Now, this guy gets it. For the sake of national security, Muslims should be willing to endure closer scrutiny before boarding our transportation systems. After all, if they have nothing to hide, then what's the big deal? They and other non-Muslims will all be much safer. Don't peaceful Muslims also want the benefit of more secure travel?

So I'm glad they are paying closer attention to me, because it helps make sure that no one brings a bomb on the plane, which in turn makes sure I'll get to my destination alive.'

There is no way to respond to such a person. This type of person who would be more pleased with being blown out of the sky than being seen as 'insensitive'. Many Muslims now are saying that we should not 'racially profile Muslims'. Sorry but there is nothing wrong with 'racial profiling'. (racial profiling is not the same as pulling over someone for 'driving while black') And the fact is that if Muslims want to be taken seriously on this issue, instead of saying 'don't racially profile us' they should instead say that killing of civilians is wrong and chastize the radicals who would kill in the name of Allah.
Next time I get on a plane, I hope that the TSA won't be afraid to check my baggage, and the baggage of whoever else is in front of me or behind me. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings or the feelings of anyone else. Just be sure to get me from my point of origin to my destination alive. And everyone else on the plane too."

This just shows the logical fallacy of what you're suggesting:
Abdulmutallab was Nigerian. Not "Middle Eastern".
If you profile "Middle Eastern young men" and they'll switch to Africans. Or Asians. Or Caucasians. Or whatever it takes.
The point is, if they manage to get to the airport AT ALL, then we've almost certainly lost.
Racial profiling is a "feel good" tactic, not a strategy to stop terrorism.
Diogenes: (hypothetical) there's a rash of murders in South Central Los Angeles which is predominantly black, two black men were seen leaving the scene, should the police focus there attention on Whites, Asians, Hispanics or Blacks in their search for the perpetrators?
This is easy, even with someone like you with limited mental understanding and capability.
The liberals may think this is a “feel good” tactic, but to law enforcement it's part of the identification process.
Racial profiling may not stop terrorism itself , but it can detour a disaster and save lives.
If you want to stop terrorism, you have to go to the root of the indoctrination, which is preached by radical clerics daily.
There's a whole different aspect to your hypothetical, namely that the police are actively looking for suspects. And guess what? Even under those circumstances, they STILL can't stop somebody simply because they're black.

That is false! If they believe that the public safety is in jeopardy, they can't stop just about anybody they want to serve and protect the citizens.
Anon, you need to do just a little research before you write stuff, OK? Profiling based solely on race has been knocked down time and again in court after court. Wake up; it's not the 1950s and the Klan and John Birch Society (sadly for you) don't have free rein to do as they wish.
