I could care less what religion Barack Obama's grandmother follows. But, what does concern me is the fact that Americans were lied to during the presidential campaign in the effort to get Obama into the White House.
Did you know Obama's "Christian" grandma is currently visiting Mecca, Saudi Arabia for the Islamic Hajj? Interesting, is it not?

First off, Sarah Obama is NOT the mother of Barack Obama's father. She's his stepmother. So Sarah isn't Barack's biological grandmother.
Secondly, Sarah said she was a Christian in an interview a year and a half ago. Or, she might have said... she doesn't even speak English.
Third: WHO CARES? What difference does it make what religion she is... except to Religious Rightwingnut bigots like yourself. Since a large Muslim population exists in Africa, it's not surprising at all. Do you honestly (you remember what that is, right?) think that Barack Obama would have lost the 2008 presidential election if voters knew that his stepgrandmother in Africa (who he's actually met ahandful of time) was Muslim?
Get back in touch with reality.
You missed my point, Diogenes. It doesn't matter what her religion is. I already stated that. My complaint was that we were lied to.
And no, I don't think it would have affected the outcome of the election.

Who lied, exactly? Not Obama; he wasn't quoted in the story, and I don't recall the campaign ever discussing his African step-grandmother's religion. (Unless you're a religious bigot, it's less than unimportant.) So you're down to an eighty-something African woman who doesn't speak English, or maybe something getting lost in translation.
And there's also the possibility that Sarah Obama isn't particularly Muslim OR Christian, or she changed her bliefs in the last year and a half.
There's nothing to this that YOU should label as "lying", what with the malicious misstatements you pump out on a daily basis!
I kind of agree with Diogenes, I don't think anyone really cares about this story.
EVEN if Obama somehow persuaded this lady to lie about her faith, so what? Obama has lied about bigger things than the faith of his grandmother (e.g. all the stuff he said about his father being a goat herder and a "freedom fighter")
