Muslim Man Released From Jail After Posting $100 Bond… Threatened to Blow Up Local Stores

Mohamed Ibrahim is out of jail after posting $100 bond. Mohamed, 35, threatened businesses on Poplar Avenue, Summer Avenue, Mendenhall, Perkins and Danny Thomas Boulevard. The suspect tried to kick out the windows of a patrol car during the arrest and police said they had to use pepper spray to subdue him.
Memphis officials released Mohamed Ibrahim from jail after he threatened to blow up several local stores. He was carrying a knife and driving a PT Cruiser when he was arrested.
MyEyeWitness News reported:
'Tonight, Mohamed Ibrahim is out after posting $100 bond. Earlier in the day, he was arrested after police say he walked into several Memphis businesses and threatened to blow them up.
Court records show Ibrahim was also telling people he was Muslim, and wanted to start a jihad, or holy war, in Memphis.
Police say when they arrested him, he had a butcher knife hidden in one of his jacket sleeves.'
There’s more… The Commercial Appeal reported:
'The FBI found three Islamic cassette tapes and miscellaneous papers in the suspect’s car, which were removed for additional study, according to the affidavit. Police charged Ibrahim with commission of an act of terrorism, filing false reports and disorderly conduct. He posted $100 bond and was released, pending his court date on Monday.'
The local store owners must be feeling much better now that Mohamed is back on the street."
UPDATE: Good news from Hot Air:
"Either the original reporting was incorrect or the bail got increased in Ibrahim’s court appearance this morning. According to Shelby County courthouse website, the bail is now at $50,000 (case number 09148795). He has a court date of January 11th."

What a complete phony you are! I ripped you for posting false info yet again, and you deleted my comment YET AGAIN and then had the gall to cite some other rightwingnut blogger for "updating" the info. Meanwhile, you still leave the false info in place on your blog!
Was it wrong of me to suggest that you do at least a cursory check for truthfulness before you post stuff? Is that an unreasonable suggestion? Did I hurt your delicate sensibilities in asking you to be truthful?
Diogenes, I would have given you credit for the new info if you had left out all the name-calling. After you pointed out the update, I searched for a link to report that info.
The Memphis newspaper is the one that reported the $100 bond. How on earth was I supposed to know that info was incorrect?

Also BTW, one of the things you (conveniently for you) deleted is the likelihood that this guy is bipolar and off his meds. His behavior is a lot more in keeping with a bipolar individual off their meds than it does a Muslim.
Also, isn't it noteworthy that you-- once again -- paint all of Islam with the same slimy brush that should be reserved for radical jihadist Muslims. They all look alike, think alike and act alike, anyway. ALL Muslims want to blow up businesses.

I never once said all Muslims were jihadists, but nevertheless Islam is responsible for all the terrorist activity. Islam--the one common thread that links them all.

I didn't suggest that the Nigerian kid was bi-polar. I was referring to the FACT that the wife of the guy in Memphis specifically stated that he was bi-polar and off his meds. Whether or not that's true, I don't know, but his behavior is certainly more in keeping with a bi-polar guy off his meds than it is in keeping with the bahvior of the average Muslim.

If we start discriminating against people because they're Muslim, if we blame all Muslims for the actions of radical Islam... then America is already dead.
Did we learn nothing from the Japanese internment in WWII? Or do you even know anything about the Japanese internment? Did you ever teach your homeskooled kids about Korematsu? Somehow, I doubt it.
Yep, my kids know all about the Japanese internment under FDR, if you recall. We read a biography together about a Japanese boy who lived in one of these camps.
Yeah, it happened under FDR, and FDR is a Democrat. Does that mean I'm supposed to automatically defend it? Guess again! The Japanese internment was one of the most shameful acts ever taken by an Americna government, and it was magnified by the unconscionable SCOTUS decision in Korematsu that OKed the internment.
Do you think the internment was OK? Don't you see the parallel line of thought you have with Muslims today?
