Navy Seals Face Assault Charges

What is happening to our beloved country? We expect political correctness from the Left, but not from our military.

First, we hear about Major Nidal Hasan, who the military knew was an America-hating time bomb waiting to go off, and the military's unwillingness to stop him cost 14 innocent lives. That's enough right there to make Americans stand up and demand that we stop this pc madness and do what's necessary to protect our troops and our citizens. If Muslims are offended, so be it.

Now, we find out that three Navy Seals are facing assault charges. They bravely captured the ringleader of a mob of thugs who killed four Americans in Fallujah, dragged their disfigured, burnt bodies through the streets, and then hung them on a bridge. The "poor" captured terrorist claims that the Navy Seals gave him a bloodly lip.

Well, so what! The only mistake our Seals made was to let this pathetic excuse for a human being live. We are at war for crying out loud. Besides, since when can we trust what any Islamic terrorist says? They will say anything to further their jihadist cause and to bring harm to our soldiers.

What is outrageous is that our Navy is going along with this travesty. Is the Obama Administration behind this? My guess is yes. The America-hating president and his cohorts will not stand by the military they disdain. Everything is ass-backward in this administration.

I was probably wrong to give Obama the benefit of the doubt for agreeing to send an additional 30,000+ troops to Afghanistan. He cares nothing for the welfare of our soldiers or for what's best for this country. But, he can't have a loss in Afghanistan which may reflect badly on him. That's what it's all about, folks.

Read from Joshua Pundit:

Navy SEALS Face Court martial - For Capturing Wanted Terrorist

fallujah

"Some of you might recognize the picture above. It's a picture of a crowd of Bani Sadr's Iraqi Shi'ite sympathizers and militiamen in Fallujah partying near a bridge over the Euphrates River. Oh, and those four blackened, burnt out husks hanging from the bridge? They used to be four of your fellow Americans, men who had wishes, dreams, families and futures just like you. At the time this particular photo was taken, they had just been murdered by al-Sadr's men, their mutilated bodies dragged through the streets of Fallujah and the corpses burned beyond recognition..after which the remains were hung on the bridge and turned into the party favors you see above.

The ringleader who oversaw this, Ahmed Hashim Abed code named 'Objective Amber' by our military was recently captured at great risk by three of our Navy SEALS - who are now facing assault charges and a court martial because this lawyered up jihadi has accused them of what amounts to police brutality, claiming he was hit in the mouth.

And believe it or not, the Navy is bending over backwards to try to convict the SEALS:

'Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it. {....}

United States Central Command declined to discuss the detainee, but a legal source told FoxNews.com that the detainee was turned over to Iraqi authorities, to whom he made the abuse complaints. He was then returned to American custody. The SEAL leader reported the charge up the chain of command, and an investigation ensued
.'

The key to this is in the first sentence of that last paragraph. This is coming via the Iraqi authorities.

Pretty easy to punch yourself in the mouth or bang your face against a wall and say that those evil Americans did it - especially when some of your sympathetic countrymen swear to it and the American military, at the behest of Washington, is bending over backwards to prove how Muslim friendly they are.

In other words, this is the bogus Haditha Marines all over again.

Those men went through hell, including being called murderers on national TV by Congressman Jack Murtha simply to massage the Iraqi government based on one highly biased Iraqi source. It was a disgrace, a travesty of military justice and they were all acquitted.

The way the Navy is conducting itself this time is also reminiscent of Haditha. The three SEALS, instead of receiving a commendation for completing a dangerous mission were offered an Admiral's mast, with the likely promise that they'd receive a light, administrative sentence like being busted down a step in rank or a Letter of Reprimand in their jackets if they were good boys and pled guilty and made the Navy look nice and PC.

That alone tells me that the charges and the evidence are likely suspect, because if the Navy had them dead to rights, given the current political climate, they would likely have gone right to a general Court Martial and made a showpiece out of the SEALS.

Let me run the absurdity of all this by you again. Here we have three of our elite warriors, given the best training and equipment America can provide at a cost of literally thousands of dollars each. And instead of being allowed to use those skills to do what they enlisted to do, they will - wait for it - be spending months defending themselves in court for the sin of allegedly hitting a jihadi murderer like Ahmed Hashim Abed once in the kisser!

This is not as small a matter as it seems. It's part of a larger pattern.

There are 14 people who died unnecessarily at Fort Hood because of this exact climate of appeasing Islamists at all costs. Major Hasan was a blatant and public jihadi and the Army knew it. So did the FBI. Neither of them were willing to do anything about it, so ingrained is the virus.

And there are five of the 9/11 conspirators who are going to walk into a courtroom in New York City and use it as a platform to justify what they did...and rest assured, actual audience will not be present at the trial, but spread across the Muslim world.

It's reported that the first thing Khalid Sheikh Muhammed said to his interrogators after 9/11 was that he wasn't going to say anything until he saw his lawyer. They went ahead and interrogated him anyway, and saved a great many American lives in the process. If it happened today, those same interrogators would likely shrug their shoulders and put Khalid Shiekh Muhammed back in his cell to await his attorney without worrying about anything else but getting harshly disciplined by their superiors or sued.

The Islamists have learned over time that we would rather suffer any indignity rather than honestly admit to ourselves how much they hate us,or that we're actually at war. So they will continue to up the ante. And so far, it appears that we are willing to continue to play let's pretend.

If we continue to handcuff and punish the men and women who have volunteered to try to defend us simply for doing their jobs we will pay a price for that. And the price will only go up.

It always does."

Good Lord, does common sense EVER enter your cranial cavity?

Do you honestly believe that the President of the United States has so much free time on his hands that he would make sure he was fully briefed about three SEALs who allegedly punched a guy in the mouth, and now face a court martial BECAUSE THEY REQUESTED IT? That the President of the United States is doing that because he hates the military and the United States?

You're delusional. Your hatred of this man has caused something to snap inside you.

If it wasn't for rightwingnuts like you, I'd be pretty upset about the underlying story myself. But since it's you nuts that have taken up this issue and tried to score political points with a gratuitous swipe at Obama, I'm wondering what the REAL story is. Since it's guaranteed that you don't know what truth is, we'll never know from this blog.

Diogenes: If anybody is a liar, it's you! Isn’t that what a lawyer does for a living? Didn’t you say you were a lawyer?

Why should the president take the time to look at another so-called torture claim?

Oh that's right, he's to busy with the KSM torture fiasco and with his 25 trips to the golf course since February and his blame America tour around the world that produces absolutely nothing.

I can see why you would think the C&C doesn't have the time to look into this false allegation.

Your hatred for America and President Bush has caused something to snap inside you.

Have a good one, TURKEY!

Debra: Colorado Springs is a Conservative town and with Peterson Air Force Base near by I can't see them letting some radical leftwing extremist teach their children anything.

God help those children!

Anon, despite your vitriolic ad hominem attack, you never once offered a reasonable explanation as to why you're convinced Obama was pushing this prosecution.

What it LOOKS lik, on the surface -- and it's only a guess on my part, but it's a more educated guess than you're capable of -- the brass wanted to claim that they took disciplinary action against these three SEALS, just to shut up the critics... and the SEALs said no. Remember, they REQUESTED the courts martial, indicating that they'd prefer complete exonoration )even with the smallpossibility of a conviction) as opposed to copping a plea. That's probably a reasonable move on their part. But trying to lay all of this at the feet of Obama is simply childish vindictiveness.
