He’s also the founder of the national homosexual group GLSEN, which sets up “gay straight alliance” clubs in high schools and middle schools across America. GLSEN is officially supported by the Massachusetts Legislature.
Jennings is also a former member of the radical homosexual group “Act Up”, and he contributed to this depraved and offensive museum exhibit on “Act Up” now at Harvard University (see press release).'

Yeah, I'll easily defend Jennings. He's entitled to his own opinion in America. That's one of the great things about this country: people can express their opinions. And you don't have to like it.
His relation to the whole exhibit is tangential AT BEST. he's a FORMER member of ACT-UP. The program thanks Jennings and many others for unspecified "support, gifts, and grants".
Would I use a picture of the Pope next to a used condom? No. But I understand the gay community's point of view: the Catholic Church's dogmatic (and one might say idiotic, in this day and age) ban on condoms as a major killer within the gay commmunity given the AIDS epidemic.
I'm sorry that you find this offensive, but guess what? Your opinion doesn't matter any more than mine or Kevin Jennings. What he has said and done is a lot less offensive and a lot less obscene that what you say on this website on a daily basis, if you ask me.
You are right, Diogenes. We do not have to like what Jennings does. But, you are missing the main point here.
As an Obama czar, he represents the president. Should Obama have someone like Jennings, who clearly would offend millions of Americans if they knew about this, as his employee? I think not.
Your problem is that you refuse to call out Obama on even the most offensive actions, like this. Even liberals should see that this man should go because he is a major pervert.
You haven't begun to prove a single instance of how this man Jennings is, as you so colorfully put it, a "pervert". You and the Religious Rightwingnuts play "connect the dots", startin at a point you disagree with and, seventeen steps later, connect it to Obama, or one of Obama's assistants.
Quite honestly, I find you to be a pervert. Your twisted sense of morality and of "Christianity" are perverted. If Bush had decided to put you in his administration (and he put a LOT of people like you in his administration!) I think it would reflect on what an idiot Bush was, but I wouldn't suggest that he couldn't do that if he chose. When you win (or, in Bush's case, steal) an election, you get to do things like that.
If you truly insist on talking about perverts, please explain how Bush could allow a man like Ted Haggard open access to the Oval Office. Now THAT is a pervert! (And Haggard was one, too.)
I agree with you on Haggard, though I don't think Bush knew about his immoral activity.
Jennings' behavior has come to light, and still Obama does nothing. There's a huge difference.
Still awaiting evidence on Jennings being a "pervert". Haggard lied, cheated, stole, used drugs, engaged in homosexual acts while claiming that he was strictly heterosexual AND castigating homosexuals from his pulpit. You're trying to slime Jennings by proxy, and that's lower than low.
