 'Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.' If the Obama Administration believes we’re going to lie down and accept the 'remaking' of America, they completely under estimate that our votes hold the winning hand with plenty of constitutional chips to spare.
President George Washington said in 1787, 'The power under the Constitution will always be in the People. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can--and undoubtedly will--be recalled.'
Patrick Henry said, 'The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.'
The Obama Administration can keep upping the ante in this fight for America. We’ll respond in November 2010 with an unexpected passion. Forget? We can hardly wait to finally be heard! We’re like a stampede of horses chomping at the bit to get out of this gate and get to the 2010 Elections. We anxiously anticipate the moment we can reveal our winning hand, triumphantly gathering the chips of our America. We’ll not stand for the remaking of America. But we’ll fight without ceasing to retake Her. Though they cannot see it, it’s no gamble at all for 'we the people.' The odds are in our favor. We’re grateful to our Founding Fathers who paid with their lives to make sure it would be so."
