Good Guys Vs. Bad Guys

Just exactly whose side is President Obama taking in this war against terror? Oops. I forgot, I must not say those nasty words anymore. What is the term he uses? Oh, that’s right, we are in the midst of an “overseas contingency operation”. I had to Google that term because it’s so absurd, not to mention, difficult to remember.

Anyway, let’s review some of the decisions the Obama Administration has made regarding the “overseas contingency operation”. We’ve got dangerous terrorists in Gitmo who are being released into society against the will of the American people . Chalk that decision up to sheer naiveté or perhaps absolute lunacy.

Next, we have the Obama Administration appointing a prosecutor to investigate CIA interrogators for using actions that have kept you and me and our loved ones safe from the Islamic terrorists since 9/11. After the horrors of that infamous day, none of us believed that we could go eight years without another attack on our soil. After all, our security personnel had to get it right 100% of the time, whereas the enemy only had to outsmart us once to cause another day of infamy in our homeland. Yet, by the grace of God, and with the help of dedicated spies, we have remained safe.

What on earth are Obama and his Marxists pals thinking? These CIA spies should be honored for doing a spectacular job of securing the American people, not vilified or prosecuted for doing their job. Of course, our president says he does not support this “war against our spies”. Yeah, right! I believe that about as much as I believe that he somehow missed the offensive sermons preached by his racist, anti-Semitic pastor in Chicago or that he wasn’t great pals with Bill Ayers.

The result of the Obama policy is that the president is releasing terrorists and attempting to prosecute the good guys. Again, who side is he on?

Or is this just a ploy to distract the American people from his abominable healthcare plan that will ration medical treatment to the elderly of our country while funding care for illegals, abortion, and sex-change operations. On second thought, if I were doing something so outrageous as that, I’d probably want to distract the American people too.

Obama's War on our Spies
by Jed Babbin

“The criminal indictments may as well be captioned, ‘The United States vs. The Central Intelligence Agency,’ because that’s the correct way to identify the adversaries. The Democrats’ war on our intelligence agencies has now become a two-front war with the Obama administration attacking where Congressional Democrats couldn’t.

Attorney General Eric Holder has announced he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the CIA interrogators who used tough interrogation techniques to see which of them will be prosecuted. Holder has drawn a line in the sand.

On one side stands the US Department of Justice, its army of second-guessers and scalp-hunters at the ready, with unlimited time and an unlimited budget to pursue whatever theory of the law it chooses. On the other sits the interrogators and CIA bureaucrats who have been trying -- sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing -- to get terrorist detainees to give up intelligence information that will save American lives.

Unlike the Justice Department, they don’t have unlimited funds to fight in court for years. There won’t be gaggles of high-priced lawyers donating their services to defend these people. Many of their lives will be ruined, and fortunes lost.

Grinning on the sidelines will be the terrorists and the nations that sponsor them, wondering how America can be so incredibly stupid as to hobble its principal spy agency in the middle of a war that cannot be won without that agency’s success in everything it does."

Read it all.

I repeat: whose side are they on?

And remember, all it takes is one successful strike from the enemy and then the Obama Administration will have some explaining to do because they are guilty of furthering endangering us all. Of course, if we get hit, they’ll find some way of blaming it on George W. Bush, their chief bogeyman.

UPDATE: Holder’s law firm represents 17 Gitmo terrorists.
