God has convicted me that I am in the wrong when I harshly attack President Obama personally. He is our president, and because of his position, I am to show him respect. I can still speak out against policies I disagree with, but in a more respectful manner. Therefore, I apologize to any I have offended with my over-the-top rhetoric.
God is still on the throne, and He has permitted Obama to be our president. I don’t for one moment believe that Obama was God’s choice because of his many positions that are contrary to God’s Word, including abortion, homosexuality, and a disdain for Israel. But, let’s face it. America has rejected God and His principles. For that reason, just as the Israelites who abandoned God thousands of years ago were forced to live under the rule of an evil King Ahab, America deserves to suffer under the leadership of President Obama.
In the future, I will attempt to be more respectful and less harsh against the president and my other opponents. After all, before becoming a Christian, I used to be in their camp. I was deceived, just as they currently are. But, praise be to God, He had mercy on me for all my sins and misguided beliefs; therefore, I should do the same.
If I revert back to my old fleshly ways, please hold me accountable. And I ask that all those who leave comments to please tone down their harsh rhetoric as well.

I didn't see the left respecting the Bush presidency for 8 years!
What's good for the right should be good for the left as well!
If not, this country is headed for disaster!
Good to hear a change of heart, Ms. Moore... or at least a change in approach.
Now, if only your more "ardent admirers" get a clue.......
To Anonymous: You are absolutely correct in that the Left has always gone after Bush with a vengeance. But, as we were taught from our early youth: Two wrongs don't make a right.
I don't for a moment mean that we should roll over and play dead, just oppose the policies without the vengeance.
Besides, I'm learning that when we come across too harsh, we don't win others to our cause. They react with anger and are unwilling to listen to what we are saying. Respectful discord can, in the end, be more powerful. Think about it.
Debra: while I respect your opinion, you will never win over the left!
They are to narcissistic and hateful.
I believe they actually hate themselves and to vent there anger and frustration they attack anybody that doesn't think or act like them.
They are lost and a waste of time!
I agree; the Left will not be won over, but there are moderates that only hear the lies that the mainstream media propogate. They need to hear the truth, and they can be won.
And there are moderates who sided with conservatives for decades (myself included) until they woke up and realized how badly the ultrarightwingnuts had hoodwinked us.
It's not the media that's turned our heads. It's reality. It's Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld et al.
When a press flack like Scott McClelland comes out and tells you how the Bush administration misled America -- when HE was one of the guys charged with misleading the press -- then it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. Or die of extinction, like the dinosaurs.
Diogenes: Scott McClelland? Scott's deer-in-the-headlights routine and his obvious incompetence got him fired!
Disgruntle employee ring a bell?
Scott McClelland was the Jimmy Carter of White House press secretaries — totally incompetent while in the job and an utter disgrace afterwards.
Scott McClelland was just FINE until he authored a book that pulled the curtain back on Bushie. Fired? Not a chance. Bushie even talked about sitting on the porch in rocking chairs, talking about "the good old days" with McClelland once they both retired.
No, McClelland is much like Colin Powell -- GREAT guys, fineAmericans -- right up until the moment that they broke ranks with the rightwingnut administration. THEN, and only then, they became Public Enemies #1.
Deviate from the "party line" at your own risk! Too bad for Bushie and the Big Dick that history books don't get written on that basis.
