Obama Care is such a rotten plan that nearly half of the uninsured oppose it. These are the individuals that we would presume would be chomping at the bit to get healthcare. Yet, even they are not especially thrilled with what the Democrats have to offer. I guess they prefer quality unrationed healthcare to the snake oil Obama and his comrades are pushing on us.
But fear not! The liberals could care less about what the public thinks. It's ram it down our throat time. Power, baby, power. That is the real motive behind healthcare reform. They gotta get control of 1/6 of our economy as we drive closer and closer to socialism. They've had their eyes on this moment for decades, and they are not about to let it slip through their hands.
Read about the recent polling of uninsured Americans and their view of Obama Care, via Sweetness & Light:
42% Of Uninsured Don’t Approve O-Care
"From Rasmussen:
Among the Uninsured, 58% Favor President’s Health Care Plan
Sunday, September 20, 2009
'Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters without health insurance favor passage of the health care plan proposed by President Obama and Congressional Democrats. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of 504 uninsured voters found that 35% are opposed.
Those figures include 30% who Strongly Favor the plan and 26% who are Strongly Opposed.
These results were obtained from nightly tracking surveys conducted from September 8-17, a time frame that included the President’s speech and subsequent bounce. Among all voters surveyed during this time frame, 46% favored passage of the health care plan. After the bounce wore off, support for the President’s plan fell to 43%.
Perhaps the most striking thing about the results is how much they mirror the results of those with insurance. Sixty-eight percent (68%) of uninsured Republicans oppose the plan while 88% of Democrats favor it. Those not affiliated with either party are evenly divided.
Forty-eight percent (48%) of voters without health insurance are Democrats and 24% Republican.
Forty-four percent (44%) of the uninsured are politically conservative, 26% moderate, and 27% liberal. Uninsured liberals overwhelmingly support the plan while most uninsured conservatives are opposed.
Thirty-five percent (35%) believe that if the legislation passes, the quality of health care will improve. Thirty-one percent (31%) say it will get worse.
Forty-one percent (41%) of the uninsured believe that passage of the legislation will increase the cost of health care while 26% believe it will cut costs…'
Of course we are still wondering what this 'health care plan proposed by President Obama and Congressional Democrats' is.
Even Mr. Obama says there are five Congressional plans.
And, collectively, they only contain 80% of what he wants in them."
