Catholic Hospitals Support ObamaCare

While I disagree with the doctrine of the Catholic Church, they could always be counted on to stand for life issues. But shockingly, Catholic hospitals are defying their bishops and have dropped the ball on the Dem's healthcare plan which will require taxpayers to pay for abortions. Whatever happened to their promise to shut down hospitals if the vile Freedom of Choice Act was passed? Is this so different?

Read from Gateway Pundit:

Catholic Hospitals Give Democrats Green Light on Taxpayer Funding for Abortions

"Dear G-d. It’s a done deal and those who value life lost.
Catholic Hospitals have signaled that they back the Senate’s compromise on abortion which will, of course, result in taxpayer funded abortions in this country. This gives the democrats in Congress the excuse they need to vote for Obamacare.
The New York Times reported:

'In an apparent split with Roman Catholic bishops over the abortion-financing provisions of the proposed health care overhaul, the nation’s Catholic hospitals have signaled that they back the Senate’s compromise on the issue, raising hopes of breaking an impasse in Congress and stirring controversy within the church.

The Senate bill, approved Thursday morning, allows any state to bar the use of federal subsidies for insurance plans that cover abortion and requires insurers in other states to divide subsidy money into separate accounts so that only dollars from private premiums would be used to pay for abortions.

Just days before the bill passed, the Catholic Health Association, which represents hundreds of Catholic hospitals across the country, said in a statement that it was “encouraged” and “increasingly confident” that such a compromise “can achieve the objective of no federal funding for abortion.” An umbrella group for nuns followed its lead.

The same day, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops called the proposed compromise “morally unacceptable
.”'"

Appalling! These hospitals have thrown Catholic teachings, and even worse, the unborn, under the bus.

Is it even possible for you to conisder the possibility that, if it's OK with Catholic hospitals and Catholic nuns, it might be YOU who is so far out-of-step? Religious Rightwingnuts apparently have no sense of reality whatsoever.

Not all staff members, doctors and hospital employees are Catholic, the majority them are actually secularist.

It's simple, change the name of the hospitals and sell all hospital property belonging to the church.

Leftwingloons apparently have no sense of reality whatsoever.

Who was using that PC version of God (G-d)?

Once again, your lack of knowledge betrays you, Anon.

There are some very conservative religious people who feel that writing the word "God" is sacrilegious, so they substitute "G-D" -- just the way that some Jews feel that using the term "Yahweh" to describe God is sacrilgeious, so they use the term "Jehovah".

It's got nothing to do with being PC, and it sure isn't a liberal thing.

And, wile I'll grant you that "not all staff members, doctors and hospital employees are Catholic" where do yu get the idea that "the majority them are actually secularist"? Really? Where's your proof of that?

Diogenes: well, you caught me.

I didn't do the research and your right I can't prove that a majority of the staff, doctors and employees of Catholic hospitals are secularist.

Sorry, I’ll be more vigilant next time
