Survey on Religion

An interesting finding, not surprising in the least.

From One News Now:

Mississippi declared most religious state

"PORTLAND, Maine - A new survey says Mississippi is the most religious state.

The Pew Center's Forum on Religion and Public Life found that in Mississippi, 82 percent of those surveyed said religion is very important in their lives.

Alabama and Arkansas tied for second at 74 percent, just ahead of Louisiana and Tennessee.

Vermont and New Hampshire were at the bottom of the list, with only 36 percent of respondents saying religion is very important in their lives.

The rest of New England, Alaska and Colorado also were among the least religious states.

The New England states also ranked low in how often residents attended worship services, how often they prayed and the strength of their belief in God."
